Lovely apartment, spacious with everything you would need.pub downstairs for meals and drinks... The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful!

Great evening celebrating a friends 50th. We reserved a table ahead and the pub was buzzing, the team were friendly and efficient despite the large numbers of people celebrating Good Friday. The singer was excellent, and we had a really good time, great drinks, jokes with the girls, a bit of a dance, what’s not to love? 💕🍾 Thank you team!

I love the Brewhouse, the vibe and the staff and have done for many years. For some reason the cask and tap ales (XPA, Prince Ranjh & Tropical) all tasted absolutely foul when I came in with my kids this week. Admittedly it’s been 3 months since my last visit (I went dry) but I sincerely hope I haven’t lost my palette - I loved hangdog tropical in particular but they all had a chemical taste to them this time round. Will give it another go - hoping it’s just me. Such a great community hub!

As always - very friendly, helpful staff. Great atmosphere. Superb beer - brewed on the premises. Would be 5 star if parking was easier, but the location is otherwise great!

The Southbourne B&K is a great pub to bring your dog! They even have doggie snacks for free!

Hi - I received an email from you about 5 days ago asking for feedback about my last visit. I wasn’t going to leave a negative Google review but instead my email to you was ignored. We came for brunch last Saturday. We had to ask for brunch menus as there were none on any of the tables. It took the chap about 5 minutes to get us a menu. We sat down at a table that was unstable so we moved to the neighbouring table. That table had not been cleaned from the night before. After 30 minutes waiting for our orders I had to ask for a member of staff to check for our food. The waitress came back and said “5 minutes”. It was clear the orders had not been received by the kitchen. There were no other people ordering food as far as we could see and very few customers drinking. The food came 10 minutes later. My order was wrong and actually the food wasn’t great. My sausage was burned and my eggs were almost inedible. We are regulars but Saturday’s service was pretty dreadful. The fact you don’t respond to emails isn’t great either.

I am never disappointed when I visit the Brew house. It was easy to book a table on line and easy to arrange a larger table. The staff are always friendly, last night a huge thank you to Zoe. The food was delicious and service excellent. Always good value for money. Thank you I will be back

Good range of beers. But if you're meeting for a quiet drink with a friend, do pick your night - quiz night can get quite loud!

Such a lovely pub for a pint and a catch up! Really nice vibes, the staff are super friendly and very accommodating.

Okay, beers but unfortunately service was pretty abysmal despite the dining area not even being full. Took 50 minutes to get a plate of chips and then we asked about it we didn't even get an apology. We then ordered some small starter plates and that took a further 45 mins and we had to chase them up on it.

In brief: No ice bucket for wine, lack of wine glasses, staff were abrupt when I apologised for not knowing there were table numbers (there are no clear metal disks on the tables) and snapped that they didn't know the number either as they'd been there a week (it was a table right in front of the bar/where we were talking! - maybe have a table plan to look at so they know the numbers and aren't rude to customers). Furthermore, the service was not done in the order of who'd been waiting the longest (some younger people lacking the manners to say they weren't next obviously doesn't help, but staff could correct them). Also, the halloumi fries were poor - seemed like they'd been recooked.

This is a great pub, good selection of beers, which you would expect in a Brewhouse and it has a lovely beer garden etc etc. BUT, I have on three separate occasions walked out because of the lack of service. Waiting at the bar for over 20 minutes, when it is not that busy is really annoying. They need to get more bar staff on at the weekends and have someone manning the two sides of the bar. It is frustrating and trying to get a drink here makes you feel like the invisible man.

A really great bar and a great place to stay aswell. They do air bnb and I had no complaints with it. It has a quirky beer garden. It also has a car park. The place is very large and I've always got a seat. Parking was the only difficulty. It is possible for the car park to be full on arrival.

