Brewhouse & Kitchen - Sutton Coldfield in Birmingham

Came at 10pm on a Saturday and it was closed. Very disappointed as had to pay for parking before we saw that it was closed. Wasted the trip and parking money.

Family meal, the beef and chicken burgers were delicious, fab selection of beers and friendly staff

Very nice midweek family meal. Food was good, choice of beers was excellent and service was very good.

The Sunday lunch was definitely one of the betters ones I’ve had, Caitlin was very attentive and pleasant. Would happily return

Visited on 20th of July 24 for a family get together and meal due to it being dog friendly. Upon arriving they didn't have our booking in the diary, but managed to fit us in. Tried to use their QR code drinks ordering, after 15 minute wait had to go the bar to find out where the drinks were, apparently the tickets fall on the floor and get missed so didn't use this service again. Food was ordered, the first dishes came out, one went back twice due to first being wrong, second time it was cold. We also received other dishes that weren't ours so sent those back. Mains came out and I would advise not having the chicken burger as all 3 of us felt they were small, dry and over cooked. Simply put the food was terrible, I'd go as far to say its probably worse than anything I've even been served in a Wetherspoons and its been a few years since I had to eat in one of those. I certainly will not be visiting another Brewhouse and Kitchen as it seems the chain has really fallen down, its pretty sad as first visited this place when it opened and had a great experience. Another thing to note the male toilets had two broken urinals, they were flooded like swamp and smelt of urine. The state they are in I would say they shouldn't even be open as it's dangerous and unhygienic. Drinks wise, the house brewed pils was decent, the Best Bitter looked like mud, and the listed guest beers of Steady and Lightbulb were not available even though listed on the menus. Certainly wouldn't recommend this venue to anyway, even though the staff were pretty friendly, if not a bit incompetent.

Visited on Sunday place was very quiet, noticed hoppy hour had couple of beers with meal food was OK but overpriced for what it is, disappointed with bill as when we ordered it was happy hour but as we paid after this (waiting on the bill) had finished beers were charged at full price bit of a shame 🫠 probably wouldn't go out my way to go back tbh more life in a cemetery...

Popped in for a few drinks yesterday afternoon, was really impressed by the friendliness of all of the staff especially Abbie who made us feel very welcome and was extremely helpful in explaining the different types of beers, thank you we will definitely be back.

Chris was fab as a host on our red letter experience today. Extremely knowledgeable and personable ... highly recommend and will be visiting again with family nest time.

Great afternoon listening to jazz with a drink and relaxing. Staff really friendly and helpful. Busy afternoon so toilets were well used and it showed - men’s and ladies 🫤, just thought it was worth a mention 😬.

we visited the brewhouse with my family last Saturday. Great atmosphere. we ordered mushrooms, a great option for vegetarians. We were delighted with the pork burn ends and chicken wings. It's great that there is an option for children under 6 who can eat selected dishes for free, so we got a chicken burger, soft and crispy. the beer can chicken I chose was full of flavor and my wife was delighted with the beautifully prepared steak. we recommend and will come back.

Was here for my Birthday with family, food and beer was great! Unfortunately they let themselves down trying to charge us £25 service charge when we had to order from the bar. Also when we got home realised we were charged for extra things.

I recently checked out Brewhouse Sutton Coldfield, and boy was I impressed! The food was top-notch, and let's not forget about their tropical IPA - it was like a party in my mouth! Shoutout to Chris for being the ultimate beer guide and letting me sample practically their entire lineup. With service like that, you can bet I'll be back for more brews and bites. If you want good food, great beer, and a guy named Chris who knows his stuff, this place is a no-brainer. Cheers to that - literally!

I paid a visit to Brewhouse Sutton Coldfield and had an incredible experience! The fish and chips were absolutely delicious, and Abi was super helpful, letting me sample nearly all the beers they had on offer. I'll definitely be returning for more of those tasty bites and refreshing brews. If you're after top-notch food, great beer, and friendly service from folks like Abi, this place is a winner. Five stars all the way!

