The food is always fantastic and service is always great and there’s a nice atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble and prices are reasonable.

Arrived for lunch at 1.15 and our order was taken, we received our drinks and starters and waited on the mains and waited. At 2.30 we asked the server about our food and it arrived at 2.45 and I can’t say it was worth the wait ,The steak and ale pie looked like it had been prepared earlier and then stuck a top on it ,my fork wouldn’t even go into the sprouts they were that hard,My husband ordered the beef and it was like someone had pulled it apart and stuck it back into a mould to give it shape,he didn’t even eat it.We didn’t say anything as we thought it was a kitchen problem not the servers problem.I did send them an email but never received a reply. If it was busy I would understand but there was no more than forty people in the restaurant and we were told their were two chefs on.The menu on the web page not what they are serving.

We had a meal in this hotel one night as it was too wet outside to explore what other restaurants were located in Largs. The serving staff were lovely and friendly but the food was not up to the standard we would have expected in a hotel like this.

Booked dinner for 9 members of family for an 80th Birthday meal, nice surroundings and decor but that’s where the good stops!! Sat down ordered dinner and drinks at the same time, 45 minutes later drinks arrived!!! Main courses hadn’t arrived, asked where our meals where after an hour and a half, then as if by magic out they came, the chicken was dry and hard at the base, mash potatoes where like rubber, burger was dry vegetables cold as if all the meals had been sitting on hot plates for a good while before coming out!! This has honestly been the worst meal and dining out experience I have had !! Not what I expected from this establishment. Having to ask for meals and to have tables cleared is not on !!! Manager needs to be checking on his staff more often to make sure things are running properly. Would not be back.

Starters good, pork sliders and the beetroot hummus. steak main really good, although over cooked, asked for med. rare....it was medium...unfortunately the confit duck was dissapointing. Dauphinois needed bit more cooking an bit less garlic, sweet jus and sweet red cabbage...just too much sweetness. Plus didn't look very appetising , very sloppy on plate, and the duck was over cooked. Ordered onion rings as a side....thick and very greasy batter, (didnt eat.)...Service not great either, absolutely no input from serving staff, no interest if food was good, or if we enjoyed our meal, or was everything ok? Ordered bottle of prossecco which was opened before arriving at table, waiting staff then had to go get glasses, which arrived wet, we were left to pour from ice bucket with dripping wet bottle and no napkin., .... asked for desert menu,....still no conversation from waiting staff....everything just served, no conversation, and no interest or interaction....at just short of 90 quid for 2 starters, 2 meals and a bottle of prossecco they need to up the anti on their hospitality.....bit of in house training wouldn't go amis.

Excellent meal. Nachos and potato skins were amazing, huge portions and packed with flavour. Fajitas and steak pie for mains but ever meal that came out to other tables also looked incredible. Last time we got the burgers and weren’t impressed at all (the burger buns were solid with too many herbs) but so glad we gave it another shot as this time it was 10/10

We really thought this hotel and restaurant would be much better. No mussels which meant couldn’t have salmon as it came with mussel broth. Roast beef meal wasn’t up to restaurant standards. Yorkshire pudding must have hit a cold spot in the microwave as it was cold and stodgyThe whole meal was drowned in bistro gravy. Find it difficult to believe they actually have a chef. Should have taken notice of the appearance of the grounds outside before we went in as that’s always an indication of the standards hotel and restaurant thinks is acceptable. Cigarettes ends all over the place, garbage and remnants of previous meals left on outside tables. Not something one expects for a hotel and restaurant that has a prime spot in Largs with wonderful views. All wasted on this establishment. The waitress was very pleasant and that’s about we can say that is positive. We are sorry we chose this place for a Sunday meal given all the other worthy places in Largs. The lentil soup was good but a lot of money just to have a plate of soup.

Gents hand dryer not working and no soap in holders and no paper towels… This hotel needs to lift its game as it is very nice and comfortable inside and in a great location, but needs to deliver better in these other areas. This is a busy hotel in a seaside town and has obviously had problems with illegal parking in the past. They have now turned their car park into a cash cow and unwary patrons like myself get fined for using the car park whilst dining in their establishment! I dined there on the 5th of August and received a penalty notice of £100 for illegal parking, or the usual £60 if paid within a certain time, this was issued on the 3rd of November. I went to the Hotel today to enquire what was going on and there is now signage about parking in every bay in the Hotel, which was not there previously. I spoke to receptionist, who asked if I had registered my car details on an iPad that sits on the reception desk? I had not done that and don’t even recall seeing it when I entered the premises. Staff were more concerned that we were scanned and registered and directed us to the dining area. No one enquired if we had a car or if we were using the car park and I certainly don’t recall any signage that advised you had to check your car in on an iPad. This was our first time at this Hotel and will certainly be the last. If this had not being a service vehicle the fine would not have got paid and I would have went to court if required on this scandal. This set up is an absolute rip off and I would be advising giving this place a wide berth.