This place was not easy to review. The staff welcoming, great atmosphere and very interesting menu. I’ll start with the negatives to get them out of the way, firstly they didn’t have one of the menu options which was one on the reasons we booked, not that great for a Friday night. Secondly we ordered cocktails at around £10 each and they were terrible, when I mentioned this to the waitress she just said they weren’t their speciality. Simple answer to that don’t offer them. Plenty of places in Southbourne that do great freshly made cocktails and food. The more positive aspect of the visit was that the food we did order was very good. Would I go again? Maybe but there are so many options locally it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Brewhouse totally nailed it today for both rugby matches - plenty of staff who all worked hard - no queues at the bar food good and tables cleared and tidied

I had an event in the Malthouse function room last night. It’s a lovely space and a great cost-effective way to host a party in a warm and friendly venue with its own bar with beers on tap.

Very comfortable space for a working lunch meeting. Great lunch menu.

This had to be the poorest visit I've had to this place, as far as service goes! The food was good, as per usual. But right from when we entered the restaurant it went downhill, our waiter showed us to the table then just left us there, he declined to ask if we wanted any drinks & he did not ask if we were going to order by phone or if we would like him to come back so we could order at the table! After waiting for 10 minutes for the waiter to return, I decided to go look for him so that we could get some service, he was nowhere to be seen so I asked the chef if there was anyone around to take our order, the chef grumbled at me but did actually go off in search of staff. The waiter finally came to our table but failed to offer any apology to us. We felt very underwhelmed & very ignored right from the start. I would actually return here because I like the food and the service is usually good, but I'm afraid this time it was shocking service!

13th December staff Christmas lunch for Hope Housing Training and support local Charity. Returned for the second year running as the food and service can’t be beaten. Not disappointed I would highly recommend this establishment for its great quality of food and service.

New staff every week, hot glass with beer. Since corona virus food and atmosphere gone down. They removed the single sofas, near home but more competition to go.

Hi my friend and I came down Xmas day for Xmas Dinner with my dog nala had an amazing day the staff were falling over each other to make the day special. Not all tables were being used so was a bit more private. We have been there a few times for Xmas Dinner and the food is always amazing. I phoned and said I could not get sitter for dog they said not a problem they put us in a friendlier area. I cannot praise the staff enough the guy that was serving our table with the beard I cannot remember his name my apologies but an amazing day will be back next year thank you so much for making our Xmas.

The New Year's Eve event was fantastic. The food was excellent and the staff were really professional and friendly. It was very well organised.

Visited for a meal with friends last night. We all ordered the grilled chicken salad, which was basically a whole cos lettuce and a few strips of grilled chicken 😐 no other salad items at all..Very basic. We had a long wait for the food, and were also sat by the back door so it was cold. Yes,we got what we ordered,but we're slightly surprised that that was basically "IT". The Manager did give us some discount (thank you) but all in all it was a very disappointing meal. 😞

Lovely atmosphere staff friendly pale ale is beautiful outside at back caters for smoking and has beach huts for privacy

Went in on a Saturday afternoon, was told they didn't have any bitter left, was then given the dregs of the session IPA which was obviously awful and when we asked for a new one he said "sorry that was the bottom of the barrel". If he knew that why did he serve it? Half the lunch menu unavailable at 1.30pm. my husband went to the toilet and found 2 blocked toilets and only 1 urinal.in use. Just not as good as it used to be.

I hired a meeting room for a Property AGM - Easy to do online, confirmed within a day or so. Meeting room had plenty of space for 10 people, heating and Screen(Did not use) - Friendly staff who provided my clients and myself with the ideal space - Keep it up

I was given a birthday voucher for a burger and a flight of beers, the burgers were quite disappointing, the beers were okay, the staff very friendly, can’t fault them and the surroundings. Really nice. It’s a lovely building. If I have a grievance it’s the fact that my partner was driving so had 2 glasses of lemonade which cost £7.30, I think that’s just ridiculous and I really don’t know how you can justify that price point? When I said the burgers were disappointing, my partner is a vegetarian, so your vegetarian burger was a lentil burger which had no taste no flavour, it really had nothing going for it. There are so many better vege burgers out there for vegetarians guys.

