Boneyard in Belfast

Nice to see an essentially mini Trademarket re-establish itself. Really cute decor and whilst there is a roof, there’s a large gap and from the alleyway, it’s still somewhat exposed to the elements so dress warmly (and the food will cool very quickly!). I couldn’t see any signage to the toilets though which would be a nice addition. Orto pizza was really nice. Wings weren’t to my liking but not really a wing person so wing lovers can discard that! Recommend!

We were in Belfast Friday night for a gig in the Limelight. Having not been in this part of the city for a few years we didn't even know about the Bone Yard. We went to Spoons next door initially for a few drinks and spotted the Bone Yard as we passed by. We decided to stop in for a quick drink before heading for our gig. I wish we'd not gone to spoons and stayed here instead. The atmosphere was great, the place was buzzing with lots of different groups and ages enjoying food and drinks. We got a seat by a heater which was fab in the cold weather. The staff were lovely and friendly too. Can't comment on the food or loos as we didn't use these. Would definitely make a point of coming back here again.

I was refused entry late on Saturday afternoon with my wife and two daughters because I was "wearing trainers" which was fairly humiliating. It was busy in town... and I would have understood if they said that was the reason we couldn't get in, but there was no queue and the dude on the door expressly said it was because I was wearing trainers. Now, I would have understood if I was a spide wearing a footie top and a pair of air max or something, but I'm a 47 year old dad, just been to the MAC with my family and my high end Hummel trainers can be firmly placed in the smart casual, middle-class 'dad gutties' category. Otherwise I was in a plain t-shirt and smart shorts. I even wear those yokes in my office job. Even so, what outlet that professes to be a pseudo-hipster street food/drinks operation appealing to gen Z, students etc. doesn't allow trainers. It's 2024 not 2004. What student is going to be wearing a pair of slacks and brogues. Really disappointing and even more so that this is where HI burger, Orto slice and Wing-it have been forced to trade. I only wanted some wings with my family FFS. The one star is for consistency as he appeared to apply the same policy to some young fella beside me.

This place is full of vibes. Colorful, see the pics n videos. It has fantastic outdoor sitting. Perfect to spent an afternoon in the sunshine & equally good to spend a evening or a night out. Music was great and ambience was perfect to unwind and relax. Drinks selections is good, it's bar service, you go to the bar for drinks. The same applies with the food stalls. Food could be better. Food stalls are Orto, Wing It and Hi Burger. Went for Hi Burger, but burger was ok, not that great. Place could have few more food stalls, that would be great.

Mostly aimed at students, groups or heavy drinkers with promotions including ice buckets with bottles, jugs worth of cocktails and package deals of 3 bottles of prosecco at once. Decent ambiance though, plenty of tables and nice that you can pick between fried chicken, a pizza slice or a burger. Not sure if the loos (porta potties) are very wheelchair friendly, decent accessibility as it's basically a wee square with picknick tables.

Good outside venue with great food options. Stand alone vendors so great for larger parties or work events. Lots of TVs so good for sports too (no sound). One negative is that the draught selection is constantly out of order for most beers and the bar service is desperately slow. If charging £6 a pint the service needs to reflect that.

Me and 2 of my mates tried to get in last night and we asked the bouncers if we could come in and he kept saying no and we asked why and wouldn’t give us a reason he just kept shrugging his shoulders and saying no but was letting other people in right beside us so we came back and asked again and he kept saying no and shrugging his shoulders and I kept asking why and a polish bouncer got right in my face saying the reason we weren’t allowed in was cause of our attitude but we weren’t giving him attitude we just kept asking why we weren’t allowed in cause he wasn’t giving us a reason. Prick

Attended this evening on the 5/09/24… Girl at the bar was very unwelcoming felt as though she thought us ordering drinks was an inconvenience to her… My friend tried ordering two drinks at once and was refused stating because she was in a group she couldn’t have two as she was buying for someone else? Completely ridiculous and will not be back. We as a group felt very belittled and moved on immediately after finishing our first drink.

Door staff have a serious problem. Kicking people out for not reason. Couldn't tell us why. No manager present to talk to. Told us to e-mail our complaint. Wasn't busy at all. Wouldn't recommend if you've only had 3 drinks.

