Great stop off point on walk for tasty bacon roll. Used it as outdoor service during COVID and have called in for morning rolls or afternoon cakes on many occasions. Always clean,comfortable and tasty

I visited Breakout with a friend at the end of a walk with the dog. It wasn't my first visit but it's a great place for a cup of tea or coffee and some baking to go with it. It's also a good place to go if you're working from home and fancy a change of scenery. There are several workstations set up for that purpose. It has a great view out over Malleny Park and it's dog friendly too. Definitely worth a visit.

Quickly became my regular spot and only in town for a little over a week. The bar staff was amazing. Came for the beer, came back for the staff, and...have to see the toilets! That made its own FB post! Love this little bar!

23 South Clerk StreetThe noodles were excellent thick and chewy. The braised beef brisket was full of flavour, tender and bitey. The broth was very flavourful. It retained clear nourishing quality. If you look for a freshly- made beef noodle soup in Edinburgh, look no further. It is a place you simply must try.

Only thing I didn't like is that I had no room for more.

48 Cockburn StThe selection of whisky is great and the food was alright but felt it was way overpriced for the quality we received. We were also charged £8 twice for one portion of the haggis bon bons (apparently this is some kind of a service charge, ridiculous we had to pay double for one small dish) Seems like a tourist trap to be honest and I don't think we will be back. There are so many better bars with more reasonable prices and better service.
