This pub is an absolute gem in Bournemouth. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a warm and cosy atmosphere. The lighting, with its hanging lamps, creates just the right level of ambience—soft yet sufficient. The upper floor, accessible by a staircase, offers a great view of the lower level, adding a sense of openness to the space. The menu has recently been updated, and I must say, it’s a fantastic improvement. I had the Crafthouse Signature Burger, Big Cheese Waffle Fries, and Buttermilk Chicken Tenders—all excellent, but the burger and chicken tenders stood out. The Crafthouse Signature Burger is easily one of the best in Bournemouth. The patty was incredibly juicy and tender, cooked to perfection with a beautifully seared crust. The brioche bun was complementing the texture of the burger perfectly. The only slight downside was that the mustard was a bit overpowering, making it harder to fully appreciate the craft sauce, but overall, it was still a top-tier burger. The waffle fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, just as they should be. The buttermilk chicken tenders had an amazing crunch while remaining moist and flavourful inside—some of the best I’ve had. The drinks selection is equally impressive. I tried their Branksome Nitro Stout, and it was spot on—rich, creamy, and silky smooth, with just the right balance of coffee and chocolate notes. Service was outstanding, with a friendly and knowledgeable team. A special thanks to James, who was incredibly attentive and gave great recommendations. His insights into both the food and beer made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a place in Bournemouth that combines a great pub atmosphere with seriously good food, this is the spot. Highly recommended!

Poor selection of beers for a brewpub (a few unavailable) and staff didn't seem particularly bothered.

We went there for a Beer and Whisky master class . James was our host and did a very good job explaining the different types of beer and whiskies.

The Branksome is a recently refurbished venue. It was previously Brewhouse and Kitchen, in the triangle, Bournemouth. We had our English /Español language exchange meetup where was the brewery and we enjoy a private space to share our meeting in a very good atmosphere and customer service. The Branksome is well located, close to the Poole Hill bus station. We will continue to have our Meetups there.

Highly recommend this wonderful craft house, I came with my fiancé for dinner and was absolutely blown away by the food! I had the Mac Daddy Burger (two 3oz patties, Mac n cheese crispy onions and BBQ sauce) with an IPA battered onion ring on top! This was mouth watering, so much flavour and cooked to perfection! My fiancé had buttermilk chicken and waffles (crunchy fried buttermilk chicken with Belgian waffles) with hot chilli honey…just wow! It really works the flavours are incredible the sweet with the savoury!! And we shared some dirty waffle fries with craft beer cheese sauce and crispy smoked bacon! 1000% I will be returning and spreading the word to all my friends and family! Staff were brilliant and friendly! James came over and explained in detail how they made their food and what goes into them and the process just wonderful service thank you James!

If you like your beef thickly sliced and very well done then you might enjoy the Sunday lunch, if you like it pink and tender, don't go in here.

This was our first visit to the B&K in the triangle and we were very impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great as usual. The place itself was really atmospheric almost like a olde world pub and the gardens were superb. Altogether a place really worth another visit.

AWFUL DEFINITELY AVOID! ! 9 of us had food. 6 ordered roast chicken. When it arrived, they had ran out of stuffing (this was at 12.30!!) the 3 roast potatoes were tiny frozen ones, kale cabbage was raw, Yorkshire puddings were flat and not cooked properly, had to ask for more gravy! Really not worth the £16.95 at all. 1 ordered beef and ale pie, which was also awful. The ale pie was far too rich in flavour of ale, and the mash was lumpy with too much butter, that was oozing from the potato. When you pay that sort of price for a roast, you expect freshly roasted potatoes, and vegetables. We did complain, but, as you pay up front, all the barman did was apologize, and admit it was frozen potatoes. Never again

I wouldn't say it was the best sunday toast in town ... It was okay. Wanted the cider brazed pork belly but they didn't have it. So had to settle for chicken... Airco turned on too which cooled down my food considerably.

Best place to drink in Bournemouth. Worth taking an extra walk up the hill to this place for beer, food and knowledgeable staff. We called in on a Saturday lunchtime, and had three different focaccia sandwiches (fish goujons, chicken and beef with onions) - all excellent. Some beers brewed onsite, but if you find them a little dull, try the Belgian on tap (La Chouffe session ale 4.5). The staff will ensure you are well looked after. Plenty of different seating available, inside and out. Overall, excellent.

1st class knowledgeable service for drinks and food. Great terraced garden. Dog and children friendly. Water for the dog. Offers on kids meals. Could not fault this place. Highly recommended and well worth the walk from the beach front!

Wasn't very busy on a Bank holiday Monday but they served a nice cold pilsner which was really refreshing.

