drover had to deliver 2 orders I was the nearest my food is now cold as was delivered last. also as witnessed by the driver my drink was not delivered

Not great tonight! Ordered a large chips to share and we got a box full of odds and ends, hardly any proper chips in there - did we get the leftovers?! My Hubby’s Cod Roe was terrible too - tasted undercooked and not very fresh at all. Dinner ended up in the bin. Disappointing as we’ve ordered from here many times and usually very good, but tonight was a total let down.

food good as always but i ordered the large cod and got the something smaller that the usual medium cod , very poor really as price of fish now is crazy so to get such a little piece is poor from the shop

I ordered chicken chips, the chicken must have been heated and couple of times before it was served, it was so dry, unbelievable. I will not be ordering again, that's for sure, it was binned faster than it was delivered

I'm not gonna say that this is the greatest chippy in London... far from it. But if you are feeling nostalgic and yearning for the "proper" old school chippy experience, this place will not disappoint.

Was absolutely delicious. The chicken was cooked the way I like it which is very well done and the skin was nice and crispy.

Chips were old and dry. Chicken not great this time.

Horrible ! The delivery time changed twice! Arrived late! The food is cold and old like rubber !i think ut was reheated or something… Im so dissapointed!

the fish chips and mushy peas where freezing cold I'm not impressed as i paid well over £40 for my order that's a he'll of a lot of money exspecailly to get your food delivered freezing cold

Got a large chips for an overpriced £4.50 to receive what anywhere else would sell as a small, only chip shop in thamesmead so they rip off customers then shut shop early at 8pm each day which is bizarre. Must be so they can all go home and laugh over how they're self sabotaging or something. With any luck will be out of business soon.

The food is it was cold the chips it wasn’t cooked enough time the delivery guy is very rude don’t even know how to talk properly is a African guy with a strong accent these uneducated person please left him home as is not a good image

my order never arrived, there was a problem and instead of calling me they took it back and still changed me , no refund ,no food 😭😭😭

Service with a smile NOT, Had Sausage in batter & Chips over £5 Took 4 chips out of the bag & wondered where the rest were? Obviously they cannot wrap chips hence the tiny bags, Very over priced & portion size is for 6yo girls..

Paid £3.60 for a portion not even a toddler would be happy with :( I used to be a regular customer but won’t be anymore, the sizes have dropped massively but the prices have gone up.

The fish was awful. Completely dry, looked like it had been cooked hours ago, not nice at all, especially given the price for a piece of fish these days

Second time going into Britannia Fish Bar to order fish and chips again, to take away/out to be eaten at home. First time, we ordered 2 Haddocks and 2 portions of large chips (came in a nice box covered with an old newspaper design). They were very generous portions. The Haddock batter was not too oily or heavy, chips were a little soft & undercooked. 2nd time around today (12th April), ordered 2 Haddocks and one regular portion of chips. (£19.80 in total). Regular chips came in a paper bag and Haddock put into two separate fish and chip box (simple design). This time, both fish and chips were cooked perfectly! Quick service at the fish bar. Easy to pay (cash or card). Clean floors and walls. Staff always offer to put in salt and vinegar on chips, although Staff could smile a little more to bring some cheers to the place. Overall, recommended.

Great food as usual but the kids portion was extremely small - I'm wondering if the 'kids meal' is intended for a toddler?? Most kids over the age of 5 would not be happy with such a small sized portion (I could honestly count the chips ). Kids have a healthy appetite these days - please take note Britannia.... other than that minor complaint - all the food came hot and everything was so tasty!

Not sure what happened? but the food was not good today (tasted stale - probably due to using old oil) and to top it off - the food cold! Couldn't eat it .... waste of money!

Well, very disappointed with the second experience. Food was late, arrived cold, chicken burger was way too salty. Not likely to order from this place again. The app kept saying for an hour "still trying to allocate driver"... then after an hour the food shows up suddenly, even though the app said it was still 60 minutes away. On a more positive note, the driver was polite, he tried his best, lovely chap...

I always order from Britannia whenever I fancy fish and chips as they're the best and they actually take note of the 'notes', The delivery drivers are always nice too - I don't think I've ever come across a rude one yet!

The fish was sent out burnt! Literally almost black burnt. This was ordered for a child! She can’t even bite on it as it’s hard as a rock burnt! Very disappointed this time! I called the shop and they just said:” call just eat and complain

Food is normally amazing. Chips under cooked and missing a sausage. Not happy.

Ordered Savaloy and chips, what a mistake the chips were like reheated left overs and the Savaloy was so dry the skin split open. Avoid this place it is a rip off, I don't mind paying for good food but this was way off the mark. Even the local pigeons don't eat the discarded leftovers from other customers.

Just went there to buy a large portion of chips to go with my Chinese takeaway as I didn't want thin fries, and god what a mistake. Charged me £4 for them and they looked like they had warmed up leftover chips from yesterday. Absolutely shocking. No wonder they have a big glass door and window as they definitely see me coming. I feel completely riped off. I will never ever use them again.

I am usually very happy with meals from Britania Fish Bar, but this time, was totally different. Chips were cold and over-fried, the fish was also over-fried ... but the worst was the fact that you put so much peper .... What exactly happened? Did u put the entire peper pack in there?! Not joking but probably my hemoroids will return after this meal 🙄. Please please... go easy on the pepper

Lovely food - hot & fresh! My only criticism is that the portion sizes were small (almost like a kid's portion - especially the chips) !! Please don't skimp on the chips Britannia - this is not the first time I've noticed that the portion size was small.
