Best place around, decent food. Let you taste the beer which is good

The most modern-feeling pub in Upminster, with a friendly environment and spacious seating. The rooftop bar was closed when I visited, so I'm not sure what that's like. Seemed very dog-friendly, and had a range of different seating from normal tables to tall tables, plus sofas with coffee tables. Staff were friendly and helpful too, and we're polite and courteous and gave plenty of notice when they needed us to vacate a table for a reservation.

Wonderful bar, so close to the station and an amazing venue. Beers on tap were a great selection and the staff were warm and lovely!

Really beautiful and well maintained bar. Service and selection was just wonderful and food right at the top of Brewdog bars quality. Any excuse to come here and I’ll take it.

Great service and a nice roof bar for the summer

Have visited here a couple of times, a great place for a social drink with a great atmosphere and friendly service. Dog friendly, they also do comedy nights too.

Been here a few times now and I will definitely be coming back. Lily who served us was so helpful & friendly, 5 stars are just for her service alone. Food was really good. It’s a lively busy place and staff are waiting on a lot of tables. Full credit to them, they manage it really well.

Service terrible , trying to do wings waiting over 30 min for wings between so could do as much as you can eat as kitchen was going to close

Food & atmosphere fab. Service today was sadly very very poor. 50 min wait for 2 cold desserts. Hot food ,starters & mains delivered within 30mins then the long wait .

What a disappointment waited 50mins for the food. the whole food was oily, chicken was overcooked, onion rings were dripping in oil have to send them back, didn’t get no refund or apology. Poor hospitality overall worse experience ever.

1st time visit, restaurant was freezing cold (maybe the air con was blowing directly at our table) Main complaint was that ALL CHICKEN BURGERS ARE MADE FROM THIGH MEAT! This is not written on the menu any where. In fact a manager told us we should scan the allergy advice to find out what the burgers were made of! On scanning this it does not even say what chicken is used. Some of it was inedible and felt like gristle and the look of it turned my stomach! At no point were we told to scan a qr code for ingredients nor after booking the table with kids eat free were we told to choose of the kids section and not the kids hoppy meal. If you can advertise the nacho chicken burger as thigh meat then you should advertise ALL chicken burgers as thigh meat!

Beautiful place I can call my local, one downer, I lifted my hand to to get the attention (didn't kicled my fingers) to ask a question about the comedy night they are doing, but one of the staff put me down straight away saying "You never do that to the bar staff!!" Where did I go wrong? I'm never the person to complain but the the way I was treated it was almost personal. I'm sorry and I understand it was busy but come on!!

Always a great night.. The staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is so welcoming. The roof top bar is a great venue on a warm evening. I always feel like family when I go in.. My go to place for a catch up with old friends a pre drink before clubbing or a sneaky lunch

Group of 15 of us from Romford Gospel Plant had a great evening. Wings were delicious, staff were attentive without being overbearing.

If you are to do table service, then do it properly. We came for lunch on a Saturday and were told to find a table upstairs. There, once we checked out the menu, we approached the guy at the bar to order. He told us that he would come to our table to take the order. He never did… After around 15mins we decided to leave, and as we were leaving and passing the bar, he then stupidly asked “are you ready to order now?”…

Went with 4 children ages 1 to 7 and 4 adults. They accommodated us well. Nice bar.

Very busy on a Saturday night. Most tables reserved. Pleased with the free Black Heart offer for exchange of a Guinness glass. Nice selection of beers. Overall ok but prefer it in the week when it's quieter. (Went on a Saturday night)

Great atmosphere, great selection of ales and burgers to boot. This place also has the footy on the TV as well.

We went with family and it was very good, the service is perfect, there was a high chair for 2 little ones and there was also a solution for certain wishes. The food was delicious and served quickly despite the crowds. We were very satisfied and hope to come back again.

They don't serve alcohol before noon, but still managed a great welcome and chatted about options to collect brewdog stamps

My favourite member of bar staff is the young Asian guy who works here. I don't know his name but he does a great job for customers at Brewdog Upminster.

We booked for the burger offer online nice place service was not great as we were overcharged never got the offer. We had to provide the email we got from brewdog for the deal which i found strange. 🤨 I won't be returning here. 😒

The newest Brewdog around and it has yet to settle in with the staff and the food. Beer is always good with a wide selection. Food is standard burger fare. Bar is child and dog friendly with a mixture of high tables, standard seat and easy chairs. Overall, the staff need to settle in to get to full Brewdog standards but I'm sure they will get there soon

Mediocre food at extortionate prices. Not worth your time. Update: lost a star because the company dropped their pledge to pay all employees a real living wage.

