Brasserie Blanc in Leeds

Very good evening out with a large group. Food was fine, staff were attentive, drinks a bit expensive but overall very good.

It has been a while since we have enjoyed a dinning experience so good. Top marks to the entire team at Brasserie Blanc.

Lovely meal with friends of very long standing that had never been before.

To start with we had to ask to order drinks 15 minutes after being seated, the drinks took a further 20 minutes to arrive, this was the theme of the evening, Service was very slow. The food was at the standard expected, not Wow, but good. This is the 2nd time we have visited for a special occasion, many years apart and both have been not up to the hype / expectation.

Wow, what can I say. We arrived in an overwhelmingly large group, worried we wouldn’t be seated but Noemi managed to sit us down in time for the final orders of their Sunday lunch menu. The service and attention to detail from Noemi was immaculate, she catered for our fussy children and was quick to fulfil requests for extras / sides / drinks and more. I was continuously blown away by her kind efforts. The pork and the beef both delicious and I would highly recommend the pistachio soufflé for desert, it’s to die for. Thank you again Noemi :)

Still my go to restaurant, 77th birthday yesterday and a wonderful meal from the new Autumn menu, although I had to have my favourite starter Cheese Soufflé

Excellent food and service. Always a solid choice for dinner.

Family meetings are usually mid-week or very occasionally Saturdays but for once it was a Sunday lunch visit. We were a few minutes early - so able to have a drink before moving to the table - which was a little slower process than expected. Only one starter was chosen - the Boquerones - which I was told were very good. The 'mains' were the traditional roast beef and where I had not thought to mention that I like it more grey than pink but it was lovely tender meat, well rested - so no complaint and together with the vegetables, plus a large, proper' yorkshire', it was a generous plateful. My guest went for the duck and enthused about it. Had there been enough time to allow the 'mains' to settle before needing to head off, we might have gone for a dessert but a good time gap, more than we could spare, would have been needed. Drinks were non-alcoholic cocktail for the guest and house red for me - to go with the beef. The wine options were a glass (170ml) half carafe (375ml - good to share) or bottle. As driving, I had to settle for the glass - as 375ml too much - but would have preferred 250ml. The staff were those we had met on previous visits - so quite happy with them and the gratuity. We will happily be back - especially as I noted that well behaved dogs are allowed and ours loves eating out.

Awful experience!! Never again Terrible experience from lack of flavour food to the awful service from Josh the assistant Man... Aug 2024 My wife and I take a date night/ day each month as we have a hectic life with work and 7 year old little girl. Yesterday we wanted to travel up to leeds from Derby to enjoy a Virgin holiday gift voucher that, I bought for my wife for Xmas. The start of our experience and Brasserie Blanc Leeds, was as expected good. Helpful as my wife is Gluten and dairy intolerant. (Unfortunately not loads on the menu for choice, however ran through the options). THATS when our experience and day got RUINED! The waiter came across and asked how the meal was, I had mentioned that mine wasn't great (king prawns) however had eaten it as l was starving (I had been up since 3am and had a yogurt, whilst traveling). The prawns were over cooked and dry and the main was under seasoned. The assistant manager Josh came over and asked also, I mentioned it to him and said I don't want to complain it's just my personal opinion and my wife's was like a watery broth that also lacked flavour. Response was excuses instead of trying to help. I had made a comment that Greggs would have more flavour. After 30 minutes no one came over to take our deserts order. Josh made every effort not to come over to us. Which we got up and left and gave Josh the voucher. As we were leaving a lady did come out to apologise and Josh stood at the door. l asked why he didn't come over and said I thought you had been served as the menus were not in the table, I mentioned you had been serving us this afternoon and knew I didn't enjoy my main meal. More excuses came out. God awful customer service! As we were walking away Josh made a flippant remark "enjoy your Greggs!" This is shameful and uncalled for! Appalling behaviour that I wouldn't expect!

Do yourself a favour, come here and try the Morteau sausage, terrific ! Mind you everything is terrific. We visit this restaurant exclusively whenever we are in Leeds.

First time for me and my husband, went with friends who had been before. Have to say lovely experience all round. Our server was a lovely French lady and she gets 10 stars 🌟. Food was also good and wine reasonably priced and very nice. Will defo visit again. Well done Brasserie Blanc 👏

Visited for my daughter’s 18th birthday and all the staff made our celebration really special. From the welcome complimentary presseco for our table to the attention to detail and warm atmosphere. All our meals were to a high quality, perfect portion size from a wide ranging menu, something for everyone. Wine reasonably priced, full and extensive options for all budgets. Barry is a fabulous waiter, attentive and friendly; making our family celebration a great day.

Good but not as good as my last visit. The fish soup was nice, but a langustine head with no tail was a little disappointing. Pistachio souffle for dessert was lovely and the chocolate ice cream to accompany was fantastic.

Excellent food, ambience and staff. Would recommend to anyone visiting Leeds.

