Lazy Fox in Bournemouth

Went here for the first time last night and I think it’s a bit overhyped. The food was very average, nothing special and extremely expensive. The food wasn’t even hot, it was Luke warm. The cocktails were filled with ice to a point that my straw couldn’t even get to the bottom of the glass because there was so much ice. Completely overpriced, nearly £13 for a fancy cup filled with ice. The service was also very basic and slow yet they believe it warranted adding on a £12 service charge.

I’ve been forced to come here by friends who like this sort of fried food. I don’t. It’s Just fast food like burgers and chips they chuck in the deep fat fryer, all adding to the obesity crisis and heart disease. Most of their customers shouldn’t be eating burgers at all. These sorts of ‘restaurant’ are incapable of providing any healthy food. They don’t understand what it is. Won’t be coming again.

Would not recommend anyone going here as the staff are very un welcoming and rude! Especially the one with the glasses as she spoke to people like animals!

We dined in, and although the food wasn't terrible, it was magnificent either. It's very average and further down the road is a better place to eat. The burger bun was soggy, and the hot dog sausage wasn't well cooked. Nachos were good, though! Staff were also very friendly, and the atmosphere was nice and chilled.

This place is a little gem. Great food, great service. We checked to see if they were dog friendly, and that was a yes. All round great experience with them will be visiting again when we are here.

Food was cold left on top of counter in plain view. Staff brushed us off trying to say its not their fault. Manager did nothing.

Had lunch out when we were in Bournemouth as we had been recommended the lazy fox 🦊,the food was delicious and tasty. Would highly rate this place if your looking for a different type of burger.

The burgers are sooooo good!! Recommend the choice bro!! Was a little slow to be served than usual which cost a star but everyone was polite and friendly and the food was worth it!

Always delicious. On the expensive side once you have ordered all sides and drinks but a good treat once in a while.

Food was lovely. Buffolo chicken wings and rustic fries are highly recommended. Went for a birthday and received a complementary brownie dessert which was very kind

If you want the best burger in town come to this place. It will not disappoint. Service is great. Don't be put of by prices, they're 100% worth it, and you will be coming back 😊 I suggest you try the pulled pork fries, and the burger with the egg on top. Also they do the best cocktails. Love the one that looks like blood in a bag, it's a funny prop and it tastes amazing. Can't recommend enough!

what a Culinary Masterpiece I had the pleasure of dining at the Lazy Fox last night, and I can't stop raving about the experience. From start to finish, it was an absolute culinary masterpiece. The ambience was delightful; the warm, inviting decor set the perfect mood for an evening of gastronomic delight. The attentive staff made us feel right at home, and their knowledge of the menu and wine pairings was exceptional. Now, onto the food! Every dish was a work of art. We started with the Teques, which was a burst of flavours and textures that left our taste buds tingling with delight. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite. For the main course, I had the Massive, and it was nothing short of perfection. The presentation alone was stunning, and the taste surpassed all expectations. My dining wife opted for the after-party, and we couldn't resist swapping bites because everything was just so incredibly delicious. Dessert was the grand finale, and it was the perfect ending to our meal. The biscoff cheesecake was a sweet symphony of flavours that left us both in awe. In addition to the outstanding cuisine, the wine selection was impeccable, and our server's recommendations were spot on. It elevated our dining experience to a whole new level. I can't say enough about the lazy fox. It's evident that the chefs and the entire team are passionate about their craft. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this is the place to be. I can't wait to return and savour more of their culinary delights. I can easily say that is the best berger place I've visited so far.

First visit and we will definitely be going back. The quaility is above and beyoned expectations. Good enough to order some for takeaway. Decent plant based options that live up to their meatier counterparts. Lovely staff. All round a really nice little find.

The food was okay. It's a no frills burger and chip place that's more pricey than it should be. The burgers were okay, if nothing special, and the chips the usual generic type. The sticky toffee dessert was very dense and dry, and not very nice. The drinks elevate the experience. There's a good selection of interesting things on offer., but the service was slow and we weren't asked how things were as they were busy. I wanted to like the place as it had a decent atmosphere, but the food just wasn't that good.

