I popped in here last week on a whim without a booking last week. The team very quickly found me a table and made sure I was comfortable. I had a great poke bowl with haloumi with a gin spritz which was just what I needed after a long day! The atmosphere is great. They have done a wonderful job with the decor (i love the disco ball!) and the music was just right. The lovely Francesco took care of me all night with the right balance of making sure I had everything without intruding too much. Service was quick, efficient and friendly and I am looking forward to popping in again next time I'm in the area. Good job guys!

We visited the restaurant and had a very good lunch. We called them to alter our reservation which they did without any fuss. On arrival, we were greeted warmly. Betta did a fantastic job with her service. She was prompt, friendly and efficient. Our meal was very well presented and was absolutely delicious. The one minor complaint was a long wait beween starters and main courses. I would highly recommend a visit.

The whole experience was great thanks to the lovely Italian lady manager who made sure we were comfortable, satisfied and she went above and beyond. Definitely should be promoted :)

We had a wonderful meal, with great food and wine. However, it was the service that really stood out...Elisabetta was perfect! (so was the waiter, but we didn't get his name). Elisabetta was not only the consummate professional (nothing was too much trouble for her) but over the course of the evening, we gained a new friend ❤️ No hesitation in recommending this restaurant, GO THERE!

We visited the place for dinner, we were 20 minutes early but the place was almost empty so we were allowed to enter. The waiters were really nice and always helped us with what we wanted. The beef wellington was really tasty, the cocktails really closed the drinking corner and the wings and the fried fish were a great first course

Had a lovely lunch here today, courtesy of a Xmas gift. We had the 3 course seasonal set lunch, so not a massive choice - 1 fish 1 meat, and 2 salads. Service was exceptional, very attentive and friendly, at just the right pace. We had the Umami chicken wings to start, and they were the best we've ever had - tender, crispy, perfectly cooked with a delicious marinade. Minute steak as main was OK, but a bit chewy. We asked for both to be pink, but one was and one was overdone. That said, the overdone one was less chewy. Flavour was good, delicious pepper corn sauce. Finished off with the mango sorbet, which was just that, mango sorbet. Nice setting, it was a bit quiet.

One of the best meals we’ve had in a very long time. Elisabetta is incredible and so is her team. Unbelievable customer service and the biggest smile. Food was nice and hot and the restaurant was clean and lovely.

I took my cousin, who was visiting from the US and is a huge Gordon Ramsay fan. The food was nice enough, but the portions were small. The venue had a trendy vibe, and the staff were very attentive. Overall, it had a nice, relaxed atmosphere.

We had the Beef Wellington Experience. Everything was delicious and the service was great.

As a starter, bread types and butter, main course Beef wellington, wine, everything was delicious and perfect, the employees were simply AMAZING, they are super attentive and make you feel very special, I definitely recommend it, there are options for every budget 🤗

Let's just say this restaurant was not what I was expecting considering the famous chefs name on the door. I ordered from the set menu as I had a voucher which I received for my birthday. I'm glad I did not pay for the meal. I would recommend eating elsewhere.

15% service charge but very nice. One dish is a bit too salty. Poor hygiene because we can see others coffee in our mug.

I did not want to write a review at first, because the restaurant kind of fixed their mistake, but now they pissed me off. We went for dinner with friends and first they forgot about us. The waitress gets our order and we are waiting for our food. After about 30 min she comes and apologizes that the kitchen lost our order (?) and she will take it again. I have worked in restaurants myself, so I understand that this happens so I was not very upset - things happen and we thought that now they will probably put us first and the food will arrive soon. 40 min later (!!) the food arrives. My Ceasar salad is without chicken that the waitress asked if I wanted and I said yes, but ok. My son (9 years) ordered steak and also one of the grown ups ordered steak. Both steaks arrive, but my son’s steak has half of the fries that the my grown up friend has. I thought that maybe that is kids portion and it will be cheaper - no, in the bill the same price. Why does my son get smaller portion for the same price? I order steak and it is not for the restaurant staff to decide how much he will eat. After all this mess they give us discount, apologize and take the service charge away so I decided ok, that’s fair. But we come home and my partner realizes that he does not have his headphones and his bag fell in the restaurant so they might be there. I call the restaurant, but they are closed, so I send an email. Website says that the email is checked from 11am, so I wait and at 12.30 still no response. I call again and a unkind person informs me that they cannot help me and I have to send an email. I say I did, but they are not replying and we have a plane to catch in couple of hours (I live in Spain) so I am in a rush. Nothing they can do, I should go back to the restaurant. Really - it’s London, I obviously am not close and it will take me 3 hours to get there and come back, really you can’t contact the restaurant? Maybe the headphones are not even there. The contact e-mail and phone number in the website is shown for the specific restaurant (has the restaurant name in the email address), but aparently it is not because it goes to the central office. I am so pissed about how unhelpful the staff was and would never go back. The restaurant probably won’t care, because I am just a small client and not a rich one, but maybe this review helps someone else. It is not all about the food (which was not bad, but avarage).

