Borders Restaurant in Hillingdon

Great restaurant in very mediocre hotel ! hotel was very average but dinner at in house restaurant was surprisingly good ! they did not have my wine of choice from menu but alternative suggestion was very good. i had the rack of lamb which was actually rather wonderful- tho just a tad over cooked for me. Surprisingly so good ! but glutinous gravy- for me ?? Efficient and friendly service. top end pricing ! it was good overall but TA rating allows only average or very good. average would be mean. hotel was average. restaurant wasnt !

We stayed at the mercure hotel the night before our holiday flying from Heathrow. We had dinner at Borders restaurant in the hotel not expecting much, but the service was excellent ...particularly from Elena who was friendly and professional. We ate fish and chips and ribs with sweet potato wedges, which was fresh, hot and very tasty. We would be happy to stay again.
