Buenas opciones de cerveza y un servicio amable. Lástima por las opciones de comida. Pedí las papas fritas especiales cargadas mensuales, estas eran tan grasientas que no podía comerlas y a pesar de notar que apenas había tocado mi comida no hubo ninguna consulta sobre por qué por el personal de servicio excepto preguntar si me gustaría encajonarlas para llevar. Una buena opción, pero no en esta ocasión. Si me hubieran preguntado, les habría dicho que eran grasosos e incomestibles para mí y en realidad me hacían sentir bastante enfermo. Buena cerveza y buena oferta infantil. Evita las patatas fritas grasientas.

Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra comida en Brewdog Lothian Road, Edimburgo. Fue maravilloso comer en algún lugar sin ningún tipo de alboroto o problemas sobre ser celiaco. Mi comida sin gluten era perfecta. Tomé una hamburguesa picante de pechuga de pollo en un bollo sin gluten con papas fritas. También tienen cerveza sin gluten, sidra y un menú completo de bebidas. Mi marido también amaba su hamburguesa normal, patatas fritas y vuelo de varias cervezas. Todo el personal era realmente encantador y no podría ser más servicial. Queríamos ir a un lugar diferente para nuestra comida de aniversario, y este lugar era perfecto. Tenía buena música y un ambiente divertido.

Most bang average chips. Not crispy. Nothing Belgian about them. Barely salted and the garlic mayo was so bad - tasted like garlic sauce you get in a kebab shop. Total con had way better chips with pub meals!

Disgraceful, I've just ordered another frites at 18:15pm and it's telling me between 20:30pm and 20:50pm what for curry and chips!! don't use again and you can't phone the restaurant! or cancel your order on justeat.

I ordered medium fries with garlic mayo sauce, I asked for salt as I didn't know they salt the fries, just as well I didn't add it, they were very salty. In a medium size portion, half of them were just crumbs or tiny tiny slices, went in the bin as it just couldn't be picked with the little wooden fork. Absolutely no way for the potatoes to be hand cut. Very disappointed and will not repeat the experience.

La zona en la que estábamos sentados era inicialmente demasiado caliente y posteriormente corrimos el riesgo de sufrir hipotermia cuando el personal decidió encender el aire acondicionado. Nos dijeron que la comida tomaría hasta una hora, pero tuve que seguir nuestro pedido de comida básica dos veces después de 1 hora y 20 minutos - claramente se había olvidado y se preparó a toda prisa, como tal no era genial. También fue dolorosamente decepcionante que no hubiera Alas de Seitán, con la alternativa disponible siendo las alas de coliflor, un producto considerablemente más barato cobrado al mismo precio. Otros aspectos de nuestras visitas fueron que no se puede pedir comida a través del código QR en la mesa, a pesar de que se le anima a usarlo, y no hay manera de usar su Equity for Punks cuando se envía una bebida en línea a través del código QR - un cínico podría decir que esto es útil para Brew Dog, ya que significa que aquellos que tienen fondos públicos a lo largo de los años no obtienen ningún beneficio ahora que no nos necesitan. We stopped by Frites for a snack and, based on the waitress’s recommendation, tried the Chicken Tikka Goodness. We went for the large size to share, and the fries were flavorful and satisfying as a meal. However, the place lacked a seating area, even for waiting, so we ended up enjoying our fries on the stairs of Usher Hall nearby.

Un pub de tamaño decente, en forma de L, en la popular Lothian Road, parece ser un edificio bastante reciente y se ha quedado con un interior de estilo bastante industrial, como si se hubieran quedado sin dinero antes de terminarlo, pero simplemente decidieron abrir de todos modos. El menú ofrece una selección limitada de comida bajo los encabezados de hamburguesas, alitas, comida compartida o basada en plantas, por lo que no hay comida tradicional de pub como un pastel o fish & chips, por ejemplo. Opté por Patriot Burger con una empanada de ternera, tocino ahumado, cheddar, pepinillos, cebolla, gema para bebés y salsa BBQ con una porción de papas fritas a un lado. Me pareció muy buena, muy sabrosa y una hamburguesa decente, con mi única pequeña crítica quizás porque no me di cuenta del queso. Hubiera ido a un desierto, pero con Oreos fritos y helados siendo las únicas opciones, decidí echarle un vistazo. En general, me impresionó bastante con tis, la comida era muy buena, el personal era amable y servicial y tenía un buen ambiente.

Amazing place to get amazing Belgian fries. The chips itself have an outer crisp with a soft inside. I ordered small-size frites with honey mustard sauce and jalapeños.