Thank you so much to Matt and his team for delivering a fabulous buffet to kick off the Christmas festivities for the BCS parents. We had a lovely, relaxed evening with a team who couldn't have been more accommodating. It was a real pleasure dealing with The Brewhouse ... we will certainly be going back.

No crispy cracking with my roast pork Sunday roast although It was stated on the menu. Waitress said crispy cracking was no longer included and hadn't been for a few months. Suggest the menu is changed to reflect this. The food was OK but a little cold and kale under cooked. A bit disappointing I'm afraid.

Visited yesterday for the Beer Master Class. I had an amazing time, the brewers are very knowledgeable, extremely passionate and fantastic company. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

They treat there customers really well and the food is always perfect

We came here on Sunday as a group and some of us had roast dinners and others had burgers or chicken. All of it was so delicious and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend.

We have been using The Malthouse event space for the past few months for our local women's empowerment group The Fold Community. As soon as we met Matt the manager and viewed the space we knew we had found our home. The staff at The Brewhouse are absolutely amazing, so flexible and attentive and they are so encouraging of the community we are growing in their venue. Thank you to The Brewhouse for giving women a safe space to learn and connect, we feel so welcome with you. Camilla & Sophie

Had bbq chicken, it was undercooked. After we told waitress she offered a drink or something to say sorry , first we said no , but decided to get some pudding. We asked for it and was told that chicken was cooked properly and if we want pudding, we would have to pay . 4 people at the table seen that chicken still has blood on the bone , but we still was told it’s fully cooked . The service was very slow if ordered on the app.

Spacey rooms to rent in good location however only partially clean with filthy curtains and walls splashed with all sorts of stains crockery not very clean either and no where anywhere to hang or dry towels. Bedsheet that kept coming off. Major complaint is the level of noise from what must be either air con or brewery equipment keeping us awake 2 of the 3 nights Restaurants food ok nothing special , service decent and beers nice.

On a day visit on our way to the vitality stadium. Enjoyed the variation of ales. £6 plus for ale seems to be the norm these days and people don't bat and eyelid and that's a shame as there is a huge profit margin. Will it ever come down? 2 "Mac and Cheese" 2 steak and ale pies £54. Wow! Food took a long time arriving but it was well presented tasted fine. Staff were polite and efficient. Overall the 4 of us enjoyed the experience. Still pricey though. Was distracted by all the Xmas Dinner promotions on 12th August!

Recently had lunch at the Brewhouse in Southbourne which is now under new management. Got to spend some time with Matt the new general manager who is a great guy with so much experience in the industry. He is a real community man and is already making some great improvements and changes! Lunch was really enjoyable with Beer B Cue Pork Carnitas to start with, followed by a juicy 10oz Ribeye Steak with garlic butter, chunky fries, and a tasty salad all cooked and presented really well and washed down with a lovely pint of cider! Great pub and would highly recommend!

Found this place by accident as we wandered aimlessly around Bournemouth and glad we didMake their own ales, the food is freshly made and did exactly what it says on the tin. Menu varied enough to cater for most and the type of food you can happily rock into whilst sampling their beers. Food and drinks all ordered through their app and you can try the drinks before you buyIn all would defo return if in the area again

Booked our 2 hour slot to eat dinner outside. Venue great - delays dreadful. Suffice to say, series of disasters, misinformation, ridiculoudly slow delivery of drinks, food arrived as we were leaving at the end of our two hour slot! The staff were polite and working so hard. We ate food, (which was good) in 5 mins as in a hurry and washed down by half a glass of water. Couldn't wait an hour for a second drink! Sadly the management blamed busy times and serving staff. Quite unfair the staff were great and venue half empty. Would love to return and try again as beer was good , but...