Great location nr the station. Food Menu - very good burgers. Chicken wings and salads available and a breakfast/brunch menu. Vegan options also. Nice atmosphere, clean - toilets upstairs (I did not see a lift for disabled customers)? We sat in a booth table which was really nice - I would recommend if you have a party of 5-6 people. Would eat here again - service was very good. If you drink ale/beer this is the place to go for sure!

First time in here, service was not good, staff were actually quite rude when demanding one of the only tables that hadn't been booked so they could take it over to make another longer... I won't be returning.

Very warm welcome from the manager, John. He was so helpful working out how best we could use both our son’s 25% student discount for their drinks and also an offer of the buy one burger, get one for £1. Food did take a while to come but was very tasty and enjoyable. We all drink Brewdog so it was lovely to enjoy fresh beers from the pumps rather than the usual cans at home. My son is a regular here and has always had a good experience. Really felt the manager went above and beyond and gave fantastic customer service - rare these days.

Awful rude staff. We enjoyed a couple of wines in here but saw staff being rude towards customers. Even saw them talking back to management and management just let them. This was great in the summer but if management can’t manage their staff there is no way they’ll run a successful business.

So, I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because of the location. But thats where it ends. If ever you want to go to the most boring town full of the most boring people drinking in the most boring pub, to listen to brats bragging and competing as to who has the most and who knows who ... then go to the Brewdog Upminster . The guffawing " first time out in years" stay at home mums drown out the bear bellied white collar buffoons who still think corduroys are trendy sip two pints and go on to act like silly school boys on their first alcohol outing since leaving school . The food was tasteless and similar to that from Iceland ( not the country) was luke warm at best . Beers were nice good selection . Very cold atmosphere . Needs a new owner and manager , better Brewdogs about . This was my honest findings of this Pub/eatery .

A bit if a crèche on Christmas Eve

Once again tried but this establishment just can’t get it right. Ordered food that didn’t come. Went to the wrong table. Not the first time. When complaining then confronted by your door staff. I don’t need this confrontation. I would prefer your staff or manager to resolve refunding. I live in upminster and have been to yours 10 times. . Plus. Why is your set up so bad. 4.2 rating is not a true representation of your pub. It’s dire. You have changed managers and staff how many times? I don’t expect a reply as this email will be another reflections of this pub. It used to be a bank and I can tell you now it was more exciting then than now. To anyone reading this post do your self a favour go elsewhere it’s the worst brew dog I have been in. The Co founders must be reading these posts and thinking what’s going wrong. To start change your door staff and welcome people. Secondly get a manager who can manage. It’s all in the word hospitality. What a joke.

Staff was fantastic and very welcoming food was amazing and such a wide range of drinks.

A succulent Jackpot burger, beef patty, chorizo, black pudding, blue cheese and BBQ sauce, for lunch, enjoyed with a pint of black heart stout. Service was friendly and efficient. Will be revisiting.tout

If Amazon was to open a pub this is what it would be like ! The Good - The beers are very good and free tasters are available to try before buying The Average - but the atmosphere is slightly sterile and it feels cold and unwelcoming whenever you visit even if busy and full of people . The Bad - staff are always trying to get you to stay in your ( booked) seats like in a aircraft and only of late have they acknowledged you if you stand at the bar trying to buy a pint without a table . The Ugly - cards only and stay in your seats or at table unless you want to be shunned and or ignored ! The very ugly - the food is atrocious and I mean all of it ! I have had most things on the menu and never enjoyed any of them with most being overcooked and dry especially the burgers ! That’s the real truth and the staff know all of this full well , but they are working for a corporation so you get what they have good bad average and ugly !

We had some lovely food today at brewdog. The food was very nice and the staff were friendly. A added bonus was that it is dog friendly!

Visited here with several friends as we all worked here at some stage when it was a NatWest. Superb choice of beer although most of us stuck with the Black Heart stout. Had some food too, burgers were very good. Started slow but ended the evening really busy so get there before 8 and book a table if you want to eat.

Nice and quiet..very light if u know what I mean... Pleasent atmosphere. Music and sports on big screen not intrusive.

First time I'd been to a Brewdog pub and the first thing that struck me was the enormous selection of beers and lagers. I'm not a great fan of Brewdog beers so went for the Black Heart stout. Really good, stayed on it all night. Also had a burger, very good, too. Quiet at 6, heaving by 8 so clearly popular. Lots of seating but best to book if you want to guarantee a seating area. Friendly staff, food service was a little slow but we ordered when it was busy. Had a great evening with friends, I'd go back.

