Maverick's 80s Lounge in Bradford

Maverick's is just thee place to go if you want a solid night out in Bingley, I had nothing but a great time here from beginning to end, I don't think I went to any other venue. I was speaking to the bouncers as there was alot of police around to find Mavericks actually work with the Police where the officers are there in hopes it will decrease trouble, and i think it works as not a single fight broke out. The atmosphere is absolutely incredible full of friendly people just there to have a good time, the demographic is also different as the venue has people from 18-45ish in, so they play music that relates to everyone and everyone does vibe with it. The staff are also really friendly you can see this from the images, always have a smile on their faces, just such great people! The building itself is really big, but it even with the squarfootage, and neon lighting it seems to have a cosy feel to it, which is strange from a club but I guess that's why everyone seems super friendly! The building from the outside is also super pretty, it looks like it could have been an old-school bank time ago. Any they have angel wings on the wall which is always good for photos 📸🔥

We’ve seen a few things kick off at the club and the bouncers are always the first to split up the problems. Even involving the female manager splitting up the problem

The bouncers went above and beyond, these men are so professional they stayed in there lane but they made sure everyone was safe and looked after. 10/10 venues 10/10 staff please attend with the knowledge you’ll have an amazing night good prices safe stage (not sponsored honest review)

Having a calm night when a fight when a fight broke out outside in the Maverick’s area. The bouncers did absolutely nothing to help and should all be sacked. The sad thing is I hear this is regular occasion, this venue needs some serious changes! Avoid at all costs !

Called in to Maverick's this Friday night and all I can say is what an absolute shambles. Getting rid of the fantastic DJ Kris who filled the place, played the right music, got the people dancing. Removing him from the venue with no valid reason, he is the face of mavericks. And replaced him with someone I wouldn't even consider being a DJ, just a bunch of chavs, who's target audience says a lot. Won't be coming in here again until you get Kris back! What a shambles. And rude bar staff who pull a face when expected to do their job

Love the refurbishment but missing somewhere to put down my drink to dance. Approve of the toilets very smart and locks on the doors is an added luxury that we missed before. Update: the shelves are back for our drinks, thank you. Didnt eat (didn't even know if they do food) Another great night tonight.

Disgusting bouncer in the door aggressive with the ladies in the party and threatened to break my phone because I took a phot of him…. Bouncers are supposed to keep people safe! He ended up breaking up our part be abuse they felt threatened.

Great drinks, great prices, great music

It's best place in bingley for atmosphere but sadly let down by the clientele it attracts. I was randomly glassed from behind in here a few year ago. Nothing was done police didn't want to know or check the cameras. It's not the first incident neither seems a very common theme in here happening to many others. Be very wary and vigilante if you do decide to go here on a night out.

I like Mavericks a lot, but unfortunately when I want to go to the toilet there is a guy who works on there who likes to walk in the cubicle when we I'm in there. Why is the lock always broken. This person also wants money aswell after he harassed me. Can I not go to the toilet in peace.

The lady in the toilets is beyond rude. Should not be in a customer facing job at all. Shouts at people for no reason and forces people to buy things and shouts at them for no reason at all.

Had a fantastic night here on Saturday night, the music was phenomenal, the DJ had everybody in the venue up dancing there must have been at least 300 people in there. The music suited everybody's taste. The bar staff are so welcoming and friendly, two of those ladies behind the bar stood out a mile, a lady with blonde short hair and another lady with brown curly hair, dancing along with customers from behind the bar. Really set the atmosphere! It was my first time visiting Mavericks and have not stopped raving about it since. Will definitely be coming back again! Thanks for making my Saturday night so unforgettable

Racist, we paid £40 to get in, after paying, declined a member of my group entry because of his ethic group. Blamed his trousers which were more than acceptable

Very nice night out club at the center of Bingley near to the train station and bus and taxi.

Decent enough bar, quite good drink prices and music was OK. Will probably go back next time I am out in the area for a few drinks.

There’s not a single lock on the girls toilets that works. How difficult is it to replace locks?

Attracts people who specifically go out to cause trouble. Been randomly attacked from behind while walking past outside, by someone who had just been kicked out. Similar thing has happened to two others I know. Bouncers couldn't care less.

Wow!, what a experience, very busy, great atmosphere, full of interesting people!

The clientele has a lot to be desired. The denzens of this establishment reside on the lowest of the low levels of society. The racism and the lack of manners and propriety is all too evident in the security staff and much of the clientele. Not an ideal place to drink if you just want to relax, not to mention the music is a bit dull too.

I was abused by one bouncer. They do not know how to operate without aggression. I won't be visiting again, so that must be very good for their business model since they are not using the moniker of 'Midland Hotel'. Y'know, the name all residents around Bingley know the place from the pre-2010s... Obviously they do not want to be locally popular, which is why their strategy of aggression is working so well! Overall: Terrible bouncers with zero ethics and moronic branding strategy.

Had two tables booked for 10 o’clock which lasted 2 hours. Came to around 11:30, went out for a cigarette. Only to be greeted by the fact that we had lost one of our tables and that we had told that ‘we’d been kicked out for doing f**k knows what round that corner’ even though we just went for a smoke. So we came back in to see that other people have been sat in our table and got kicked out for arguing the fact. Also the bouncers treatment of their customers was ridiculous, my friend got picked up at thrown out for being calm and understanding. Unbelievable treatment of customers, what seemed to be the manager of the shift a white woman with blonde hair was not in any sort understandable or helpful to her customers. Nothing pure pure rude. Talked to 2 other people who’d also got kicked out for leaving their seats.