Service was shocking and we had to wait 20 minutes to get one round of drinks. The staff are overwhelmed and cannot deal with a pub that was not even half busy. Very disappointing

Waited at the table for a good 30 mins to order food and when we tried order our first choice wasn’t available and then neither was our second choice. Apparently there are no chickens in the Bournemouth area!! Then we come to reordering drinks, perhaps more staff actually taking food and drink orders would be in order ? Sat here for an hour and half and only had two drinks as no one could take orders except the man with the iPad. Awful experience won’t be back. Oh and as a side note our chips are cold. Very very very poor

Burger will pulled pork was great as were the chips, the bin was a little burnt from toasting. Another person is the party ordered a halloumi burger without the bun, this turned out to just be a few slices of halloumi, no salad or anything with it which you would have expected to see in the burger. Overall it was great though and we would return.

My son bought me this experience for my 50th birthday. The whole time from start to finish was fantastic. We learnt so much, our gin expert, Eleanor, was so knowledgeable and made it fun. You taste 5 gins and chose your favourite for a double at the end.Also get bread and olives.Highly recommend.

We had a table booked for 7.30 and we arrived on time. We had to find someone to take our order at 8.00 as no one had been near the table. Half of the food we wanted to order (we were a table of six) was unavailable. The food didn’t arrive until 9.00, by which time we had arranged to meet friends. Two of the meals were cold. We didn’t have to pay for the food, but that didn’t compensate for the spoilt evening.

The outdoor space is well protected and set up for the unsettled weather. Blankets supplied and heaters ready to use. Great food and drinks recommended and served in a friendly and efficient manner by Greg. His knowledge of the menu was helpful and he remembered the drinks we had last time. We visited the greenhouse after our original booking at a local hotel was cancelled due to bad weather. As vivid rules says only outdoor dining atm we didn't know where to go. We popped in this pub on the off chance.We were greeted by a extremely bubbly host who found us a nice table with overhead heating lamps and also brought us a blanket and a hot water bottle...What service! We ordered fish and chips which was delicious! The outside patio and garden is well covered for unexpected down pours, which did happen, but the staff were polite and extremely efficient. Well done Brewhouse for going above and beyond with your service. Your staff are a credit to you!

Well we came for Sunday roast was wasn't off so we have order steak what they came after to tell us it was off.also so we had steak pie what came without the side what they bring afterwards when we asked for it. The salmon they should put the chef on jail for it i never had seen nothing like. It looks off awfull I attached a pic so you can decide if you will eat it or not, it must be funny for the chefs because when the dish came back they were laughing . They need to clean it. I must say the staff who spoke with us was very nice. Polite and useful. No complain about then. I feel sorry them as they have to come to take it away.

First time ever in one of these establishments. Waited 50 minutes for a drink . Took forever to get some food sorted out as none of us were familiar with the unknown ordering system. Not busy but food took a long time to arrive and all at different times. The outside heaters need attention as does the training and poor management of what could be a terriffic pub. The food was poorly cooked and even with a 25% discount was not worth the money. The directors should spend some time in here and I am sure it would pay dividends.

As my local I'm really disappointed in the service, I haven't been in since lock down. The night myself and my girlfriend chose to visit we were given a table near the bar and told someone would be over to take our drinks order, we sat for 20 minutes being completely ignored before choosing to leave, staff were stood around or at the bar chatting and as we were sat right by the front door the lady greeting people could clearly see us sat waiting. No excuse really but really am disappointed.

This is a tricky review. The first visit was a Sunday evening, and the place was relatively quiet. Our host (Greg) was most helpful, suggesting beers, and being happy to chat about many aspects of the brewing process and the restaurant. We chose the butternut filo parcel and the halloumi, both of which were absolutely delightful. I was most impressed by the beers, and we were able to sample a couple of others for a comparison. I thoroughly enjoyed it.The next evening, we booked a table. On arrival there was a queue to get in (on a Monday, yes!) as there seems to be discounted food. Our table was in the same part of the place as the previous night. Our host (Abigail) was efficient and friendly, but I felt that she had much more to do than the staff on the previous night. We were not offered samples of different beers, and we were not given condiments and sauces with our meals. This time, we both chose burgers, a pulled port burger and a buttermilk chicken burger, with the burnt pork belly as a starter. Now it is in the name of the starter, but felt that all of the food we had was a little overcooked. The burgers were a bit hard. I wouldn't go as far as complaining about it, but it is worth a comment here. It seems a shame to mark the place down, as the setting is nice, the interior is well laid out (oh yes, toilets are upstairs- you might need to know this if you struggle with mobility- there is probably another one on the ground floor), and the staff are as helpful as can be, as shown by our confusion about whether my order for a 'hefe weissbier' had been heard as 'half a wissbier.'Perhaps my message would be to go to this place when the special offers are on and all the staff have time to look after you properly.