It's a lovely little take out place with amazing loaded fries my favourite was the chicken tikka one and I definitely recommend those and this place if you want a filling quick meal to take out.

Been two weeks in a row, as I thought they deserved a second chance. Problems here are sloppy kitchen and surly bar staff. Food has arrived poorly presented. Fries had been sitting and were soggy. Last week my haggis burger arrived without haggis. Sever was great and apologetic both times, offering replacements. But what's going on in the kitchen? This week both the girls on the bar couldn't be less interested. Took ages to pour two simple drinks, and struggled to remember the order Then I get presented with a suggested tip! Too polite to tell them working in a pub isn't for them. Brew Dog is expensive. It sells a great selection of beer. Done right, you enjoy yourself enough to ignore the price. Dont know what's wrong in this branch, but I'm not here to be treated shoddily. Fairest I can say is they are letting the side down. Felt like one star, but the girl on front of house was doing her job, and the drinks are good.

Me my husband and 20 month old daughter were in Edinburgh for the day and were looking for somewhere for lunch. My daughter is allergic to Milk and Eggs so eating out is always a challenge and very nerve racking. We came across the brewdog bar and I asked to see their allergen menu. The manager brought over a print out with details of each allergen in each meal so that I can choose a meal for my toddler with confidence. I can’t begin to tell you how important this is when you have young children with allergies. You are putting their safety into someone else’s hands and not all restaurants carry the same care and priority over this. The manager made me feel completely ease. I interacted with him mainly but also one other guy who was equally as helpful and friendly. I didn’t get their names but hopefully they will know who they are as I did give them this feedback verbally and tell them I would be leaving feedback. The food was lovely we all enjoyed it and the drinks were nice too. Well done and thank you!

Chips were a little bit cold for my liking but I was hungry as hell so they still tasted good

A restaurant that serves Belgian potatoes in several flavors. I did not like it very much. Belgian potatoes are completely different in the method of cutting, serving, and taste. They are good as a quick snack in Edinburgh. The staff slowly accommodated the request and in the end the order was wrong. There is no seating. Only external orders.

Tasty fries with a bunch of different toppings and sauces. The small cone is more than enough for one person. Really cheap and friendly staff!

Nothing to write home about looks and atmosphere wise but more than makes up for it food-wise, which is what matters here given it’s street food. It’s a must-visit for any potato and chip lovers out there, just stick with small portions, despite the name they’re quite filling so it’s great value for money. Pictured is small box with bacon, parmesan and cajun spice.

Ordered a simple medium portion of frites with mayo. Waited almost 30 minutes while orders from those arriving behind us were completed first. Staff prioritised customers they knew and, when challenged about the delay for such a simple order, clearly couldn't care less. Frites themselves were average, and drowned in mayo. Dreadful customer service - avoid at all costs.

The potato option is delicious, and you should buy it to go because there is no place to sit, but for those who love French fries, they should be tried.

The humble potato. Best vegetable ever. Go here. It's good. I had the medium which is 400gr with two sauces and it only came to £6. Then go have some Vodka, which is sometimes also made from potatoes. Like I said, Best! Vegetable! Ever!

You can get a pretty filling bag of chips (at least for me) for £2.95 so it's pretty good! You get a lot of choice of toppings and seasoning so I really recommend it

We like Brewdog as its local beer, spirits, the food is different and good quality plus the dog is made to feel as welcome! Great service!

£9.00 for chips cooked in lard with canned chicken and brown source. How is that "Mexican"? There is no warning or notice that it's not real meat. Sad! Avoid!

Ordered on the app for convenience. Waited, Waited again, still waited. No food or drink arrived. Eventually someone offered to take my order, advised I’d ordered on app. After 10 minutes was advised that they had closed the kitchen and cancelled my order as they were too busy. After I enquired that they were too busy to even serve drinks two pints were delivered with an apology. Not sure if I have been charged, refunded or whatever. Either way a bit of a S**t show imo.

Had to change my review (previously 5 stars) because this place has fallen off HARD and I don't want others to go through the disappointment 😩😩 Typical case of running the place well for a couple of years, then running it on a skeleton crew to maximise profit at the expense of customer experience and worker welfare. Went from an average wait time of 3/4 minutes to around 15 minutes, and prices have increased too so the value for money, which was admittedly already quite bad, is now even worse 👍😀👍 Wouldn't visit this place until the management problem is resolved, which seems unlikely given that the sister location runs pretty much the same. Businesses that rely on worker abuse hardly ever learn from their own mistakes. A shame, since much lower prices and more staff would allow this place to compete very well with the many other options in the area. With a product as good as Frites serves, this clear mismanagement & worker abuse is a true local loss indeed. Not swag 😩‼️

Great place to grab a drink before going to Usher Hall. Great service with relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Food has also been good and lots of games for kids to play with as a family.

