The George & Dragon in Hillingdon

The smell of urine that permeates through the bar is rancid, wasn’t sure if it was one of the regulars or if the toilets were knackered. A few Karen’s stuffing their faces with kfc and screaming at the tops of their voices was a let down.

I went with my partner and his parents, nice atmosphere and good service 👌 👍

One word ... WOW .... Ordered a Flatbread Kebab 🥙 with my pint 🍺 Took a while for the kebab to come out, but my God, it was absolutely amazing 😍 Gonna have to come back here with the fam cos I feel guilty that they missed out 😔

Always have a great time when I come in, staff are friendly and helpful and the food has been amazing everytime I've have eaten here no matter what time of day the quality is consistent. The atmosphere is great everyone has always been friendly and chatty. Really nice welcoming pub.

The staff as always was very polite and always make people feel welcome…. Sam and Layla couldn’t have done enough and the food cooked by Kerry was amazing as always. Always have a great time here and always tell people to pop down

They Served us drinks and after 4,5 Rounds asked for Id to one of my friend ..and he when he showed his id they said that’s not his id and he showed 2 more and after they asked all of our id’s and they were convinced….and in a while manager came and took drink from my friend’s hand and throw away that drink and walked off

I don’t know who she was, all the serving staff were friendly we ordered the drinks and we were enjoying ourselves. Then suddenly after 4/5 rounds of drink they asked for our id. Which doesn’t make sense cause it was the first think we did while ordering our drink. One of the lady ( the manager told she was the landlady it doesn’t matter anyways cause the way she treated us was unfair and rude. She straight grabbed my mates drink and said he can’t have the drink and threw it in the ground ( we were drinking in open area) and just disappeared when I asked the manager what was the issue she literally told us that the id doesn’t match and my mate said he was 31 which is a complete lie i was there when he clearly said he was above 20. And even showed his BRP, student id and other id proof.We discussed the matter with the manager she was aoo friendly and she again checked all of our id which was all good and she compensate us with the drink which was thrown away.

Not only was our server incredibly rude, but they also demanded to see our IDs in a very aggressive manner, making us feel extremely uncomfortable. Even after we showed our id to make matters worse, they nicked one of my friend's drinks right off our table without any explanation or apology. Then, to our absolute shock, they threw the can across the room! This is completely unacceptable and shows a blatant disregard for customer service and basic decency

One of the female server was very rude to us and asked us id and one of my friend showed his id ( 3 different one) but still she said it was not him in the id and kinda behaved like its fake and took his drink and threw it away which i think is not appropriate way to deal with and its not how they treat us.

Food is lovely. Good portions. Had the Sunday roast. Nice home cooked. And lots of it. Highly recommended Great prices too.

Always a warm friendly atmosphere, a memory of how our local pubs used to be. The Sunday roasts are amazing value.

The food took 45 minutes to come out even though there weren’t any other people eating around us. Staff checked on us while eating which was nice.

Came in during a busy day in the week but was very happy to wait due to the friendliness and respect that the staff gave me. The man that served was called Jack and was great! Definitely recommending!!

Discovered by accident, all four of us had the Sunday Roast - fabulous meal. Beef cooked to perfection and all the trimmings and hot!!! Great service, lovely friendly atmosphere.

Contrary to other reviews I found the place charming Staff were great (helped me as I was on bike with no lock and they found me a safe place to keep it) Drink was very nice and the bar snack was reasonably priced and was filling. Helped me wind down after a busy week I will be back next week

No disappointment at all, friendly and happy people seniors. Only once have I felt I was not treated well. Guess the kitchen lady didn't know I frequent the pub and acted really weird towards me (just can't forget that day).

The place needs a complete clean .especially the toilets don't know why people eat there.the ale is rank pipes need a good clean. One member if staff doesn't greet or thank you.the music is too loud. Local authority need to inspect premises ASAP bad experience

Absolutely terrible service. Young girl left alone behind the bar who seriously didn't have a clue! Lots of people waiting while she was baffled by the till. The manager should be ashamed. Served my beer in a dirty glass...and I'm not a snob. Greene King should step in with new staff. Plus Greene King IPA is just awful....avoid avoid avoid!!!!

Brilliant pub. Great food, the burgers are a particular favourite in my family. Bar staff are wonderful and really work very hard.

