Nice place with a lot of choices. My coeliac partner was satisfied with his gluten free burger. You will get out genuinely full and almost unable to move much but it's so worth it because the food is absolutely delicious. Good prices too. Will definitely go again with the next Edinburgh visit.

Food is fine, but if you are really into burgers, it will be disappointing. Other than that the place is nice.

A wonderful dining experience with some great burgers. We tried a variety and loved them all. Very kid friendly as well along with great Halal options.

A spectacle of hamburgers, it is true that they are expensive but they are worth a lot, they are without potatoes, and they gave us free water hehe and the waiters were super friendly and attentive

One member of our party was a coeliac and was very impressed with the selection of gluten free options and was catered for very well. Everyone loved the food, so good! Reasonably priced too! Never change!

Our waiter, Johnny, was absolutely amazing. Very nice, attentive, friendly, and checked on us frequently. Promote him ASAP! The food was delicious and very filling, definitely better than expected. Cocktails were great, just the right amount of everything. ABK hell beer was also very nice according to my partner. Overall, I recommend 100%!!!!

This feels more like a diner/fast food place than a nice dinner restaurant, BUT the vegan burgers are super good, the chips are nice and the staff is super friendly. It's spacious and absolutely fine and nice for a quick bite. We went there after a long travel day and it was super satisfying.

Really tasty food. The burgers are very filling and well made. Lots of seating available so it didn't feel very crowded even though there were lots of people. I would recommend it as a place for evening meals with family and friend.

Burgers was lovely 😍 Had to ask for lunch menu they don't give it to you unless you ask ..also 10% service charge was told it was optional but brought card machine with service charge on ..think the price whats on menu is what you should pay I know they say it's optional but shouldn't be put in that position especially at lunch

My wife struggles to find GF food and we were so stoked with so many beers and meals that were GF! 50 points to Gryffindor!

Best GF burger I’ve ever had! Trying to find a decent GF burger can be tricky, but the burger bun here was so good I almost considered asking if there’d been a mistake (the texture was so good!). Overall, I was so impressed with the spread of GF options here (burgers, hot dogs, toasties and subs!). Will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

So you like American inspired sandwiches and burgers? This is the place. The menu is enormous, crammed full of goodies. I could come back a 100 times and not try it all. I had brisket sandwich which was to die for, wife had a chicken burger with the softest chicken. Great drink and side options, just top notch. Only thing, might be that I didn't detect many healthy options, but then again, I wasn't looking for them!

A good place to eat. Quick and friendly service. Royal burger was good, as was the Philly Vegan burger. Chips were a bit over salted, but other wise good. God value for a decent burger

The food and service were very good, and the staff was friendly, there were 9 of us and they seated us without problems. The only thing we didn't like was the tips; that were "included" when in reality they were totally optional, but otherwise everything was very good.

Top Burgers!! We went for the Lil Kim and Philly Cheese with a double patty, sode of poutine and buffalo chicken bites. More than enough food between the two of us. A great stop of you love a good burger! We returned!!! And I think I found the best burger I have ever eaten to date! The sunshine... a thin patty with pulled brisket, mozzarella, pickles and a mayo. Absolutely delicious!! 😋

Large and central place, good food with average prices

We arrived at the place, and a very friendly girl helped us, we told her that we were in a hurry because we had to catch a plane (which was true) and they immediately brought us the hamburger. We had a Smash, when we ate it the flavor was rich, maybe a little more pepper and a little cooked. But the delicious flavor and the impressive treatment.

No sign that dogs are not allowed anywhere, we were told to make the dog leave after getting to our table. Not sure how difficult is it to have proper signage.

Very friendly staff and very good food. You feel in good hands and the food is impressive. However, an “optional service fee” is included in the bill, which I find a bit cheeky. I'm always happy to tip, but I decide how much depending on the service.

Food was good but having a 10% service charge included in your bill without notice when you have to add any sides separately to a £13 burger already. we felt rushed to order and at almost £50 for 2 burgers 2 pints and 1 portion of chips it has put us off going back.