Sabe fresco y siempre está caliente cuando llega.Una gran adición es que practican deporte y le permiten reservar una mesa de observación (entre otros entretenimientos que ofrecen).¡Un gran pub completo!

Lugar realmente acogedor. Menú para niños, excelente servicio de bienvenida a nuestra familia, buena cerveza (gran selección de cervezas de la casa, borradores de invitados e importaciones empaquetadas) y un buen menú con suficientes opciones para mantener a todos contentos. COVID seguro y el personal lo aplica cortésmente, lo que nos hace sentir cómodos. Fuimos varias veces durante el receso de una semana. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Visité hace 2 días con un amigo. Nos sentamos dentro como lo solicitamos. solo unas pocas personas en esta etapa. El camarero tomó nuestra orden de bebidas y luego pedimos nuestra comida. Esperamos 45 minutos y, para ser sincero, no fue genial. Las supuestas hamburguesas con queso no tenían queso, las patatas fritas estaban tibias. Este es realmente el hogar de una experiencia fantástica. Nos alojamos en los apartamentos Air BnB encima del pub, que eran excepcionales. Espacioso, limpio y magníficamente equipado. . . era un verdadero hogar lejos del hogar. Nuestra estadía mejoró aún más al conocer a Arnold William, que era el personaje más grande. Tendrás que quedarte para conocerlo también.En cuanto al pub en sí, es un espacio enorme que ofrece una cómoda zona de bar bien espaciada; comedor relajado y bien organizado y un gran espacio exterior con mesas de estilo cabaña de playa privada.Durante cuatro días probamos el brunch y disfrutamos de dos cenas, todas fantásticas. Menciones particulares a las puntas de cerdo quemado y el pollo a la cerveza que fueron espectaculares. Came here with a couple of friends for a bite to eat and had a great time! The service was great, and our waitress Katie was exceptionally good - she was very lovely and rather funny. Will definitely come back again :) Also a whole bunch of tasty vegan options, would recommend trying them out!

Brilliant gin tasting experience. Iva was very knowledgable and friendly. I learnt a lot about the history of gin and was great to try gins that I wouldn’t necessarily want to order in case I didn’t like them! Throughly recommend the experience.

Very disappointing welcome from the female host who approached us at the door. We requested to sit outside, given the current COVID set up and the weather conditions we felt comfortable enjoying a drink in the garden, under a parasol. On entering, there was no queue to be seated or at the bar, it felt very quiet indeed. We were met with a very frosty manner informing us they were fully booked and those seated outside were coming in as it was about to rain. We didn’t get an option to take a risk, we were just told, no way, not today! We left, feeling very uncomfortable. Viva Lounge made us very welcome and we had the choice to sit inside or out. Seeing as the sun was shining we sat outside and enjoyed our wine. Not one drop of rain. Won’t be going back to the Brewhouse. Suggest the lady brushes up on her customer service skills and takes a different approach or change jobs!

Just returned from a visit to Brewhouse and Kitchen in Southbourne. Queued at the front and gave my details for track and trace. Only to sit in the outside space and see 20+ people during the hour we were there to walk through the open back gates. Raised the issue with member of the team and they just shrugged their shoulders and said nothing they could do. How about closing the enclosed carpark, shutting the gate and placing a member of staff there to stop people just strolling in otherwise what’s the point of the efforts at the front? It’s not good enough to collect only a proportion of your visitors details for track and trace to work.

