We was had just handed the boat back across the river and the four of us thought we would go over the bridge to get some breakfast We sat inside waiting to be served then after about 15 mins a member of staff came over to ask us what we would like we asked first for two teas and two coffee’s which we we’re then told they had no milk to make them so we decided to drive into Great Yarmouth and get some breakfast there as we wanted drinks with the breakfast

We chanced upon this cafe and found a little gem - great service and great produce. In particular the crab sandwich. I would challenge anybody to find a better crab sandwich anywhere! Plumply filled with beautiful crab meat and accompanied by salad garnish. A highlight of the holiday!

Lovely riverside café right next to Acle Bridge. Ideal for watching the boats from inside or outside seating whilst enjoying yummy breakfasts and delicious cakes. Also pet friendly with a separate inside seating area for pets & owners

Having known the shop since the 1980s we popped in for a lunchtime snack to see how it was after reopening and was impressed with the renovation, the quality of food and the staff, wish them every success for the future.

Acle Bridge café and shop closed some while ago. Site purchased by Broads Authority who propose to build a massively expensive Visitor Centre. Still, it's not their money they are wasting - it's ours!! And who on earth decided this was a great place to put such a thing!! The odd car going in or out of the old café entrance was one thing but the expected number of visitors to the Visitor Centre make it an accident(s) waiting to happen! Traffic leaving Acle cross Acle Bridge, very often at speed since the road is only subject to national speed limit at this point. The bridge has a high 'hump' with zero vision of the other side. The exit/entrance is just at the bottom of the bridge on the other side so invisible to traffic!! The entrance is a right turn across the traffic, which makes it worse! Good luck with that!! I, for one, will not be risking a visit!

A small cafe and souvenir shop and really pretty place to enjoy a coffee/cup of tea. Boats stop to pick up supplies and seating is outside near the river where you can feed ducks and swans. Reasonably priced refreshments and happy and polite staff.

After a wonderful afternoon at the Acle Bridge I took my friend for his dessert here. He adores ice cream so made room for it. I had a hot chocolate and he had a rather large vanilla and chocolate icecream. I did try it and it was lovely - creamy but light. The place is in a gorgeous setting and the staff were a delight.

There is mooring to the left of the store, on the opposite side and by the acle bridge pub just a few yards down, so it is an ideal location. There are a few tables outside so you can grab a coffee/tea/ice cream and enjoy the surroundings. The store was actually very reasonable and was by far the cheapest i found on the broads so stock up here on essentials. Pleasant shop on the broads just could do with more seating and a tidy up outside.

Don’t expect anything special; it is very basic to say the least. I would have thought if they ditched the cheap novelty shop and made it into a proper café it would be more financially rewarding.

The old gift shop that wasn't very inspiring has turned into a lovely restaurant. Take way & eat in. Lovely looking cakes. We've had the soup, fish & chips, steak suet pudd & broccoli bake during our visits. All were very filling and good food. The staff are welcoming and make sure that you have all that you need. It gets very busy which is a credit to its good food. Visit if you are going to Potter Heigham.

Very handy if your on a boating holiday as you can moor up near the shop & pop in to buy a few bits and pieces. The lady who runs the shop is also very friendly and welcoming.

On a day out and noticed this coffee shop when we were driving over the bridge. Great coffee, lovely views and a very pleasant owner - all made the stop worthwhile. If you are on The Broads it is worth a stop, there is a shop full of basic supplies. If time, stop for a coffee which is served with the most delightful sugar sticks :-)

We've been here a few times. The location is amazing if it's nice to sit out - right on the river by Acle bridge. I could sit there all day and watch the boats go past - as it's right by the bridge it can be entertaining watching boats turning/reversing/etc.

What better place to sit, have a coffee and watch the boats go past and if you’re feeling generous feed the ducks. The drinks are purchased from inside the gift shop. This is a lovely little stores with teas, coffees, hot chocolates etc. Also sells some lovely hot food, but only during the schools summer hols. At other times they still have hot sausages and mini pizza. I have visited both via boat and by car and sampled breakfasts on the boat in early September (huge bacon baps were wonderful!) We had a lovely lunch when we visited in the car, sausage and chips, baked potatoes etc, very nice and filling and at a very good price! At other times we have just enjoyed a hot drink sitting right beside the river with the ducks, swans, and other waterfowl! Lovely owners, very friendly and eager to please. We will regularly visit as it is a lovely place for me and my mum, both wheelchair users, to get close to the rivers without causing problems for our able bodied companions!

Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. Disappointed in my coffee though as I ordered an iced caramel latte, hoping it would be as good or better than the chilled ones from supermarkets. I'm sure it would be to some peoples' tastes but I felt it lacked flavour and body. I'll definitely go back to Costa but will get something else next time

Really enjoyed my food and the coffee was nice. The noise was unbelievable and it's really not that much of a big area and it wasnt like there was a large group at a table making lots of noise. We couldn't hear ourselves speaking to each other. Decor was nice. The exterior windows need a good clean. Not a lot of parking outside.

Food was not a very high in standards at all chips and onion rings were dripping with oil, steak was not cooked as requested, when we got there we order a few drinks a young lad took are drink order even though he was still sorting drinks for other people never waited so long just for a drink.would not come back again so £100 for poor food and poor service for four people, way over priced .
