Havent been to the bradford arms for a couple off years, but pleasantly surprised with the quality off the food today, look forward to returning

Great meal with family then stayed to play the quiz with goergina had a great time will be back next.week for quiz

Great spot with lovely food and lovely atmosphere. The quiz on the Wednesday was great with George being a great host.

Good fun pub quiz and my vegan friend loved the veg on the carvery. He ate every bite and went back for more. Would recommend

Went here today with my family and must say it was the best carvery we have had in a while , such friendly staff, bar and floor, we was looked after by marie who is known as smithy, she couldn't do enough for us really made us welcome and cared for all our needs , will definitely be going back .

Staff are so rude will never be returning. Especially the gothic one with mouldy blue hair, she kept looking to our table and giving dirty looks whilst ignoring our requests. Food was inedible and cold.

Excellent environment and service throughout our visit. Easy to book for 6 people Marie D looked after us from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble.

Visited today for a carvery ( which we use on a regular basis). We were looked after by Rebecca who was lovely nothing was to much trouble. She was kind and polite. Of course we will continue to visit for our carvery fix.

Popped in for a drink this evening, most unwelcoming bar man I've ever been served by, please sort your staff out and employ people who enjoy their job, he actually watched us walk in, turned around and decided to clean his little kitchen area, knowing full well we were stood there waiting to be served, Sunday 27th November, 20.50

We visited for Sunday lunch today and had a wonderful experience. Most of the time with carveries, service can be non existent and it’s more of a help yourself and be left to your own devices but not at the Bradford! Such warm, welcoming and friendly staff. Max was really attentive and ensured we were looked after well - with regular check ins and service with a smile. Thank you Max!

Had fabulous meal - very lovely food prepared and presented well - lovely waitress called Smithy served us and she was a credit to the company as she made our meal and visit even more enjoyable and was a no brainer to leave her a deserved tip 👍😁

My husband and I visited The Bradford Arms (Toby) this afternoon. The waitress was friendly enough, I ordered the “melt in the middle roast (Vegetarian option). We had to wait for my roast to be prepared before we could both eat. The waitress informed us my vegetation option was waiting at the food counter ready for me to choose my veg, potatoes etc. myself and my husband went to the counter, it was virtually empty, no rush or bustle! I asked the chap behind the counter for my “Vegetarian option”! I had not had the choice of vegetarian previously, and I chose my accompaniments and we sat down. I cut into the, what I believed to be the vegetarian option! Infant I had been served the fish not vegetarian option, and had eaten a small amount before checking with the waitress , who said it is the melt in the middle vegetarian option! I replied it is pink inside and must be the salmon! The waitress checked and I had been served the wrong option! I was furious but calm and explained I did not order or eat fish! Another senior staff came over and apologised for the mistake, saying they put fish on the vegetarian choice, I explained if you eat fish you are pescatarian, not vegetarian, she appeared to NOT know the difference!!! and fid not seem to understand the gravitas of the the mistake…I may have had a allergy to the option served? I was offered the actual vegetarian choice l had ordered with no charge, but my husband was already half way through his meal (meat) and would have finished by the time mine would have come! I started to feel sick at the thought of eating fish and just wished to leave, hence I left without having a meal. We were not charged, but the experience was upsetting and avoidable. I will never use the Restsurant in future..please learn from my experience and be more vigilant in future!!!!

Always have a lovely time here, friendly welcoming staff, great pint and lovely meal . Great local, great service and one of the nicest pubs in the area

We visited here in the afternoon for a carvery. There were 5 of us, we hasn't booked but were seated straight away. Our waitress came very quickly and took our drinks orders that were quickly returned too! Our plates were promptly collected and desserts ordered. Food was delicious, our waitress Aimie was very polite and helpful. All in all a great meal and super service.

Spent over 30 minutes waiting for a full breakfast.Its OK if you wanted sausages and beans then go back 10 minutes later for bacon and eggs then another 10 minutes for hash browns and tomatos.Complete and utter mess off a system.People complaining and moaning.I had...