Incredible customer service from Harry! Would definitely come again. Despite a mix-up with actually getting wings for wings Wednesday, Harry made sure we were well taken care of and showed exactly what individuals in hospitality should - friendliness and willingness to go above and beyond. This lovely young man should be a manager!

Absolutely amazing this is always my number one place when I go to Edinburgh!!! The food is absolutely amazing and the drinks as well, always fresh and just amazing flavours! The customer service is also amazing and wonderful to interact they are happy to help ^-^ This is also the best price for value place I have found, never been so obsessed with this place everyone should try!!

I ordered a chicken tikka goodness, it was delicious for a great price aswell. Also Marwa was doing an amazing job dealing with multiple people at the same time. Great person and service.

The fries are "okay". I don't really understand how this place stays in business though. It only sells one product, fries, with optional spices / sauces but in my experience they never have any fries ready. There are usually 3 staff visible on duty and all look busy but it doesn't matter if there are no customers waiting or a dozen customers waiting, it always seems to be a surprise to them when somebody asks for fries and it takes 5-10 minutes to walk away with even just plain fries. I walk past this place daily but I've only managed to survive in the queue long enough to get fries without forgetting why I'm even in the queue and wondering off maybe twice.

I left a review recently complaining about the decline in service and quality of product, and am pleased to say it seems they have taken this on board. I just received a box bursting with its contents (and flavour) and the milkshake was also full to the brim and perfectly mixed. It also arrived within the time it said it would! Thanks to whoever was working at 7pm-ish on Tuesday!

Chicken smelled and tasted bad. Not the fresh meat which was served.

We got served 6 burnt burgers, 2 of them for the kids, after more than 30 minutes wait. Those burgers should not have been served by the kitchen, especially to kids.

I order from Frites far too often to be honest because I like it so much, but recently the items I’ve been getting have been sloppily prepared (chips and tikka not mixed together, chocolate milkshakes tasting more like vanilla because there is almost no flavour) and have also reduced in size. They used to come full to the brim, now they are half full at best. They also forget the straw for the milkshake most the time, and provide a fork when I don’t request cutlery

As a Belgian, I feel embarrassed by this. Calling it Belgian fries when it tastes nowhere near real Belgian fries. Texture was good, but doesn't taste anything like the ones back home. Fries are too thick. They're just crunchy chips

Got the simplest option, chips and mayo, and unfortunately it was mediocre. Maybe bad luck, might give it another try sometime.

Great beers. We enjoyed an espresso and a sampler of beers. Enjoyable and tasty way of learning a few beers. Prices are good. We did not have any food. The menu looked extensive but it was not cheap. There was free wifi. Very nice.

Horrible chicken fries could be good but the chicken just ruined it

At first,I was having a stroll in Edinburgh when I took a glance and noticed a flyer displaying some delicious fries covered in rich sauces. Therefore I decided to have a look at what Frites offered. I got attracted to go inside by the luscious dirty fries and decided to place my order. I noticed that inside of the store was pristine and well looked after ,showcasing a lovely design inside to really advertise the goodness of Frites. The staff was friendly and offered a quick service and I can tell that the customers were very delighted. I rate this place a 10/10 !

Being brought up in Germany, these chips with mayonnaise brought back so many happy memories.

If you love chips then you can't pass this place up! I always get a large bag and they do mean LARGE. You have endless choices for toppings or loaded fries, but in honesty, I just like to taste the chips so I usually just get them with salt and they are the best tasting chips I've ever had.

Came for wings Wednesday. We were told upon seating that we had an option of korean bbq and buffalo but advised the the new Korean one was not nice and it was not recommended also we could not mix and match which was strange. The wings came out and the batter was extremely excessive on each one, over cooked and at times batter on batter on batter, my wings looked like escalopes. I had 3 portions in total and each portion the wings were a worse quality with less and less sauce. Trying to get a waiters attention was a nightmare and when the bill came and several things were wrongly changed which caused me to miss my train as I was having to deal with it. Overall not a good trip and sadly seems to have been this was the past few times, may be time for a change.

Great food and service. Leah one of the managers was fantastic. The service she provided was superb some of the best customer service I have experienced. Couldn’t fault them atall. Will definitely be back!