Very disappointed with Sunday lunch. The beef was tough the onion and parsnip were hard. You were recommended to me by customer l think they must have had a taste bypass. Would not go there

Decided to come here for food with my children- I had the seabass and my kids had the fish and chips, the food was delicious and the waitress Jenny was lovely. She ensured we had great service throughout the afternoon. will be visiting again soon.

Came today after seeing the Sunday roasts when we were last in and being compelled to try them! We absolutely weren’t disappointed. They were delicious: very generous portion sizes, high quality ingredients and excellent value for money. Lily - our server- was absolutely lovely from start to finish. She welcomed us at the start and gave us options of seating. She was especially accommodating with our pushchair and gave us options where we would have enough room for that. She was attentive and kept checking back to see if we had everything we needed. She was clearly working very hard as she was behind the bar and bringing food to tables but not once did she let her exceptional service slip. Thank you Lily for making our experience enjoyable. We will be back!

Good atmosphere and Abby was a great support across the whole evening! Definitely coming over again.

We had a group dinner and some beers and were very well looked after by extremely attentive manager and staff.

Sat outiside with a group of friends good service all night. Asked a waitress in a checked shirt and false eyelashes where our drink order was after waiting 15 mins she returned with the drink responding rudely with “it was 5 mins wait” and walked off. No need for the rudeness. All of the other staff were pleasant and friendly.

Amazing food! Had the best veggie roast here and the staff were so kind and attentive! Would highly recommend!

One of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had. Waited over an hour for our drinks which we had to ask for several times. Food came out at different times so some of us had finished eating and others hadn’t got theirs yet. Very understaffed but staff unapologetic. When we went to ask again for our drinks the staff were so rude, spoke down to us as though we were being unreasonable and it was our fault. Shocked at the lack of customer service and the way we were treated. We wanted to dessert but had to go elsewhere. Spoilt our afternoon.

My husband and I both loved our meals and the service was super great! We are Texans living in the area and pretty rare for us to say both food and service was great! We will for sure be back and looking forward to warmer weather to sit outside on their patio. I had the hamburger it was really good, and he had sausage and a mash of some sort with greens in it and was super tasty!

Terrible experience, they forgot the chicken with my partners ceasar salad which was more like a side salad. The starter plates never got collected thankfully there spare table. The alcohol saved the night!, Watch out on the drinks menu a bottle is not the price in bold but a 500ml carafe.

Great micro brewery located in Sutton Coldfield. Wide range of beers available and pub also serves great food. We recently tried the Sunday lunch menu which was great value for money. Churros were very very tasty 😋😋😋

The ladies toilets let’s this venue down. There are 3 cubicles- the first has an ill fitting toilet seat. The other two never seem to have any toilet paper. The last time I visited there was no hand soap either. Oh and the light between the two doors to the toilet hasn’t worked for a few months now. Shame really as it’s a nice venue but badly let down by the toilets ( not sure about the gents but last time one of the soap dispensers was broken and the gents was out of order….)

I recently visited brew house and kitchen. I was served by a woman called Jenny, and she acknowledged my needs as a Muslim and let me feel included. Great service from her, will be returning soon

The food was delicious, we had burgers, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only disappointment for me personally (as a wheelchair user) was the Disabled Toilet, it is way too small and the door too narrow, the handle on the inside of the door also restricts the width of the doorway once open. Shame because there is an accessible ramp and disabled car park space at the front of the building but loo needs some changes please.

Popped in whilst in the area visiting friends. We hadn’t booked so we’re unsure if we would get a table. Made to feel very welcome by a lovely young lady called Lily who soon found us a table. Good food and great service!

Visit when my granddaughter comes to stay and always a good pint and a friendly welcome. It’s never too busy which is good but last time we visited it was quite busy. our server Lily was buzzing around but was very polite with everyone and always a smile.

I had a great time at this brewhouse, I have been to multiple now but the atmosphere and service in this sutton one was absolutely exceptional. I was served by an ambitious young man named Daniel who was keen to help me with recommendations on the best food and drinks of which they serve, Daniel and the rest of the crew bought a very friendly aura with them and it was a wonderful experience.

