Boswells Cafe in Gloucester

Nice place and good service. Ordered a chicken fajita and mozzarella, tomato and pesto panini.To drink an Americano and cappuccino.All good. Thanks

Very rude lady staff who take the the food order She taken our eat in order and we were waiting for food then we asked about order she replied your takeaway is getting ready But we asked her for eating in cafe And she charged extra as thinking it’s take away and after we asked she didn’t even refunded the takeaway charge So unmannered and unprofessional lady with angry attitude Never gonna visit me n my friends again

Ordered a bacon and sausage sandwich, no sauce white bread. Staff look and sound miserable, sandwich came and it was in brown grained bread with only one sausage in it running from corner to corner. For the amount you pay you would expect the regular 2 sausages and maybe the right bread. Very little butter on the bread too which left the sandwich incredibly dry. Disappointed as it used to be quite good here

Great coffee, and a breakfast bap

Really polite staff and a real good breakfast and coffe. Was shocked at the price as haven't had breakfast out for a while but after starting to eat, we both said this was worth it and enjoyed chatting inside for a while. Will definitely return and recommend.

Had breakfast here. Nice place to have breakfast as they cook the food fresh. Prices aren't too bad. Cosy place to chill inside Eastgate shopping. There's free WiFi too. All in all, recommend going to this place

You don't mind paying prices if the food is worth it every time we go there we seem to get less and less.

Been here several times. Always seems busy and have lots of items of food etc to offer but rather expensive for basic food.

Nice City Centre cafe friendly staff and very clean

Definitely on a par, if not better than most High Street chain coffee shops. This is a fantastic cafe with a great selection of food to cater for all, including vegans and vegetarians. The extra bonus is they also go the extra mile for people with allergies, and will swap or add extras to compensate for food with allergens. Lovely staff that always help with these problems. Thank you.

It's a great place to relax at the city center. Beautifully decorated seating arrangements and friendly staff will grab your attention to make your visit from one time to frequently. I visited with my wife on our anniversary day without any prior planning, and their services just made our day.

Lovely gluten-free Club sandwich, worth giving this a try if you're gluten intolerant. Tried most items on the menu before intolerance came up and hard going somewhere else for breakfast or lunch. Probably nicest people working at this place for the last couple of years, always with a smile and nothing too much trouble,

Good food and well presented. Atmosphere was excellent. I could not get a signal in the restaurant so I moved out to the seated area. I was able to do various things on my phone without being bothered by anyone.

I’d like to recommend Kieron who is very officiant and very friendly he treats me with respect

Had toasted cheese it was over done had a job to cut it and not enough cheese in it. Last week we had to wait 40mins people came in after us and got severd before us can't understand, if l didn't go up and complain it would have been longer we have been coming to the cafe for a long time but lately the service has not been good.

Food was nice. Staff friendly. Price was ok. Location not their fault but glos is a bit of a dive. That said this place was a bit.of a diamond in the rough and lunch was good.

Nice place to have a coffee, plenty of healthy food options etc, they do an absolutely banging full English breakie, plenty of seating 💺 there's no downside to Boswells:)

Love there pie and chips haven't really been in there much .but my friend said they do a pie &chips & pot of tea for just £5.95 so yes it was lovely will go again..

Served with a smile and humour. Great coffee though a little pricey. I guess their central location commands premium prices. Overall I enjoyed my mid week visit.

Food was adequate, very expensive now. So due to price increase won't be going back anytime soon. Can't afford it.

Boswells is great British cafe,Gloucester cafe is a great shop,lovely staff,great food and drink,Boswells should really think about having more ,maybe even a drive through chain ,take on the likes of Costa, I think it would do very well as costa,mcdonalds or others they don't do traditional breakfast etc ,I could quiet do with a nice takeaway jacket potato or something similar sometimes.

Visited here with my mum, sister and 2 young nephews. Staff were so friendly, food came out quickly and was delicious. Will definitely visit next time I'm in Gloucester.

Recently ate at Boswells café despite being fairly empty service took longer than expected. When the food did finally arrive we noticed multiple items missing and some of the food was cold. Overall, this was a disappointing experience and I won't be returning. It's a shame because with better management and attention to detail, this place could have potential. Save yourself the frustration and find another breakfast spot with better service and quality.

Great range of food on offer, great price.

