i had ordered a burger and it came with a piece of rubber served in the burger staff handled it amazingly and bought a brand new meal free of charge

Food was great, service was okay but the experience was lacking. Have been sat by the fire exit and the toilets, the ability to enjoy and eat a meal was quite poor. Not only did other customers leave the fire exit open on several occasions whilst going for a cigarette, the staff left it open too.

Nicola was fantastic. Would never come to this pub if she didn't work here. Absolute credit to your establishment.

The food was nice, our food came out without the beans and when I ordered an extra fries as the portion wasn't very big I asked if it would be long as we just had our food and we'd nearly finished the huge plate by the time they'd arrived. Same with the drink service as I used the app for that one and it arrived by the time we were ready to go. Don't read this as a bad review, they were busy but the staff behind the bar were really friendly just a tip if you eat here to walk to the bar to get drinks quicker unless you're sat in for the afternoon lol.

The staff member Kacee had excellent service she was so polite and happy, she advised us cocktails and brought them over quickly.

Food was fantastic and had a nice range for vegetarians and vegans compared to a lot of other pubs! Really enjoyed and will definitely come again!

Nice place to stay when visiting the bullwell/hucknall area...room very comfortable and the food is lovely and very reasonable....steak was cooked to perfection😁👍 thank you for a great stay.

The staff are lovely and friendly and the meals are good. We were very disappointed with the ice cream sundae however, for nearly £6 we were shocked to get a child's small plastic sundae glass, we have had them in the past 3 times the size. We did query it and were told they were this size now.

Staff very helpful and easy to talk to. Food is very good, plenty of seating, plenty of parking, they do have a few disabled parking. Disable toilets very clean. Would highly recommend this place.

Had a mothers day meal, and although it was busy, it didn't take long for our meals to arrive once we'd ordered. We didn't stay so I can't comment on the rooms. The meal I had was very nice and enough for me, every1 else enjoyed their meals too.

I come for food with my daughter and son. My daughter was playing up and your colleague Caroline was so nice patient and paid lots of attention to my daughter to help. The rooms are very clean. The location is convenient to get the tram to the city. There is a park and ride with free parking 1 km away. The coffee / tea were not replenished during our stay and the bins weren’t emptied, no clean cups supplied on day 2. But it is affordable. The breakfast (included) is pretty basic and budget. We didn’t try the food in the pub but service times were good. I had to remind them of a forgotten item when we ordered drinks on the app. We had a surprise on arrival - they thought we owed £50 on the booking which was strange because we paid in advance.

Hi. Me and my husband came for a meal on the off chance. We try to make a me and him day once in a while, without the kids or grandkids lol.. I must say the food was lovely.. Hubby had steak as usual and I had the chick n mix. We was served by a lovely polite young lady called Caroline, she did a brilliant job in making sure we had everything and if we needed anything else just let her know. Will definitely recommend you to friends and family and to look out for the lovely Caroline.

Well what can I say there were 9 of us who came for a meal and from start to finish we were well looked after Caroline was a brilliant host and we couldn't have asked for better we will deffo be coming back what a nice place and staff

The team at this hotel were helpful and the room was ok but there was no food available when we got back to the hotel early evening and the breakfast was below par also was kept awake by the noise from other rooms like TV etc

The room that myself and my daughter had was clean and tidy but could have had more tea and coffee and maybe some biscuits. However I would NEVER eat in the pub again as the food was inedible and only luke warm. Disgusting attempt to cook pie, peas and powdered mash. AVOID the eating area.

We came here the other week, I've been a few times before this and it always is up to our standards. However on one particular visit, we had a server named Caroline. And she went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after all throughout the time we spent there. Will be returning, and will be sharing this experience with family & friends.

the bowman never fails to disappoint when either going out for food and drinks with friends, or going out for a date night with my parther. on the night i came, i had the server caroline. she was amazing, all night, great person to speak to. so great company, and kept checking up on us throughout. was a lovely time, and she just put the cherry on the top of it. will always be a returning customer because of people like caroline!

I have come here a few times recently and each time I have had exceptional service. My most recent visit, I was served by Caroline who was polite and super friendly. She was great to talk to and all round a delight. She got our drinks to us super quick and same with the food. Overall, she made a good experience great so shoutout to Caroline!

Came in for a family meal and the whole experience was amazing. The duty manager Caroline took great care of us, always smiling and happy to help, nothing was too much for her and it made us all feel really welcome and valued. Stayed over at the hotel for a family party. Everyone made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. The pub was really inviting the staff and the service was amazing 🤩 will definitely book again

I visited the Bowman last weekend for a meal with the family. I was pleasantly surprised. The service was brilliant, the food was lovely and we were particularly looked after by Jess, who was kind and helpful. Will absolutely be visiting again.

Took a large party of over 30 people for a special birthday meal. The pub was extremely organised and the service was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was served promt with no issues. The bar staff was excelllent. i’ll be re-booking very soon

Child being violently sick 30mins after eating small childrens meal this evening (14 Feb 24). Table was not clean, menus had food and sauce on them as well. Will not be returning. Attracts people that use drugs, which is visible at time from the outside and smelt on site.

Food was alright, it was pretty busy but we managed to get a table. The menu was covered in food pretty gross. As places to eat go it wasn't overly priced, nice atmosphere. Private parking.

Service was OK ordered the chicken mix it came out cold but was quickly changed

Disappointing. Just back after booking a table at the Bowman for New Year's Day lunch. The service was extremely poor with two of the four main courses being forgotten by the waiting staff. It was only once they were reminded, that they "rushed" to get the missing courses to the table followed by an insincere apology. The food was of an acceptable standard but one of the four dishes (the enchiladas) was not very warm and the tortillas were hard (most likely because it had been sitting waiting whilst they cooked the other missing dish). The quality of the surroundings was dire with wallpaper and paint peeling from the walls. The gents toilet did not have any toilet paper, and the floor was covered in, what at best, could be described as water but, judging by the smell, was more likely to be urine. The restaurant was not busy so there's no excuse for the poor service witnessed today. The staff working today did not seem to be bothered or care about customer service.

We stayed over Christmas and wasn't told about the heating not working. I had to go to the bar to complain and they said, the hotel boiler isn't working and there's no heating in the hotel and I will find a kick heater in the room. The next night, I asked another guest, Do you have heating? They said yes, the heating has worked for them since they got there. So the manager clearly lied to us, so we won't be stopping again. The hotel wasn't full so don't know why they didn't give us another room?

Disappointed. We came for my birthday today and the food had multiple mistakes, items missing off majority of the meals. Food cold & the desert (sundae) had Maltesers that tasted stale. Not happy considering we spent just under £100 and to begin with it wasn't exactly busy to warrant so many mistakes. Not the birthday meal I imagined. Sadly probably won't come back again and used to come quite often.

Great little gem, quite popular with locals. Bed and breakfast are available too. Food was very good comments to the chef all this I did not stay the night I have heard that the bedrooms are comfortable and nice

All the pub grub favourites cooked and presented well with friendly service. Good location with ample parking. Having tried both, I would recommend ordering at the bar instead of using the phone app, as usually the drinks are served at the same time as food when ordered by app.

More Training needed Ordered cappuccino it was terrible clearly the staff haven't been trained how to use the coffee machine. I find this happens alot in chain pubs that put in an espresso machine. Had to then ask for my change as he forgotten. Also Guinness was a little Ropey, ready for a line clean I expect.

Only used the pub, casey was our main waitress and was exceptionally friendly, made our dining experience very pleasant. We felt very welcome and entertained. I'll definitely be back again.

Steak and sharer dishes are to die for. Great price point.
