Bridges is run by volunteers to serve the community. Their coffee is always good and the home-made cakes and quiches are yummy. Service can occasionally be slow, as it's non-professionals in the kitchen, but that is compensated for by the people one gets to chat to and the quality of the food served. I enjoy spending a morning here.

My local. They have decent drinks, sports on TV. Amazing large garden with huge TV. Regular events, live music, bbqs. Meat raffles, seafood man. This is a proper English pub. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

86 High StreetShhhhhh... Don't tell everyone, but every Friday evening this cute cafe turns into a wine bar with the best grown-up cocktails in town and a pretty decent wine menu too. We pre-ordered a cheese platter that was generous in size with a sumptuous range of cheesey choice. It was a perfectly joyful date night. Hosted by Simon and Emma, who are warm and welcoming.
