Ate there for valentine's. Pork belly followed by steak. Wife had soup and seabass. Meal was lovely, food was excellent. It was quite quiet, but the food really was great, will be returning.

The food was genuinely fantastic! Staff were really nice, friendly and helpful. Atmosphere needs a bit of work- music was so quiet we couldn’t really hear it and decor could do with a little bit of work upstairs. Table cloths would improve the feel of the meal etc- this would match the quality of the food better. Thank you for a lovely evening 😊😊

Quiet at lunch time. Perfect service and delicious food

We’ve been wanting to try Borellis for a while and this week we enjoyed the most yummy Greek pizza and Hot & Spicy pizza, great value at 2 for 1 on a Tuesday. The menu looked so tempting we also ordered two very tasty tapas to enjoy with our pizzas, the Patatas Bravas and Garlic Fried Mushrooms. Delicious flavours enjoyed whilst soaking up the atmosphere of the historic location and stylish retro style of the bar area. The 1970/80/90s music choice complimented Borellis and the friendly bar staff are a credit. What fabulous cocktails too and good value at £9 for the quality. The bar staff know their stuff, made one of the best Porn Star and Old Fashioned cocktails we’ve had - fabulous. Looking forward to our next time. We intend to come very hungry 😋

Been a few times now, pretty standard nothing much to write about not bad not great, staff seem a bit listless at times and later in the evening starts filling of people who should probably be sent home and cant get in anywhere else. Not had the food so will withhold any judgements.

Our waiter Edwin was very attentive and professional. The waitresses were also very good.

The staff couldn't have been more attentive, and super friendly. Tapas was ace, though little request: please can you put veggie meatballs on the menu too?!

Great place to call in and have a drink. We found the place very busy on Friday evening 29 Sept and ended up just drinking at the bar as nearly every table was taken inside and outside. The staff are very efficient and friendly. Drinks are priced realistically. We stayed about an hour but the noise level was so load we had trouble hearing each other speak so in the end we left. It was good to see they had security at the door when you arrived checking some peoples ID's and keeping a watchful eye on any trouble.

Had lovely tapas lunch and drinks, would definitely recommend. We had the sausage roll, whitebait and chilli prawns, all really tasty. Bella our waitress was very helpful and attentive.

Amazing food and wonderful service.

This is a hidden jewel in the heart of Farnham. The food is great, atmosphere is amazing and great service too. We went for padron peppers, breaded mushrooms with garlic Aoli, onion rings, skin on fries, sea food paella, Greek salad and a Greek Pizza. You know a chef is worth his salt when the onion rings are light and crispy. The breaded mushrooms were perfect. I would have liked a little more seasoning on my paella. It also lacked the typical sea food flavour that would have made it amazing. I couldn't get enough of the padron peppers. A big shout out to Bella who waited on us. She was polite and friendly.

Went to Borellis for early evening cocktails. As usual the server did not have a clue how to make the cocktails and looked them up on her phone. Not a problem if she was a little 'humble' about it and had any personality but did all this 'with confidence' and no banter at all. Didn't even thank us for payment. Went to another pub up the road and saw another couple we had seen in there and they likened Borellis to a 'morgue'. Will not be returning.

Borellis is my favourite place in Farnham town & even though I’ve been coming here for 20 years, my recent experiences have been great! The Manager Martin is a very positive addition to Borellis. He is friendly, attentive & respectful to customers & staff alike! His personality & management style also comes across in his staff! The young servers are a delight! Especially Libby & Bella & of course the superb service of the lovely long term lady who always receives me as I’m there for the 1st time! That is Polly x

