Lovely little place for lunch on Saturday afternoon not overly busy, reasonable prices and excellent food

Dreadfully expensive £12.60 for a pint of real ale and a single vodka and tonic. My husband chose a pint of lager to begin with which was flat, he took it back, same again, so chose a real ale.

We had a horrendous experience. We arrived around 10 minutes before the time I had booked a table. We were ignored by staff for around 10 minutes until my friend spoke to someone who had walked pass us around 6 times. He stated that someone had taken our table which was not good enough so we did not bother staying. We left and ate elsewhere, we will never be coming to the bridge inn again. They were very busy and very under staffed. We willnot be visiting again.

Booked a table for 18:45, after 10 mins being ignored by staff and waiting we had to ask to be seated, there were no tables available despite booking, waited another 10 mins for the only member of staff to find us room and he was asking people if they’d move. We then left and ate elsewhere.

I think it's not fair to pay for parking If you are a customer. I now got a parking ticket and I'm very sick of this thing. So if you go to a restaurant with your family you need to count an extra charge because this system. Terrible. Otherwise the service of the restaurant is very good.

Despite it being a quiet evening we had a pleasant meal. Friendly staff.

I recently visited here with my partner and was served by Amy, she was friendly and accommodating and always had a smile on her face, it was a pleasure to be served by her, a credit to the business!

Went in at 4pm on Sunday and stood at the bar for 20 minutes, only 2 people were working the bar and there were large parties of people in the pub,also they had a very limited menu as they had run out of alot of the food from the menu.

Andy was wonderful - so attentive and made sure that we had the best meal.

Really good all together but manager really needs to learn how to respect customers more and when asked him what food contain milk becíase little one isn't allowed milk he said check online but I'm sorry all pub should provide a book or a tablet with allagies in to show the custors in person All together the lady that seen to us after had loads of respect and even offers to go and dubble check with kitching food was great just problems with manegent shocking !!!!!!

We all had an amazing time. The food arrived quickly and was delicious, it was cooked and served to a high standard. The service was excellent, we were served by Leighton, who was very friendly and polite and made the visit a really joyful and relaxing experience. We have already planned our next visit and recommended family and friends to visit also.

I ask for a medium rare steak and got one, well seasoned yummy.

Staff very friendly. Slightly disappointed that certain food was unavailable, especially Roast Dinners with it being a Sunday, but understand we visited in the evening. Thr food that we did end up ordering was very nice and we'd definitely visit again.

Got a parking fine! Apparently that day we went for food they had a new parking system.. No staff member said anything about this and seen nothing about it.. Got a lovley parking fine through the post... Nothing the pub can do.. As per... No number to ring.. As per... So paid the fine cost 200 for that day... Never coming back!..

Lad behind bar was ok but manager or so we gather with beard in green was so rude.Asked him if their were any more high chairs as the 1 we had was swaying he replied ye their over their and walked off!Never known anyone as rude.I do hope no child ever falls out of these chairs or they will sue the pants off you!

Absolutely shocking service, the manager and staff where very rude. Their attitudes stink. I come here LOADS with 6+ people multiple times a month. I also bring family once or twice a month 5+ people. Ill never visit again after this disgraceful attitude. The manager saying 'clearly you dont come alot if you dont know how deals work' Shocking! Im not surprised its quite alot!

We called in,( Mum, Dad, that's me, our son and his girlfriend), to take advantage of a discount on mains offer. And we weren't disappointed. Good food, well priced, and the ladies who served us were really pleasant, thankyou. Only one minor thing that rankled, was the price of my beer. £6.40. Whaaaaat. Would I go again, yes. Would I recommend others, also yes. 😃👍🍺

We came for food with friends and it was great. Good atmosphere and good food and service. It was also quiz night so we stayed and that was really fun, will have to come back and try and win their next one.

We had Christmas lunch on Christmas Day as a party of five, we had booked and were quickly seated, starters came out quite quickly. We waited an hour for mains and when they came out the food was just luke warm. We did nt complain as it was busy and a few tables were already unhappy. That evening nearly all of us were unwell. I have been in contact with the bridge inn to inform them and despite being told I knew others were poorly and also seeing someone else’s review about not being well after Christmas lunch I thought I’d post on here. They ve completed a full investigation I’m told and have said it was only our party that has complained. Obviously not according to the previous review. Our table spent £355 pound including extras to be poorly all night Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Never again .

We went to the Bridge Inn for a fun meal out to start the new year. The children had never done a pub quiz before but the quiz host made it so welcoming and enjoyable that they are very keen to do another. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious and there were great vegan options. Overall a 10 out of 10 experience - would recommend to all!

Lack of staff, extended wait times meant we didn't have time for dessert after been there 2 1/2 hours, pre ordered food was not available, quality of food was poor.

Very clean with a lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff make you feel very welcome. Lovely pub food. Although our order wasn't right. It was swiftly corrected. We had a very enjoyable meal, lasagne and steak in ale pie. Large bar and variety of drinks. Separate bar area if not eating. Pool table available for those who prefer a drink on the side. Sky sports for the sports fans. Fantastic outdoor beer garden with views over the canal.