I went with my partner for a few drinks and had an unbelievable experience, due to Dan on the bar who was very knowledgeable about the beer selection and with a recommendation from Belle on the wine served for my partner. Both ensured we had a great evening together and were utterly professional with outstanding service. We will definitely be coming again!

Perfect spot for a meal, service was exquisite, when I asked for my food to warmed up the manager dan made sure to deliver my food at a perfect temperature and made sure to check on my table frequently for any further help, I’d also like to point out belles sweet nature when presenting me my drinks and taking any further orders would highly recommend

We were excited to visit the Brewhouse and Kitchen for the first time having read such good reviews. We decided to book for a very late lunch at 4pm due to one family member’s travel plans and to take advantage of the Sunday to Thursday late afternoon special offer of glasses of wine for £4.50. At that time of day the restaurant was quiet but we stood by the reception area to be seated for some time before we were attended to. Service was slow and we were informed that the drinks special was not available on Sundays, only Monday to Thursday. We didn’t argue at the time but when I checked later, the advert clearly states Sun-Thurs from 4pm. Another server took over and service did improve. Everybody had a different meal but we all agreed that they were all very average except for the roast beef which was quite good. Very disappointing and we definitely won’t be returning.

Messed up order charging for larger portion as we weren't asked what size we wanted. Had 5 very good sized chicken wings then 1 that must have come from an alien miniature toy chicken breed or something. I never knew chickens that tiny existed. It was basically a tiny 1 and a half inch battered bone. The flatbread was indescribable. Stale, tasted as though it was a leftover from another plate the day before that was warmed up and covered in some kind of unidentifiable and irrelevant 'sauce' as an attempt to disguise the staleness. Waitress was miserable. Won't be going back again. Gave 2 stars for the 5 sized wings and their sauce as they were tasty.

Always pop in when in Sutton. Fabulous range of brews and good German beer. Staff always friendly and chatty. Food is reasonably priced and tasty. Comfortable seating, lovely and warm in winter. Great place all round.

Food was really good Was very quiet as was Sunday afternoon Service was ok . didn't ask if we needed any sauces or ask if food was ok which normally happens but servers were pleasant and smiling But like this place and will be back

We were a party of 10, everyone thought the food and drinks they ordered were very nice. I had a butternut squash and cheese tart which I will definitely order again. Stuff members were very friendly and accommodating. We had a delightful time.

All our meals were served quickly, great menu choices, excellent wine & beer selection. We had steak, the cheeseburger & steak and ale pie, all were delicious, and hot. Lovely service from the staff too. Not our first visit, and definitely not our last. Highly recommended !

I attended the International Women's Day event on 8th March, with a friend. It was interesting and informative. We were involved with the brewing process throughout the day, we're provided with lovely food including breakfast and lunch and plenty of "beer tasting", all complimentary! My very first stop in Sutton ever! Dan the day bartender was absolutely amazing. Very honest with his description of the food as well as the recommendations. I was in Sutton for 3 days and ended up going there all 3 days. The night supervisor is also amazing. Made me try a German beer with a very smoked finish. Absolutely loved this place.

I like the Brewhouse. Love the beers that are made on the premises. The staff are always really friendly. Swain looked after us last night and was really polite and responsive. It's my favourite beer/food place in central Sutton Coldfield.

We went here for Sunday Dinner and weren't disappointed. We received a warm welcome from the Manager who was friendly and jovial and helped us to decide which beers to try. After 4pm, all the B&K beers and house wines are priced at £3.95 per pint/glass, which we thought was very reasonable. We tried each of the roast dinners - chicken, beef and pork. The half chicken was very succulent and the beef was served nice and pink. The pork was good too but lacked crackling. The portions were good, with each meal served with two Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and vegetables. My only criticism was that the plates were a bit small so the food was somewhat piled up. We will definitely return.

