Edit after a conversation with the owner: Great shop and huge variety of cheeses. I had a small concern about something but the owner responded to me quickly and handled things professionally.

Really good quality sausages, glad I found the shop. I normally get migraines from store bought sausage with sodium nitrate but these tasted very fresh and I imagine no preservatives as I didn’t get a headache. Will be coming back when I next get the chance.

I bought 2 regular sausage rolls from here as I was about to leave Brighton. They were well wrapped and bagged and I actually opened them when I arrived home in Doncaster later that day sharing them around the table in the bar of the pub. Went down a treat, pasty was fresh (even though I’d been on a train for 4 hours) and the sausage meat was excellent! Expensive but really good quality and the 4 lads around the table sharing these were extremely complimentary!

Lovely place!! Great choice of sausage and cheese! Great service too. They also have many other great products , from Biltong, to dried mushroom, and loads of condiments!

From a fellow butcher and sausage maker - you make an exceptional chipolata. The black pudding was really good too. Look forward to trying other things. Highly recommended.

Best sausage rolls! They sell out fast so you’ve gotta get in there quickly. Excellent quality cheeses and cured meats etc. friendly and professional service with good knowledge, as you’d expect from a small business. A gem of a shop - worth stopping and buying as much as you can!

Second visit to this shop. Came for the cheese, the staff are friendly and passionate about the products. I think his name was Arron, we asked for a cheese with truffle and a blue cheese and his recommendations were fantastic. A little pricey so we visit for a nice treat but fantastic cheese.

Shop for artisanal food products, especially sausages flavored with vegetables, cheese or spices produced in places near Brighton. Wide choice of cheeses too. Very friendly and smiling staff. Tonight I tried to cook them, I probably won't have made them exactly like the original English recipe, perhaps a little more Italian... but they turned out delicious! I recommend stopping by this shop.

I'm impressed with their selection of sausages. We bought a few selections to try. Their prices are very reasonable. They also sell cheeses and assortment sauces as well.

What a hidden jem will return for sure. I had the best sausage roll I've had in a long time ....my daughter was very happy. The staff at the shop were helpful, and polite. The shop is very traditional, I will take a big bag for all the goodies next time I visit!

Fellas for the love of god please add salt to your pork pies - both meat and the pastry

Definitily one of the best food stores in Brighton. Super varity of sausages, cheeses and good bread (much better than the typical UK quality).

One of my favourite shops in Brighton! Full of delicious sausages, the best ever sausage rolls (made with said sausages) and an incredible selection of cheeses, chutneys, crisps and other deli items. I feel like a kid in a candy shop going here, except I’m leaving with stinky blue cheese and half a kilo of sausages instead of sweets and chocolate!! this has a great choice of cheeses too, all local ones covered and a variety of sauces. the marmite sauce they make is the finest I have ever had , and visit them regularly for more. highly recommended.

Really really great for all the cheeses and meats and preserves etc, and the Billtong is the best in the World. The staff are professional and welcoming. The location is fun and vibrant. There is no other shop like this in Town. Peter is one of the most brilliant chaps you can meet. Cheers..

Nothing is homemade. Today 01/04/21 afternoon around 15:30 we visited the shop and tried to place a order for the next day. We wanted 5 kg of Italian sausages without fennel. The guy inside the shop said “no order after 12:00 for next day” and I replied “ no problem. We was so disappointed when he said:”the fennel seeds cannot be removed from the sausages mince “ and I asked why? I didn’t received a good answer. I deducted that the sausages are already made somewhere else and they cannot do nothing different.

I travelled from Seaford to replenish my freezer stock of sausages today. I checked the website which said open (from 10am to 5pm) and also said sausaging as usual. I phoned several times yesterday to double-check it was open but phone was continually engaged so thought that was a good indication of activity in the shop. I am sorry that there has been a vandalisation problem but a message on the website or a recorded phone message would have saved a 30 mile wasted round trip!

Heard all about the Sausage shop so traveled from worthing on a hot day it can be difficult for a pensioner this weather,however called at the shop and had to push my way through giggling men to the sausage area only to be ignored and see someone who came in after me get served, sorry people play the game, OK althouight I walked out plenty more customers for them who cares but to be fare I did go back a few days later only this time we relived the Monty Python "Cheese shop sketch" I've no doubt that they sell a good product but there are more than one Good sausage Maker in Brighton The shop design and service just does'nt do it for me. So once again the search is on

Reasonably priced, fresh and tasty oh and friendly staff! Tried the vegetarian/maybe vegan roasted red pepper roll and the normal sausage roll and the quality was excellent. Very well seasoned and still warm! Will definitely be back to try more of their treats soon

We tried a pepper and maple syrup sausage roll and it was delicious. We then decided to get a few raw sausages to bbq in the evening and I must say they were absolutely divine. Pity I live far away but might consider delivery if all possible.

I always aim to pop in when passing to see what exciting flavours of warm sausage rolls are on offer. If you leave it too late in the day don't expect to see any left! They also have a great selection of chease, meats and accompaniments.

