Breakfast took 1 hour to arrive, no explanation or forwarning it would take that long. Table booked for birthday brunch, the person whos birthday it was had to leave before breakfast arrived! When it did arrive the bacon was overcooked, egg was hard, the hash brown was like a brick and the whole breakfast was cold. To top it off they forgot an order! When we complained at payment the excuse was they were too busy with all the tables being filled and a lot of takeaways. No offer of gratis drinks due to the wait, just a what do you expect attitude. I suggest cutting the number of tables or stop take aways at busy times. A complete waste of money and suggest that you dont waste yours.

The “poached” eggs were overcooked, bacon like a stone, cold, too expensive for what we got. Not coming back. Coffee is nice though.

Food was really delicious and coffee was excellent. Nice warm vibes in the place. A real hidden gem but worth seeking out.

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience. Me and my girlfriend we came couple of times over and we are really big fun of latte art. Visited many coffee shops and we had big expectation from this place looking on the website. Unfortunately is not the Barista fault as apparently he was left alone on a shift were he is still learning how to make a proper latte art. Everything was wrong, from A to the Z. I do believe that the managers should train someone properly before putting them on a shift by themselves. Hope to come back and try something better. And for you Barista, you are a good man but your supervisors aren’t the best.

This was our second visit here for breakfast. Botanica is popular with locals. Unfortunately we wouldn’t recommend it. The wait staff seem to spend most of their time standing around and chatting behind the counter. Lots of take away drinks orders served while we waited for our drinks. Unclear why you can’t order a cooked breakfast after 12 on the weekend but can still construct one by adding extras to the brunch menu - which is overpriced, e.g. nearly £4 for one sausage or two small pieces of bacon. The food always ends up sitting on the pass for ages before the wait staff bring it to the table. Also if your sour dough bread toast is going to be rock hard you should at least provide sharp knives!

Turkish eggs on the menu! Really well made and tasted delicious with a side of halloumi. Lovely ambience with all the plants and staff very welcoming and friendly.

Went along for a birthday breakfast brunch and although the staff were pleasant and the atmosphere was nice the main reason we were here was to be fed. given the price of the food we were hoping for some adult portions however the smashed avocado was below average on this front. One slice of thin sourdough bread with a spread of avocado for 7.70? A few had the full English priced at almost 15 hard sterling. Again we were trying decipher where the money had gone.

In the area and popped in, to support a small business. Food and coffee 5* Prices fair. Atmosphere 5* clean, chill, relaxed, casual, with plants all around ❤️ Service just average. Received the minimal expected standard 3* Makes a great breakfast place for locals. Notes to self: benefit of doubt extended…RBF/cold vibe (woke on wrong side or tired?) from walking in to everything after. Definitely would come again IF in the area for breakfast. Parking available on the estate. Dining is upstairs (no lift). Toilet located downstairs (street level).

Fab veggie breakfast and coffees. Mushrooms out of this world! Hidden gem. The choices were fab. Will be back!

Blimey, what great food and coffee. Took my bike for an MOT and popped upstairs for a coffee. Have to say the best Bacon bap I’ve ever had. Lovely coffee too. Great atmosphere and lovely people. Will definitely be back.

This cafe is hidden away but beats anything in town. Delicious options for all, from tasty home made baked beans to perfect crispy bacon and the best coffee. The staff are nice, and everything is done with pride and attention to detail. A winner!

If you enjoy great coffee this is the place to come. The food is great too with a great selection of yummy cakes

We had been recommended this lovely little place and we weren’t disappointed. Great menu with lots of home made options. The hash browns are amazing. I had the full English which was delicious. We’re actually going back again tomorrow morning and have booked again for the end of October to take some friends there too. Highly recommend Botanica.

I'm confused, we ate here yesterday after following in insta and being recommended by friends. We arrived to be greater by the chef as soon as we go to the top of tge stairs, we asked for a table for 2 and he told us to wait. A waitress came and ooo ok, hold on ill have to check. She said she would need to clear a table for us and pointed to 2 tables for 2 that we can choose from. There were lots of clean empty tables we could have sat on but I thought they must have been reserved. We we're asked to wait which we did. We sat down and looked at the menu, I mis-read the menu and thought the breakfast options were not available but thought I would double check. The waitress said no we had missed the breakfast options. We had to ask to place our order after a while. When I said to the waitress that came to take our order could I add toast to the courgette lunch she said we not order breakfast?? Turns out it was only the full breakfast not available. I ordered a Matcha latte extra hot as I know I prefer my drinks hotter than most. It came and was luke warm at best. They replaced it really quickly. The food was really lovely, and I would visit again for the food but we were made to feel really uncomfortable and kind of an inconvenience when we got there. It's worth mentioning that the other tables that we weren't offered weren't sat at the whole time we were there.

Honestly we were a little underwhelmed. We had coffees to start which we actually finished before the food even arrived. Both had the full English and everything was so over cooked that my jaw felt like it had a workout. The “poached” eggs were cooked longer than hard boiled with no runny yolk to be seen anywhere, I put the fork in the bacon and it broke in half so had to eat it with my hands, the sourdough toast had no butter on and the crust was black. The coffees were really good and they’re pastries looked amazing but the breakfast for us was just too over cooked on all aspects.

Came here for a quick coffee ended up having that plus an amazing bacon bap! Lovely little space, nice and chill perfect place to study/ relax. Great team of baristas and chefs would recommend to everyone

Quite simply the best breakfast I have had in years. Great tables and excellent service. A gem. Hidden in an industrial estate but do not be put off. The attention to detail and thought that has gone into each plate is remarkable. Thank you so much.

We are local to the town and decided to try Botanica after hearing great things by word of mouth and can honestly say we were not disappointed at all! Don’t be put off by the trading estate location as the food is worth the visit....

I visit Botanica alone or with friends at least once a week and the service, quality of (dairy free!) coffee and food is just fantastic. Love their seasonal menus but the homemade full English is amazing. Thanks for being my favourite vanilla oat latte makers!

The bircher was literally like autumn in a bowl. So delicious and comforting. My husband had the full English which was equally yum, good portion size as well 👌 Service spot on, setting lovely. Definitely one to visit!

Botanica is a delightful place with great staff and they serve a delicious full breakfast that was cooked to perfection for the toast to the vine tomatoes. They also serve a lovely cup of tea made with quality loose leaves. Ken

Delicious brunch in lovely botanical surroundings, with plants dotted all around the cafe. There are breakfast staples like full English breakfast but also more inventive dishes like the babka french toast (which we opted for). Great coffee and friendly, informative staff too.