Beautiful place with lovely staff who are very attentive. Sunday roast was delicious & you get unlimited roasties, Yorkshire's & gravy, great idea!

What an amazing venue! We ate the sunday lunch and we couldn't find one fault. The beef was so tender! The service really was outstanding and the food and drink recommendations were spot on. We were lucky to eat alfresco and sit out by the canal! The interior is stunning too though! We already can’t wait to return to try the a la carte menu! Thanks to the team!

Pleasant welcome from staff - had a crèmant de Loire and a pint of Landlord which we refreshing. We had decided on chateau briand seeing as it was Wednesday and a welcoming complimentary bottle of red to go with it. The meat was melt in the mouth, the fries were tasty as was the salad with a great dressing. 3 sauces came with it and were a surprisingly good addition. We finished sharing a cheesecake with vanilla ice cream - yummy 😋 very good service mention to Baz. Will be back.

We tried the lunch menu, the cucumber gazpacho was nice and refreshing. The fish cake had a balanced seafood flavour. When it comes to mains (we waited quite a bit) the smoked pork was soft and full of flavour. The steak was more of a mediocre dish, but overall quite good for the price. The terrace had a nice atmosphere, just a little speaker with some ambience music would be perfect. Zack was really lovely and when we ordered aperol he let us know about the 2 for 1 offer so we ended having some g&ts too. We will be back soon to try other dishes!

Spotted the brasserie while I was exploring along the canal and thought I would give it a try even though I had dinner plans. The service was good and friendly. I ordered the fish soup which was tasty. I'll definitely be coming back to try the other items on menu. Update: went back and had a 3 course meal. They didn't disappoint. Service was great and so was the food. For dessert they had a raspberry souffle which was really nice.

Fantabulous. Service was top notch, food was good and so was the venue. You eat out to be taken care of and have a great time - the lovely humans at Brasserie Blanc were amazing, worked well together, and exuded confident riz. Pay rises all around please, and see you next time we're in Leeds.

Jujujuju is delicious. It is the best meal I have had during my 5-day trip to the UK. I can’t figure out why it is so delicious. Every dish was eaten by me and my classmates as soon as it was served. wonderful!

Great service and lovely location that is tucked away by the water. Menu is European with some french dishes on the menu. Excellent house wine that is good value with a money off voucher. Will definitely be visiting again.

Despite there being lots of good places to eat in Leeds, we continue to return here and it never disappoints. We've been many times and the food is always excellent, the staff and friendly and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. Highly recommended

Brasserie Blanc is always amazing. Great ambiance. The food is wonderful and the menu is quite varied. On this occasion, we met the manager Noemi, who is super friendly and knowledgeable, and gave us a lot of advice and just spent time having a chat with us about all manner of things. We were sitting at the bar. There isn't much that could have topped our experience for a nice time out. We've been here a number of times before, and now that I've found out the restaurant has dog-friendly sections, and even offers special dog food and drinks (pre-prepped and packaged by an external company), we will definitely keep coming back here more and more.

Great service, great food and great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. They recommended escargot and duck which was delicious.😋 Will definitely come back next time I am in Leeds. 👍

A convenient location just a short stroll from the station in quiet side road. The service at BB is second to none being friendly, attentive but not obtrusive. The food was mainly French themed but with good use of top in season English produce like Devon crab and Yorkshire rhubarb. We couldn’t fault the flavours in starters , mains or desserts and the wine was equally well chosen … In brief a delightful meal and we shall soon return!

Perfect! Wonderful menu, which combines French gastronomy with a "green" proposal, healthy food, vegan + fresh food! Romanian chef scores 10/10!!

Would be a 5 but the rather unsubtle pushing of a service charge for a separate drinks bill brings it down for me. Happy to pay service charges to be clear but this was s bit pushy.

Simply superb. Excellent and efficient service, amazing food. The Chateaubriand was one of the best we’ve had. A great wine selection and an amazing atmosphere. We went at a quiet time of the day for lunch and it was a good choice for us. There is an outside seating area for nice weather and a large bar if it gets busy. 100% returning.

We went for dinner with friends and family after getting married. The atmosphere, food and service were great. It's a really nice restaurant and I would recommend visiting. Unfortunately I can't give a 5 star review. While everything was nice and good when I went to pay the bill the service person failed to mention a discretionary 10% service charge that will be applied to the bill and that upon request it can be removed from the bill. I only find out about it after paying the bill since it was written at the bottom of the bill receipt.

I’ve been here twice - once for a staff Christmas do and once with my partner and his family. Both times I had the goats cheese tart for starter and OMG it’s amazing!! I also had the trout as a main and it was great. Second time I had the mussels for main and it was quite disappointing as many of them were closed. Service is always efficient and friendly. Lovely atmosphere! Also the French waitress/hostess was super welcoming and kind, give her a raise!!