As regular customers since it first opened - we live 2 mins away, we have seen the decline in the last year or so. From the now very loud, questionable choice of music in the pub killing any conversation or atmosphere; to the rat infestation in the garden. We find ourselves thinking twice before stepping in, then being disappointed with the experience time and again. On the other hand, the beer and food are still great.

Delicious food and lovely terrace

I went for the Beer and Whisky pairing with my Dad as a belated Birthday present. Josh was our host and gave us a great experience with lots of insight into the pairings. The food and drinks were of high quality and I’d definitely recommend this to others.

I went yesterday to Brewhouse and kitchen for the first time. I absolutely loved the ambience and customer service. There are plenty of lovely places to choose for sitting inside or out on the backyard. I really recommend this place and thanks for reading👏🙏🏻👏

Name says it all. Not a classic pub but our own beer (very tasty) and even Augustiner Helles on the menu (bottle). Food typical of an English pub, nothing exceptional but ok and tasty. No culinary highlights, but okay. Very friendly service. Interesting men's toilet. Nice beer garden behind the house. Overall, highly recommended for Bournemouth.

Stopped here randomly for a Sunday dinner. Got fitted in, seated quickly by a lovely waitress. Drinks and food served quickly with helpful input from the staff. Really enjoyed the food. Perfectly cooked. Prob one of the best meals we've had in a while.

Sadly not the best experience. We ordered three meals with another three small plates. The three plates consisting of onion rings, ham croquettes and chips came out first. The chips were ok the other two were extremely over cooked. The pie and mash came out second and again the pie was over cooked. The two Caesar salads came out 20mins later ????? We wanted chicken Caesar but was told there was no chicken. An extremely poor showing for the kitchen and manager. Our salads were taken off the bill and was also given free puddings but we had only put two hours on the parking so sadly did not have time for those. Very disappointed

Steak Frites was a disappointment. No Garlic whatsoever despite it being mentioned in the menu. Also wait at the bar on both rounds was silly.

Uncomfortable, reasonable prices, good food, good service.

We visited while on holiday and first impressions were excellent, we ordered at the bar as the app was not working, and were told after ordering (and paying) that certain items were not available. We ordered alternatives which were not as expensive and were not even offered the difference back or any acknowledgement that we had now overpaid. The food was average, slightly burnt cold burger buns and all the meals were just a bit plain overall. Definitely deserve the 3 stars for the decor and lovely atmosphere of the place.

Had lunch with friends, ordered via a QR code, and asked if I wanted to leave a tip before I'd even or sean any staff. Food came pretty quick but table seemed slow to be cleared.

The chap who I assume was the manager on the Saturday for six nations as top notch. Walking around the pub chatting to patrons and checking everything was OK

A very nice initiative! We thought the prices in the food menu were a bit much compared to what we have seen in the area around but the ales and the crisps were amazing! Very nice masterclasses for beer and whiskey lovers and again exquisite ales!!!

It's a great pub I visited two years ago. Last year in November when I came it was closed, I am coming in 10 days and I am very happy. Great staff

Beer was good and that’s where it ends…. Food was awful, nachos served cold, burnt ends were like rubber and the onion rings were clearly not cooked in hot oil. Kitchen staff need better training. Won’t order food again

Love this place and come here frequently, definitely worth going to if you’re in the triangle area. Grant is lovely and always really helpful and accommodating also with beer recommendations. Well decorated and a nice garden and fire pit.

Waiter managed to spill drinks on two separate occasions over myself and another guest. Food was good but slightly underwhelming given the price and it was disappointing that we only found out upon arrival that we were meant to have pre-ordered for the Christmas menu, it would have been nice to have been informed of this in advance!

The staff were lovely, helpful and very friendly. The food was to a good standard and it was a lovely touch that we were provided with a few extra pigs in blankets as the Chef was unhappy about how the stuffing (which there was nothing wrong with) had turned out. All in all, a lovely experience.

Came for a beer waited 30 minutes at the bar, Bar staff wouldn't serve anyone who wasn't with one party, so we left. Update: Came for a roast on a Sunday and specifically booked a table here for a Sunday roast for a group of 7. On arrival we're told they were no longer doing roasts. Decide to get a drink while we find another venue, they are out of their flagship Legend Lager, requested the next closest thing to a lager and essentially received a stout. Ask for no ice in our coke and get a look like I had just shot their cat. Honestly in my opinion the worst brewhouse in the country I don't understand how they can be so different (The Southbourne one is great go there instead)

Booked in for Sunday lunch but were advised on arrival that you were not serving Sunday roasts, so went elsewhere.

