I rented this bar for a private event and had an absolutely amazing time! The bartenders and DJ were fantastic and brought a great energy to the party. Would highly recommend this bar!

Fab bar, great DJ who mixed up a groove

Had a great time re-visiting recently, with my wife….the last time I was there having been our first date 13 years ago. (Don’t live in London anymore!) The bar staff were great, and really passionate about the drinks they were mixing. We were early - ish, around 6-7.30 so the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, and music subdued so we could enjoy a chat and reminisce.

What does it look like? A strangely unassuming and barely advertised private basement at the bottom of some narrow metal steps. What is it? An absolutely unique hidden gem in Fitzrovia where measures are most pleasantly measured (in the friendliest way!) and where cocktails can be whatever you want them to be...except expensive. The bartenders will at no warning belt out songs with the locals and dance on tables with Dominican style. Rare rums and interesting wines abound. We came for one drink and stayed for 6.

Had the best night here. Really good atmosphere, drinks and the bartenders were absolutely the best. So much fun and really know how to get a party going

Birthday evening there last night (Saturday night)- just wanted to say a big thankyou as we had such a good evening. The bar staff were so fun, attentive and really friendly to everyone (and made a great picante!!). The booking was super easy through email, where I got a really quick response. The venue is perfect for a group get together: excellent drinks at really good prices for London, good DJ with seating or area for dancing for a group of all ages/vibes. Thankyou for a great night!!!

Lovely cocktail bar - interesting cocktail menu, good music and very nice staff. We tried the It’s Nut A Date, the Kyoto Plum Blossom and a marguerita, all of which were very nice.

Stumbled on this lovely little bar while looking for somewhere for a pre-dinner drink. Small, intimate venue, friendly and competent staff, great drinks including, if you need such a thing, a gluten-free beer. Didn’t try the food. Felt much less intimidated in here I.e. not at all, than I did by the rowdy crowds spilling onto the pavement from the other establishments nearby.

Absolutely the most seediest place, every one and I mean every one just barges through you and never apologizes, its the smallest room for a bar I have ever seen, the clientele were just awful. I felt a very bad vibe here , just waiting for it to kick off.

Smelt of poo. Interesting cocktails but they can’t have much booze in them as no one got drunk and we were there for hours. Good bar staff.

First time here and what an absolutely lovely place it was. Brilliant atmosphere, brilliant staff, drinks are very well made. Best old fashioned I have ever tasted. Apologies to the DJ if I was annoying and well done with the banging tunes. Everyone was up and dancing. Love this place and will definitely be back.

Best place for the food and drinks

Hidden away at the corner of Rathbone Place and Percy Street, it is one of those hidden London gems that just thrive on good cocktail making with both classic and new recipes that are pleasing to the eye and the taste buds. Very very small place located in the basement. We went early afternoon without booking but it gets busy very quickly towards the evening.

Nice little and lively intimate place, tucked away off of Tottenham Court Road. Cocktails are a fair pour and nicely balanced. Would recommend for boogie/date night 👌

Cosy little cocktail bar with great music and staff. The bar is conveniently located in Soho close to the tube station and has a great selection of their own cocktails with the bartenders happy to make the classics as well. Would definitely recommend but they can get super busy so make a booking!

I am quite surprised to read other reviews here saying the staff are friendly. The reviews that say that are not recent however, so maybe the staff have changed for the worse, or they were having a really bad day, that is all I can think of. I had the worst experience I've ever had in a bar. The bar staff were rude, disrespectful and I’ve never felt more humiliated. I would recommend going somewhere else for drinks.

I've had an awful experience there, being humiliated and mistreated by rude staff. London has amazing pubs and bars to go, I would recommend skipping this one and have some fun somewhere else.

My friend booked for 12 but due to the size of the bar we ended up taking over. We were all dressed in white which definitely raised eyebrows but the staff were incredible and let us takeover and play a load of our own music. Cannot thank them enough for humouring us and giving our friend a truly memorable birthday.

We went to the Fitzrovia branch recommended by ‘Design my night’ as a secret bar with a ‘laid back front room atmosphere, expecting an alternative to the loud, overly packed bars in the area. Quite the opposite, music blasting to attract people from outside, rather than focusing on being different. Would be lovely if they owned the aesthetic publicised.

Really nice experience had in B&H! We didn’t make reservation but the staffs are so nice and welcoming, they squeezed us in and switched a even better sit later. Really good service! Drinks are also remarkable, the menu is super creative.

This is a cosy, friendly lovely spot with drinks which are sensibly priced for Central London. The only issue, which goes to the core of the business, is that my espresso martini was way too bitter. I would be probably go back but for their other drinks only.

