Bread Bakery in Barnet

Avoid this place at all costs. The waiter on the door shouted straight in my daughters face when she arrived with my father and her aunt. The waiter wanted to know how many were in our group and whilst my daughter was trying to answer he proceeded to scream at her that he was busy. Disgusting behaviour from the person in the door. My daughter was so upset i had to take her home. The rest of my family stayed there as were meeting with another family member and short of time. I missed hearing from my niece first her big news about her pregnancy because I had to leave with my daughter who was so traumatized. Afterwards I heard that the staff apologised by bringing free cake etc. but the damage has been done. There’s never an excuse for this type of unwarranted aggression. Disgusting and very upsetting.

Service is terrible. Arrogant and slow. Waited forever for breakfast and they finally told us they lost the order. Tried again but they put us to the back of the line

This place has a lot going for it, open and airy, big glass windows and good pastries, salads and bread. Customer service is non existant. The arrogant owner does not acknowledge anyone , even regulars like us, apart for his friends, the counter staff are really busy and just get on with their jobs, the guy on the floor, has the most manners, music often too loud and any request to turn it down is ignored. They obviously don't care about their customers.

Staff are so rude, they almost throw the bread at you. Talking to each other all the time they are serving you. Must be the rudest bakery ever. The staff need training in customer service

Truly one of the worst breakfast experiences I've ever had. Staff incredibly rude and unwilling to help with simple requests. Ordered an ice americano and was instead served a room temperature cup of brown liquid with no ice to be found, had to wait 25 minutes for a simple panini and when I asked the guy in the glasses behind the counter (manager/owner?) he immediately retrieves it from the toaster it had been sitting in the whole time, which obviously burned the bottom. Upon opening the panini I discovered a single slice of tomato and a meagre portion of pesto, which raises serious questions about value for money. Save your hard-earned cash and don't spend it here. For the manager/owner: your staff seriously need some customer service training.

We were seriously shocked at the appalling customer service. None of the staff were willing to help, in fact, it seemed as though they didn’t want anyone there. My partner’s food came out once I had finished my meal because they forgot to make it and then left it in the toaster to burn. It was quite obvious that none of the staff - including the manager (owner?) - wanted to assist the customers, which begs the question: ‘why are you working in a job that requires customer service?’

Absolutely delicious chollas, bagels and platzels. Second to none. My mother in law had it with her chicken soup and she said it was the perfect accompaniment. The man the behind the counter with the glasses couldn’t have been more helpful; a gentlemen.

Each time l have been in rude man on till gave me a pound short in change. Mistake or deliberate!!!!

Man behind the counter with glasses...if you’re going to work in a busy cafe, front of house, learn some stress management techniques or work behind the scenes. You spoil our visits.

I and my friend she is a barrista went here last mon. . the coffee was like KaKi and the pastry was stale as a stone.

Busy bakery with delightful restuarant. Fresh well prepared dishes with creative use of vegetables. Good size portions. Fight to get a table.

Popped in for brunch. Eggs Benedict and a bacon sandwich. Really good quality food brought quickly. Staff were lovely. Would recommend

Popped in for some pastries. Small pot of mini pastries and a slice of cake came to a tenner. Had to queue up and put up with curt impatient service for all that. Not coming back again. Ever.

A loud bustling place where nobody explains how it works - eventually watched a deli worker use his bare hands to put a piece of salmon on a plate. The price for this with 3 deli salads, a smoked salmon bagel and side salad and 2 soft drinks was £32 - time for local food inspectors to visit ( oh and 2:30pm they spray the glass with Mr Muscle - trying to use their hands to stop it spraying into their food.

We saw all the salads laid out on the counter but nothing was priced. He begrudgingly explained that 4 helpings cost x and so on. Ok. But all the while he was talking to us he was scratching his beard, UGH. His colleague was biting his nails. No way would we eat there, goodness knows what goes on behind the scenes.

A bright welcoming coffee shop, that offers a variety of options. Fresh pizzas, different vegetarian dishes, cakes, croissant, coffee. You can also buy home-made biscuits, with fruits, dates, a wide range. The seating area is very comfortable, that suits, business meetings, couples, groups and families. I loved that place