Ridiculously pricey for VERY AVARAGE FOOD.

Set menu with a gift voucher, we did end up paying £70 on top on drinks, sides and service charge. Can't fault the service and the food overall was very tasty ( steak was a bit tough). Cocktails were very nice but quite pricey. All in all good experience but unlikely to return sadly.

We visited back in October for my partners birthday. The food as you can imagine was excellent and the service was attentive and on point. We rarely visit high end places so this was a real treat. We were staying at a nearby hotel so it was only a few minutes walk and we had booked a table prior to our visit. The atmosphere was welcoming and cosy and it was a fantastic experience. The bill admittedly made us choke a little but you get what you pay for and we payed for excellence.

A thoroughly enjoyable lunch. My cauliflower soup starter was creamy and comforting, my main of flat iron steak with chips and a chimichurri sauce was flavourful and moreish, and the chocolate brownie was delightful and rich. My dining companion enjoyed light, crisp and flakey fish goujons to start, a main of delicate and delectable steamed sea bream and a dessert of warm and tasty apple crumble. Whilst there are some slight criticisms to be had - for example I felt my soup had a little too much truffle oil, my steak was slightly chewy and the apple crumble was a little too sour, this did not detract from the overall experience. I must also mention the service was great. Ioannis and Francesco were both very attentive and friendly without being overbearing, and they were fantastic hosts throughout, checking in with us during and after each course, and making sure we had a pleasant time. The restaurant is also well appointed and kept in a good and clean condition. I would be happy to return and would recommend!

Disappointing experience. Staff were absent, forcing payment via QR code despite incorrect charges. Waited at the front desk for five minutes to collect jackets, but the front-of-house staff were chatting in the kitchen. Eventually had to retrieve our own coats and bags from the cloakroom and left. Won’t be returning.

Came here on a whim, and can Honeslty say we were impressed. The service from Damir was 10/10 really friendly and helpful and the food was also incredible. Definitely recommend.

Me and my wife have just visited there for lunch using a virgin experience bought for us from our lovely friend for Xmas. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend. My wife (who doesn’t like fish) had the sea bream and didn’t leave a crumb I also had the steak.

We were in London for a event and staying a few doors up from here so took the opportunity to eat here. As expected the restaurant looked great and the service was great. I went for the fish and chips. The fish was delicious and flaky really one of the best I've had. But I did think the chips were a bit under just not as soft as the local chippy. We also went for the side of Mac and cheese with garlic. But the garlic really overpowered the cheese, it was just macaroni in a bechamel very garlicly sauce. My wife went for the burger, really good patty was tasty and just enough salad in the burger the sichara sauce gave it a welcome kick. Overall really good.

What an experience! I am convinced I just had the BEST chicken burger of my life. I never new you could perfectly balance the ingredients and tastes in a burger. I can highly recommend the GFC Burger. Now the dessert, I had the sticky toffee pudding and I am concerned, I think this dessert should probably be illegal due to the risk of it becoming addictive. By far the best sticky toffee I have ever had. If you don't really have a sweet tooth then it might be a bit much, but if you love sweet stuff then this is the holy grail. I really enjoyed the meal and the service was great. If I can come to London again I will visit them again without blinking. Thank you for an incredible meal.

Beautiful food that was faultless to the last bite. We had the wellington which was cooked to perfection. Our server Damir was very attentive and courteous - our wine glasses weren’t empty for a second. Atmosphere was nice though very loud at times - possibly due to it being a busy Friday night.

