Terrible terrible place. Living next to them is a nightmare. After closing time they have staff parties and are extremely loud until past 10pm Shout and blast the music which we can hear from the apartments. Please don’t give your money to Boulangerie Jade near Victoria Park they’re very rude and don’t care about the residents.

Boulangerie Jade in Bexleyheath is a delightful find! The pastries are outstanding, with each bite showcasing their dedication to quality. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making it a cozy spot for a delicious breakfast or afternoon treat. Highly recommend stopping by for a taste of their exceptional baked goods!

The place looks nice enough. But very pricey. I bough a loaf of bread and that costed me 8 pound. The bread was nothing special. The most expensive piece of bread I ever bought.

Decent enough breakfast but cramped tables. We had breakfast previously outside but at this visit we were on a table that was too small - my wife couldn’t actually move her arms to eat! The food is fine - decent bacon and sausages.

I had been to Greenwich earlier with a small foldable ebike, to which establishments were more than happy to welcome in. Left me feeling rather happy, so much so that I will return to them later. Not here. What a foul attitude, which left me with a sour taste for some time. Unfortunately it was the only place with decent sweet treats and given Father's Day, I had no choice but to buy. I won't return, not to any of the chains. Sad really, the food wasn't bad.

Despite the fact that the staff at Blackheath cafe are quite grumpy and super slow (my average wait here in a queue to order is always no less than 15min), I keep coming back as Boulangerie Jade offers the best pastry options in the area. I love their apple pie, and the donut-shaped green souffle is just delicious.

Indifferent staff and poor food is not a report I want to make of a local cafe but so it is. A miserable chicken avocado baguette was in truth a mayonnaise filled void with less chicken than Ben and Jerry’s ! Surly service makes this small village cafe a must to avoid in a village packed with acceptable competitors

This place looks dirty and the food is not good. Disappointing place. The pastries are not nice. They have sandwiches and ready meal to put in microwave to serve, their quiches are overcooked.... and it’s dirty !

I finally visited Jade (Tranquil Vale branch) after living fairly nearby for years. On entry into the shop I was asked almost immediately what I wanted by the polite and friendly young girl serving but I didn’t know so looked for a few minutes. I decided to have the butternut squash quiche which was, at £2.95, a little overpriced I think. I had it as takeaway and ate it in the nearby Greenwich Park but if at home it would’ve been nice with some salad. The quiche was lovely and I would have it again. This branch is located in the heart of Blackheath and close to the Common and other local amenities. I would return.

Let me get this out of the way. I loved the previous business, The Scullery. I loved the mentality of the owner, Colin and the team he had around him. I was so sad to see it change hands. However, after some teething problems Boulangerie Jade has hit its stride. I am often here on my laptop and am always made to feel completely welcome. The mix of lone workers, couples, kids and Mums works really well as it is reasonably spacious and everyone seems really patient with each other. The coffee and cakes are GREAT, as is the brunchy style menu. Consequently its always really buzzy at the weekends. The team know what they are doing and more importantly they care. I think the new GM is called Anderson, and he couldn't be more helpful. Another cool point is that they have a french radio channel playing in the background. I love it.

We had breakfast there few weeks ago. We enjoyed the baguette as we felt that, for UK standard, it is good. However, the place is so small that everytime you move, you either bumped into something or the people on the other table. I also think that the people working there should now a bit more about the food ob sale. It is a french bakery and when you order in the food using the french word, none of them understand! Also, the coffee wasn't great and the cup i was served in was chipped! However, my oh ordered a pain au chocolat and we both agreed that it was absolutely wonderful. We also bought madeleine, Amandines, Eclair and mille feuille for take away. The madeleine was not fresh and i think they are the worst madeleien we have ever had. The pastries, on the other hand, were quite nice, but a bit too sweet for our taste. Price wise, the cafe is a bit on the pricy side.

I've bought pastries from here before and loved them but today bought a baguette to eat for lunch. It was tasteless (I was expecting that authentic French flour taste), had a texture of cardboard and contained large air pockets - actually there was a lot less bread than it seemed. Prices are high so the least they could do is ensure equivalent quality!

Went with the mother in law and hunny...my was put me off my tea after bringing it twice and milk was off and split when in the drink...twice. food wasn't better..ordered soup of the day which was thick as cream and warm...bread was burnt and no butter with it...mother in law ordered omelette whixh was overdone and burnt along wirh her toast too. She couldn't finish it and the oil was used for other stuff as it had a fishy taste to it and she ended up having the runs. The huaband had buttermilk pancakes...was also old and only good thing was the fresh fruit whixh wasn't generous topping. Only 4 blueberries and a quarter of baby sized banana that was split into half. Their coffees were also cold. Never ever going back as it wasn't cheap for such bad quality food. I had to even go to the til to pay at end as the staff weren't tentative and was waiting a long time for the bill and then for them to come back to take money.

This is local to me and I've been visiting for 4 years. I agree the menu is a little confused but it always is well presented and tastes delicious. I'm so sad the amazing cakes are no longer available. They stopped last year I believe. The replacement ones are unfortunately not nearly as wonderful. The staff are usually rally friendly and helpful. I've had one very poor experience with a female staff member being off with my tiny dog but every other time the staff have been lovely and give water and sometimes even treats. Such a great experience! I suspect the rude waitress was just having a bad day so it won't put me off going again :)

Just across from Southwark tube. Popular for rolls and sarnies but is a cake desert! Even had none of those advertised on their menu boards. Workmanlike.