We go to the Carvery at the Bradford Castle Bromwich, regularly. Food is lovely, service is first class, and our usual waitress Rebecca is lovely. She even takes a photograph of our group ( The Hudson booking) Highly recommended.

Went for the carvery,had a 50% off voucher, so they only give you 50% of the meat . One slice of beef and one slice of turkey.then piled up veg so you can’t find it till the end ,they serve it all to you now.on...

The food here does not disappoint, well cooked meat, and lovely vegetables. Our waitress, Georgina was awesome and attentive to our needs. Will definitely come again.

Thanks for putting breakfast on for us before our trip to Wembley. The Yorkshire puds are definitely worth a visit. What a treat.

Todos los años nos reunimos con amigos para nuestro desayuno anual de Navidad y para ponernos al día y pensamos en darle a los brazos de Bradford todo lo que pueda desayunar. . . . . . ¡NUNCA MÁS! ! ! ! ! !Comedor desordenado con mesas sin limpiar. . . . Fui a buscar nuestro desayuno. . . . Sin tocino, ya que todavía se estaba cocinando, por lo que debe llevar su desayuno medio comido al buffet para agregar tocino. . . . Frijoles en el microondas. . . . . NO pudin negro. . . . . salchicha parecía anémica. . . . en la tostada. . . . . autoservicio, pero no hay platos pequeños para que mantengas tu pan tostado y lo mismo con la mermelada simplemente colocada en un tazón sin tazones o platos pequeños, por lo que debes usar tu servilleta para untar mantequilla con tu pan tostado y para tu mermelada y solo te dan uno con tus cubiertos . . . . . se agotaron las recargas de café, se acabó la leche y no hubo bolsitas de té, por lo que debe levantarse para verificar si se ha rellenado,. . . . No deberíamos tener que seguir pidiendo nada al personal, ya que deberían estar al tanto del funcionamiento del buffet. . . . no estaba ocupado allí en absoluto. . . . no volveremos

All the vegetables were tasty, maybe could have been a bit hotter. The only problem was the meat, if the young chap who was carving the meat cut it any thinner you would be able to see through it. We went for dinner on Sunday 20th we were in a party of 3.The chefs are really tight with the meat portions I asked for some more I felt like Oliver.It is not being greedy but the meat portions should be a little more than 3 very small pieces.We would'nt go back there.

Visited today at 10.40 am for breakfast the pub advertises breakfast served till 11amThe were no Yorkshire puddings there were no hash browns. We were told they had run out. The tomatoes and mushrooms were cold We did complain and the complaint was dealt with very well by the young lady on duty. By the sound of it the chefs run things here as there were more complaints on our departure Would not returnOn a plus the front of house staff were very pleasent

Visited here for breakfast with husband and 9yr old daughter, we were greeted on arrival and staff were very pleasant, we were seated and asked what drinks we would like, we then served ourselves to breakfast , it was hot and there was a constant refill of the trays, the food was lovely and our little girl enjoyed having a Yorkshire pudding for breakfast.They do quorn sausage and you have to request this on arrival, overall great value for money and delicious, we are very local so will be visiting again very soon.

Great food. Wouldnt go anywhere else for a carvery. Staff are so lovely here too. Plus I love the unlimited refills on soft drinks and it's great for vegetarians and vegans too.

Over run with hungry people. We were there having a birthday breakfast for my daughter. We were seated very quickly by the poor over worked waitress. We queued for a15 minutes waiting for sausage bacon eggs to come out, instead we were told they would be another 15 minutes. When the food eventually offered it was anemic, it had been rushed and the bacon sausage barely cooked, I understand people had phoned in sick, that’s not the customers problem. Very bad customer service. Won’t be going back there in a hurry.