Good meeting with old friends. 80s n 90s music, so right up mmy street. I did leave a very expensive coat and thought I'd have to right it off, but I phoned the bar and they did save it for my to pick up a week later.

Expensive and poor quality beer.

This was the first time I have ever visited this establishment and It will be the last.I visited late on a Friday night and was shocked that they actually charged an entry fee.I bought a drink and was standing next to a table near the bar when a member of bar staff came over and said something to me. Unfortunately, I had No idea what she said as the music was loud. A man was sat at the other side of the table who looked like he had a hard day as he was nodding off.A group of people then entered the bar and all started to sit at the table. It was then that I noticed a reserved sign on the wall next to the table as the girls started taking selfies with the reserved sign in the photo - it felt very strange to have a reserved table in a pub that was not serving food! I then realised that the bar staff lady must have been telling me that the table was reserved. The next thing I knew a Doorman nudged the man sat at the table and told him to move - No Please or Thank you just a case of Move!!! The man had absolutely no idea what was going on and before he knew it all the doormen appeared and asked him to leave. He did as requested without batting an eyelid and as he was being escorted outside by all the doormen he asked to speak with the manager - I followed them outside where the man was asking why he had been asked to leave and if he could speak to the manager.After some time, the manager did not appear so the man asked if he could go back in and finish his drink. As he tried to re-enter, he was dragged out by several doormen who were very threatening. One of the doormen in particular was extremely threatening and had to be dragged off and held back by three of the doormen - he had totally lost it and if released would have caused a fight. The final stages of this argument were all caught on camera and video by several observers!Needless to say, I will not be returning and most certainly would Not recommend this establishment – Hopefully, it will soon be another statistic and the shutters will come down!

To be fair this is a place for young people advertised as Mavericks 80s Lounge with all due respect more eighties music needs to be played although djs play to there audience.

Been going here for the last year for most nights out and the music , service and prices never fail to impress. Only place with a great vibe for the start and end of the night.

Bouncers feel the need to take you out for being drunk even if your not.

Absolutely disgrace of a place. My brother in law got repeatedly punched in the ribs and head last night at this place. I don't understand why In 2019 and from the recent killing of that young lad at a bar also in Bingley , that bouncers continue to be aggressive towards customers and think they are above everyone else. Something needs to be done. They picked on my brother in law for no reason because apparently he was too drunk when he barley had anything to drink. Bouncers are nothing but a set of cowards. Picking on someone who is potentially weaker than them. Absolutely disgusting. The manager surly should see incidents like this on CCTV????

Threatening and incompetent bouncers who don't know what they are doing and don't know what a real driving licence looks like. Contacted the bar directly the following day to speak to someone and I was ignored. I spoke to some other door staff at a bar near by and they told me Mavericks was known for how bad Mavericks bouncers treat people. I will never step foot in this bar again.

Sometimes (due to my MS) it is impossible to enjoy a night out, even Christmas. Except mavericks. The main guy looked after me every time I was struggling. Massive respect. Massive shame to every club before this in bingley that wouldn't let me in because of my disability.

Top night and the price on drink are good too from what I remember lol, the music brings back the good old days. I will be going back soon

Popped in over the weekend and all I can say is fantastic! What an amazing place. Great music from the dj and brilliant and friendly service at the bar and polite and welcoming doormen. I love coming to mavericks because it's clean and comfortable and a great place to have a good time with friends. Deffo 5 stars

Never again! We have been told we dont dance normally..we are odd..and we should stop do these dance movements. The one of the staff and body guard attended us to stop us dancing..we were too good. All people werw upset that we decided to leave.. we gave this place a bit of fresh life..professional.dance that body guard could not understand it os still in european coulture..despute the manager of this dancing lounge could nlt understand either that some people can be dancing well. We went to other pub and they alkowed us to dance. Funny ,is it? Well done you! You have done good job to get your business on the top in Bingley !

As the Dj at Mavericks Bingley obviously i am going to give the venue 5* I take great pride in my work, Although the venue is predominantly an 80s themed bar , I try to cater for everyones musical tastes which do sometimes drift into 90s or even 70s and earlier including all the Genres within those years. over the 6hrs i DJ a night in Mavericks i play approximatley 120 songs , 95 of those will be 80s tracks which i think is a good ratio with the name of the venue being 'Maverick's 80s Lounge' if , as a customer you enter the bar during the time i play some 70s or 90s music (after it being requested), you will have to excuse the break in your 80s pleasure it will return , if you have anything you would like playing please do come and ask and i will do my best to play what you have requested , but please bare in mind there are others also requesting songs and i can not play them all at the same time, but will get to them as soon as i can. also bare in mind everyone has different tastes. i you are unhappy please message me and i will do my best to help with the problem you have . many thanks 5* for the bar and the staff at Maverick's which is their for you guys

Popped in last Saturday and had a great night. Yes it was busy but hey! that's what you want! I've noticed the DJ has taken a bit of a slating but I think he's great. Always happy to play any requests when asked. When you can get the whole pub to sit down to "Ooops up side yer head" you can't be that bad!!

On a Saturday night if there is more than two of u the bouncers will say not to tonight. The drinks are just too expensive. Only two people on the bar too on a busy Saturday night which is absolutely ridiculous. The Dj is 10x better in bijou than this place they actually play requested songs there unlike here. Place is a joke dunno how it stays open tbh. Will not be going here again!!!!