Had the all day breakfast and it was freshly cooked and hot, which to me is most important. Tea was hot too. All in all a good meal and worth coming back for.

Superb value for money I had the Beef lasange with chips,my wife had seniors special (pie, chips and pot of tea) Both meals were delicious and plentiful Staff were very obliging and pleasant Will definitely be visiting again soon

Well positioned in Eastgate Mall which has entrances off both Eastgate Street & Southgate Street. Seating at Boswells is either out in the soft seats in the concourse, which is a great place to watch people pass by, or inside the cafe area. Both areas are comfortable. Good selection of hot foods & cakes & the staff are friendly & helpful.

Staff always friendly and helpful, have been in for breakfast a few times. Nice atmosphere.

The food is excellent quality and value for money. I have mobility issues and the staff are so friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble and importantly for me I don’t feel rushed or a nuisance. If I could award more stars I would.

Purchased a takeaway as seated area prices were far more expensive than takeaway. Sandwich came uncut ( just 2 pieces of bread uncut ) Saw assistants take food to table with same gloves that prepared food. So I hope no customers had any food allergies. The person that served us was very rude. Definitely 0/5 for all above.

Ordered 2 coffees and 2 bacon sandwiches today. The bacon was rock hard. Told the manager and nothing,just an apology!! £16 + I paid for all this .will not be going back!!

Always a good breakfast. The eggs tend to be a bit runny for my liking but if you ask when u order they will do "well done" eggs. Wraps are good too :D

Pretty ordinary food, nothing to write home about for the price. Noticed a member of staff having her lunch in the main cafe and just left her half eaten food on the table. Didn't bother to take it back but left for someone else to collect (which it wasn't for at least 20 minutes while we were there). Teamwork?

I go here two days a week with my friend and we have a coffee. Me and my partner went here on 23rd September and we had a meal and a coffee here and it was very nice. The staff were very nice and friendly too.

My husband's favourite cafe! Friendly staff and delicious good value food and drink.

No Vegan options listed. Ended up being moaned at for eating vegan food from somewhere else - despite having bought items from them and eating outside.

Always a pleasant experience. Easy to just enjoy something to eat and drink and relax a short while. Unlike of course.....many other mainstream food retailers .....where something or other is not available, not supplied, or forgotten from the order.

Mug of tea was best I've had whilst out for a long while

I went in with the family and only ordered drinks. I asked for Deluxe Hot Chocolate and paid £3.55 to have the cream and marshmallows, but it wasn't too be, plenty of cream only, when I asked I was told they were underneath, wrong again.

Popped in for a bite to eat for lunch after going to have eyes tested. Went to M&S but massive queue, so went to Boswells, it was busy but able to get a table. Had a light snack a panini, was tasty.

Love Boswells, I don't go into town very often. When I do go to town I always stop at Boswells for a lovely latte and a snack. So far I have not been disappointed. Will happily recommend Boswells.

Nice place, friendly staff, good coffee. The "cooked fresh" breakfasts are stretching a point - the sausages bacon and baked beans are kept warm, so could be hotter - but still pretty good.

First time in was very nice , food was great atmosphere was good

Love Boswell but today I saw something special. Ollie took time out to address a lady by name, ask how her day was yesterday and chat to her for a few minutes, it clearly made her day. He then turned round and welcomed an older gentleman by addressing him good morning sir. I love the respect that these two more mature people got, Boswells might be the only social interaction they have today and Ollie made it amazing for them. Good coffee too! Edit - Thanks for acknowledging Boswells 😀 this was actually meant for the Boswells in Yate, not sure how I didn’t realise I was posting on the Glos one 🙄

Really friendly staff and the food smelt amazing! Me and my friend popped in here for an iced coffee and milkshake. Both were delicious and reasonably priced! They do have plenty of seating inside the cafe as well so plenty of space to sit as well as having takeaway.

Great place to stop off and enjoy a nice coffee. Indoors so no risk of rain or heatstroke such was the heat on our visit to Gloucester. Nice staff, very polite and friendly, with a smile.

Always head for Boswells when in town. Food lovely & staff so friendly & helpful. I'm a wheelchair user and never have to ask for help. They always carry tray, sort table etc very willingly.. went in Boswell's today after not being in town for a long time. Same good service. Only had a drink this time but all food we saw looked good.

Excellent service, my Wife loves their toast !! Always the 1st call when we go to Gloucester.