NYE DINNER: We received 5* incredible service from Damir! We didn't want to leave because of the service! He recommended the perfect sides to go with our meal, he gave us a taster of the wine we had selected and he thought of everything, leaving no stone unturned. It is true that he made us feel like a lady and a gentleman in his company. We recommend his service very highly and the food was wonderful. Stunning crispy kale, buttered spinach, fresh cod and chocolate fondant dessert was sumptuous. We are inspired to try more specialty restaurants! Thank you Damir for making us feel like VIP's!

A perfect Christmas experience! We came here on Christmas night since we were on vacation and didn’t have a Kitchen to cook our own meal. I chose this restaurant because they had a dedicated kids menu for Christmas! My kids absolutely adores the food while my husband and I got the Beef Wellington! Everything was delicious. Our server was Damir and he was charming and attentive. He really made the experience enjoyable and relaxing. I highly recommend this location!

I was given a Virgin voucher for one of Gordon Ramsey's restaurants. It was a for a set menue. We were greeted very warmly by Francesco. We ordered the smoke on water cocktails, which was strong but nice. Then we chose the smoked salmon, which was a very good portion and tasted amazing. As main we ordered the steak. The meat was cooked to perfection, and the peppercorn sauce was divine. Afters was brownie. It was just amazing. It's the lightest brownie I've had. The restaurant is really nice inside. Gordon Ramsey has actually kept the charm of the old fish warehouse. I can't find anything to complain about. Maybe I would be happier if Gordon was there. I'm definitely going back soon.

A little rocky start but it is Christmas day and very thankful they were open and serving a very flexible and delicious menu. I had the burger and it was very very good and the highlight I have to say is the innis and gunn which should be everywhere here in London and for some reason isn't. It was here and along with the service it made the Christmas dinner perfect for us!

Damir was excellent! My husband and I were visiting London for our anniversary and didn’t know where to go for Christmas dinner. Damir took great care of us and made dinner an unforgettable experience. Everything was wonderful from the food, drinks and service. We’ll definitely plan to come again when we’re back in town.

We came for Christmas lunch on 25/12/2024 and were served by Damir. He was very efficient, helpful and friendly and made our experience exceptional. The food was also exquisite. Would definitely recommend.

Overall stars is solely based off of the food because honesty I don't care how nice the environment and service is I'm ultimately there to eat. A little backstory my family and I just got off a 7 hour plane ride and is looking for some food. We saw this restaurant and thought it looked decent enough but had no reservation but the host guy was nice and snuck us in somewhere before another table (we arrived exactly when they opened cause we were actually starving). I'm not gonna lie though this guy did not seem very welcoming. This is my first time eating what I assume is British food and literally why were all 4 dishes my family and I ordered the same bland, neutral color palette. Not only did it look bland it also tasted bland. Flavor fatigue only took like 3 bites to kick in. The bread during bread service was also really dry for some reason that I had to drink 2 cups of water to recover. And going back to the beige mom core meals, the only thing that kept me going was the lowkey kinda high price point and the cranberry sauce that came with my brothers turkey. Although in the end flavor fatigue won and I lost. By the way I ordered the venison and cranberry sausage. I wouldn't recommend. They also somehow made kale taste greasy. I will say the atmosphere is quite nice in there and the service is like ehh lowkey the bare minimum that I expect all restaurants of this price point. Also the place is card only.

My wife and I had Christmas Dinner here on our trip to London. Damir and the whole staff were so kind, accommodating, and helpful. The beef Wellington was cooked to perfection. Great experience overall. We will be back on our next trip.

Sad to write this review, I've been too Bread for a few work meetings in the past and has always enjoyed it. This time sadly, was quite a poor experience. We were rushed to order, then the order was messed up (3 meals ordered for 4 people?) food took 90 minutes to come through and overall the food was was disappointing. Not saying that Bread is a bad restaurant but rather that its a hit and miss.

We came on a Saturday around 7, the place was half empty despite it was mid December. The service was slow and the food was quite a small portion for the price. I ordered a Thai red curry prawns with Coconut rice. The red curry had no flavour except a bit spicy and there were total of 5 small prawns in the curry with a bit of onions and pepper. Nothing tasted like a Thai red curry at all. The coconut rice needed to order separately. The curry came with some prawns cracker but who eats curry with prawns crackers. The coconut rice didn’t taste of any coconut at all and it was a tiny portion even for me who don’t normally eat rice. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially how much we paid.

