This is the worst place for food I honestly have no clue who would come here first of all and who would score this place more than a 1. The food is terrible service terrible a bunch of kids who act like they don't get paid enough to turn up. Save yourself and your appetite just avoid overpriced and unsatisfactory on all levels.

I ordered takeaway food. The way the woman spoke to me when taking my order was totally unacceptable. I answered a question she asked and she looked at me as if I answered a completely different question and then spoke to me very patronisingly. I am extremely upset about the way I was treated and will not be coming back here again.

Excellent food. We only had lunch time light bites, but it was cooked fresh and tasted lovely, out drinks were hot and not over priced. It isn’t the cheapest place, but it is excellent

I came here with my daughter, granddaughter and sister for lunch. My sister and I had cheesy chips which were a bit dry because the cheese hadn't been given enough time under the grill to melt properly. The other two had toasted cheese panini with salad which looked so good that we decided to have that the next time. And there will soon be a next time because we love Boswell's. Inside and outside seating, lovely staff, clean toilets! Highly recommended!

This is such a welcoming, comfortable and clean cafe, all the staff are cheerful and helpful, there's plenty of space with seats inside or outside. I visit a couple of times a week and it is always a pleasure to eat there. The coffee is first class and the food is delicious, brought to your table. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Boswells, just visit and you won't be disappointed!

Great cafe on a busy high street. Was served by a very friendly young female who made small talk when serving me. Our food arrived quickly. I went with the tuna melt pannini, fully loaded, enough that I didn't need food for another couple of hours.

Boswell's offers a great choice of food and drink at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is situated on the ground floor in the Galleries so access is very easy. There are lifts available if you are coming in through the car park or at different levels. There's plenty of seating both in the cafe itself and out in the Mall area.

We came here for my sister's birthday meal. As usual very busy and this day was hot, hot, hot! So we changed our usual order from cheesy chips (which we adore) to melts, falafel and salad! Very nice indeed and the first time I had ever tasted falafel!! The staff are super friendly. The toilets are clean (which is always a plus).

Great location in BS1 in the Galleries shopping centre. Although it's quite busy most of the time, you can usually find a comfortable seat. The food and drinks are constantly good and the staff are friendly.

In the Galleries at Bristol within reach of all transport types. Clean and newly refurbished look about it with plenty of seating inside and outside but inside the arcade. Staff were friendly and efficient. Prices for two drinks was just over £5 so pretty normal. Would recommend.

We are happy to renew our acquaintance with this chain as we arrive for a light lunch. A main attraction is the relaxed, spaced-out arrangement of tables and chairs which I find very appealing. We order squash and sweet potato soup, and large bowls of soup with brown bread are quickly brought to the table. Very tasty too, although rather 'hot' for my taste. Peppered up! An obliging girl brings us glasses of cold water. We were sorry not to be able to stay for coffee and cake.

Although the staff were accommodating I am in shock that such a big brand wouldn't have the ablity to cater my sister who wanted a hot chocolate made with soya milk. This is a relitively new change yet we have never had an issue before. If you cannot cater for this dietary need then to save the hassle and potential embarrassment this should be clearly advertised.

This was an excellent little stop - very friendly staff, but it was appreciated by lots of customers, so was a little too busy. Lots of options for both drinks and food and reasonable prices.

Whether you have shopped till you've dropped and you simply want a reviving cuppa then look no further than the new cafe in The Galleries - Boswell's. Part of a small chain and run by a family group, Boswell's is not pretentious, it is genuine...

Went to this café for breakfast on the recommendation of another. Being in the centre of Bristol, this is good value if you want a basic breakfast. I did not find the people serving particularly friendly or feel welcome. Service was quick but the quality of the ingredients’ poor. I had an English breakfast, bacon, sausage, toast, hash brown, poached egg and tinned mushrooms (which I left) whilst my wife had what they termed a sausage baguette. In reality it was a sausage in a panini. The coffee was on the thin and weak side. I will not be returning.

After two years peeing off most of the neighbourhood with noise and litter and building a live music venue, without planning permission next door to residential gardens, these squatters are finally getting the boot. Shame that the charity that own the building are now heavily out of pocket.

A great pub with a pretty good selection of real ales. Nice people, rugby shown, sofas, laid back atmosphere - what’s not to like?!

It’s a pub not a hotel. Very good service and great value meals and snacks. Very friendly people both the staff and customers.

I liked the coffee and food, however, the seating area is a little on the small size, brilliant for a quick bite to eat