First time visiting the brewery had a lovely pint and we both enjoyed out lunch highly recommended.

Das Essen wirkte wie samt Teller im Ofen aufgewärmt. Eine einzige Biersorte war lecker. Der Service sehr lustlos. Aber die Deko an der Wand war hübsch.

Wir waren zu viert hier und und haben das Essen generell als unterdurchschnittlich empfunden. Zum Bier: Es ist mir ein Rätsel, wieso man ein Bier („Lightning Bolt“) ohne Fruchtaromen und mit nur 4 Prozent Alkohol als IPA deklariert. Das spricht nicht dafür, dass diejenigen, die die Getränkekarte erstellt haben, auch Ahnung von Bier haben. In der App wurde es mit 5,5 Prozent aufgeführt, ansonsten hätte ich es nicht bestellt…

Kann ebenfalls nur sagen, Bier und Ambiente sind richtig gut, beim Essen ist ganz viel Luft nach oben, vorsichtig formuliert. Sorry.

I’m a fan of Brewhouse and Kitchen. Wherever I go always try if there’s any branch of it. But this one is really cool. Friendly and cool staff, great service, beautiful ambience, plenty of seating and nice drinks. After a very long walk, I had really good and relaxing time there. Thanks to the staff team 👍

Went on Saturday 2nd Sept 23 for dinner. There was five of us. There was only about 9 people in the whole bar ( including us ). Toilets were very dirty. Paper everywhere. The three members of staff were too busy eating food at the bar to even bother looking at us. We used the app to get served. The food was not good. Chicken burned and the bbq sauce was squirted on the top like a large poo on it. All five dishes were made without a care from the kitchen. The table opposite us did not get the dishes cleaned in all the time we was there. We even cleared our own table after eating. An amazing looking venue and lots of money spent on it. The owners definitely need to do some secret diners on this venue if they wish it to stay in business

First time here. Decent beers and a wide selection . Food was generously portioned and well priced. Great BIG beer garden around me the back. Lots of benches as well as beach huts!

Schöne Location, Bier günstig, Essen naja, der Hunger treibt es rein. Der Salat meiner Freundin hat schon bessere Tage gesehen. Das Garlic Bread ist nicht zu empfehlen, anfangs denkt man naja für englische Verhältnisse in Ordnung, danach denkt man, es wurde vorher mit Wasser eingerieben. Dass Blauschimmelkäse in den Pommes ist, hätte ich lesen müssen. Trotzdem eine Schande, dass sowas auf der Karte steht. Viele Grüße Komme wieder aufgrund des günstigen Bieres.

Unfortunately we arrived and the smell was sooooo bad we couldn't even stand around in there, we tried to get the attention of the lady behind the bar to let her know we had arrived but wasnt staying but she didn't even acknowledge us so we just left. Shame as the menu looked good.

We did the beer tasting experience and it was really fun! Loads of seating inside and outside and loads of great drinks to try! The staff and manager were really friendly as well and it was a great experience! Would definitely do it again and the food was great!

Nice bar located on Poole Hill, decorated well throughout, a micro brewery with its own ales, lagers etc., the men's toilets had very little or no hand gel, snd the floor was very wet when I visited. It does food aell as drinks and does a burger and beer for £10.95.

Though the food was good, the service was just not there for a 4.4-star restaurant. Some of the staff made an effort, however, overall I was disappointed - we had to order via app or at the bar for food as no table service, though the table next to us had the same server take an order (in an empty dining area), a jug of water was a rinsed out Jack Daniel's bottle and had to refill ourselves as no-one was checking in. 4 bar staff and 1 waiter...just seemed an all bit disjointed.

Not the best experience, beer was great and good banter from the barman but 7 pound a pint was much steeper than we are used too and a clear 2 pound more a pint than our local microbrewery. Food unfortunately was poor, my wife and I got a focaccia sandwich and the bread was under cooked and super stodgy. Chips were 2 pound for a small pot and hideously salty. Wish we read the reviews ahead of going as poor food was raised in several recent reviews and we would agree. Its a shame as the same chain in Cheltenham was outstanding, but sadly not this one.

A good place, we were a big group of 18 people. They looked after us, food ok, good food for large group but not amazing. Dishes with gravy not great - very sweet. Salad good. And beer-can chicken good. A large venue with lots of side rooms. Have fun.

I had a chicken salad which was described with croutons and cheese. Both was missing on my salad. I had red onions instead. Im allergic against raw onions. I ate lettuce with tomatoes and tiny bits of chicken. The salad sauce was good The atmosphere alright. No one asked if everything was alright or I would have told them. Very disappointed and I wanted to go there couple of times during next days. But need to find something else now.