Dined here today with a big group. Was a nice and quiet environment. Food was okay…wings and meatballs were great. The idiot sandwich which most of the group got was maybe a bit too over done (bread crispy to the point it was slightly difficult to eat). Big shout out to our server Noor, she looked after our table, going above and beyond (even finding us hot sauce that was stashed away). Vital asset to the team.

Corporate Christmas lunch at this venue was definitely the right decision. Great atmosphere, exquisite hospitality etiquette across all staff members and food and drink selection was varied and prepared with love. Very pretty and delicious dishes 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

This place may have good food but the service and organisation are horrific. We had booked a table for a team a while in advance. We came at the right time and were given a very tight table just because we were 11 and not 12. The name tags were thrown at us afterwards, no organisation beforehand. The receptionist doesn’t know anything and started giving us regular menus instead of our pre-ordered menus. Waited for 40 minutes to get a bigger table, then gave up. Waited for our food for more than an hour. Even though we had ordered everything in advance, to a specific time, and placed a significant deposit! How can you be so disorganised?

Ironically, this felt like something straight out of Kitchen Nightmares. The service was appalling-we waited an hour and a half for our mains after finishing our starters. To make matters worse, I’m gluten intolerant, yet the main course I was served was not only the wrong dish but also contained gluten. The table next to us also had to send their meals back, which says a lot about the overall quality. The food itself was mediocre at best, and to top it off, they got our wine order wrong too. Oh and they gave me a fork for the soup lol. After 2.5 hours of frustration, I left wishing I had just stayed home. Save yourself the time and disappointment-avoid this place at all costs

Work / Client Lunch (7 persons) From the moment we arrived to the moment we left 2 hours later sadly service was lacking. We were shown to our table with not more than a word uttered, no offer to take our coats when the chairs are designed to not accommodate a coat (yet have clothing rail upstairs and closet behind the counter). After 20 minutes sat at the table I had to go to the bar to prompt someone to come to the table to take a drinks order. The whole experience seemed transactional, a clear lack of service and just long gaps with zero to no service. 2 drinks, starters and mains took over 2 hours meaning we run out of time for desert. Food was ok but nothing that lives up to the name. Extremely disappointed

It was ok. We were here for our work Christmas Dinner. Tuesday night so it wasn't overly busy. We were booked for about 16 of us. We were seated in our own area on the mezzanine which was quite nice. A couple of people were ill and couldn't make it, but the restaurant were not able to cancel those meals so we shared the extra plates on the table. Set menu was about £50/head, with wine, water and other drinks it ended closer to £100. Consensus amongst the group is that the starters were ok, really nothing special. Mains were good but nothing that you would remember - there were some plates that were not finished. Desserts were not good. Christmas Pudding (we pre-ordered and the restaurant had printed on individual place cards) - we were served sticky toffee pudding instead. Servers heard us talking about it and after first telling us that we had ordered sticky toffee (and the place cards were misprinted) corrected this, though the brandy sauce was not available. Thinking now, I think people who ordered cheesecake were also given an alternative as it tasted more like a set gelatin mousse, and I don't remember any biscuit base. Overall the space was good and allowed our large group to get up and mingle between courses. Staff were attentive and polite. Food was on balance just 'ok' (disappointing), but I guess reasonably priced. Drinks were expensive, but that was expected.

What a disappointment. Prices are horrendous, and the food quality comes nowhere near the expectation that chef Ramsay‘s name on the sign sets. The first dish was bread and butter, you would really assume that there is not much to do wrong with this. At least that is what i thought! They serve you 4 cheap, simple to bake up, mini breads. The small amount of generic butter for this cheap bunch of bread was a even bigger disappointment. The next course was the potted salt beef brisket, which was the way this whole experience should have been, tasty, and of good quality. The legendary Beef Wellington was another big flop. 2 persons pay 100£ for this small serving of what i would consider a rather well made Beef Wellington with the pretty much worst sides i have ever had. The mashed potato was just like convenience mashed potatos, and the honey roast carrots were just dry and tasted bitter. The drinks were also rather a miss than a hit, but compared to the food they were absolutely fine, probably because i did not have any expectations at all after the first course when they served them. If you are looking for well made food, just don‘t go here. I don‘t know how a person of such a great reputation would good willingly put his name onto this restaurants sign… One important thing to say is, that the other 2 restaurants of the Gordon Ramsay franchise we tried, the Petrus, and the Burger place, were quite good, Petrus even overachieved my expectation as a 1-Michelin-Star restaurant.