I have emailed the couple several times since my visit in September, but I have had no reply so I have decided to put on this review. On Wednesday 8th September 2021 around 3.15pm we decided to go and dine at The Brisbane Hotel. Well I must say how disappointed I was when we was when sat at our table the crumbs on the table, and the amount of food derby on the seat and on floor and window ledge at our table, not just at our table at the table and floor around us. I got the attention of the long blonde haired waitress who came and wiped the table but nowhere else. Few minutes later she came to ask if we was ready to order, I said not yet and she snapped back you wanting drinks. I was shocked at this approach and attitude we then decided to leave. As we left the look the girl gave us. I did make a re-mark about the change in attitude we received due to pointing out the area wasn't too a high standard of cleaning. So I then asked the receptionist, if I could kindly speak to the Food and Beverage manager, the lovely receptionist said this is her by the telephone on a call but shouldn't be long. The lady was on hold, she didn't even acknowledge us so we waited but gave up and asked for a business card with the ladies details, in which turned out to be just the hotels details. I decided to call back at 4.30pm to speak with F&B manager, and the lady kindly took my call but was very blunt and said the area we sat at was immaculately clean and I must have my information wrong. I am annoyed I did not take photos to prove my findings, but more annoying that the F&B manager was rather blunt and the company doesn't get back to emails either. Personally I don't think I will be in a hurry to go back to the restaurant.

Don’t usually post bad reviews and I did speak to the manager however our experience was so bad I feel like I must leave a review for the public & not for a reply from the restaurant. We booked as a party of 10, first half of us arrived on time and had a drink at the table while waiting for the others who arrived 20 minutes later. Before the rest of the party arrived around 8:15 we where told the kitchen was closing and we must hurry to order. Despite this rush nobody actually came over to take our order or gave us a menu we had to ask for menus and every-time we wanted to order a drink or food we had to wave down staff to take it or get up from the table and goto the bar. There was a couple of simple amendments that the restaurant where NOT willing to accommodate, a burger without cheese & Cajun fries instead of normal fries with meal (which are on the menu) and when questioned on why not we where given no explanation other than it’s not allowed? Completely ridiculous, I’ve never been to a restaurant that where unwilling to make such simple amendments for a customer. Wrong starters brought out and one of the main meals where wrong. Every person at the table was not satisfied with their meal however they where eaten as hungry. The food was below average. 4 meals where not eaten and sent back as they where not great standard at all (3 pastas & 1 burger). After sending the meals back, The manager who came over to the table approached the table in a unkind manner and said sharply ‘so what’s wrong with the meals you sent back’ to which ultimately she was greeted with the same manner back which made the exchange heated. When we explained why we didn’t like them, She insisted and argued that the other 2 pastas that where cooked the same so how could we not have enjoyed them (3 Cajun pastas, a pesto pasta and chicken and chorizo pasta) I don’t know exactly what she was wanting to achieve by saying this as we had already told her why we where dissatisfied. Due to this there was a few words exchanged from both us and manager at the table before the manager walked away. The manager could have dealt with the situation a lot better. However I approached the manager privately away from the table and had a discussion about this which was really quite confrontational and defensive from the managers side considering I approached her in a nice manner and said I was reasonable and just wanted to express my disappointment. I felt like it was impossible to get my point across as everything I said was met with an excuse or argument, as if she was telling me my opinion was wrong and that she was in disbelief that we could be unsatisfied with the taste. Reading other reviews today I can see that we are not the only people this member of staff has treated like this and obviously her awful attitude is radiating. This is appalling customer service. An all round terrible experience from food to service unfortunately, put a total dampener on what should have been a great night.

