Had. Nice meal here will go again

Popped in for hot drinks - we chose Hot Chocolates which were very warming. Comfy chairs with open plan entrance. Air con inside was switched on whilst we were there which made the place quite chilly. We finished our drinks & left

Asked for a CLUB SANDWICH came to us as a toasted sandwich then asked for a PLAIN TOASTED BAGUETTE came as a warm untoasted baguette. At least the pepsi was ok. Please do not waste money in there go to the corner cafe opposite Vodafone we got we we asked for, Boswell's should have a ZERO on the stars

Busy coffee shop - Various beverages sold and they also have a lunch/light bite menu.

Always have good service and good food here. Nothing to complain about. Huge variety of food too. Good baby seats. Lots of room for pushchairs especially outside (which is really inside). Definitely will return

We went to this cafe on Saturday 22nd June. Both me and my partner ordered baked potatoes with side salad. The baked potatoes were lnot hot at all,and the salad looked like it was days out of date, with the peppers soft , limp and withered, the lettuce and red onion also looked.like they were out of date, with brown patches on them, and again were soft, floppy and limp when on your fork. I have not been here before and would definitely not go here again. With so many other cafes in newport to go to, I would chose somewhere else. Not worth the money

Nice quiet location for food and drink and popular with older folk who obviously know they're not overpaying for the privilege.

Good atmosphere, tasty food and coffee for reasonable prices, place is clean, staff is friendly.

Had a jacket potato with coleslaw and cheese and it looked and tasted amazing, service was top class. The food was out so quick and effective. I will definitely be back.

This place is amazing. The food and the coffees are great. Our big point is the alternative milk (coconut) and it’s available but the difference from the mainstream cafés is the proper breakfast with vegan options and traditional select of quality dishes. The service is amazing, they’re not sticking to the menu, you can customize your breakfast. They’re smiling and being very polite and patient. They do table service for the dishes too. The place is huge with many tables and comfy sofas, chairs. Thank you so much for the 5-star experience to Hennadii and Hannah!

Beautiful little cafe in the kingsway, reasonably priced, and a wide selection of food and beverages to choose from. Seating is inside and outside in the main lobby of the shopping centre, and even though it was 10am, not so busy. It does sit in and take away, so it's a good selection if you need a coffee on the way to work! I totally recommend it, and I look forward to going again.

Staff lovely. Teacakes were stale and coffee cappuccino was cold. Tables took a while to get cleared.

Needs to be more clean lot of dishes specially cutlery s and tea pots cups are not clean enough grabby

Great place to go for a quiet snack or lunch in the middle of Newport. With good reasonably price food, and lovely staff.

Me and my husband had beautiful slice of cake and drinks. Staff was really helpful aswell. We also had our beautiful granddaughter along for day.

Didn't eat just a catchup with friends

Absolutely appalling service, the foreign woman with the short black hair behind the till was so unhelpful, dismissive and quite frankly rude. The young girl serving the tea was also very unprofessional and seemed as though she didn't want to be there. Avoid at all costs!!!!

I decided to have a pot of tea for a change. It was a good cuppa and at nice low price. There were n't many people about the place that time but I don't hold it against them. The rest of the Kingsway area was quiet as well.

It was thirsty work being dragged around shopping for holiday outfits ;-) so we were tempted into Boswells by the look of their delicious smoothie poster and boy did they hit the spot! Service was fast and friendly, turned out my friend went to school with the girl who worked there, small world considering she was visiting! Lots of seating and very comfortable too. Nice and quiet so we could chat and we didn't feel rushed. I highly recommend the mango and pineapple smoothie - yum!

A lovely cafe. Cakes lovely and fresh. Very nice sandwiches too and nice salad with them. The sandwiches are made to order so you get the best. You definitely get your money's worth. Best of all, the staff are a lovely friendly caring bunch.

Hot chocolate are a must here go for the deluxe and the caramel latte deluxe both are less than £4.50 each large

Food is always good here. Atmosphere is relaxed although a bit noisy at times. The hardest thing is finding a table to sit at to eat.

Nice place to sit with friends for a catch up, can get noisy during busy times. Food is lovely, but they should cover their pastries.

Nice place to go for fellowship and reading time with groups. Only small criticism would be the porridge - was rather thick and oaty.

The best thing about this cafe is the staff. They are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Service is also very quick and there's a good selection of food available. My husband particularly loves the flat white coffee.

Excellent spacious cafe. Been going for years and the food is always very nicely made. Also, the service is good and friendly, and the seating is very comfortable (especially the sofas!). Plus it's always very clean in the cafe area and toilets. Can't fault the place :-)

My partner and I each had a sandwich and a cake. The staff were very friendly and the food very tasty. The sandwiches were made fresh so didn't mind having to wait a little bit for them.

I've been going there for a good many years with my guide dogs. The staff always give a very good welcoming on arrival.

In the heart of Newport's recently redesigned shopping centre - Boswells Cafe has the ideal spot to refuel before continuing on with your shopping day. 5 top stars from me.

Love the all day breakfast here !! Located in the Kingsway centre which is located a short walk from friars walk, also the multi-storey car park offers quick access to the centre

Served by a girl called gracie, she was amazing, very kind and definitely a people's person! Wasn't too shy with the marshmallows she put on my hot chocolate aswell! 10/10 would come here again!

I normally order jacket potatoes but everything on the menu is AMAZING Totally recommend

Lovely staff nice atmosphere ,not stuffy ,good cofee not week as some coffee shops seem to think quantity over strength .

Food was very nice and they had a good variety. The staff serving were very polite. However there were a lot of tables were the food/plates/trays hadn't been cleared and it was hard to get a spare member of staff to clean and wipe down the table. When they did they used a dry cloth and were in a rush to get back to serving food. In the end i used some wet wipes i had brought elsewhere to wipe away the dried ketchup and make the table less sticky. It's a shame, as i would have put full marks had the place been cleaned more throughly and regularly during the pandemic.

My honeycomb coffee was lovely 5/5 for that however can't say the same about the vegetarian breakfast I had with it. Vegetarian sausage not that nice & the eggs are the worst I have ever had as underside was like rubber.

Been a while since last visited this Boswell's, ordered fish and chips though was a lengthy wait (about half hour) before the food was ready. Apart from this food was nice and tasty
