This was a great place for our Fordingbridge Cycling Softies Christmas lunch. There were nine of us and the excellent food all arrived at the same time. The staff were friendly, the place was warm and comfortable and the food and drinks were perfect for our group. Well done!

We used to visit this cafe fairly regularly when it was under different management. At that time the cafe used to close for the winter months. However, since it is now open the whole year, we are regular visitors. Although on days when the weather is nice, we prefer to sit outside, when the weather has deteriorated then sitting inside is a joy. It is very comfortably decorated and furnished with very friendly management and staff. Generous portions and a good choice of food. My reason for not giving it maximum (stars) is down to just one issue: whilst I realise that running a business these days is both hard and expensive, I am finding an increased tendency for unexpected and unannounced additions to bills. I am finding that if I ask for milk with my coffee, a charge is added. I don't know whether that is the same for cold or hot milk, but in future I will ask for a black coffee.

Supermarket pre-sliced bread, sickly sweet "hot chocolate " that didn't taste of chocolate, cheese in my sandwich that turned oily when toasted....I didn't say anything at the time because my very kind friend was treating me to lunch and I didn't want to embarrass her by complaining. But I will not go back and cannot recommend. We also struggled to hear each other speak because of the rather loud music playing. Very disappointing.

Wow, what a little gem this tearoom is, fantastic ambience, credit to the person with the inspiration behind it. We had a really nice cup of tea and coffee with cakes all with a big band classic 40's/50's music playing in the background, what's not to love, will definitely be back. Staff very attentive and courteous, many thanks.

Coffee and lunch in this cafe was excellent. The ploughman’s lunch was very tasty as was the quiche and salad. Pick your table and take the number when you order. Food made to order.

We enjoyed a lovely coffee and sandwiches followed by some delicious cakes. My only criticism would be 1. I thought the bread for the sandwich would have been made with a nice loaf of bread not just a sliced loaf. 2. The owner when giving doggie treats to a customers dog didn't wash his hands after feeding the dog. 3. The drive into the carpark has very large potholes, surly a bit of gravel wouldn't be to much to expect.

Lovely spot in the sunshine for a simple lunch or afternoon tea. We did both! Staff friendly, service good, ploughman’s and Victoria sponge were excellent. A good all round experience.

We have been to this lovely cosy tearoom several times lately and it never disappoints. There is always a friendly welcome, and a warming log fire. Just what is needed after a long walk around the Miz maze. Breakfasts are great, and today I had a tasty crispy bacon, Brie and cranberry toastie on gluten free bread. The staff are very helpful about gf choices. The cakes are good too. Definitely worth a visit.

Stopped by with the girls for tea and a sandwich, and the staff were ALL amazing. Happy, friendly, and funny. Enjoyed the food very much and drinks. Had a walk about and found the farm shop was equally nice. A great find.

We had lunch at the tea room and were amazed at the quality of the food. We had the salt beef sandwich and it was perfection and imaginatively presented without being prissy. A neighbours crayfish sandwich looked even better - if that is possible. Be prepared to wait for the food as they are apparently short staffed - it’s worth it. One suggestion to the owners: the volume of the music could be reduced a little. Otherwise, keep up the excellent standards!

A lovely cafe and beautiful setting. Great tasty food and very reasonable. They do a kids version of any meal, which makes a welcome change. Friendly, helpful, efficient staff too. Nice little farm shop next door.

Visited here with friends & family a couple of times over the last month. Have been very happy with both visits. Easy to park & you can have a very nice walk from here too which is certainly an added bonus. On both visits I was impressed with the selection of food options & the choice of cakes available. All priced sensibly & good quality food. Happy serving staff & a good atmosphere. Seating in the outside area was very pleasant too.

Have been here many times over the years and met the new “owner” soon after he took over. He was keen to emphasise his desire to provide good food and good service. Well that didn’t last long and neither will the business on todays evidence. Sign outside clearly stated open till 4pm yet at 3.35 we were met with “ we are closing now so can’t serve you”. When asked why the daft reply was “it’s been that kind of a day and we are short of stock”. The counter was full of cakes and a half (1.5litre) bottle of milk was clearly visible. When pushed the reply was “you can have a takeaway” the logic of which left me flummoxed. Very poor….very poor indeed and we won’t be going back whilst the present people are running it…but that shouldn’t be too long!

We have been to the cafe several times recently and found the cakes and tea very good. Today I went with my disabled husband only to find that they had stopped serving, it was 3 45. There were at least 3 couples who had been turned away, that really is not on when people travel out of the way to go to the cafe and then it closes early.

My husband and I found this tea room on a circular walk this year and have been back several times since (whilst doing the same walk). We only ever had tea and cake, which are excellent. This Sunday (Aug 21st), we decided to make a special trip out with friends to treat ourselves to the delicious food on offer, however we were extremely disappointed to find the venue closed early due to a private function. Great to have a private function but not altering the opening times on the website it pretty pour. Hopefully an oversight.

Lovely setting and friendly staff. I took my friend and mother for a light lunch and was not disappointed. Salad, ploughman's and bagel goid value and tasty. The decor inside had a nice 50-60 feel with gentle music playing in background. Will definitely return.

A gem in the rural community has been updated. It was a shame to do this. So many local people adored this old fashioned gem of a tea room but it has been updated. Im sure a lot of time, money and energy has been lavished upon this enterprise but it misses the mark because the estate is a time capsule. A shame. Even our 6 year old felt it had lost its magic.

Stopped off here for lunch en route to the coast. It looked delightful and the cappuccinos were excellent, but oh dear the bacon sandwiches😢. The bacon was completely cold, cheapest cut available and more fat than meat and, even worse, was seriously undercooked.. Yuk, the worst bacon sandwich we have ever had. Don’t bother, drive on past👎👎

My friends and I visited on a Sunday afternoon from out of town at a local’s recommendation. I loved the atmosphere - lots of plants, lots of seating. There weren’t many customers, so it wasn’t loud. We were hoping for afternoon tea, but sadly it is not available on Sundays. Some of us got the Sunday Roasts instead. More in our party (of 10) would have liked to try the Sunday Roast, but they only sold it to some of us due to limited staff & presumably limited ingredients. The rest ordered sandwiches. I’m sorry to say I was not impressed with the starter or main course (the meat, potatoes and vegetables were a bit dry), but I did enjoy the crème brûlée for dessert. Afterward, we visited a gin distillery around the corner. They allowed us samples, and I was impressed with the flavor and smoothness.

Visited today, staff very welcoming. Cooked breakfast was very good, love that you also get marmalade with 2 rounds of toast with it as well. They had other breakfast options on their specials board too. Good value for money. Would certainly visit again. Thankyou.

Best fish and chips in a long time… the small size of the kiosk had me convinced it would just be drinks etc, but oh, how wrong I was! Such a variety, quick and friendly service

Super little cafe with utterly delicious baked breads, pastries and buns. The sourdough loaves on their rustic shelves look & smell wonderful! Enjoyed a perfectly brewed coffee from their own roastery and a vanilla cream bun which was heavenly. The staff were so happy and friendly, I have to mention them all so thank you Harriet, Charlotte & Izzy - what a lovely little place!