The place is good and the burgers taste is really good, however they are small in size. However, I would go back. The service is great and the decoration is very creative.

Amazing place, kind waiters and wonderful food, I really liked the ultra hot sauce and probably the hottest I ever tasted (which is what I was looking for) and it got me sweating (lol). Anyhow, amazing food, kind and helpful waiters, cheap prices and great atmosphere with its chill music and lovely decorations make a perfect place even for loners like me to have a good meal

Always a great burger here, went for the seasonal special The Protein Burger, incredible blend of tastes and pork belly that just melted in your mouth.

Came here for a friend’s birthday recently and whilst the food and drinks were great, the service was dismal… the waiter we had was quite grumpy (which I guess we can all be grumpy now and then but in a job like that you put on a face for your customers)… so that kind of ruined our first experience at the lazy fox and I don’t think I’ll be dining there again

Incredible burgers and tequenos. I visited with my wife and she was so happy to see Tequenos on the menu (Venezuelan food)

The food was absolutely incredible and the cocktails were lovely too. Service was a bit slow but we weren't in any rush so we didn't mind

Lugar muy acogedor, con una decoración muy urbana y cuidada. Tienen una amplia carta, y sus hambuesas son exquisitas, hacen cócteles increíbles y apetitosos. Y su chesscake de lotus ... Es una auténtica delicia. El personal muy atento, rápido y dispuestos a orientarte, cuando no sabes que pedir. Un lugar de paso obligado para probar sus delicias.

Food was acceptable but expensive considering what was offered. Cocktails very bad, just sprite with ice basically. Far from acceptable and expensive This american idea of pre-adding the tip to the bill, That is far from okey, you will NOT choose what I think you deserve, thats my decision NOT GOING BACK Comida de calidad aceptable, pero cara considerando lo ofrecido. Los cocteles inaceptables (no me gusta pagar 10 libras por sprite con hielo llamado mojito. Casi sin alcohol ni sabor) Por ultimo, esta mania americana de verse obligado a pagar propina incluida en la cuenta tambien es inaceptable. Yo oagaré lo que considere que se merece y si quiero (no tomen la decision por mi) NO VOLVERE.

I came in because I knew the lazy fox was dog friendly. The server walked me through the specials. I ordered a burger. It was delicious. I have shared my experience with a large dog group of 50+ people so I hope that generates a bit of business for the lazy 🦊

Really nice food - honestly the best burger I’ve ever had. Been on 3 occasions and food has always come quickly and service efficient and friendly. Just watch out for the “coke” on the menu - it didn’t taste like either coke or Pepsi unfortunately but wasn’t terrible.

This place is awesome ! burgers are lush. Wish it was closer to home. Good selection of drinks. Good atmosphere both inside and in the outside seating area.

My dad said it was the best burger he'd ever had. He's 87 so that must mean something. Food was great. Very entertaining cocktails, they do a wonderful job with presentation. They did a great job with the decor, and enjoyed the ambiance they've managed to create. Will certainly be back. I've got to try their 999-fox cocktail.

One of the best burgers & cocktail I've ever had! Great menu with lots to choose from, esp for vegetarians. Amazing cocktail served uniquely. My only disappointment was the service was TOO quick. Food came so fast we didn't have time to enjoy the atmosphere, almost felt like fast food rather than a meal out.

It’s okay. Prices are quite high & you don’t, for example, get chips with your burger, they have to be purchased separately. Chips arrived cold too. Staff weren’t great. Almost like you were a nuisance to be there. We also were a large group and had to work our bill out ourselves. However, on our way out we got told by the servers (rather abruptly) that our bill was short by around £2. We paid this, but I was disappointed to see that a service charge had been added so this £2 was evidently to cover this. The staff could have just not said anything for the sake of £2. Overall, would not return. (Visited in December. Felt the need to review now as I have had friends asking for my opinion on this place.)