Has the From Dusk till down flavour so if that is your thing... Fantastic service and interesting cocktails tho.

This is the 3rd time I have been here with clients - but I don’t think I could go back again as I always come out with mixed thoughts: Service today was a little clumsy and invasive. Food was poor. Braised beef tough and over cooked. Aubergine dish very bland. A shame as it’s a stylish venue. It was very quiet for a Friday lunchtime so perhaps this is telling..

Cool bar, really like the atmosphere. We had booked a table and it wasn't available even though we came late so just had to stand around another table which was a bit annoying. Cocktails were delicious and there's a speakeasy vibe, but that also meant we couldn't actually read the menus in the dark. Reasonable drinks prices.

First time visiting this venue after hearing some great things from my friends and we were not disappointed. The bartender who served us all night (believe his name was dan) was nothing but entertaining, informative and couldn’t have gone any further in making sure our night ended with a bang. Would highly recommend this venue to my other pals as well as dan’s skills as a bartender as I’m sure they would appreciate his dedication to the industry

A brunch comparable to the best anywhere in the US. Large choice of warm dishes and cold salads, superb tea and cakes and extremely friendly service. This doesn't get any better!

We visited last night for cocktails. The cocktails were delicious (recommend the fomo and their version of the dark and stormy) and the staff went beyond the call of duty in their friendly service. Great atmosphere too

Nice, very casual spot for cocktails and music. Quite rustic and laid back. Small spot so would recommend booking if you are in a group. Cocktails were nice. Staff pleasant. Furnishings could do with an update although that's maybe part of the charm of the place..

I wasn’t expecting this place to be so small and underground. Regardless, we thought we’d give it a go. The cocktails were below average- the orange slice which came with our spritz was dried and shrivelled like potpourri! Also weird atmosphere and decor. There’s much better places round Charlotte street for a cocktail.

Love this venu small but felt homely

We were due to visit on 6 June - 4 of us, including relations from Australia but B and H cancelled our booking in favour of a block booking. We booked months ago. I am disgusted that a restaurant thinks it can do this. This was to have been an enjoyable evening with rarely seen relations - now ruined. Don't trust this organisation. They offered us a free drink in compensation which is pathetic. Don't book ahead. You can't trust them. In fact avoiding at all costs is the best policy.

Ok. Creative drinks menu, and very nice to see some nice and imaginative non alcoholic options. But - Very small, very loud, toilets smell very strongly of mould/damp and even the non alcoholic drinks are £7.

Get your head round the decor and building and you’ll love it, great drinks and great staff. Very friendly and helpful bar staff

When you talk about one of those places in London that's hidden then this is it. It couldn't find the entrance as it was dark but once I got in it was pretty cool. Its a dark, small and cosy but the bar staff are pretty talented and entertaining when making the drinks. They have a good array of drinks. I didn't try any food so I can't comment there. It's swanky and fun. Worth a try...

Totally instagrammable bar tucked downstairs - although you can't miss it from street level with their outdoor lighting (you'll see what I mean!). It's pretty compact, so either arrive early or book a table. Really nice range of cocktails and really lovely bar tenders. Even the toilets are pretty! Down in the basement of a Fizrovia corner is this lovely bar. Tables are by booking only, but we managed to sneak in just before peak time. The table service was great, the prices reasonable, and the flavours of the cocktails were superb. Lovely selection, and great presentation. Not your 'normal' cocktail selection, but some lovely twists on some classics. Would recommend booking in advance but definitely worth a visit.

We’ve had a reservation for a party of six and we were coming for my birthday party. As we were running a bit late from our dinner restaurant we called the bar to explain the situation. The stuff assured us that it wasn’t a problem. By the time we arrived at the venue our table was given to someone else. The guy with a full arm tattoo said that they waived our reservation. No apology- nothing! I wonder if it was related to the fact that we’ve had 3 black ppl within our party. We left this unfriendly and unprofessional place very disappointed! I suggest anyone to not go to this place...

One of my favourite cocktail bars in central London. My boyfriend and I come here occasionally on a quiet weekday (to avoid busy times) and every time we've come, the bartenders have been very attentive and passionate about what they make which is a bonus!

If I could give no stars I would do. Booked a table for 6 but were told if you booked on the website we couldn’t guarantee being seated or seated together? The staff thought it a relief when we left as they were showing little sign of helping us.

Really great food. Came for a bottomless brunch! 100% worth the money, and Matt (the waiter) was spectacular! Also the room has plants are nice ! WOULD RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND
