The restaurant lush the employees amazing

Smack in the centre of Bristol city centre so perfectly situated for shopping, rooms were small but very clean and tidy with a good tv and a fridge and tea/coffee available, lovely shower cubicle, heating and aircon are in the room and easy to use. Staff at the desk were friendly, there is a huge carpark connected to the hotel and if you pay for parking at the hotel reception there is a nice discount its £27 a day in the carpark normally but only £17 if you are in the hotel. I'd certainly recommend this hotel and would stay again.

This was a bad experience; the room we were put in (£270 per night) was filthy and dilapidated, when we requested to change we were informed it wouldn’t be possible. While the staff were pleasant the customer services just wasn’t on point. While the location and function rooms are amazing we won’t be back to this particular M and neither will our relatives who cancelled reservations after learning of our experience. Given the state of the room we didn’t try the restaurant. We are all long-standing Marriott Patrons both in the States and the UK; ultimately the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel is in need of renovation re the rooms. As above, there were some genuinely nice front of house staff.

The girl working at the bar Tuesday night needs to learn some manners. She was straight-up rude, and it was so obvious she had a problem with hijabi women. Made us feel like we weren’t welcome at all, like we were begging or ordering for something out of her own pocket!

Visited this hotel for a wedding in Bristol, Excellent Hotel, great clean and airy room tasty breakfast and good food at the Millar and Carter. Will definitely visit again

Excellent stay. Wonderful staff. Parking £17 for day before and day after nights stay which is great value for money and secure. Would definitely stay here again!

good hotel and in the centre of bristol

This was a wonderful hotel and definitely worth spending extra on the executive suite to have access to the lounge and food and drink extras with this. Staff were lovely and easy to talk to my only complaint would be the shower head in our room had a split so was spraying water outside the shower so really not a big deal in the grand scheme of things definitely would go back and loved having the treat of a fancy hotel Thank you!

Very comfortable beds, good size rooms very well presented. Very professional personable staff. Central location, great for exploring Bristol, shops and restaurants. Excellent breakfast, hotel bar and restaurant. Secure car park under hotel.

Stayed a few times here and it is always great. Obviously it is pricey, but it is a luxury hotel so that is expected. Our suite was well presented, very clean and comfy. Would recommend and stay again.

Stayed here on 11th January. Lovely stay, paid for car parking on departure at reception desk and have now received a parking fine. Can’t even speak to the hotel directly as you have to go through their call centre. Someone has taken a message to forward onto them but doesn’t give us much reassurance when a fine is pending. Otherwise the stay was great and location ideal.

My stay at the Marriott Bristol Royal Hotel was truly more than I expected. The location is fantastic, offering convenient access to the city, and the facilities are top-notch. A special mention goes to Sylvia at the reception desk. She made my welcome an exceptionally memorable experience. Despite a system issue, she went above and beyond to assist me and resolve the matter efficiently. Her professionalism and warm demeanor truly stood out and set the tone for a wonderful stay. Highly recommended if you come to Bristol.

£17 breakfast and if you ask for an expresso is extra…WiFi slow and if you want a normal internet connection you have to pay while that’s standard in other hotels…I’m definitely not convinced

Unfortunately me and my family had some serious problems and couldn’t visit the hotel. We requested cancellation 10 days before our arrival and they said that not refund was available. I would love to visit but I couldn’t and I think was early enough to notify. Sometimes is not only money that matters and they could refund us. Was only for 1 night. Thanks for the services some friends will visit you instead but still I will not recommend you to anyone again.

Excellent hotel, fantastic sized event space for our office Christmas party, helpful staff, and ideal location with handy parking. The umbrella rentals were really useful!

Beautiful hotel, friendly service and great location

I'd booked a deluxe king room and was put into a family room, though it was a great size with a very spacious bathroom with both a shower and a bath. The team were ever so welcoming and friendly when we checked in and kindly helped us organise a taxi to our event later that evening. Breakfast was delicious!

Nice hotel, perfectly placed to explore Bristol. The gym is small but well equipped. The staff are really excellent, very helpful, friendly and professional ....

Good central location, decent size room for the price and very good service. We were able to leave our bag for a few hours after we checked out which was very helpful. Decent buffet breakfast but there was an option to get a made to order omelette. Would definitely use again.