Highly recommend eating here if your visiting or live in Bournemouth. The burgers are very tasty, good size and value for money. We was a party of 11 and didn't have to wait long for either our drinks or food and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We tried quite a few side dishes which also all had good flavours complementing the burger. A very good experience overall and would certainly come back!! Well done Lazy Fox 👏🏼

Sticky, wobbly tables, overcharged for drinks we didn’t have, and the final nail in the coffin is a service charge being added when buying drinks at the bar! Not a great experience.

Easily the best burger I've ever had (and I've had alot) beats any major chain or smaller chains in the area, or any other burger I've had. Also the chicken wings are incredible and the cocktail and drinks options are amazing. 10/10 will be back (everyday if I could)

Went at lunchtime on a Friday. Very tasty burger, thought sides could be a little cheaper though. Overall excellent.

Oh we've had such a good time. Service was excellent and we ordered Ceaser Salads which were just perfect. We also ordered halloumi popcorn with beautiful sauce and nice wine. Definitely looking forward to come back when we are more hungry to taste their burger selection. The only thing a bit disappointing is price for a glass of wine is very costly even though not an expensive wine. For example I've had a glass of South African Chardonnay which cost £8.20 to order and the price per bottle in the shop is a bit over £7 so that does not make any sense. Other than that absolutely loved it. Second time visit just for a drink with a friend and ordered beers and super loaded fries. Delicious!

Quick service and very hospitable staff. Burgers were fantastic and fries were great too. We had difficulty finishing our fries so definitely recommend sharing between two people. Space was a little cramped but general atmosphere and surroundings was great also.

I cannot describe how out of this world the burgers are. We ordered delivery one night and were amazed how fresh and tasty. I could get into it but basically, never had a burger like that before.

Wow! Absolutely fabulous little place! Food is brilliant and with an exquisite range of cocktails which makes for a good laugh. Staff are amazing and create a pretty lively atmosphere...definitely one for the must see list!

The food was good, the desert very small for the price, the massive burger (£17) just for the burger though tasty it did not match the price. The drawing on the menu shows a huge burger... It was not. The skinny fries with truffle and garlic mayo were lovely but again these were £8.50 for a medium sized portion. The kids meal is good value at £7 but it was just a burger pattie a slice of cheese and a bun. The veggie burger was the same size as the kids burger and it was £11. It tasted nice but again the price did not match the portion size. Overall we spent £100 on a meal for 2 adults and a toddler. We had 1 starters 1 desert 1 milkshake (£9.50) and 1 Pina colada(£11!) On top of our mains. And tap water. The place is lovely and cozy, it allows dogs which is nice and the food is good but we would not rush back when comparing with other local restaurants with food quality/ size/ cost.

Well food is amazing, but didn’t like the delivery and attitude of the staff. Just ordered today hotdog, sweet potatoes fries, and chicken wings, paid extra to add more sauces and cheese as requested, didn’t received any went back to show the proof I paid, really not satisfied. I wish I could give zero stars… Spent £93.00 on a delivery order, they did not follow one special order request, the burgers we asked for plain came with everything in them, the hotdog solid and overcooked, the food was stone cold, sloppy, greasy and poorer quality than a kebab shop… What an absolute dissapointment, you should be ashamed.

I have an idea of how I want filthy burgers and dirty fries to taste - this is the first time in my life it's actually tasted -just right-. Also, despite having a burger and a side, I didn't leave feeling uncomfortably full. Just nicely cheesy. I'll definitely be back!

First time ordering from here...delivery was quick and the driver came straight from the restaurant to our address (could see on deliveroo) ...it was tasty but all the food was cold on arrival, the hot dog was stone cold all the way through and very hard (I actually just ate the bread, toppings, chips and left the meat) ...given the food was so cold and hard it didn't appear to have been freshly made for us