Having visited this restaurant after the first lockdown and enjoyed the experience we decided to return after it recently reopened.Regret to say it was far from the enjoyable experience of our first visit. We arrived early but were told it was not a problem and that our table was ready and available. We were shown to our table given the menus and told someone would be over shortly to take our drinks order.First surprise was that the menus, unlike their other establishments, were no longer disposable and laminated ones were being provided. We sat at our table for over 20 minutes before anyone appeared to take our order and in fact it seemed the young waitress was there to take our food order and we had to ask her to take a drinks order. We had a question about the menu pointing out a 241 offer which she claimed she had never seen or heard of and would need to see her supervisor. She returned 5 minutes later with the explanation, at which point we placed our order for both food and drink. We waited for around another 15 minutes or so for our food to arrive so all in all we had been at our table for around 40 minutes before any food arrived. We did not have a problem with the waiting between ordering and it being delivered to our table, at least we knew it was fresh but the overall wait was a bit much.Food was okay but not anything spectacular. When we asked for the bill I offered my loyalty card to be told I had to pay for my meal and then go to the hotel reception with my receipt in order for the points to be added. This seemed strange as they were operating a one way system meaning you had to exit the restaurant, go outside then return through the main entrance to reach the reception. Bit strange. All in all we were disappointed with the experience and feel the whole experience including the food is far better at the company’s other establishments.

My mum and I had afternoon tea here today and I must say, it was just perfect. We were greeted warmly by a lovely young girl who showed us to our table. A booth at the window as requested. Another young lady then came over to ask if we had any allergies etc. My mum hates mayonnaise so the girl gave her other options for the sandwiches. I was impressed by this we go for many afternoon teas and the options can be somewhat limited. The cakes etc were brought over to the table, very well presented and everything looked so fresh.Everything we had was really tasty, we couldn't actually finish it all, so we were given a box to take what was left away. We found the whole thing to be great value for money and the actual restaurant has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. All the staff were so lovely but the young lady who looked after us mostly was Natalie. What a joy she was. She had that balance right of being attentive but not over bearing. She made sure we were happy with what we had. She just had that quality you can't teach, that warmth, she's just a natural. She is an absolute credit to the place and because of her and the other girls, we would definitely return as I think the staff are the heart of a place and are worth their weight in gold.

We had booked two tables on Saturday 22nd May at 6.45pm at The Brisbane House Hotel, we arrived on time. We were taken into the overflow room, not the restaurant, and shown to our tables. The waitress then arrived with the menus and we duly ordered. My Husband ordered a pint of coke which finally arrived after 50 minutes, the food took over 45 minutes to arrive. Four times my husband requested his coke and finally went to the bar himself and was told by the Barman he did not have the order but would get to it when he could as he was the only Barman on! The two staff were woefully trying to serve around 10 tables and it appeared the restaurant was understaffed. There was also a function on at the Hotel. After 45 minutes wait, the food finally arrived. Two of our guests had ordered steak pie which was not Mearns McCaskie butchers quality. We were extremely disappointed with all the food served. When the final bill arrived, we found we had been overcharged for drinks that we had not even ordered! My Husband and one of our guests went to query this. As we had family friends visiting from London, we were extremely disappointed with the service and quality of the food served. I asked at reception if the Manager was available and was told she was off and would telephone me either Monday or Tuesday. On Wednesday morning, three days after I requested to speak to the Manager, I received an e-mail from Ms McLeod, General manager, asking me to write my complaint and send it to the Hotel. This is not good customer service. In my opinion, The Brisbane Hotel has little or no respect for customer complaints and only see the opening up in Scotland as a cash cow opportunity. I, nor any of our party, will return to the restaurant until they can prove they have got their act together.

Visited with my husband for our anniversary dinner, platter for 2 was ok. Husband ordered the tomahawk steak, I ordered breaded monkfish, with Asian slaw and curry sauce. I could not believe what was served to us. The monkfish was inedible, burnt to say the least. My husbands steak was served as he had requested however having to wait over 15 minutes for a steak knife was not acceptable, normal knife it had to be. As soon as I saw my food I asked one of the waiting staff to come over, she sisnt need to say anything, her look was enough and my food was sent back. I was offered something else but I was sickened by what I had been served. I sat and watched my husband eat his steak. The waiting staff could not have been more apologetic, and I appreciate their efforts and the discount to rectify the problem it ruined what was meant to be a lovely celebration meal. As for the chef......why would you send out food of that standard? Absurd!!! Another table were also complaining that their food was overcooked and salty. So praise to the waiting staff for dealing with the fallout of substandard food. Sort out the food and it could be a fab restaurant.

