Dump...lying about arcade games..miserable staff and hanging lager

On Sat 24th May 2025, Fraser the manager of the York venue was our host for 4 of us on thr beer tour experience. He was fabulous. Full of knowledge about the brand, it's history and the beers themselves. He was both professional and easy to talk to and managed to cope with our many many questions. I would suggest promotion for Fraser within the company, he would be a great asset. We would definitely recommend this experience!.

I visited on the weekend with my little boy and we were looked after so well. The staff especially Alex were lovely with him, being as boisterous as he is. Very welcoming. Fast service and knowledgeable and let me try a few before landing on a favourite. Will defo come again when I’m in York!

We did the BrewDog Beer School led by Samuel, who was fantastic - he was really knowledgable and accommodating and made sure everyone had a really good time. Thank you Samuel!

Alice was our server- extremely friendly and accommodating. Alex made us our pizzas which were delicious. Will definitely be coming again.

We received a warm welcome from Alice and was given the chance to try a beer before buying it, which was a great idea. There are a few separate rooms to sit. Nice place to visit.

Wanted to say a huge thank you to the team who made our retirement celebrations go with a bang. We had loads of comments on the quality of food service and beer it was a great atmosphere and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the night well done and thank you for the excellent memories- David, Jo, Sule and Tanya.

Great spot in the heart of York. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and the beer – as always with BrewDog – is top notch. A must-visit for craft beer lovers!

Came in to see a few friends, and was served by Fraser - he ensured that told us about the range of drinks and food that brewdog sells. All while being friendly,kind and genuinely funny and adding to our conversations. He did some great pours and left no more room for food or drinks 😅 Great work! We will definitely be coming back

Had an amazing time at BrewDog York – the vibe is laid-back and welcoming, with a great playlist, friendly staff, and an awesome selection of beers (as expected!). The team really knows their stuff and were super helpful with recommendations based on what we like. It’s the perfect spot whether you’re popping in for a quick pint or making a night of it. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and top-notch beer. Can’t wait to come back!

While touring around York, we came across this lovely Brewdog, so we stopped in for a pint, but as we'd had a late lunch, we did not have any food. The inside is split into comfortable, separate rooms, providing slightly different ambiances. We talked for a bit with Fraser, who introduced us to Brewdog's new "passport" reward.system. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, a very big thank you to Fraser!

One of my favourite pubs in York, a true gem. Solid and wide selection of beer with a variety of guest beers on regular rotation. Whether you're looking for no-nonsense pints, a strong stout, or a fruity sour, there's something for everyone. But the thing that keeps bringing me back is the staff. They are all lovely people, and always a pleasure to chat to.

Quite a walk away from the city centre so it was quiet and there wasn't a great atmosphere. The interior is very suited to beer drinkers and not very comfortable or attractive. Staff were friendly. Beer was great (according to my partner).

I have been looking for a new pub/bar to have a drink in on my way home from work. I’ve always tried to support local pubs as I am a local businessman myself. Though Brewdog is a chain, this is my second time at Brewdog York this week and I have to say the atmosphere is okay, but the staff are not the best at customer services. I had to wait over 10 minutes to order a pint of Punk ipa, to which the bar person said “that’s an easy one to do”! I then went to sit in the window seat, to find there were 2 remains of pizzas and drinks. So I started to clear the table to sit down and the barman’s shouts “That table is reserved”. I look across to him and say “there’s no reserved sign on the table”, he replies “well it is”! No apologies or suggestions to where I could sit. I’ll be heading back to the Falcon from now on.

Standard brewdog nothing stood out on this visit

Popped in for a few drinks and to watch the rugby. Didn't eat but the table next to us did, and I was noseying at the food which looked good.

My goddaughter Tean has birthday in Brewdog this evening. She expect olives but there is no olive. This disappoint me greatly as she request olive to honour her Italian heritage for me. I hear she has good time with good friend and atmosphere though, so I think she happy. This is good for me and also make me happy. I will visit brewdog next summer but expect olives will be there.

We had a 40th birthday party in one of the side rooms the other day and it was fabulous. Derren and Sam and the whole team were brilliant, really warm and cheerful. Thanks so much for helping making the night so memorable. Delicious pizza, too.

Me and my 10 year old daughter had a lovely pizza and gourmet hotdog here - food was so tasty, great atmosphere and Alex and Alice were so welcoming :) would highly recommend!

We visited as part of a beer school experience and I would heartily recommend. We had a cheese and cracker board, and this was followed by five one-third tasters of some of their flagship beers. Out host, Derren then talked us through tasting notes and interesting facts about the company. He was knowledgeable and presented the details in a laid back and informative way. Had a lovely evening. Love it. Dead and berried is my favourite drink there as a cider drinker. People are nice and welcoming and good atmosphere to have a drink and food. Highly recommend the pub quizzes they do.

Looking a little tired from the outside, but inside, it was warm and welcoming. Friendly staff and great pizza...usual BG beers...you can only use one of the current offers per order.

Me and my friends, was out on new years eve. In York never been to the brewdog we all got a very friendly welcome from the staff, all decided what drinks to order from menu we had. Manger who helped us was very friendly and advised us in which one to get, we all sat in booth also orded 2 spicy meaty pizza aswell which was absolutely delicious full of flavour here. Compliment with our drinks service was absolutely amzing friendly staff had good laugh with staff aswell. We all couldn't thanks for help and hospitality from all staff and mangers aswell. Absolutely reccomend this bar to people who like beer and good pizza excellent service.