Food delivery was slow and meals were served individually so out of the 8 the last person probably waited an additional 15 min for food. The food was barely warm-some was cold and was average at best. Chicken wrap almost £15 for 3 tiny pieces of chicken. Won’t be returning

Place was dead, never rate a place a 1! Didn’t have food but pint was the pits, me in the car park playing with remote control cars. Will try again this month, as hate leaving a 1 star

Me and my family went to the bridge inn for our Christmas dinner and it was an absolute shambles. We waited 30 minutes until being seated even though we had booked for 3.15 and arrived 5 minutes early. The starters came out quite quickly however we then went onto wait another 1 hour and 30 mins for our main after we had complained. The main was on the cold side and was tasteless. 3 of my family members have now got food poisoning and all we ate was this food and some chocolate. If I could give zero stars I would. Won’t be returning.

Our visit was a really lovely start to our Christmas day. There was 9 of us and we stayed for drinks. It was a great atmosphere and the staff were friendly. Service was quick even though it was quite busy.

Terrible service for our xmas meal. Arrived on time and was told had to wait another 30 minutes for the other table to finish their food which I understand cannot be helped however we was told that they leave a 30 minute difference between the next tables to allow for cleaning down however this clearly had not happened. Starters came out within 10 minutes which was great but did then take another hour and half for our main after we had to complain about the fact it was taking so long. When food arrived, it was luke-warm with some people missing veg from the xmas meal and also yorkshire puddings to also add, the bar manager provided a terrible service. He had no bottle to speak to us and kept sending bar staff to deal with us which I found very unfair with it not being their responsibility! We had to beg for a refund as we did not even have our pudding after the shambles we had already had occur. Just to also add, whilst we was complaining, another gentleman who had booked for xmas dinner had been waiting 4 hours and had been told they ‘forgot’ about his table and instead of a refund they offered him a gift voucher to come back.

The meal was pre ordered 5 weeks in advance, we received a call the Friday before to advise the beef hadn't arrived in and we needed to have chicken or turkey. I advised them that chicken would be fine for everyone. On the day everyone was presented with turkey. Which wasn't what we ordered and it was really dry and not nice. The bill was then paid by one of the 24 people and the £100 deposits hadn't been removed from the bill. If I hadn't have checked we would have lost the £100. The meal itself was terrible and no one ate a full plate of food. The staff are helpful however the bar manager is extremely rude and I wouldn't recommend ever speaking to a customer like he spoke to us especially after spending all afternoon in that pub. We will never return for food

We were served by Tyla. She took great care to ensure that the order was accurate and arranged for an alternative because of my allergy to peppers. A good experience for all of us.

come in all the time for pool Mondays always amazing staff such as Ben and Bella and Leighton too, great pizzas for the pizza and a drink deal aswell really delicious 100% recommend

We were a late booking of 12 due to a power outage at another venue. We were welcomed in and treated very well by Amy and Shelley. I had a surf and turf. The steak was cooked by Xander and was spot on. Thanks to all for making it a festive evening. We are planning to come again in the near future.

6 friends meeting for a meal. The starter 5 of us wanted did not show on the QR code ordering system. When we questioned why, we were told the item wasn't available. But, our order was then taken at the table by the staff member. This was a lovely touch as we are aware this is not a table service pub. From that point on, all food and drinks orders were taken at the table. All meals were cooked and presented well and good size portions. The steak was slightly overdone but I still enjoyed it.

We held a stall at the Christmas Market here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were lovely. The bar and surroundings are beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

Had the Christmas meal last night which was delicious but there was far too much for me. Worth the money. The staff were very attentive. It would be nice to have a separate eating area than where there’s groups of lads being roudy.

Great afternoon here with friends. The staff were great giving excellent service. Ellie-Mae really stood out looking after us. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was as nice too.

Blown away by the level of service I received today at the Bridge Inn. Shelley went above and beyond to help me navigate the menu when faced with a lack of availability of the mixed grill. Thank you Shelley. You are a star. Cowboy burger was an excellent recommendation and you truly saved the day. I’ll be back again soon.

I go here for a drink on a night and it’s always friendly just what you need after a long day. Pints are always cold and refreshing and Ben who’s normally behind the bar is a good laugh.

Lovely venue, staff were very kind and welcoming, made for a very nice atmosphere one of the staff Ben was also very kind and accommodating was good to me and my friends.

Had a brief visit not so long ago as I was passing through on my way back from work. Let’s just say the beer and service is so pleasant I’ll be telling the wife I’ll be “working overtime” most nights from now on!

Called in on our way to watch wakefield trinity ,great atmosphere but I think they underestimated how many people would be there as a lack of staff caused quite a long delay in being served but nice pub all in all

Bar staff were all incredibly friendly and polite. Food order was a little slow coming out but maybe due to large group just before us. Staff asked how our meal was and were very helpful when I spilt my drink. Also heard the manager deal very politely and correctly with a ridiculous complaint from another group of visitors . .

I booked a table for 9 for Sunday lunch 6 weeks ago so imagine my disappointment when we arrived yesterday to find the Sunday menu wasn't available and hadn't been for weeks. Why on earth wasn't I informed about this? This information wasn't on your website or your Facebook or your Instagram. Having booked a table I would have expected an email to let me know Sunday lunch wasn't available. Obviously booking for 1pm on a Sunday we were expecting the Sunday lunch menu that is shown on the website. The manager on duty apologised but this is not good enough, I would have liked to be offered a free drink or dessert to make up for it. I will not be recommending The Bridge Inn to anybody and we will not be returning.

Not been in for a while so popped in yesterday. We were really impressed. I think there’s been a manager change? as all the staff were really attentive and helpful. The food was really tasty and good vfm. Even found room for dessert. We won’t leave it long to visit again. Can recommend.