Great place. I would recommend getting smaller drinks to try out more. And if you're hungry, certainly go for the Korean loaded fries, huge portion, and very tasty.

cant rate food but look good just went for a drink. love the fact they have games about to sit a play with your other half or friends. reasonably priced definitely goings back

One of the best Brewdogs I've been to (And I've been to alot) wicked atmosphere, Love wings Wednesday, 3x floors with a roof terrace that's great in the summer, music was spot on as well

Been many times before however a first for Wing Wednesday. You do have to book in advance for this so note that. Whilst it was fairly busy there, there appeared to be plenty of staff yet service was too slow & food took an age (considering 80% of bar ordering same thing!) refills on wings took equally as long so don’t be looking to break any challenges! Wings were huge and sauce selections were nice, although the butter coating/batter was very thick and often more batter than chicken :( Staff always friendly and happy to assist however & always good selection of drinks to test & try!

I have never left a review in 12 years of being on trip-adviser, I am 37 years old and I feel bad leaving this review but I just feel like I need to…… although before I do I would like to say I have been here at this restaurant twice before and it was good but it was mid week not sure if this makes a difference but 2 different members of staff stated to us that they were busy and only had two kitchen staff working referring this as the issues we had………. Went as a party of 6 for food and drinks (Saturday 4th November) had pre-booked a table for 3 hours from 7pm, So my burger came out raw (so red) they said it was because they were busy because of the fireworks, no issue, ok fair enough, sent it back no problem. At the same time 2 of our party didn’t get their chips with their meal even when it was ordered from the app (it was like 15minutes after their burger came out, crazy). Anyways we asked for a manger (she was lovely and understanding called Karen). We were then given 3 free drinks for the inconvenience because we asked and there was 3 of our party effected. Then a new burger came out for me it was raw again (at this point everyone in our party had already eaten) The manger was very understanding and said they would take the price of meal off as it wasn’t eaten. Then when the bill came i paid, then notice they actually charge us for two drinks that we didn’t have (should of been charged a bottle of Prosecco as the said they would take the meal off as I hadn’t had it and everyone else has ordered on the app), when we questioned about this they said it was what the manager Karen had put through the till. They said they would call her, we said ok please do as we hadn’t had these drinks and had only order one bottle of Prosecco from the waiter as everyone else had order through the app. They came back and said there was nothing they could do because she wasn’t answering and that was what had been put through the till. When we continued to question that we actually hadn’t had these extra two drinks. They then said they would have go check get the cctv, we said ok please do as we hadn’t had these two extra drinks (at this point it wasn’t about the money I would of paid want ever) They came back and said the CCTV wasn’t clear so would just take the £11.50 off. I can not expressive that we didn’t care about the money and actually was going to order a round of drinks but once they said they had to get cctv that was enough of us. The fact 4 members of staff dealt with us and no one said sorry (one of the party didn’t eat and two others didn’t get their side until 15 minutes after their mean part of their meal) and I was charged for two drinks I hadn’t had, I also I hadn’t eaten because two burgers were raw and questioned about this, said they would have to check cctv, was unbelievable. I will not be returning!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice bar, different to other pubs in Upminster. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food was good, though menu is a little limited. Would recommend

Good selection of beers, ales, gins and ciders but the customer service was what was really noticeable. We had a great guy who was friendly and attentive and helpful. We didn't eat anything but the food looked delicious.

Not a bad place to go for a quick drink but the food is very average for what it costs but the atmosphere is generally good but the service can be very questionable at times as the staff do not seem very interested in customer service or serving.

Charged me for a side dish they incorrectly served to someone else and refused to take it off the bill. When I suggested I'd leave my details and leave the security staff blocked my exit and stopped me leave. The duty manager even admitted it was her mistake. Paid up in the end and left, without giving a tip which would have more than covered the £4.5 they were after. The response provided by the unnamed owner of the Brewdog Upminster is both inaccurate, untrue and completely biased by their opinion of the matter or what they have been told 2nd or 3rd hand. I asked for the coleslaw to be removed from the bill which was refused. I offered to leave my details for you to follow this up in person, but your staff refused to provide me with a pen. The issue was certainly not of any of the diners making and the way it was responded to, bearing in mind it wasn't our fault, was unacceptable and spoilt my evening. If you serve food on a plate to a customer, I don't believe it's unreasonable for them to assume everything on that plate is for them. No one was rude nor yelling. Given accusations and lack of responsibility in the response Ill purse the issue via the company's complaint procedure.