Welcoming, good service, and friendly helpful waitress. Food was served quick and hot. Drinks also arrived quickly. I had the draught biter, my partner had one of many lagers. Prices to suit most budgets. Also room was lovely and warm.

Popped in just wanting a small snack and coffee on a Friday afternoon. What we had was spot on. Two teas and a coffee Six Korean style crispy chicken wings. Bang bang chicken in flatbread. And asked for a chip butty that was not on the menu, but I got it sorted with a brioche bun and chips. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. Service was really pleasant. A nice relaxing afternoon snack. Lots more choices on the menu, but we just wanted something lighter. Came to just under £30 so was good value

Good selection of beers, both home grown and from elsewhere. Nice decor, wheelchair access, friendly staff. Food is a bit pricey. Beers about £6/pnt.

Definitely the best pub in Sutton! Always come in for Saturday afternoon drinks and never been disappointed with the service or food/drinks. Matt, Belle and Caitlin are incredible!

What a cracking experience, It was so good I have even forgotten the name of the brewer who run the day (Sorry) but he was great and really took time to answer questions and was very knowledgeable. Even when the brew decided it did not want to play along, he was really calm, and got it all back on track whilst we enjoyed a some really excellent samples of the ales of the house! At first when the wife showed me this I even thought it looked a little pricey for a day - it isn't, it is cracking value! When you take into account a full day, plus food, plus drinks, plus a mini keg of your choice and a great experience it, it well worth it! If you like craft beer and micro breweries, this a day not to miss.

Went for a gin tasting session! Belle was lovely! Really relaxed with a bit of a gossip inbetween gins! Really lovely girl and made the experience really enjoyable! Thankyou so much! Also Matt as the manager was brilliant! Had a laugh with both of them and loved every minute of it! Will definitely look at booking again! xx

Great service, great bear - I suggest to try a Whisky Strout beer. Food is good. Not sure about the steaks because not tried but burgers are good.

Pre ordered a meal 2 weeks before the date. They changed the menu and didn’t tell us which left my son hungry. Had to wait longer than others in my party despite pre ordering food.

Visited the Brewhouse & Kitchen for a beer masterclass and meal for 2. Our Beer Master, Swain, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. The food was good but it as definitely the fun beer facts and chance to taste different beers that made the evening. Thanks Swain and team!

Massively overpriced, average beers. Nice warm atmosphere, place is clean, and looks great, but damn guys you are like three times the price of the Wetherspoons next door.

Booked for 12noon on a Saturday as had a voucher to use. Plenty of seats available, not busy at all. Bar staff really friendly. Service was great and fiod was delivered to the table really quickly and hot. Food really tasty. Good choice of beers and cidres and was able to taste before committing to the drink. 10/10 😀

Always a reliable place for drinks and generally a decent evening but always so unreliable with food. Quality of food is always solid for the price but I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve gone to order food and they’ve stopped service early, run out of stock or have stopped serving food because they’re “busy”. If you want food, be prepared with a backup option.

Food felt like it had been microwaved and kept warm for days dry fish and over cooked mac n cheese. Waitress was rude. I think she thought she was funny but definitely wasn’t. The Tuesday before Christmas and the place was empty - I see what now. Our table was for 6 people and we all feel the same. Will not be returning.

We booked for a buffet as a works Christmas party and everything was amazing. The food was delicious and they catered for our large party so well. Would 100% recommend booking for a big celebration!

Not impressed with this restaurant.Let me book a table when they were not even open! Apparently they open late in December!Have not updated their website.Phoned to complain,they did not seem bothered.

Huge thanks to the staff for accommodating our large Xmas party. 50 people were fed twice over with the excellent buffet and the bar staff were so good at serving over 70 people with drinks. The manager was so helpful and managed all our changes and updates and the decorations we bought. Already talk of when the next party will be….

We had our Christmas get together here and had such a fantastic night. The staff were really friendly and helpful, we had a buffet which was lovely and the atmosphere was spot on. There was a dj and there was a fantastic vibe. My first time going but won’t be my last.
