Food was average. The works burger bun was soggy and was dished up with a few corn chips and lettuce. My wife had an American hotdog which was nice enough

Needed lunch as we were travelling. Lentil soup – home made and delicious. Toastie really tasty: chicken, mayo and chipotle – nice and spicy! I’d recommend this to anyone (and I haven’t tried the cakes yet – looked really yummy)

Lovely little gem hidden away... Walked past whilst shopping many times, always assumed it was just a workers type cafe (I may be biased having seen The Apprentice 🙃) or the like being on an estate... Very wrong. Popped in for lunch, chicken, bacon and brie pannini and a toasties... Cappuccino... Spot on. Nicely decorated, clean and friendly staff.

I eat here yesterday with my family. The menu is casual but very good, served by an attentive, warm and friendly team. Up until now, the best flat white I’ve ever had is at Truth in Cape Town, however the one I had at Bridge Cafe was even more amazing. Without question, the best coffee in Oban.

We went for lunch 2 adults and 2 children. Red haired girl ordered our lunch at the same time, one order came the other didn’t, she apologised and said it wouldn’t be long. It wasn’t overly busy.. spent ages waiting. Other customers upstairs were waiting too. Eventually my friend had ate her food and still been waiting so I cancelled. Then when we eventually left a young blonde girl was very rude and told us we had to pay upstairs next time, we said we knew this but no one was coming up the stairs, we also rang the buzzer which she told us next time to do. We said we tried this numerous times and no one answered.. very unorganised.

We visited the Go Bananas soft play which is run by the bridge cafe with my 4 and 7 year old children. The soft play itself is small and suited to younger children but it was clean and had a good seating area. The kids really enjoyed it. We had coffee and cake from the cafe downstairs which was really tasty and the staff were all helpful and friendly.

When it comes to letting children let some steam off and have lunch, Oban does not offer anything better. Unfortunately on national scale ... this is a preety poor facility and certainly not worth the money it is being charged for. where do i start? 1. Kid's meals really are not great at all.. not to metion there is No healthy option to choose from. 2. Its rather expensive. Children are charged as young as 1yr and its only for 1.5 hrs. This is how long it takes sometimes to feedmy kids. And where is the play time? 3. There isn't a bathroom/nappy changing facility upstairs (yes you have to take stairs for kid's play area), so for me with 2 kids under 3 it was a major hassle. 4. Kid's area closes at 15.00. No hance for a play after a nap then for my kids ... Other than that the cafe is pleasant enough and food is .. well average.

Wonderful softplay for younger children. In addition to the normal softplay there is a room of toys, a ball pit, a big flat area for toy cars and trikes, etc - kept my two happy for hours. All clean and well set up. There are also comfy sofas and nice coffee delivered from the cafe for parents. Cafe downstairs was very nice and made delicicous toasties. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, particular brownie points for posting the shoes we left back to us FOC. Don't be put off by the location (on a retail park between Tesco and lidl) - this is an easy walk from the centre of town and a great find, particularly for keeping children happy on a rainy day!

Dentro encontramos a muchos lugareños que se habían reunido para disfrutar de la comida y la bebida, y el compañerismo que era tan obvio cuando entramos. A great little soft play upstairs from the cafe with a few little different rooms and plenty to entertain little ones - usual softplay and slides, plus a ball pit, lego, a basketball hoop, a little doll bed, books, cosy coupe cars and see-saws, plus some bumper cars for older kids but I think these were out of order. Great that the cafe bring up your order as well, food was good. This was a great way to entertain our toddler on a rainy day during our holiday in Oban, especially as we weren't at home with all our usual toys etc. Also, nice that they had a little stars and moon light thing for little ones to look up whilst getting a nappy change - this kind of detail makes all the difference when you're trying to entertain a baby!

Had lunch at the excellent Bridge Cafe in Oban today. We ordered Leek & Potato soup and, just as it arrived, the owner bounced over and said "did we know that the soup was made with chicken stock" She then said that we "looked like vegetarians" and she thought we ought to know! How very thoughtful and friendly, I can't imagine it happening in many other restaurants. How great to look like a vegetarian, definitely going there again. An absolute gem, warm, cosy and friendly. Can't wait to try more of the menu. The only possible issue is that it looks a bit offputting from the outside, I think they would be well advised to splash out on a pot of paint and maybe a nice sign or two.

During our frequent visits to Oban my husband and I usually end up in The Bridge Cafe. We know we will always get a warm, friendly welcome and good, helpful service. It is always clean, food is always tasty and the boss is usually on site working hands on and keeping a discreet eye on service etc;. Lunch at Bridge Cafe is an absolute must every time I'm in Oban! Lovely, friendly environment and has a real family feel to it. The food is brilliant, have tried several of the paninis and the granary prawn roll is an all time favourite. My kids love the lunch bags and my husband loves the Aberdeen angus beef burger. Unfortunately kids are too old for the soft play facilities but they look great and would definitely recommend. Food must be ordered at the bar which we didn't realise but once we sat down (comfy sofas!) there was a laid back atmosphere with good music. Service is also fast but not interfering. Oh and the freshly ground coffee was the best I've tasted! Was very surprised as from the outside my hopes weren't too high - very impressed with this family run business.

I was recommended to this cafe by a friend. We went there for lunch and a coffee. On entry, no-one acknowledged us. I looked towards the bar area to make eye contact, but the person there didn't look our way. We sat at a table and I looked around for a menu. I couldn't see one anywhere, so went up to the bar to ask the assistant for one. She was talking to another customer and couldn't be interrupted, so I went and found one for myself. When we eventually ordered, the staff were helpful enough, but spoke very quietly and were hard to understand. Twice I had to say 'excuse me?'. Even though I'm not foreign... The music was quite loud and conversation was difficult because of the acoustics. When the capuccino machine was on, we had to halt conversation. On leaving, our waitress was sitting at the door with some paperwork. We looked at her to say thank you, but she didn't look up or even acknowledge us ... strange! Aside from that, there was an interesting and eclectic mix of menu items. One was organic Mull cheddar which is quite seriously strong! It would have been nice if the staff had given advice and been generally conversational about the items on the menu.

Seriously over rated & expensive. Stopped for a quick breakfast. Service was so slow that we'd finished a pot of tea by the time the food arrived. Ordered toast, avocado and poached eggs. Toast was cold, eggs cold and avocado had some sort of green sludge mixed through it with toasted oats and seeds on top. Not what was ordered. Not what was on the menu and I had specifically said I wanted something plain. Don't bother - it's not worth it!!
