Boujee Bar & Grill in Bedford

I booked a table ages ago for my boyfriends birthday as he loved it there. We turned up and it was closed! No one bothered to tell us that they were not open. I checked their business hours and looks like they are only open Fridays now. Tried to call them and it says the number is not recognised and no reply to my email either. Don’t waste your time!! Awful customer service with no communication.

Lobster tails were amazing!😊 Prices were okay, we booked last minute for a birthday and they gave a free dessert with sparkles and it made the night for sure! Defo recommend 👍

We went on a Saturday evening and it was very quiet…the service was really good! Wasn’t busy so wouldn’t expect service to be bad. The food was okay, nothing special and the cocktails weren’t great…more like drinks with mixer. Overall good service and okay food and drinks…I think a lil refurb of the place can really do it justice.

I will only say 1 Word… EXCEPTIONAL. Went here for my husbands bday and was not prepared for such an amazing experience. Food was delicious, drinks were well mixed and staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable. For starters we had Calamari and wings which were very tasty mains we got lobster tails and burgers which were CHEFS KISS. Drinks also nicely priced at 2 for 10. Highly recommended to Avery one ☺️👍

My wife thought this would be a good local place for the two of us to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately it turned out to be a complete disaster. The place was small and pokey, more like a small basement cafeteria than a restaurant. The cheap and nasty Halloween decorations did little to improve the ambience. After almost an hour and a half of waiting in vain for our food to arrive, we decided to leave. A lot of other customers also sent food back that was burnt to a crisp and others also left after a long wait to be served. The waitress also struggled with the heavy wooden platters and dropped expensive lobster tails on the floor. The place was also freezing cold with a draft blowing down the stairs and we had to keep our coats on. Drinks orders also took forever to arrive. The second Singapore Sling we ordered was just a glass of fruit juice with no alcoholic content whatsoever! When the Manager went to check on our food order he never returned. My wife had also paid a £10 deposit to reserve my lobster tail which they refused to refund to us! I wanted to award them no stars at all but could only post this review if I selected one. Totally ruined my birthday!

Dont be fooled by the Instagram, this place is an unfinished dump! Half the menu was missing which nobody was made aware of to begin with. Rude and threatening staff Do yourselves a favour and swerve this place as you will only be disappointed.

Well…. Where do i start.. Facebook ad and website looked great.. Took my wife here for our date night…. Arrived to music that was not to be expected for a restaurant, well to loud which might explain why the waitress didn’t take our order correctly. Halloumi which was ordered with chips and garlic bread ‘as a main’ came out as a starter. When it did come back out with the main (45-50 mins) after ordering. It was cold and not with the chips or Garlic bread. Peppercorn sauce which was ordered with the steak never arrived, even when chased up, just like the chips. Manager listened to complaint and offered discount, but the chips and peppercorn sauce still didn’t arrived. We witnessed 4 other tables with problems, 2 walked out due to the wait and a group didn’t get their orders as they wanted. The excuse given was ‘they were still training’…. Seemed as the complaints came in the manager disappeared and left the female front of staff to fend off the problems. We were given 50% off the meals and this seemed acceptable for what i can only describe as the worst meal experience i have ever had. Even trying to pay the bill took more time then it should of… What looked like a Hidden gem is sadly a very bad experience i do not wish to repeated. N.b when told we weren’t going to pay full price before they offered a discount we were told we had to pay for what we ordered… They were reminded of consumer rights and that we weren’t paying for bad service, only then did we get offered discount.

What was supposed to be a romantic meal turned out to be an all round awful evening. We were seated, asked about allergies, which is great but some dishes were missing from the menu & the staff didn't seem to have knowledge of ingredients, neither was it checked! Our order took 45mins to arrive, when it did arrive the order was incomplete. I had asked for light bites & sides to come as a main, this was reiterated wice to 2 different members of staff. It came out as starters & was cold! Even then it didn't all come out together & some of my order was missing. My husbands peppercorn sauce was missing as were my chips, we chased this, were told it was coming...neither arrived. I can recommend the garlic bread as this was the only component of my dish that came out hot. My halloumi was cold and dry! I'm sure it would have been nice had it been served hot. Can't comment on the chips as they never arrived. Music was far too loud, which is probably why my waitress got the order wrong. At least 4 tables left as they had waited long enough for their food. The staff challenged me when I refused to pay for food that was cold, my 'meal' was incomplete. They insisted that we pay, albeit organised for a 50% discount across all items. Had my husband not been there I wouldn't have paid a penny! I hope they manage to pull it together as I'm sure it has the potential to be nice. I apologise for the negative comments, however I must speak as I find.

Absolutely embarrassing. Over 80 percent of the menu missing:- No beef No half chicken No halloumi No lobster tail They found it funny, on a Friday night. No options, request a conversation in regards to the bill after asking for five main meals Before we could be accepted with request. Also no curry goat. Attitude stunk. Flooring in disgusting. Decor is terrible. Looks a blag. Luckily realised service charge was £50 and they discounted so thank you, can’t knock that. But they realised it was a pathetic performance with a attitude that was unbelievable towards customers. Not a family nor a couple venue. A venue suited for a floor restorer, a chair upholster, a table repair and attitude replacer. Threaten woman prior to leaver because they express there disappointment made to feel scared and vulnerable, We had to ask are partner to leave because the attitude made us feel for our partner threatened

I went with my daughter as a flyer she had seen had whett her appetite. The decor is tacky with shabby furniture (nothing chic about it) and fake flowers collecting dust everywhere. The calamari was chewier than a rubber bone and the steak in our sizzler platters was about the same. There was an offer on cocktails though, which were mixed and served well. I won't be going back and wouldn't recommend to family and friends.

Visited this restaurant today for lunch with my sister. Was truly amazed with the service, quality and quantity of food. Very satisfied and would highly recommend.

Visited for the first time last night with my wife, as we walked down the stairs all we could hear was loud conversation. Food was absolutely lovely and doesn't fit with the atmosphere/ decor. You can hardly hear yourself think let alone have a nice conversation with your other half opposite you without shouting. I can only describe it as having a lovely meal sitting in the middle of a dance floor of a nightclub/ bar. We could hardly hear our waitress. A stereo on a shelf at the side near a corner i can only describe as maybe a poledancing area. Like i said great meal but you need to decide what your audience is. As we left at approx 2100hrs there was a bouncer outside 😂

Absolutely incredible food! Cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. Warm and welcoming staff, very attentive and ready to offer house specials… would definitely recommend! Located in the heart of Bedford, and truly a hidden gem! 10/10

We drove over an hour to get there as the food looked amazing online..... definitely worth the drive! it exceeded all expectations - a relaxed atmosphere and every dish got better! I would recommend the halloumi starter, the king prawns and lobster tail. The staff...

Really excited to visit here, the name itself told me the sort of feel it should have but unfortunately didn’t really live up to it. Starters were good, beef skewers and calamari however our mains were extremely disappointing. T - bone steak with between 1/4...

Came here for a friend's birthday, loved the food and drinks, staff were new and still training however they were very polite and explained as much as possible, probably the best food in bedford, would highly recommend