Had a lovely meal at the Bradford arms the food was so nice and looked so nice even the napkins were brilliant and the mash had waves in it the carver was a tall fella with a beard he had a great personality and was really friendly and took pride in what he did can’t wait to go visit again

Had to book this very last minute as had book a table for 8 at another carvery and when we arrived they had no meat. So went online at 7.15pm and booked for 7.45pm. Arrived at 7.30 and was told that the table would be a few minutes, which was fine we had a drink in the bar while waiting. 7.44 text popped through to say the table was ready a friendly member of staff showed us to our table. All 8 of us had lovely carvery's the plates were warm and the veg hot, definately recommend the spinach with davidstow cheese and the dauphinoise potatoes. 2 of the group had sundae desserts which looked lovely too and they didn't leave any so they must have been good .

Visited today with my friend for breakfast. We were seated by Marie who explained what items were on the breakfast buffet and to help ourselves whenever we were ready. The breakfast itself was fine however, my five star rating is really for the staff member who seated us and cleared away. She was very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to speak to us when we asked for our bill. The Bradford would be a better place to visit if only all your staff members were the same!

Tengo que reírme cuando te preguntan "quieres ir grande". Quizás los tamaños de las placas deberían ser titulados; Sensato; Tipo 2 y Trazo, eso te haría pensar.

Had a wonderful meal today with the family. Staff was very welcoming and friendly! Would 100% recommend this place.

Its a great place to visit everyone is so kind and friendly, they always have a smile to there faces, they always interact with you making sure food its good and make you feel welcome.

Yesterday whilst visiting my mother and sister we decided to go for lunch at the Bradford Arms. Unfortunately we did not decide to leave when left standing at the counter as requested for 10mins (despite the fact that our mother is 91 yrs old) to be seated. The food was terrible. My mother and sister ordered salmon and salad. The salmon was dry and over cooked. The salad consisted a pile of shredded lettuce with two thin slices of tomatoes and two thin slices of cucumber. I ordered the carvery. I received one very thin slice of turkey and a bit of chopped up fatty beef. It was not cheap. The service was terrible and the staff were miserable, possibly because they are understaffed. I would never go there again and definitely would not recommend it!!

First time of eating their carvery and it was very good, plenty of meat and mouthwatering vegetables and plenty of choices, very tasty gravy to top everything off, very pleasant staff there

Decidimos visitar aquí por brekkie basado en las expectativas de otros establecimientos Toby Carvery no muy lejos. Esperamos que nos sentaran por un minuto con el camarero, quien finalmente nos mostró una mesa que pasaba junto a nosotros una vez que no dijo nada, sin embargo, fue canjeado por limpiar y volver a preparar nuestra mesa para nosotros. No todos los artículos de desayuno estándar estaban disponibles, lo cual fue decepcionante. El ambiente era agradable, con la excepción de un borracho a las 09:30 en un día festivo el lunes por la mañana. Lo vimos siendo escoltado solo para que parte de su grupo regresara 10 minutos más tarde, y uno de los de la banda hizo todo lo posible para perforar una ventana ya rota en su camino. Lo bueno era que estaban en el bar, así que Realmente no los vimos.

This used to be the place to eat for a good carvery. If you were hungry, you knew you'd get a good feed served by friendly,jolly chef. Not sure what's happened to them, maybe the Brexit pa lava is affecting their portion sizes?Recently ate there & you'd think the chef had actually paid for the meat himself and didn't want to dish it up. I have never seen such measly portions of meat ever in a carvery. There were 8 hungry bellies in our party and its a good job we were ok with veg and yorkie pud. I thought we'd all gone veggie for a fleeting moment. Not sure i'd rush to eat there again in a hurry. I did not find this meal value for money. We'd paid £7.49 a head for a yorkshire pudding, veg & gravy. Waitress was friendly enough though and it was very clean and tidy.

Standard Toby Carvery with decent pub menu.attentive staff. Lots of spaces to park. Free Parking. I was meeting up with my friends who live locally.

The staff are usually pleasant here and it's a great pub but the service today was poor when we went for our meal. Staff member wasn't very welcoming and was very blunt towards us.

Arrived but had to wait for the carvery as there was an issue with the kitchen. We sat and waited till the meat was put out. The vegetables to be honest could have been better. Multi coloured peas, dry stuffing, roast potatoes a little hard. Had to wait a long time for the deserts to come out. Attention to detail is all that’s needed to make this place better. I understand the issue in the kitchen but not with the cooking or reheating of the veg. Restaurant tables and cutlery clean. Staff helpful. I would visit again just to see what the difference would be with a working kitchen.