Decided on Sunday lunch at the Brisbane Hotel, Oscars Restaurant for a change. Went with friends who we hadnt seen for years. All decided on the Sunday Lunch carvery with a choice of starter from the menu. Carvery was either turkey or beef (beef was excellent) with roast potatoes, mixed veg (cauliflower, brocolli, carrot and courgette) and gravy £12.95 was great value. Staff were attentive without being over bearing, polite and well presented. We booked for 1200 as best to go early for carveries in my opinion while its all fresh, it was quiet when we went but got quite busy. We had a table with a view over the raining windy Clyde but nice and light/airy, not rushed by staff to finish, we were there for about 3 hours chatting may be different if it was really busy though. Restaurant is nicely decorated too, toilets clean, bit cold. Driving so had soft drink which £1.50 for half pint of soda and lime is a bit on the steep side. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, good value and will definately going again.

My husband and I stopped in at the Brisbane for lunch today. We got married here 7 years ago and as we didn't have the kids with us, thought we would take a walk down memory lane, have a nice chilled out lunch and relax.Walking up to the hotel it was very off putting that 1 of the front glass doors has clearly been broke and there is a a horrible plank of wood where the door should be.When we arrived we were shown to a table, the young girl who seated us then left us without a word or a menu! We sat about 5 mins and a different girl brought us menues and we are offered drinks, I requested a diet coke, I was told I could have a bottle or draught, I chose draught. When they arrived I was presented with diet Pepsi, seems like a small this but I really dont like Pepsi! As we were browsing the menu girl no.1 brings in an elderly man who has his (obviously) even more elderly and fail mother in a wheelchair. She offers them a table against the back all (the only table set up differently to every other empty table in the place) the man proceeds to manoeuvre his mother from the chair into the back wall and before he gets his coat off, a woman I can only assume was a manager(she was dressed differently) appears and quite curtly snaps the elderly man "have you booked this table??!" He is taken aback and explains the young girl seated them there and heboffers to move to another table, she snaps again, while clearing the table of everything, "this is set up for an anfernoon tea, did you book this table?" The man explained again he hadn't and was only just seated there by the young girl and again, offers to move. The "manager" stops off with not another word. There was 3 or 4 tables around us with reservation plaques on them, this table did not! Old man decided he was not staying and explained on the way out he did not appreciate the ladys tone so would not be staying. The manager then shouts after them in such a horrible tone "I only asked if you had booked, you were the one who started shouting" I can confirm no shouting by anyone, just a lot of confusion! It was very uncomfortable and unprofessional indeed.I wish we had left in solidarity at this point but we didn't.My husband ordered the fish, was asked if he would like breaded or battered, chose battered, got breaded. It also arrived with no tartar sauce and we had to ask 2 different members of staff if he could have it! I also asked for mayonnaise and I'm still waiting and not once where we asked if we would like another drink or if our meals were ok.Sadly I dont thinking be back. Really disappointed as we had a wonderful wedding day here.

Waited half an hour for starters. Soup and bruschetta. Wasn't given the correct bread. Instead of ciabatta and crusty bloomer as the menu stated we were given thin slices of white bread. When we asked about the bread we were then given the ciabatta but not bloomer. Chef clearly not with it. I don't know why anyone would put bruschetta on plain white bread... Mains arrived 30 mins after starters. The man at the table next to us waited even longer for his soup and he was there before us. He also asked three times how long it would be. Soup is generally kept in an urn, it shouldn't take that long! The table next to him was given the wrong bill twice and didn't enjoy meal. The man said the roast beef could sole shoes. Another woman at the next table never got her chips. The woman at the table next to that got over cooked chicken and was given a fresh meal but her friend was almost finished by the time it came. Another man was given still water instead of sparkling. And another had to send his soup back as it was only slightly warm. No tables gettin cleared promptly. Food took aaaages to arrive. Waiting staff were really friendly and nice and you could clearly see they meant well. I know from experience it's hard to do your job when you are working with an incompetent chef. I don't know what goes on in the kitchen but clearly not much. The staff definitely need training in how to deal with customer complaints as no clear answers were given when anyone spoke up. There was only apologies no explanation. It was terrible. The words "sorry about that" or "I do apologise" were used so many times. The whole restaurant was exchanging glances with each other because they were all going through the same experience. I couldn't believe a place could be this unorganised.

Been twice before when we are up on holiday and has been very good. Always love the Jambalaya sizzle. Small things really today but my starter of fish cakes only came with salad & no sauce as it states. I had to ask for sauce as they are quite dry without. Also my daughter had the chicken breast burger which is supposed to come with Asian slaw and it was just bog standard coleslaw. The nachos for starters don’t come with sour cream or guacamole which you’d expect. The desserts of sundaes did not come with whipped cream as stated, appeared to be a dollop of clotted cream on top of the ice cream.