Was here on a business trip so ate alone. Just had the burrata, fish and chips and a coke which came to a whopping £50 with service charge. The fish and chips was a big portion but very oily! Hardly any fish mainly batter. The burrata was good. But yes, quite overpriced!! The service was great but the food was not worth it.

Went with colleagues and customers. We had a table of 9- so perhaps we had a limited menu due to that fact as the pictures I am looking at were not an option on our menu as far as I am aware. I was massively underwhelmed by the food, having gone in with high expectations. I can’t fault the decor, our table was roomy as well which isn’t always the case- so a decent start. We tried to order drinks for our colleagues and customer who were 10 mins behind us in a taxi as we had the drinks order - but for whatever reason they wouldn’t take the order- only for people that were present. Baffled me, still does. Anyhoo- menu, not a great choice. A couple of curries, in hindsight I should have chosen 1. Had bread and olives for each end of the table- average would be generous - olives were small and gave me vibes they’d just been poured from a jar from Aldi. Starters- decent- our table had a variety and all went down ok- nothing that was photo worthy or got a rave review- “decent” seemed to be the general consensus. Then came the mains… fairly pricey for what they are. I ordered the lamb sandwich. It looked like a greasy toastie that someone’s granny might have made- 2/10. Fish and chips looked a great sized portion and good value, ribs described as delicious- and looked the part. A mushroom cannelloni would have killed a vampire from 300 feet so was the garlic content. The price of the sides- bit on the steep side (£7 or so for broccoli or green beans) - but not outrageous. Overall we spent around £90-£100 a head including drinks. I’d have been ok with half of that- that was its value for me. Disappointed it’s fair to say. I have a lot of time for Gordon Ramsay - but was hoping that his passion and expertise would have translated into the food. Not this time I’m afraid. I’d have preferred a Nando’s (sorry GR- I can’t hear you calling me a p*ick for writing that)

We had a brilliant time. The food and service were excellent. The front of house was charming. I can't remember his name, but remember he was from Romania! He made us feel at home and we had a lovely few bottles of Champagne! Thank you for a great evening!

Be warned if you go with a voucher order nothing else. No drinks, no sides, nothing. If you do that will then charge you the full price for everything plus a 15% service charge then take off £44 for the voucher meaning water and a side which should cost £14 extra as per the T&C's on the voucher will cost you £44. If you complain they will knock off the service charge which is optimal anyway then patronise you with excuses because I guess if someone bought you a voucher they assume you are poor and stupid and will accept their lies. Seriously consider going to the office of fair trading over this scam. Food ok but not worth being patronised for.

Very average Sunday roast, the potatoes were rock solid, and the knife could barely cut the cabbage yet alone the meat. Service was fantastic though.

We came on a Monday lunchtime which of course was quiet, but the place still had a little buzz to it. The food was nicely cooked and good value for money. Our waiter was very informative on giving us his recommendations.

What has happened to this place? I used to come here twice a month and the food was always delicious and had some uniqueness. Now? Fish n chips, curry, Caesar salad and hamburger. And it’s not even well cooked! I had a pasta dish that came in a pot, barely warm in the middle, very dry and didn’t taste much. I had also brought some visiting business people and I was embarrassed to have picked this restaurant. The ambience is still good, though.

Lovely evening at The Southwark Bread Street Kitchen. Amazing Food! Tasty and generous portions. Noor was our waitress and she was wonderful and attentive. The manager was warm, personable and very knowledgeable about the history behind Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants. He gave us great recommendations for the other BSKs to try- which we will be sure to do! Choice of 3 starters, 4 different mains and choice of 3 deserts. The food was tasty and served promptly. Damir was an excellent attentive waiter.

Food was very disappointing. My son wanted to order a hamburger, but they were gone. The avocado in the salad was rotten and the chicken was dry. All in all, not the dishes you would expect from someone who burns down everything and everyone on TV who dares to put something like that in front of him. Staff were funny but for the £250 I paid I could have gone to a comedy on Westend.

The food was 10/10. The service from Lee was great, made the experience very enjoyable due to his charisma and humour. The place was well located and the venue was very clean :) again, I can’t stress how lovely the food is!

Lovely relaxed vibe. We took the kids who ate a top quality burger for free while we had delicious roasted cod. Friendly staff who understand picky kids (!) thank you Damir for looking after us