Visited the Bradford arms on the 8th of December for family get together, the food isn’t the best to be honest the Yorkshire puddings we’re like frisbees you had to soak them in gravy and I mean soak them to get them part.

Arrived for a Christmas meal only to be told there was no meat as the ovens had 'broken down'. As this was a booking surely they could have rang to inform us. Many of our group had travelled some distance. Rubbish customer service. However we managed to get a late table at Hickory's a short distance away, amazing service and great food.

Visité el asador Toby (brazos de Bradford) el sábado por la noche y el servicio fue increíble, aunque estaba muy ocupado. Nuestra camarera Named Samantha fue muy educada y se aseguró de que estuviéramos contentos y ella corriera porque estaba muy ocupada, pero aún así Seguro que su servicio fue genial. La comida era excelente y el ambiente era bueno, cuando Sam vino a preguntar si nos gustaría pudding y mi hija no pudo decidir qué budín queríamos, así que le pedimos su opinión sobre cuál tendría y escogió algunos. y nos dio un poco de tiempo, pero siempre vuelve para asegurarnos de que estemos felices, muy contentos con mi experiencia volveré otra vez

We visited the Bradford Arms Toby last night 3 friends and myself.Very disappointed with the food which we had to wait some time for as nothing had been refilled.The yorkshires were doughy and pale yellow,the mash was cold,the roast potatoes were pale and hard,the cauliflower cheese was mush,the spinach was a mess and the gravy was a gloomy mess.We told the waitress and she said "I just sell the food"!!!.My find had the sponge pudding which we were told was really light and tasty.IT WASN'T. I recommend that the chefirst goes to the Toby in Sutton park to see how a brilliant Toby is presented their food is first class as is the staff

the staff at the hotel were the best but the room was very poor and sparse the room was like a oven and the hotel had no fans left the soap ran out during my shower and room was not very comfy

Nice cavery. Seating not that great. Very busy.always enjoy the food but always so busy. Wanted to get a drink from bar and was to busy.

A last minute trip here filled the spot and we enjoyed the cavery.Waited about 10 minutes to be seated but on a busy Sunday afternoon it proved to be a good choice and acceptable.Service was good and the food was piping hot had the full range of meats all of which were tasty.Could have been a bit more generous with the meat but all in all a decent meal cost around £10 person cheaper in the week.Would return.

Fui para el cumpleaños de mi marido para comer el domingo con algunos amigos y nos quedamos muy decepcionados. No había sido por un largo tiempo. La comida no era muy buena y luego la comida es incluso peor ahora! Las patatas asadas fueron más allá y prácticamente negro quemado y había apenas cualquier verdura en oferta. Seguramente un crucial además de un asado los domingos? !

The service was good and the staff polite and friendly. I ordered a Cheddar cheese sandwich with chutney because I only wanted a light lunch. However, I was astounded to be served the sandwich with a huge plate of roast potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding with gravy. The menu didn't make it clear that it wasn't just a sandwich but was actually a bigger meal than anything I would expect from the main meals menu. Roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding do not go with sandwiches and serving them with sandwiches is simply an enormous waste of food because you can't eat the amount. The sandwich itself was just a disappointing pile of cheese and a few rings of onion on huge doorsteps of bread. There was no nutritional value in the meal - it was just stodge. The restaurant has certainly gone for quantity rather than quality!

Visited here on a Wednesday night. We’d been before and had been disappointed, but since we’d be told of the refurb we thought we’d give it a second chance. Came here Sunday 11th March with my son and daughter for Mother’s Day.

We visited for the carvery, they have a choice of 4 meats. All of the food was tasty and the staff were friendly.

Showed to a seat but we had to move because someone was already seating there. Pass the bill but was not offered a sweet or another drink, found afterwards my seat was soaking wet, would never use this pub again.

