Bookcase Restaurant in Bradford

To describe this Restaurant as average I feel it pretty fair. There was nothing unpleasant about the venue, the staff were ok, the venue was clean and there is easy parking. Food: again, nothing wrong with it. The reason for a 3* is because every was just average. Staff did what they needed but nothing outstanding. The food was clearly brakes or something similar, edible but average. The Venue was average, nothing really stood out to warrant a second visit. It was a bit like eating a reasonable meal while visiting elderly relatives in a care home. If you’re looking for something that’s consistent, this is your place. But for a special birthday with friends it’s worth trying a good independent restaurant instead.

Since 2016 we have had our Christmas Lunch in the Bookcase Restaurant only missing last year due to Covid when it was closed. This year the meal once again was spot on and at £16.95 a bargain. Every course with three choices is cooked to perfection . The staff are very attentive. Lynsey, now the General Manager has looked after us personally since our first visit. We have provisionally booked for 2022.

A very welcoming restaurant with great staff and efficient service. A cosy little bar area adjacent to the restaurant is a perfect spot for pre meal drinks. The restaurant was nicely set up for the festive season including a little gift for all. The food whilst traditional Christmas fayre was just fine and thankfully just the correct portion sizes. Just a very well done event making it a great family occasion. Recommended.

had a fantastic Sunday lunch here the food was excellent. and cooked to perfection the staff were very obliging and very friendly. I would highly recommend this little gem. it maybe an hotel but it's open to none residence. we will certainly be returning

This restaurant is within the Guide Post Hotel, but you do not have to be a resident to eat here. I have had the steak here on several occasions and it is amazing. The food is varied and beautifully prepared and at a reasonable cost. A great setting, friendly staff and clean and comfortable. Best to book in advance as when they have coach parties in, the service can be understandably a little slow.
