we popped in here for a drink on recommendation of a friend, glad we did, what a little gem of a pub.. the 2 ladies running the bar were friendly and welcoming, even the customers were friendly.. so much so we ended up spending a few hours in here on 2 of our days.. would highly recommend it and cant wait to visit again..

We recently visited The Bricklayers and had a mixed experience... The pub has good, cheap ale (i particularly liked the Doom Bar real ale) and has several TVs showing several sports for the sports lovers out there... However, the service was slow... the pub was busy, but thd bar service was exceptionally slow despite this... Ok pub if in Altrincham, but would not stay here all night if out for a drink with friends... maybe call in for one pint then move on...

I wanted to watch England v Australia T20 match. Had a look in three pubs, all had the football, Brazil match on and hardly anyone in. So went to the Bricklayers, about ten outside drinking and being chavvy, nothing wrong with that I will add. Went inside, totally empty, five screens, five different programmes, I thought I'll have a beer and ask if they'll put the cricket on, woman behind the bar with her back to me playing on her device after a couple of minutes I said "A pint of Doombar please" she replied "Just one second lovey" I said "Sorry to bother you" and walked out.

So disappointed. We used to love going here and enjoyed their lovely food at lunchtime. We have not visited Altrincham for about 1 year and decided it was time to call in again. We live in Stockport and travelled by train and tram to visit our favourite eating place. Couldn’t believe it and there was nowhere else to eat similar food. Ended up having a sandwich, which was just ok. Couldn’t find another pub or fish and chip shop. Doubt we will visit Altrincham again; very sad.

Walking around alti with the salford lads looking for a suitable establishment to get the sesh started and came across this gem. Walked in to some banging tunes, the type that get you ready for a night out at birdy - love it! A lot of friendly people in there as well and the prices are great + they have sky sports. 5 out of 5, would come again.

Not having been in the town for a long time we didn't know where to go for lunch, then we fell upon the Bricklayers Arms. It's a lovely little pub on the high street. Really clean and comfy, friendly staff and great music from the juke box. Small basic menu but very reasonably priced. Served quickly and food arrived quickly. We all had sandwiches and chips, which were really fresh and tasty. Really nice little place we will definitely return.

My wife and I called in for a drink whilst shopping and the friendly bar maid advised is about their great Sunday lunch for £4.95. I had that and it lived up to expectations - fantastic value and really tasty with lots of home made gravy. My wife had the chicken curry which I'm told was lovely. We had s laugh with the friendly bar staff and the place was great. Next time we are in Altrincham, we will definitely call in. Top pub

по дороге с Олд Траффорд в центр Манчестера зашли в этот паб. Отличное место. Недорогое пиво, большой выбор и бесплатные пирожки к нему. Долго вспоминали его приятными словами. Будете проходить мимо - зайдите.

We had stayed in the hotel up the road and fancied having a walk into town rather than eating in the hotel. Altrincham is a lovely little town but there is a woeful lack of cafés. We therefore found the Bricklayers Arms. It had a breakfast menu. So we ordered the full works. It was pretty good. The sausage was a bit of an economy job, but the plate was packed with just about everything you can get on a plate. The only thing I was a bit put off by was the sheer number of people drinking booze at 9am! Then again, it is a pub. A pleasant surprise.

We were staying in Manchester to visit a great-niece and her boyfriend and had a spare evening. We had decided against eating in our posh hotel, because the “B-team” was running the bar and they had put us off, badly. What a different world when we entered Don Giovanni’s on Oxford Street (Manchester 1). An immediate and friendly welcome, with the cheery and involved banter continuing throughout our evening. No, this was not intrusive, Zehra was intuitive enough to know how to treat each table. This was back in April and so I can not now recall either the wins of the courses, but we’ll be back. What a joy. - thank you Zehra and co.

A superb city centre boozer with 8 cask, 2 keg ales on in regular rotation - including the excellent Plum Porter by Titanic Brewery The friendly staff don't mind you spilling out on to the street on a Saturday night, mixing with office types and students Wooden panelling and traditional pub decor complete the experience. One of the best pubs in the city center of Manchester