Booked a family meal for eleven at the Bradford Arms for my wife's birthday . We were seated in a room at the back of the pub which was very small . The seating at the table was not ideal there was a lack of elbow room. We booked the meal for 3pm which was a mistake as it was so busy it took 25 minutes from joining the queue to returning to the table with your meal. The vegetables and potatoes kept running out and it took a while for fresh ones to arrive. The meal itself was enjoyable but if we were to eat here again we would go earlier or later in the day .

He estado viniendo aquí y desde que puedo recordar y cada año creo que este lugar tiene peor. El servicio es lento y desagradable. El carvery es el peor que he probado! ! ! La carne estaba llena de grasa y se quedaron sin verduras. Todo el mundo se quejaba y el chef dijo que la única cosa que falta era judías verdes pero estoy hecho había dreg termina de zanahorias y guisantes que estaban secos. Tanto salsa ollas estaba vacío. No sé lo que ocurre en la cocina, pero obviamente no hay un montón de grasa! ! !

Good food but needs a good decorate and you sit so close to each table , can't have a proper chat , all needs upgrading .

Place looks ok from the outside and on the surface it does give that impression. However, the small portions of meat, yorkshire puddings swimming in oil, cold vegetables and worn out filthy, food stained carpets and seating certainly does not come to the standard that you would expect.Yes it is budget priced but that does not mean that an expectation should be reached. See photo of the worn out / dangerous carpet. Add this to the poor paintwork tatty furnishings and overall run down decor and a 'dive' would be a fair description. Sorry but shan't return!

After 22 April we said we would not go back food was over cooked chef was grumpy and desserts were a waste of money so we thought maybe the smoke house was taking all custom as its so popular. Anyway our Grandson said please give it another try as its near home so 7 adults two children have just had a very poor time we went for Calvary which is 9.50 today and it was not worth it .we all combined about beef it was rough more fat than meat no choice for children on a Sunday Alfie sat with two sausage and Yorkshire pudding and peas.My son complained about meat and he said it was for all off us .we order desserts even that never we t right then the bill well 7 adults two children is 9 it said 11 it went back twice then my son took it to work out .It's a shame because we have had some lovely times there but twice in less than a month .you should think because of competition they would get there act together .

Me and Becky to her parents out for lunch and was very impressed with it all. The staff were friendly, the food was hot and fresh and service was prompt regarding our drinks. If I had to give the reasons why it wasn't a 5 I waould have to say our wonky table, no crackling and it seemed to take a little while to pay however I shouldn't complain about not giving money away. Overall well worth it.

I went to the Bradford Arms which is a Toby Carvery. I visited it two years ago and had a nice meal. Although there were vacant tables we were told that the restaurant was busy and we had to wait 25 minutes. When seated after waiting to be asked what our order was we went to the carvery. It was 7-30pm and the meat was shrivelled up and the vegetables dried up and in very short supply. At the end of our mediocre meal we waited ages for a waiter/waitress to come to our table and again waited a long time to have our bill settled. By this time the restaurant was empty but the staff had disappeared.The place was scruffy and a great disappointment. Toby Carveries can be hit and miss. My recommendation is to give this establishment a miss.

Scruffy place. Food very average. The food in the dishes on the carvery had been there a while and was not good. I am vegetarian & had to tell the server to stop using meat utensils in the vegetables. Not a good experience and would not go back

We visited for an all you can eat breakfast and wasn't disappointed. There's a good selection of food and for a small extra fee you can have unlimited tea and coffee. Would definitely visit again.

Felt that the staff were busy rushing around. Waited 20 minutes for our drinks to be served. Chef was miserable and didn't appear to want to be there. The portion of meat was poor. A lot of the vegetables needed filling up. Took staff a long time to take the plates when we had finished. We were not even asked if the meal was ok. Waited ages to order puddings and then they had forgotten about us. We had to chase them. Not a great deal of choice on the dessert menu even though they say they have updated the menu. A lot of the puddings appear to be the same. Overall it was a disappointing meal out.