This place is brilliant, everytime I come it never disappoints from the food and service its all brilliant. The cheese soufflé is so nice and the roast beef dinner is brilliant. I tend to avoid roast beef in a lot of places as disappointed but here I always choose it.

A lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and beautiful food. My friend and I visited with a Virgin Experience voucher where, yes, you receive a limited menu, but the food is delicious and there is even an option to use the full a la carte menu and use the Virgin Experience voucher as more of a gift voucher. Definitely recommend and would love to visit again.

A wonderful meal at Brasserie Blanc in Leeds. Delicious cheese soufflé, fillet steak and rhubarb crumble. Everyone praised the food and the great service which was just the right level of engagement - not too little, not too much. The restaurant is very well laid out with ample space, and service was quick albeit on a Wednesday evening which was naturally quieter. Would thoroughly recommend.

Went to Brasserie Blanc in Leeds for Sunday lunch. What a delight. Haven't been for Sunday lunch for a while. We were not disappointed. The ham hock terrine for starter's was so flavoursome. The delicious bread with a drizzle of oil was just the right amount on the side. I had the roast beef & yorkshire puds. The beef was so tender, possibly the best I've ever had. Anywhere! My husband had the pork, which he said was delicious. The seasonal veg with caramelised onions was fabulous. With plenty of gravy & roast potatoes. Followed by cheesecake for my husband & truffles & coffee for me. A nice glass of malbec completed our meal The staff as usual were very attentive, friendly, chatty & very well informed about the food. Big shout out to Josh & his team, very hard workers, but always with a smile. Lovely Sunday lunch. Thank you

Brilliant all round experience. The food was some of the best we've had, the staff were warm, welcoming and so helpful with my wife's allergy (she loved the little flags). Overall has to be one of the best dining experiences we've had.

We love this restaurant. It was my birthday 'weekend' and Brasserie Blanc is, by far, our favourite restaurant! The building is gorgeous, the staff and service is terrific, the food is always marvellous, and bearing all this in mind, it is very reasonably priced. I would, and do, recommend it to anyone.

Good Value considering the excellent quality food and service you receive. Could do with its own parking because parking in Leeds isn't cheap

Dinner was very nice. You could ask for extra veg, gravy, yorks puddings. All lovely. Glass of Prosecco on Mothers Day too. We will return.

Took my daughter here for a lazy afternoon meal. Everything about the place is top drawer. Brilliant staff, who are attentive and professional but not in your face. The food, as it should be, is outstanding. When you go to a place at 3pm, and the chefs are still bothered enough to produce perfect food, you know it's a winner. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I have been twice in the last three weeks with different friends and both times we could not fault it. The food is wonderful and the staff really looked after us. Continually checking we were ok, did we want time between courses was everything ok! Looking forward to the new menu! One of your reviews is from the gent who knocked a waiter and dropped the desert, it was for our table. The review is out of order he hadn’t a clue he had knocked the waiter, the waiter had not stepped back he had put mine down and was walking round the table to put my friends desert down. Anyway, they replaced the dessert so fast, we had very little delay and it did not detract from our meal. It was dealt with very professionally. Unlike the gent concerned!

Excellent lunch yet again. A perfect place to spend our wedding anniversary with our daughter. The staff are very attentive and every course was delicious, especially the trout.

Excellent Sunday roasts! If I was being super critical the meat was very slightly over but it was still delicious. Everything else was spot on, the souffles are beyond amazing, the rhubarb and almond tart was exquisite, drinks were great and by far the best service in Leeds.

Dined here on a Saturday afternoon. We were a fairly large group - a mix of kids and adults - with a range or dietary requirements. The staff were really accommodating of this and super helpful. The food itself was really really tasty. I think the food is priced very reasonably considering how good it is! Will definitely be returning and would 100% recommend.

Had an early dinner before going to an event at arena. On arrival restaurant had a lively buzz. Food wonderful, dishes from winter a la carte which changes in a couple of weeks, good excuse to return.

I was on my own, having been with a friend 2 weeks previously, and did not feel uncomfortable the staff were lovely, attentive but not over the top, the food was super as before. The inside decoration suits an old warehouse conversion. My all round experience was very enjoyable and I will go back in the very near future

We went there for a business dinner. The Service was excellent and the steaks, well, just perfect! I really recommend this place. Probably in the summer time when the terrace is open it is a way better experience and atmosphere!

Mothering Sunday was delayed by 6 days! However, the delay was more than made up by the fabulous lunch we experienced yesterday. The food was exquisite, the service was faultless and my Mother was delighted with her treat.before we’d been gone a minute, she was wondering when we could return!

Mother's day 🥂 was exceptionally busy but the staff were all fantastic very helpful very polite and attentive without been over bearing. The Sunday lunch was beautifully cooked and presented 'compliments to the chef's'. My only small negative would be the promise of unlimited roast potatoes which wasn't offered☹. It is a little expensive but so worth it. I went with my son who dines there often and will most definitely be visiting again. Thanks for a lovely time