Grateful the hotel reserves a ground floor room for us. My wife and I use this hotel regularly as our daughter, husband and grandchildren live in Bristol. We always enjoy our stay.

Comfy deluxe rooms, the window can’t be opened and the door wasn’t really soundproof (you could hear people or footsteps). Other than that, staff was very helpful, room was clean, and the building itself is very impressive!

I've stayed here many times, and every time, it's just brilliant. Rooms are excellent, and the staff are so accommodating.

Room was in really good condition, parking helped a lot, great location, friendly staff. My only gripe was that the coffee at breakfast was rubbish.

Centrally located, very nice enteance and rooms over all great experience

This is a beautiful historic hotel right in the center of Bristol. The rooms and decor were superb and quiet. We had to complain about the air con which got fixed but the fridge was never sorted. The bar staff needed more training- they had no tomato juice for a bloody Mary and had no idea what a Manhattan was, so had to guide them through it. They then had no cherries ! I guess we expected better from a city centre hotel in 2024. The Miller and Carter restaurant was decorated well and the staff were welcoming and efficient. The steaks were the best I have eaten in the UK. They seem to have a security issue as the table of 4 next to us simply walked out without paying. There were no security cameras and no one except the waitress seemed concerned.

I checked into the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel and was so pleased to find myself in such an elegant lobby with a beautiful restaurant and bar. I had never been to Bristol before and when the receptionist Sylvia heard that she jumped right in and pulled out maps and other materials and helped me plan my stay to ensure I saw all the sights. The people working in the hotel restaurant made sure that my dietary needs were met. I was on a special diet and they adjusted the food to meet my needs. I really appreciated that. Another example of the help that I received at the hotel occurred mid stay. I suddenly had to print a document, sign it and send it back via e-mail. It was urgent. Here is where Jada stepped in and quickly took care of my problem and my timeline was met. As a titanium member of Marriott I was upgraded to a suite and it was a large wonderful room. I really enjoyed my stay!

Great location for Harbourside side. The staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Only concern is that the bedroom floors are multilevel with a number of stairs between each level, ensure you use the right lift if you find stairs difficult.

There We’re a few old stains on the carpet, but that didn’t ruin our stay, it was perfect. Everything was beautiful. The staff were kind, and the room was big and spacious, definitely worth the money, I never normally sleep well in hotels, but this night I slept like a baby. The breakfast had a wide range of dishes, it was lovely trying Salmon for breakfast! The lounge rooms were lovely too! Definitely staying here again.

In the middle of the city, everything is easily accessible on foot. Old style atmosphere and very friendly and helpful reception staff.

The property is dated and in great need of refurbishment. The rooms are impractical for modern use. The staff however are great. The location is near-perfect.

Went to make a cup of tea in the room after a long drive , all he milks were off I tried to phone room service and reception no answer for 15-20 mins it was only 22:30 so not really late , got through they sent a big of milk up after 30 mins wait time not impressed with this hotel at all. Although breakfast was lovely

We had our wedding last May at the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel and it was absolutely faultless. We booked in 2019 and then had to postpone due to Covid. The team were extremely understanding and helpful which was very much appreciated during a stressful time. Our main point of contact was Mya, who was always very helpful and professional. She was also very prompt in answering my (many) questions and I always felt that our big day was safe in her hands. Prior to our big day, the team put on the most incredible tasting session. They put in so much thought and effort and it got us really excited for the day itself. I was so impressed by the team at the venue. Everyone was very friendly, accommodating and professional and I felt like they all really wanted us to have a great day. The day itself was fantastic. We had so many of our guests tell us how impressed they were by the quality of the food, the level of service and how stunning the venue was. Every single room photographed beautifully, we felt the venue really has that Wow factor! Few days ago i visited Marriott Royal Hotel.I was really happy about Their food and breakfast services. Even their every stuffs are very friendly and their give me a good services.I'm really really happy and i will come again.

The service is great, from the receptionists to the restaurant staff. The room is a mess, the one I had 1206 had no power outlets around the bed, no fridge, no clock, the matress was a flat rock - and you could feel the springs. No water the last day, and the running machines 2/3 are broken. My expectations were high, but there are much better options for the price in the area. Reported all the things, they apologized- nothing changed except I got a new matress topper. Stay away of room 1206… or better look for a different hotel in Bristol.