Since retiring, my wife & I have taken to enjoying the Carvery around once a month. Beautiful food, patient staff, peaceful, no rush atmosphere, and the cost is certainly value for money.Our usual server Max, makes sure we enjoy each and every visit, she is a credit to the establishment.We have ventured elsewhere but end up disappointed and return to the Bradford .. long may they continue.

Me and Becky visited here this morning as both fancied a big breakfast and it really hit the spot. The waitress was extremely welcoming and all other staff were very friendly as well.The food was hot and tasty and if I had to be hyper critical the sausages were a little over cooked however were still yummy and the toaster sent the bread out of the back rather than the front however the lovely waitress rectified it immediately. Well worth the money as me and Becky are still stuffed ten hours on.

Ate here in Feb and was saddened to find the roast potatoes weren't up to scratch, so came back in March when the craving for roast potatoes hit again. Toby carvery is all about the meat and roast potatoes for me and when i visited last week And they were just as awful I sulked! I know different seasons mean different potatoes, but I don't think that's the issue, they just don't look like they've been cooked fresh, i know they have to Cook things in advance so they can restock, but they're dried out, luke warm and in some cases wrinkly or like card board and you can't bite through the outer layer. We even tried to visit at lunch time in the hopes that the potatoes would be fresh, but they still looked like they'd been cooked hours before .Other than the potatoes the meat was very nice, staff looked busy and rushed off their feet as always. I've stopped ordering my free refill drink now because by time you get it (half way through your meal) you're not getting your money's worth, you drink half and then it's time to go.

Popped in tonight for a quick bite, so disappointing. You have to wait to be seat but no one comes to check if anyone is waiting, had to go find someone to ask to be seated, staff members saw the big queue, seated one family and didn't go back to seat the others. food wasn't the best, looked like lunch times food had been kept warm until evening meal, everything was dry. Roast potatoes were disgusting, had to sift through all the hollow ones to try find some plump ones upon trying them, they were Luke warm, inedible, hurt my teeth trying to bite through them then they got stuck in my throat. My plate consisted of turkey roast potatoes and mash, turkey and mash for tea, I could cry! Didn't raise with staff, the 2 members working were running round trying to serve drinks, clear plates and in general looked run off their feet

We popped in for a family car very and again the food was excellent, very tasty and lots of it. The server behind the food service counter needs to cheer up as he had a right miserable face on him but apart from that it was a pleasurable meal and we will always be back for more.

Half way through a company sponsored walk we had booked breakfast , we were running a little late but they kept the buffet open for us.Food was superb and Emma looked after us really well - she is a real star

This old coach house has declined steadily over the years and is now a clone of all the other carveries in the area. Food is average and tends to be boring and tepid with nothing new seen for years. Take your gran for a cosy meal but there is nothing to excite.

A typical Toby Carvery experience. The staff here are pleasant but otherwise there is nothing here that makes it above your average. Indeed similar to several other Toby places I have reviewed, some parts of the building are downright shabby. Check out the condition of the carpets and especially the floor tiling in the bar areas, disgraceful,

Went here with family, we were shown to our table almost straight away and our drinks order brought over quickly. The food was lovely and nice and hot. Choice of beef turkey or ham. Home made radish sauce. All in all the food and service were excellent.

Saturday 6th August 16, we all went for a Netta’s Birthday Celebration meal to ‘The Bradford Arms’ in Castle Bromwich, which is a Toby Carvery. It had been a long time since we last come here and the pub has since been refurbished, and looked nice.Netta, Phillip My husband and I all had carvery dinners. Netta had roast pork, Phillip has roast beef, My husband had gammon and chicken and I had pork and turkey, they were served with a nice selection of vegetables and thick gravy. We washed the meal down with pints of cider for Phillip, IPA Bitter for My husband, a white grape and lychee J2O for me and a large glass of coke for Netta.We all had desserts Phillip and Netta shared a huge lemon frost ice cream sundae. My husband had the strawberry Eton mess sundae with strawberry sauce and I had the Terry’s chocolate orange ice cream sundae with toffee sauce. The sweets were delicious. The food overall was very good My husband and I treated Netta and Phillip to the meal as part of her Birthday gift.