Booked in for a gin tasting master class with Lisa. She was absolutely brilliant and very knowledgeable. Great history and information about the gin but more importantly 5 amazing gins to try! I have now left with a new favourite. There were 3 of us and we had such a great evening, would highly recommend this bar and the gin tasting experience with Lisa, I would definitely return!

I booked at a table at the brewhouse in July 2020 for 2pm for my birthday celebrations in August. This establishment is very well equipt when it comes to Covid restrictions, far better than other pubs. We were very well looked after and our server Laura was excellent, so friendly and really attentive. At one point we were 'served with notice' and told we had to leave by 6.30 as someone else had booked the table (we were not told of a time limit when we booked) however the manager very swiftly moved some tables around to accommodate us with no issues at all. I have to say all of all of the pubs we have been to since lockdown ended this is the most careful and seem to take things seriously without it being to restrictive. I really enjoyed my night at the brewhouse and would definately recommend this pub

Decided to go to Brewhouse on a whim for a casual drink and it ended up being a few drinks and a wonderful experience all round! We were greeted and taken care of by Abi and she was so lovely and helpful! Definitely be back another time for food on her recommendations!

We did this for a birthday treat and loved it. Not only were the beers varied and delicious but Eva was so knowledgeable. None of our questions were too much trouble and fortunately I made notes so I will remember our learnings for another day. A must do for beer lovers!

Had a lovely evening of drinks on Wednesday with some friends, the bartender Ben was very helpful and the drinks were excellent, highly recommend!

The scenery really complimented the scrumptious food that was served by two friendly and accommodating waitresses . The food servings were good and full fo flavour. The staff kept there distance unlike some other restaurants which was nice. Overall it was an amazing experience and a very quirky pub full of character . I highly recommend for all the Family!

The best brewhouse we have been to, it’s our local and we love it! Food is always perfect and there is a great range of drinks. We ate out tonight as part of the eat out to help out (amazing value!) so was very busy but our server Connie was really friendly and cheery. The food arrived in good time and was perfect. Was a bit disappointed that they had ran out of Mac and cheese so I guess we will have to go back ASAP!

Probably the best B&K. Great steam punk interior. Copper brewing vessels in the middle of the pub. Huge but not soulless - used to be 2 separate pubs. Excellent cask beer and some different keg beer and lager too. Good pub fare - burgers got 9/10 from teenage boys. I gave fish & chips 9/10 as well. Best to book for food during covid due to kitchen capacity. Even better value during eat out August!

1st meal out post lock down and a great and pleasant experience, felt very safe and social distancing demonstrated perfectly! Our server Katie was funny and helpful and kept the whole experience enjoyable! Even for my Pepsi filled child!

First night in a Southbourne and we found the Brewhouse very welcoming. Joys of Covid meant social distancing but it still had atmosphere. Between the four us we tried burgers, ribs, pretzels and gammon, all good quality. Beer is first rate and we came home with a mini keg! Well worth a visit.

The atmosphere very relaxed and the service was amazing, the food was brilliant. I did send my soup back as it was too cold for my liking. But the waitress Abi dealt with it immediatley and returned with a hot soup which was very tasty

Great service all week from Lauren. Lovely place for a few beers and some food. Would recommend to friends and family.

Never been to a Brewhouse before so wasn't sure what to expect, had a few problems using the app so ordered at the bar where I was served by a lovely handsome man with a brown hair and a nose ring who took my order straight away. Will definitely be returning! Great selection of drinks too mmmm yummy

We stayed in a flat above the restaurant for two nights and ended up eating here both nights. Outstanding food - you've got to have the beer can chicken! - and service (special shout out to Abi for being amazing). The place itself is huge and airy and very comfortable. Next time we're in the area we will definitely be back.

Visited this pub/restaurant with my family the first time after lockdown has been lifted. The hygiene standards were great and social distancing I felt met good measures with other guests. Although, we did visit on a busy evening therefore our food and drink did take longer to arrive our servers were really understanding and gave us everything needed and extra to make up for the wait, not to mention the food and drink itself were were worth the wait! All I can say is thanks to the the waitresses that helped so much and went out of their way abby and gracey I think their names were.