Honestly the best sausage roll I've had in my life. We're local to Brighton and will now come here for most cooking needs! A big selection of cheeses, crackers, olives and cured meats too - more than the title.

If you're looking for Gluten Free sausages look no further.

Really enjoyed chatting with the owner and his sidekick, Michael I believe, about the local produce and how it gets from farm to fridge, or shelf be it the tasty chutney they had on offer. Also got to sample some cheese and spiced meat which was a treat and left with a bundle including the tastiest sausie roll ive had in a long time. Yum! Also vegan option. Worth the price for quality produce!

One of the guys in this shop swore offensively at me because I turned up approx. half an hour early to try to collect an order. He asked me to come back in an hour or so - so HIS half an hour LATER than the original time mentioned was apparently OK and assumed to be acceptable to me. Not surprised to see that I'm not the only one who's had an issue with the staff's arrogance.

We stayed across the road from here. I popped over as I love sausages. The Brits do sausages so well so I was really interested to see what Brighton had to offer. Great selection of international sausages and I ended up buying a fresh sausage roll for mylunch. It was so delicious. The staff are also very friendly. Well worth a visit

Loved nibbling on pork bark with a touch of chilli. Great concept in Brighton. Will return to try more sausage when I’m running low or in the need for a top up!

Cracking quality sausages both cooked, rolled or raw A creature of habbit I'll often pick up a chilli and mango sausage roll and stroll through the laines and gobble on the go. Today however I spotted the pea and mint variety and struck whilst the hog was hot. 5/5 all day long, support your local butcher and head inside.

First off, this is a shop, not a restaurant. However, if you want a hot sausage roll that will ' Brighton' up your day - see what I did there? - this is the place for you. The selection of sausages is the best I've seen for a long time and along with a wonderful variety of yummy cheese and fresh baked bread. It's heaven in a shop. The staff are very knowledgable and more than willing to let you taste the various delights on offer. This is going to be a regular port of call for yours truly. I can hardly wait for my breakfast tomorrow!

Made with their own sausage meat and in a number of seasonings, these are the best you will eat. They also have an excellent range of cured meats and condiments personally sourced from the continent by the owner.

Now this is a real family favourite. It's something to really enjoy buying as well as the range of options is huge and it's fun getting home, cooking them up and sampling all the different purchases. I think the whole family has different favourites too which goes to show they don't just offer choice for choices sake. I love the chilli one, my dad the marmite one (not for me I have to say), my mum the pea one and well, my sister likes them all! It's also worth grabbing a sausage roll to eat on the go if you're in town.

This place makes fabulous handmade free-range sausages and sausage products, as well as having an amazing stock of cheeses and other deli items. Very friendly too!

Friendly staff (Felix, according to my receipt) helped pick a nice (and affordable) cheese selection for my Cheese-head Dutch Dad for Christmas despite my embarrassing lack of knowledge about Cheese. Very happy! Thanks.

Popped in as we passed by. Had a cheeky mini Salami while I was waiting to be served. We sampled some fab cheese too. Huge selection of cheese. We had the regular sausage roll. Fabulous flaky pastry which encased the most flavoursome of sausage meat. Perfectly seasoned. Also had the chilli and mango sausage roll. Again this was in the same luscious pastry. Both were freshly baked. Well worth a visit. Yes they sell sausages too lol. And freshly baked bread. Yum yum

We were lucky enough to find ourselves in a holiday flat bang opposite the sausage shop. Oh well we thought, just another twee effort to profit from the Brighton North Laines but we gave it a whirl. What a surprise - the sausages were really top class, without gristle and just the right amount of fat and discretely herbed. The cheeses were also excellent, 'though a tad expensive - while the prices for the sausages were good value for money. (And the service was friendly too)

I popped in here while I was working as I fancied a quick bite to eat,the shop was very quiet which I thought was a bit odd.

Wasted 10mins of my life waiting to be served. Totally ignored, and the lady was more interested chatting on the phone than communicating something half decent to another person such as "wait a moment" or something. Utter nonsense... should of realised from the lack of customers and well stocked items. It's not being sold because you have no customer service.

The Brighton Sausage Shop is a bit of a misnomer, as although it does sell excellent sausages it probably has more cheese. A very good selection of cheeses, both UK and overseas from carefully chosen producers. I don't know a better cheese shop in Brighton. Oh and they do sausages too...

I have bought a number of their products and have never been disappointed. The quality of the sausages is excellent with them tasting delicious and not at all fatty. The sausage rolls are heavenly and I often pop in to grab one when I'm passing

The wonderful thing about Brighton is the individuality and quality of the shops - if you offer something special you will survive and prosper rather than be swallowed up by the chain stores. This place is a wonderful example of this - great meat and cheese, and always something interesting in the Sausage roll department whether you want traditional or something extra. Well reccomended

Silva and I were in Brighton and found this little place as we walked through the north laines.

Didn't go for the sausages, but has an excellent selection of fine cheeses and deli goods. Knowledgeable staff too.