Oscars looked okay but we were led to a diner-style table by the window along with other customers, must be to make it look busy from outside! The waiter had welcomed us in and was very friendly and helpful but that all changed when our main meal dishes were removed, he never asked if we had enjoyed our meal nor would we like to see the dessert menu. In fact no one came near us! The waiter continued to serve other tables as did the waitress until we had waited ten minutes by which time I really was quite annoyed. We couldn’t believe how such a great experience could turn so bad. Eventually I had to get up and find the waiter but found a waitress and asked her if we could order dessert and coffee. Deciding only on latte we were left quite gobsmacked! The food was okay , cordon bleu it wasn’t lol. We both felt it was more of a cafe than a restaurant and the waiter or whoever is was completely spoiled it for me and I don’t understand such unprofessionalism after being so welcoming and efficient. Shame on you!

Very disappointed with the attitude of restaurant supervisor today, no customer service skills whatsoever. A party of 5 of us went today for the above offer to be told you had to prebook it. When I showed the waitress the advert on Facebook she was unaware of any offer but went to check and came back stating supervisor had said had to be prebooked, when I showed the advert to her she again said she would check with supervisor - he came over abruptly to say he wasn’t interested in advert I saw as other one stated you had to prebook - it doesn’t state you need to prebook it only says phone reception for reservations, given that I showed him the advert that I had seen and place wasn’t that busy, you would this for good customer relations he would honour it, when I asked if he would I just got an abrupt NO. Not a good way to treat locals in January! Needless to say we left mainly because of his attitude!

I feel quite guilty writing this as my friend took me here for a birthday afternoon treat but she insisted I write a review. Firstly the hotel is lovely as is the restaurant and the staff were very polite and accommodating the issue was with the afternoon tea itself. We were asked if there were any sandwiches we didn’t like and we said fish/seafood I also asked for white bread and my friend asked for brown bread. When the tea stand came out we found that I had been given three very large (doorstep) ham and cheese sandwiches and my friend three very large chipotle chicken sandwiches. No variety, when we asked for a little more variety the girl said she would speak to the ‘chef’ the tray came back out and we had 9 chicken mayo sandwiches 3 of which were obviously the ham and cheese with the ham removed but the cheese left with chicken mayo added. We have been for many afternoon teas and the idea is a variety of dainty sandwiches and cakes. We had no choice and the cakes were obviously shop bought. We had a very large cream doughnut, a very large empire biscuit, a french cake and a pineapple cake two of which we left as they were far too large. The scones were nice but it was whipped cream not clotted and it was plastic packets of jam. The Brisbane is a quality hotel and this is not a cheap afternoon tea so I would have expected a lot more. I will once again reiterate that the waitress was lovely but I think even she was bemused.

We had Christmas lunch at the Brisbane last year and it was excellent. What a disappointment this year. Several starter portions were so small they were like a Faulty Towers joke. We had to ask for some to be replaced. The turkey main course was the worst I have ever had and I include works' canteens in that! The white meat of the turkey had a strange flavour (may have been the gravy) and the dark meat was tough and distinctly pink. There was also a lump of what appeared to be unrendered fat on my plate. I have no idea where that could have come from. The boiled potatoes were undercooked (bone in the middle) and I don't think the sprouts were cooked at all. I wish I had had the beef Wellington which was seemingly very good. My complaints were met with a shrug and I couldn't be bothered pursuing it. In retrospect, given what we paid, I regret not doing so. Anyway, our party of 12, by a large majority, agreed we won't be back for our 2018 Christmas dinner.

Visited for a quiet meal and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. The starters were partly burnt, main course of steak was drowned and swimming in butter more a kin to soup than steak. Had ordered wine which didn’t arrive in time for the meal despite asking twice, eventually upon arrival the eagerly anticipated wine was the wrong type.after putting the main course back and cancelling the late and wrong wine that didnt stop them appearing again on the bill! After asking politely for them to be removed the then correct bill was aloofly thrown at our table, not so much as an apology for ruining our nite. Altogether very disappointing only saved by a local bar not far away and the company of my lovely fiancé.