Had a great couple of hours at the beer school experience hosted by Alex at Brewdog York. Very relaxed and friendly approach made it so much more enjoyable. Amazed to discover he has family just a couple of miles from our home in Shropshire. Appreciated his time considering it was a VERY busy day in Brewdog and in York itself. Great beer, great experience, highly recommend.

Visited for a family birthday. Always pop in when in area. Had the cheese & meat boards. Good price for what we got.

I had the good fortune to spend the evening last night being part of a cheese and wine taster. Was pleasantly surprised as a golden oldy how welcomed I felt. I couldn't fault the service I and the rest of our party received from Alex, Ellie and the bar staff. A very rustic bar with a very friendly atmosphere, highly recommended. Thank you all for a very pleasant experience.

Just enjoyed a fantastic Beer School Experience at Brew Dog York. Derren was such a great host, talking through the different beers and generally talking all things BrewDog, beer and alcohol in general! The time absolutely flew by - we'll definitely be back to work through the rest of the beers we couldn't manage today!

I walked in to a huge welcome from one of the women behind the bar. It was so nice and really made me smile!

Was great to have somewhere dog and child friendly, the pizzas we had were great and it was nice having some classic arcade machines available. The main part of the bar/restaurant was fine. However, the back area and toilets smelt very strongly of mould. The womens toilets were the worst, and there was mould covering most of the ceiling. Also, the doors didn't close, let alone lock. Menu-wise, there was so much they didn't have available. We were aware they couldn't currently do wings, but they also couldn't do fries. The kids' starters weren't available, and they didn't have any milk. Not all beers/drinks were available. Completely understand if it's a supply issue, there just seemed to be so much we couldn't have.

We went for the beer tasting session. Tried a whole load of different beers and it came with a cheese board. The host who took the session was very knowledgeable and presented the session really well. Would definitely recommend it. Only thing I would say (and it's not a big deal) but some of the session seemed more like a marketing stunt for Brewdog rather than about the beer. I would have liked it to focus more on the beer than the company.

Misha was amazing so bubbly and welcoming. She genuinely seemed interested in how our day was and what we liked to drink. Also Arthur was really good. Had a nice chat about beers

Friendly helpful staff. Its a smaller Brewdog that had the bog standard beer selection but chatty staff and good mix of indie music.

Las cervezas no tenían sabor a falta de lúpulo es el resultado de venderse y no estar a la altura de la ética original. Lugar carecía de ambiente y la atención al cliente no existía. . Los cócteles están en latas pequeñas, muy dulces y a un precio excesivo. . Lo peor de todo fue pedir 4 pizzas que eran buenas pero ligeras en ingredientes, 2 llegaron como se prometió a tiempo, pero los otros 2 tomaron otros 30 minutos. Otras mesas fueron servidas ante nosotros, así que no cocinado en el orden correcto. Habíamos terminado de comer los 2 primeros, pero no pudimos compartir con los otros 2 comensales por razones dietéticas. Sin disculpas. Nos fuimos con la compra de más bebidas que habíamos planeado hacer y no volveremos a ningún Brewdog. Izquierda fue directo a 'cucharas. abd tenía cerveza de calidad y vino servido con una sonrisa

Good tasty beer, it has many options to taste even they offer you a "taste as many beer you want" just to decide witch one is better for you, live open mic acoustic. Great place

The bartender kindly let us in before official opening to let a 3 year old use the loo. The beers we had were very nice. Bartender was friendly and the plane was clean. We were the only ones in there

Thursday night with the music acts on is very enjoyable.

Hi, we had a voucher for a shared cheese platter and a flight of beer each. This was our 2nd attempt at using it as, last time, the pub had no cheese (and precious little else) as the supplier had not turned up. This time, we were offered one flight of beer between us but another one was speedily supplied when prompted. The cheese platter was basic (4 cheeses, a pot of chutney) but there was an even number of crackers, which was much appreciated. The two members of staff on duty, were very pleasant.

The only good thing I can say about this place is good live music, Rude manager, dirty tables and long wait for food.

You can't beat a Brewdog bar. Great selection of beers. Retro feel and good vibes ✨️

We had a fantastic set of drinks suggested by the bar staff. We had excellent service from Arthur, who was very attentive and gave us great service all night, We had a great night and we would definitely come again.

We didn't eat but had a few drinks. Quite a big bar and the same set up as most Brewdog.

A really pleasant and spacious bar which offers quality drinks and food. I ended up being fixated on how nice the glasses were to view and hold. The branding is clean and simple and the vibe inside was nice even when it was fairly quiet. I was served by a guy which really took the time to help decide what beers were suited to me and offered cool insights. I really enjoyed the kind of zones for larger parties to hang out in and the retro arcade machines were good fun!

We came to Brewdog for my partners birthday and we have never been so impressed and pleased with the service we received from Harold/Harry(?) Despite running his shift alone he made sure we had absolutely everything we needed and more- EVEN staying later than his shift ended just to bring out the birthday cake. We will definitely be returning :) Thank you!!

Had an absolutely great time at BrewDog York and the Ale tasting session 2 hours of tasting and an excellent cheese board and watched the Charity Shield to.Must say that everything was spot on.

We had a brilliant time, the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 boys aged 4&6) really enjoyed the food and drinks, but the making of the place was the staff, Ben on the bar and Elly in the kitchen are a real credit to the place, can't rate them highly enough.