Great thing about Farnham is you can pop down some side street or alley and find a hidden gem When you delve into Borelli’s and sit in their outdoor area, you find yourself in a quaint little courtyard Outdoor heaters takes the edge off any chill, whilst providing ambient lighting The bar itself has that modern city feel to it There are scattered tables with lots more restaurant seating upstairs The staff were amazing Not only were they engaging - spent lots of time with our boy, with our main server encapsulating him with his knowledge and experience of all things Pokémon We witnessed all the staff being very busy and attentive throughout the evening The food is a Mediterranean attempt with mixtures of Spanish and Italian with the pizza, pasta and tapas We ordered the fish paella, spicy chicken wings, antipasto platter and the equivalent of potatas bravas (Koffiman fries?) This is where a 4/5 star rating plummets to a 3 for this review The coating on the chicken was spot on - nice and crunchy (like a KFC you can get in Malaysia or Singapore) The potatoes were nice and crisp too The antipasto…I felt like they came from a packet that I could pick up at ASDA And the paella…there wasn’t a single piece of fish and it didn’t taste like it was cooked in a fish or seafood stock In fact, the rice was almost like it came straight from Uncle Ben topped off with frozen prawns (cooked) as opposed to fresh It’s a healthy serving, just not appealing on the tastebuds We would we return…yeah, probably, cos everything else about the place was sound

Manager with glasses, treats his lovely staff with complete disrespect at the bar. Not impressed with what I’ve seen at all. Hope he learn to be a little bit more kind and courteous.

Entered the bar was greeted by 3 staff all with smiles and eager. It was very quiet i thought to myself why is this place so quiet. It must be bad. I asked to look at the cocktail menu. After looking I noticed nagroni wasn't on the menu. The manager (Martin) Asked if anything I was looking for in perticular. He explained he couldn't make a classic Nagroni. Due to not having Campari. He did offer to make it using Aperol. I was skeptical but wow. Best I've ever had. I've paid £25 for rubbish cocktails in London. This was £7.... yes it was during happy hour I might add but only £9 any other time. We had pizza we couldn't finish. Again the food was so spectacular I had to take it away. I come here years ago the food, service and staff are leagues apart. Anyone looking for a date night speak to Martini Martin he'll sort you the best cocktails in Farnham. I don't ever review and I felt I had too so people can go check out the fantastic tucked away little bar. Seriously though it don't make sense with the amazing food and a mixology master at the helm. Please anyone that likes pizza and cocktails go see the wonderful Happy team at Borellis

Good place to go but treats the staff terribly, I have been there many times and the way the staff is treated is disgusting they speak to each other with no respect and don’t have the decency to help someone instead they have a go at them for trying to do the right thing

I usually stop off here for a quick pint whenever I visit Farnham. I really like the secluded location, the bar has a chic vibe to it and service is always quick and friendly. Tried the tapas once with the wife and it was delicious and really reasonably priced. Outdoor seating is great and they’re really welcoming towards my sausage dog too, always offering him water (and more importantly attention lol!)

We ordered the small plates or tapas for lunch. Maybe 3 each was more than recommended but we were hungry and only empty plates went back. The quality of the tapas and presentation was top class. We had some Hog’s Back alcohol free beers to accompany, excellent flavours. All in all an great lunch.

So I am paying a flying visit to Farnham and stumbled across this lovely little restaurant tucked away. The staff were very welcoming even though I popped in before they started dinner service. They had a deal on for Tapas £18 for dishes marked with the star. Thinking this was going to be mini tapas boy was I mistaken. The dishes all cooked to perfection, the chicken and chorizo paella, just like i’ve had in Spain and the Spanish omelette on the basil leaves adds another level of flavour… the star for me was the mussels so easy to mess up but my god cooked to perfection. I don’t normally leave reviews but honestly you should visit….

Been here loads times and usually find the place friendly and pleasant . Went in this evening served by miserable man , grumpy , no eye contact but that’s ok. My half guiness came in half pint glass inch from top and I politely asked if that was correct.He said glass is bigger than a half so that’s it??? Why would you serve in glasses like that???. I didn’t argue but left wondering who the unhelpful , grumpy barman was and found out it was the owner or manager!!! . If you hate your job that much resign or sell your bar. Most expensive and least pleasant in Farnham. Sorry if you having bad day but not my fault !

