I paid my first visit to Bonito this week and it will certainly be my last. i ordered Chicken Pad Thai and received probably the worst example of the dish that I have ever encountered. And, I have eaten this dish in many countries around the world over many years. I received a gloopy mess of barely discernible content. The dish was far too sweet, the noodles were more rubbery than elastic bands, and there were hardly any bean sprouts. All in all, it was truly terrible and appears to have been thrown together by someone with no understanding of how to prepare such a dish.

Very little available to order on the menu, eg no soups available! Waitress was attentive and very pleasant, but food was disappointing.

Ordered a takeaway for delivery food arrived exactly as requested was piping hot and was absolutely delicious will definitely Italy order again well done and thank you

Take away which was delivered last night 13/6. We have used Bonito since it first opened and usually we are delighted. The last 2-3 times our delivery has arrived tepid at best. Last night my noodles were overcooked and barely warm, my husbands Nasi Goreng tasted ok but again barely warm. The delivery driver rang the bell and within seconds was walking back to the car with the bag of food and it was only because my husband called him back we had the take away, honestly wished we hadn’t bothered. Have fed back to restaurant but have not received a reply Such a shame

Fantastic food! Chicken teriyaki was delicious. Good service, clean and modern restaurant where you can take your own wine.

This review is based on a takeaway which we had delivered. Thai fish cakes were taken from the freezer multi pack, certainly not made on the premises, they were approximately the same size as a ginger nut biscuit with the texture of play dough, very rubbery. My chicken katsu was tasteless with very soggy rice. My wife’s chowmein dish she felt was of a poor standard Our spring rolls were soggy too. First time we’ve used this establishment having lived in the area for over 40 years, it’s certainly the last time. Save your money

This is the third takeaway that we have had from here and it hasn’t disappointed on any occasion. The menu is interesting with some familiar but also different dishes to choose from. The food is so thoughtfully packaged, the flavours are fresh and punchy, the portions are generous and it is excellent value. I think we’re slightly addicted!