A huge gluten free menu and really kind, helpful staff! I will be thinking about the GF poutine for the foreseeable future because it was just THAT good.

Bread Meats Bread does a lot of things, moderately well. The restaurant I could argue was too large, lacking atmosphere, the menu had some great offerings but was also too large, and the burgers while tasty lacked quality, especially the bread which fell apart. However their Blue Cheese dip was to die for and for large groups it would be ideal. I just have a hard time believing its 'Scotland's Best Burger' as they say.

While visiting Edinburgh, dropped by to have a bite. Ended up having several burgers and taking some with me. Still dreaming of those burgers. They were divine.

Wow wow! This seasonal burger was really unique and I liked the flavors. They have a huge gluten free menu as well. My only complaint was the meat was very dry. I guess a little too smashed? Not sure exactly why, but I added some garlic aioli and it made up for that a bit. The staff was friendly and the food came quickly.

The gluten free options are amazing! Thank you so much also to the incredible attention to detail from Anna and the other staff, I came back twice in one night as the food was excellent and the service impeccable!

Scotland's best burger? You could eat a burger, but it wasn't anything special and the price was absolutely not justified. The classic poutine was simply disgusting and inedible. I can't recommend it.

The atmosphere is nice and cosy as well as the service. Food was not the best. I ordered the Luther burger and the burger had a really bizarre taste which was like it was cooked in a really bad quality oil. It had the taste of an expired oil , and it was also really greasy. At the end when you pay, the add an optional 10% service fee which they don't say anything unless you check the bill. You can then ask not to pay this amount, but I find this very distracting since they don't mention anything unless you check the bill.

Absolutely banging burger, was expecting it to come with fries at that price. £20 for burger and fries is very steep!

Quickly popped in as my train was due very shortly, asked how long it would be and the waitress was amazing and got us seated and served extremely fast, food was delicious and perfect to keep us full back to Manchester , definitely recommend 💯

Fantastic for the type of food. It's not gourmet, but when you want a burger, big toasties or chicken sandwiches you can't go wrong. Order a burger with 1 side per person and you'll be satisfied. Luther burger was an experience and super tasty, good with a more savoury side (tatter tots complement well).

Great food and prices similar to those in the area. A very pleasant atmosphere. If I lived in Edinburgh, I would go more times. I recommend it for tourists as well as people from the area.

Don’t eat here if you have a serious gluten allergy. Asked for the gluten free menu and ordered off the gluten free menu - chicken burger. I also asked for no pickles twice and it came with pickles. Half way into eating it I was approached and apologetically told it wasn’t actually gluten free and if it would affect me much. They did offer to make another, I didn’t have to pay and was given complementary chips but of course it is a matter that should be taken with a lot more caution, same as one would with a nut allergy. Thankfully I’m not someone who is seriously affected.

Great burgers and poutine. We were given the recommendation of Sunshine on beef, enjoyed the untra smashed burger patty and the crispy edges! The halloumi fries were also great too!

We stopped by here after a long day of walking look for a good burger and we were not disappointed. We both ordered their speciality Luther burger and a large side of loaded bacon fries. The burgers were excellent and the fries were delicious and great for sharing for two people. I know most people think fries are included but they are not with the burgers. Nonetheless, excellent taste. They offer alcohol and cider drinks too, which were excellent. Great hospitality and staff. Offered some advice to check out in the area. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area looking for a good burger. Until next time!

Tried the so called "poutine" which is very different than the one from Quebec. The gravy tasted like a cheap brand from the supermarket. Rather go to Down the Hatch next time...

got the vegan disco fries and cheesy m&m burger along with the truffle mayo dip. the vegan cheese in the disco fries was not melty and it almost felt like we were eating rice. a shame because the fries and sauce itself were really good - but it threw the dish off a little. the burger was tasty but pricey and it does not include chips or salad/veg with it. the bill also included an optional service charge, which felt awkward to ask to have removed so we paid it anyway.

I had to cook myself dinner after waiting for ages to get a burger. I even wrote and said please can you write which burger is gluten free on the box they all came in the same bag the same way.