Wow. Borellis has really impressed me tonight! Not been here for a long time, It was recommended by someone this week to go and try it. Refurbishef and they have moved their menu to tapas and small plates.Amazing taste and so fresh, so quick as well. And to top it all amazing service. Quite incredible. Staff seemed genuinely, keen, engaged in conversation , and charming, I was so impressed I spoke to the owner to share my thoughts on how good I thought it was. A must for anyone. Highly highly recommended!

We went especially for the comedy night which was good entertainment across the whole evening with a nice mix of comedians. Added to by the new tasty tapas menu we had heard about and of course the drinks with a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Thanks to Dave and his team, we will be back.

Visited once for dinner where the Mexican chicken burger was undercooked and overly salty. Despite complaining at the time no alternative was offered or compensation. Tried again for a simple lunch of sandwich with fries to find the bread stale...again advised the serving staff for it to be shrugged off. Sat outside in the courtyard where several tables were eating to have 2 smokers sat next to us lighting up whilst ourselves and others were eating. No designated smoking area promoted or encouraged by staff.

Dropped in for a light supper on a Saturday evening before driving back to the Midlands. The place was busy with a good buzz. I ordered a halloumi and mushroom burger, which turned out very disappointing despite being so simple. Minimal halloumi in it, so much dressing that the bun was soggy, and served barely lukewarm. Fries could have been good, being crisp and not oily, but they had so much salt that I spent the drive home desperately thirsty. In short, a good location with friendly staff but the kitchen needs to get sorted out if it is to become adequate.

The food at this place was really nice and presented in a wonderful way. I recommend The Avocado Toast with scrambled eggs, sliced avocado and smoked salmon. Two hours after arriving we had only had our starters. Had to get our desserts to take home because it took so long so couldn’t have what we wanted and didn’t get the ice cream that went with them or the petit fours included in the set menu. No compensation offered and it was an expensive meal. Shame as the food was actually quite nice when it came and the waiting staff were polite.

An excellent experience all around. Food choices are unique, well prepared & good value for the quality. Service & environment are equally lovely. The mussels were such a treat (huge portion too). It was nice to be asked if I minded the gratuity (which was well earned).

Visited as a large group. Service was good, my fajitas were way too salty. I'm not sure what they used to make the vegetable mix but the two of us that had them both had the same issue. The rest of the food was fine and generous portions.

Lovely food, beautifully presented - I had the prawn and avocado salad which was very generous with the deliciously freshly cooked prawns, but a little light on avocado for my taste. With the beautiful snow covered Xmas tree in the corner & the music playing not too loud you can hear yourself speak, I loved it. A Lovely atmosphere & friendly staff. It was unexpectedly quiet for a Saturday but that didn't detract from this familiar and friendly place! The menu is still larger than you'd believe but the food, delivered, was as good as always! Nice specials, too, including mussels. Hope to return soon!

Used to go here every month or so before lockdown. Good selection of food at reasonable prices, however, I think they've changed the chef, as the menu is now mainly pizzas and burgers. Shame really, as I can get that type of food anywhere in farnham. Probably wont go back there now, unless they change back again.

Lovely selection of gins and great service. Generally very lovely and professional staff, however we were sat close to the door this time outside and could hear the staff inside talking about how the place is run in a negative manner, which is a tad off-putting as a customer. This was the first time this has happened though, so maybe a polite reminder to the staff might clear up this issue. Otherwise, lovely place to ever stop for drinks and food if you are ever in Farnham.

Would never go there again. I paid £23.99 for a 10oz sirloin steak which had bones all in the steak, I spoke to the staff about it to just ask them why there was bones in there and that I’ve never had bones in my steak before either and they just say it’s because it’s a different type of steak. The staff the whole night was just plain rude, told us to hurry up when ordering desert because the kitchen was closing. The staff all night wasn’t organised one bit, gave us our cutlery and sauces 10 minutes after our food was giving to us. So for all of that I would never go there again.