This is the second BrewDog I have visited . It must be super busy as they seemed to be out of everything we wanted

Staff very friendly & helpful. They are quick to offer tasters to the very unique drinks. We will definitely be going again. Especially to the roof top bar.

Great staff, friendly, helpful and attentive, the food was amazing tasted great and cooked quickly to order, portion sizes are more than enough. Enjoyed the free tasting flight too. Highly recommend and we will be visiting again.

Trendy type of place with a good pilsener type beer here annoyingly gone without trace following week. Outdoor seating. Some really loud and tedious people here on a Friday night, I suppose you can't blame brewdog for that and yes I would also concede it was my choice to live in Upminster

very good service as the bartenders explained each drink we tried and recommended good options when we asked them. some offered more than others but that’s complete fine, they didn’t rush our choices and offered good advice. the drink themselves are good as there is something for everyone in the large selection and then rums and vodkas if beers and stouts aren’t your thing. the decor is pretty and the vibes are good so you’re bound to have a great time

It was ok but didn’t live up to the hype. Online ordering is a farce (just don’t bother as half the stuff on the menu isn’t available). I’ll not rush back

Just fabulous! Booked the upstairs for my sweet baby’s pawty! She had the most wonderful day! The staff were so accommodating, food and service were exceptional. Would recommend to anyone wanting to plan a special celebration for their precious furry child.

Pre booked for a Friday night. Food we ordered was very tasty. If ordering a burger this doesn’t come with chips, they are extra. They sell a good range of ales and larger etc. We asked the waitress if they had a rose Prosecco but was given a rosé sparkling wine. We told the waitress and had it exchanged for just a Prosecco as she said they don’t do rose Prosecco. When we got the bill we had to bring to the attention of the waitress we had been charged for the rose wine & not the Prosecco we had drank. The wine was £10 more .. The place is a dog friendly restaurant where we noticed a dog on the seats! Toilets are on the first floor, but I did notice a disabled loo on the ground floor. The waitress were nice & I’m sure we will go again. But I’d recommend checking your bill before paying!

The food is amazing. The vegan options and non-alcoholic drinks are great. The staff are friendly and a wide range of craft beers are always available.

I spent a whole day here a few Saturdays ago. We managed to get a table on the rooftop for a while, then went down to the middle floor to grab a table and ate some food. I was pleasantly surprised by the food menu, there were so many vegan friendly options! The selection of drinks are fantastic, not just for beer drinkers but a great and unique selection of spirits also. In general it seemed like a friendly atmosphere, I like that each floor offers something a little different. Definitely recommend! I’d recommend booking a table in advance at the weekends if you want to have dinner, although we still managed to get a table without booking one.

Fantastic place run by an exceptional G.M. Food service is exceptional, upstairs bar needs a little more ice and maybe a fan. But the team are fantastic. I won’t be around for a year or so but when I get back to U.K. I will stop here for a drink. Really nice people. You can tell that these people love what they do.

Hello, My visit to yourselves was excellent. The service has improved massively from last time I visited. I would say the service is much better than the Outpost Tower Hill. Your staff were friendly and efficient always asking if we were ok for drinks.The drinks selection was superb although you did not have any Hazy Jane which was a shame. The food was tasty and delivered to us very quickly. I was annoyed at myself for not picking up a can when i left though so maybe your staff could ask if there are any cans that you wanted from the fridge or something like that. That is a very small critique as i had fabulous birthday drink and i cannot wait to return. Thanks very much and keep up the good work. Mark x

We didn't eat so I can't comment on the food but a really friendly place with a great vibe. The staff are genuinely invested in making sure you have a good time some great lager and more importantly some really good music!

Brewdog Upminster is great. It’s so good to have somewhere to be able to take your little dog and have good food and drinks. Highly recommend a visit and trying their burgers.

First time visiting this brewdog and it didn't disappoint, lovely chilled vibe, staff very friendly and really enjoyed the Yonder raspberry sour.

I've been in here a few times,not to eat, just to drink. There is a large selection of beers, mainly craft beers such as Punk IPA. The beers are expensive and not cheap - about £6 a pint. The really strong ones are sold in two third pint measures, which seems a rip off. The decor is good. We liked the roof top area, nice on a warm day. The staff were friendly and helpful. Give it a chance.

It was quiet when we visited yesterday lunchtime. As it was my first visit to this new pub/diner the waitress gave me some samples of the craft beer on offer. The beer was good and the burgers were amazing. I imagine that if we visited in the evening when it was busier the atmosphere would be 5 stars.