Bought southern fried chicken burger this evening which I will not do again in future!The order came with hard chips which appeared to have been left in oil for a long time or scraped from the bottom of a frier. The chips were dripping with oil!! This seems to be what you get when you order takeaway as it has happened before.

My daughter decided to buy me lunch today and we ended up here. Honestly one of the best pubs in the borough we've come across so far. Food was amazing and definitely worth the price. We will be back again. Dog friendly too which was a bonus. Staff are friendly and helpful it was overall a very pleasant experience.

A local pub at West Drayton. Can be found several kind of Beer, coctails. If you are two, you can find something to eat at a reasonbale price.

Very good pub, good location and prices

This must have been a bad day for the chef (26th March 2023) as the waiting time for Sunday lunch was excessive and the roast beef was undercooked. The green beans and carrots were also underdone as they were excessively crunchy. When I mentioned that they could have done with more time in the pot, instead of being listened to by the manager and treated with respect, I was told "don't moan." That is not the way to treat a paying customer and left me feeling dissatisfied and embarrassed.

Great place to eat and relax a short drive from Heathrow. We visited with our 2 year old and Donna made us feel very welcome, and especially our daughter. Thank you Donna. Food was great and hospitality even better. We will visit again in future. Cannot recommend here highly enough.

Tasty food at great price with a friendly atmosphere.

Loveliest pub in the area. The menus are of strangely high quality when the prices are as cheerful as they are and the dishes are mostly pub food--good pub food. I like to take friends there if they're in the area, and I look forward to seeing the dog patrons. Another thing that's strangely good is the music. Very, very good variety. You'll hear overlooked gems from every decade. I'm a little young and metro for the place's crowd, so it's not a 5-star place for me, but do pop in, nonetheless. (Dear management, Please leave the darts out more often).

Me the wife and kids only moved to this area nearly a week ago so the first time at this pub must say nice drink and friendly staff nice pint of fosters loved watching the horse racing and football we will be returning soon.

We had our Christmas dinner here this year. The food was excellent, a wide choice and plenty of it. Kerry, Lala, Sam and Ann-Marie did a wonderful job of keeping both the bar and the diners supplied.

Well what can I say about the George and Dragon, Donna behind the bar very welcoming lovely lady, we went in a few days back then returned and she remembered our drinks also we had a meal and Kenny the chef went over and above to prepare our meals which were delicious all in all would highly recommend a great atmosphere and food.

Random visit to this pub - a comfortable atmosphere, clean, good food, great service- all the we wanted, thank you.

Just popped in for a quick drink and some food. Bar staff are lovely and the food was amazing. Really good atmosphere all around the pub and a little bit of friendly banter to boot. I really recommend calling in. Sam and lisa would do anything to help. (Even finger your pie if you asked)😆 xx

Came in for a meal and couple of drinks with my partner after work, we both had the all day breakfast and it was very tasty and Donna was very attentive, friendly and smiley, will be back again soon.

Usually not too bad, but let down by various recent visits. Served by a member of staff who was eating when she approached the bar and said "sorry, I'm hungry" whilst continuing to eat and pouring my pint (no hand washing). Music frequently WAY Too loud, even early in the afternoon. Went in today and 4 or 5 kids running around in the garden being little tykes, not their fault, but the utter mess their parents created was a different story. It was like a bomb had gone off. Shocking behaviour before 6pm in a local pub with kids around, staff didn't seem interested or able to control them. I would expect that at midnight after a heavy session, but not this early. Made the garden unusable. Standards are getting worse by the week.

Absolutely fantastic, the food and drink is great at reasonable prices, the staff are friendly and helpful and it's a great place to relax. I would highly recommend coming here.

Excellent local public house, and very friendly atmosphere, large selection of meals on the menu, also a traditional Sunday lunch, a good selection of ales and lagers, TV sport's channels for football ect, and a pub quiz to test your knowledge. I will definitely return again, Highly recommended.

Cobwebs in a lot of places, sticky tables and bar, drinks served in dirty glasses, must have been understaffed, as staff seemed annoyed. 1 staff member leaning on bar with her hands covering her mouth and yawning - no hands washing afterwards. Food wait not 30 minutes as said but 50 mins. 2 of our party are now home with stomach cramps. Disappointed

Visited The George and Dragon with my family for lunch, food was absolutely lovely, staff were very friendly. Donna was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed/wanted. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future.