Went along for a special family reunion meal, looking forward to seeing the new interior and boasting to our visitors of the fabulous views etc.Very impressed by the recent refurbishment of the bar area. Great attention to detail. However our visit was spoiled a little by the lack of trained waiting staff.Despite the waitresses being very pleasant and welcoming it was obvious that they were under pressure and that there was no-one 'in charge' as such, and therefore no continuity of service. Our drinks were duly delivered and, unfortunately, accidents happen, a glass of red wine was spilt from the tray above over the top of two of our guests. The waitress did apologise and they were given paper napkins and then white linen napkins to mop up the wine. However at no point did a member of staff attempt to help with the clear up, or in fact check that their clothes hadn't been stained. It would have been good to have been offered a change of table!Or at the very least a change of chair which by now, was damp. We didn't want to cause a big fuss so didn't instigate this ourselves. One of the guests did go to the Ladies toilet to remove and dry her top. In their favour, whilst there a waitress did offer her a glass of white wine to help neutralise any stains. On our guest's return and after a lengthy waiting time, we had to ask for our order to be taken. We did order a further round of drinks which never arrived and had to be reordered.Plus point, the food was beautiful and well presented, and we were able to enjoy our family catch up without further ado.Sorry Brisbane, love your interior design, but you have to work harder on providing training and leadership for your waiting staff. Surely if you have to employ unexperienced staff, you should have at least one supervisor in charge. Will we return ? Probably not.

Living in the town, we have been coming to the Brisbane for many years now and although we always liked it and the food was ok, we always left saying that it needed a bit of a facelift. This has now happened and they have done a superb job, in fact I would say that this is now easily the nicest place in Largs for a drink or a meal. They now have a separate bar / dining area and the furnishings are all to a very high standard, just what Largs needed in fact.We popped in for a drink last night, but decided to have a meal and the food was very tasty and well presented, with a good choice available from the menu at reasonable prices. All of the young staff were lovely and very attentive as well. The manageress came over when we were leaving to ask for our feedback and she told us that they will be a starting a 2 course deal soon and that the patio area is also to get a similar revamp in the next few weeks. This will only further enhance the beautiful ambience of the Brisbane. We will definitely be back soon to what I believe could quickly become the No 1 place to go in Largs if they keep up the high standards on food and service which we enjoyed last night.

We had breakfast with our booking and the various options from cereal, pancakes, full breakfast, salmon and many more cooked fresh to order. 3 choices of fresh juice and different types of milk. Waitress offers you a pot of tea/coffee or you can help yourself. The accommodation has stairs and no lift option however they are not too steep and hallways are lovely and stylish. (The No Irn Bru in your room signs however do look tacky) maybe advice in nice photo frames would look better. Staff are all pleasant and very friendly. The dinning area had an excellent overhaul from the last times we visited which enhanced the whole look of the restaurant. That was the positives the negatives were the food & portion size especially the main course. We both choose the fish & chips a great British favourite. Fish was an ample size accompanied by (9) stacked chips & chillie pea accompaniment which could better be described as a tee-spoon puree. On the whole a very poor dish at at an expensive price. So went to pick up new Glasses today and as I was straight after work early shift was hungry . A Piri Piri place in mall Called Black Rooster ( yea crazy a chicken place ). It had advertised “ Vegetarian “ menu. Corn burger Paneer wrap Halloumi burger All of these. £4.50. With a variety of “ sauce” flavours . I had decided on the “ corn burger 🍔” Oh sorry we’ve “ phased “ those out . Puzzled look on my face … Ok I no would like the Halloumi Burger. Ahhh ok. With what sauce and do you want lettuce and Mayo Yes please Said I. I really want you to enjoy this I will have the Spicey BBQ please and make that a meal thanks that will be £7.50 Now at this point I sat more in Hope than confidence that this wasn’t a hooge mistake . Sadly it turned out my initial feelings were founded. This mess is what turned up . When is a burger not a burger !! I spoke to a staff member explaining my confusion. Oh we’ve “ phased out the Halloumi burgers” and we now only use the halloumi sticks !!! What would you like to do ? The manager should have explained this when she took your order. I’m sorry if she didn’t . Please just refund me. Thank you. So the moral in the Tale . If it’s a Chicken shop . No matter how “ cool and on trend they want to be seen as having vegetarian options. They will most likely still be a piri piri chicken shop that wants to be Nando’s but still fail with even the basics. 🤮

Excellent fish and chips with the lightest crunchiest batter and juicy succulent fish. As a female solo visitor (walking Ayrshire Coastal Path) I enjoyed the relaxing room upstairs and the staff were ultra friendly.
