Brewers Fayre Old West Quay in Hartlepool

Sunday lunch was incredibly busy as usual. Yet the staff remained upbeat & friendly. Lesley & the manager were lovely and helpful and even made time to stop at our table for a quick chat. The carvery was so yummy, as it always is. The gentleman serving at the carvery was, as always, so sweet and chatty and very funny. Nothing was too much for any of the staff, they all smiled and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you everyone for yet another all round great experience.

I stay next door regularly and the bar was canny so I waited to get my meal deal when I got my steak it was sublime exactly how I wanted it, and it was great I understand it was busy as far as other waiting to get drinks or food or drinks but worth the wait as management holly and collette were attentive to me during this time. My first visit will definitely be back when I do a stop over tfank you. Ps that steak was define. 100%

23/10/2024 We came as a small family unit and great as allways we ordered steak medium rare for me and the hubby and fish bites for the kids we were happy with our meal but my little one diddent get his corn on cob. You were busy but the chef ran in out to my son so he was happy he was very polite and nice fella With a beard. Thank you for how you spoke to my son as hes on the spectrum. Full marks my husband said his sirloin steak was cooked to perfection will ne back November with family

Got seated straight away, made them aware of my dairy intolerance, Amy the manager came over to explain the allergy folder. Went over got food and drinks, Great service also from Debbie the other manager. They both went above and beyond to help. Food was lovely. Would highly recommend.

We ate here as part of a meal deal whilst staying at the premier inn, next door. All you can eat cooked and continental breakfast(or both), a two course evening meal, including a drink, + a third course for £2 if you could manage it! Great choice, good quality food, and at a bargain price. Staff are absolutely spot on!

I ordered the build your own pizza which gives a choice of 3 toppings so I ordered peperoni, ham and chicken. I ordered a sirloin steak for the wife, she wanted jacket potato and beans to accompany it. The meals arrived and the beans were in the smallest pot you will ever see, I am not exaggerating when I say there was maximum of 30 baked beans in it, my wife tipped them on her potato and it looked laughable, I got the attention of a waitress and said is this meagre amount of beans all you get when you order a £15 steak? She looked and apologised, looking totally embarrassed and said I think they have gave you the wrong pot, it was changed for a good big bowl full. Because I was sorting this out, I had eat about 1/3 of my pizza before I noticed that there was no chicken on, just peperoni and ham, so either the cook can't count or they had ran out, if it was the latter I should have been asked if I wanted something different on. I decided just to eat the pizza as there was no waitress about, when someone came to clear our plates ahead asked if everything was OK, so I informed her of the missing topping, I said just for your information so as not to be repeated for other diners, she did apologise. As it happened I had an email code for 40% off our meals, if I had paid full price I would not have been so patient. They definitely need to up their game.

We went for Paul's carvery and as usual it was great, the meat was cooked just right,Anne was very helpful as always even with it being really busy,we also stayed in the Premier inn overnight which also great the staff are so friendly and helpful great place to stay.

Really not good. Drinks served in warm glasses. We ordered a mixed grill with steak cooked medium. It was definitely well done. Eggs over cooked and very greasy. The spring onion and chilli that came on the nachos were probably fresh in 1998. I ordered a coffee but it's only refill coffee so one black coffee £3.25. No value for money. Poor poor presentation. We said we wouldn't eat here again the last time we came but decided to try again. Really this time never again.

The kid enjoyed playing and the food was prompt and hot. The lady mandy was so helpful and even gave me advice in regards to birthday parties

Service was great, till staff even told us how to order our food so that it was cheaper and came under a deal that we hadn't realised. Food was lovely, no complaints at all and out quick as always! Our little girl played in the play area and staff again were lovely, talking and playing with her. Helping her climb and showing her how to do things she wasn't sure of. Overall ovely meal out, would definatly reccommend especially for family's and we will be back again soon! Thank you everyone!

Just had a fab meal at the Old West Quay. All the staff were very friendly, especially Paul at the bar. The food was very tasty. Will definitely be back again.

Staff friendly, sadly the restaurant had no lemonade or orange juice which was rather disappointing for a Premier Inn Brewers Fayre, we booked a table in advance for 6 persons. There were a lot of tables not clean for prolonged periods with left over plates and cutlery on them not cleared. It was somewhat upsetting for the teenage children in our party who were ordering adult meals also and they never stopped mentioning it, a restaurant with no lemonade or orange, the children actually thought the staff were joking when refused lemonade AND then orange, surely no!

Great customer service from all staff especailly angela would recmomend to friends and family to come for food. Food is always lovely

Very friendly service from Jake and fast service. The food is what you expect never going to win masterchef but not going to leave you starving unlike a £60.00 main course of 1 prawn half a carrot and a smear of 1000 island dressing you would probably get at a Michelin starred restaurant.

When my husband and I arrived, the reception staff were welcoming and kind. When we went to the Brewers Fayre we were welcomed by Ginge (Amy) she is a very up beat confident person who liked a joke which made you feel very relaxed and welcome, so was Paul the barman. Lauren served us, and also liked a joke and was very attentive, made our meal a very pleasant experience. When our food arrived it was perfect . It was lovely our rare steak cooked to perfection thankyou Martin. We will definitely be coming back again .

We stayed at the Premier Inn and ate there for Dinner and Breakfast. The staff were amazing so attentive and nothing was too much trouble, especially the young man behind the bar, he made us feel so welcome. Stayed at the premier inn for a karate competition and the staff were fabulous in the pub for breakfast, came in an hour early to make sure we had everything and were so lovely with us all especially the children. What fantastic dedicated staff!!!

This is a great place to come for food especially with the children as the softplay area is great to keep entertained.