Got pints and wings from WingIt. Vibe is great, got the food in about 20 mins or so, staff were very pleasant and the overall vibe was just fantastic. Would recommend the Garlic and Chilli wings. My partner loved both the Jack Daniels hot honey and the Salt and Chilli.

Great atmosphere, unique experience

Terrible bar - limited selection (seems to be supplier tied); cocktails pre-made and not too good; uninterested staff. Polar opposite of the wonderful Trademarket. It’s a travesty this place is open and Trademarket closed. Food ok hi burger not as good as Banana block

I attended an ABBA tribute event as part of a hen party, and it was a disaster. The music was terrible, and the drinks were awful! The French and porn srar Martinis were separated, and the so-called Aperol Spritz (it most definitely was not) made me almost vomit. The vodka drink package that included a bottle of Absolut and 2 liters of Pepsi, only to find out the Pepsi was 4 years out of date. The staff shrugged it off, saying it wasn't their fault since that's how it was delivered. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, not even a dog.

The Boneyard has had a makeover since the last time I was here and it looks great! Good selection of drinks and a decent vibe. This place is let down with only one main issue. I’m not some old git. I love live music my main passion is going to gigs, but in a venue like this it needs toned down so people at the same table can speak. It’s actually uncomfortable how loud it is and they need a professional sound engineer in to set it up properly.

Was disappointed as the kids wanted to try the food but they don't allow kids in even if they are eating. Silly rule, visited on my own and found it a bit boring The staff was very slow to busy chatting, pizza was the only highlight

Awful. Even for an outdoor venue, the music was far too loud to hear my friends who were at the same table. Drinks selection seemed decent. Toilets are awful - portaloos. The food... it took them an hour to get me a burger and chips, and I had to chase that up twice despite having some kind of alert dongle. And while the food was tasty, it was freezing cold. £11 for a burger, £6 for chips and non-existent service. Just awful. Do not order food here. If you want somewhere to go, have some pub grub, a drink and a chat with your friends, this is not the place.

The place was packed, it's very popular. However, there were people arriving and leaving so after standing a while we were lucky and the table next to us left so we got to sit. Service at the bar is good but if customers order cocktails that aren't pre-made it slows down the service more than pouring several pints of Guinness. There are 3 food trucks and they're very popular. At 6pm on Saturday there was a 1 hour wait for burgers, but I have to admit they did look good. There are also vans for pizza and chicken wings. Prices are high for food but you're paying for the convenience. Speaking of convenience, there are multiple portaloos and queues to get in.

Great food. Friendly staff. Well worth a visit for good food and drinks. Toilets let it down a bit but don’t let that put you off

Loved the experience being my first time visiting Belfast.

We spent about 4 hours in here on a Bank Holiday weekend and it was really fun. Place had a great vibe and everyone working there was very polite. At one point a security guard approached our table and said that our table was actually reserved for someone else (but the paper on it blew away so we didn't know that). He said he was able to find us another table with a heater, but when he couldn't he let us stay there! I think he found a new table for the other party. He was very cordial throughout. £5.25 for a Corona bottle - didn't think that was too bad for the sort of place this was. Chips were incredible and someone in our party had a pizza which they said was very nice too. Only downside for me were the toilets. It's all portaloos and they were COVERED in urine where the men were all using the women's. It wasn't too clear on the signage that there was a separate urinal for them, or maybe they just didn't care. Either way- someone needs to be cleaning these continuously OR they need a member of staff there policing who used the toilets to keep the men out of the girls. I had to use the toilet in wetherspoons next door!

By 7pm the toilets are disgusting - men using women’s - worse than any festival I’ve ever went to 🤢

After reading all the hype about the reopening with new food vendors I wanted to go. Wings and a burger was what we were looking forward to. Arrived around 320 ordered 10 wings Jack Daniels sauce & salt and chilli ones. Went back up after 25 minutes as there was no sign of them. Spoke to 2 other people who were having them same experience. Mine arrived after a 25 minute wait. Hiburger is just beside Wingit. I went to ask about ordering a burger in case it was going to be the same wait. It was now 350. The guy said we are closing at 4 for an hour. As I hoped to leave again before 5 that was no use to me. Wings were delicious. Pint of Citrus IPA and Pinot grigio also good. How ever there was now a lengthy queue at the bar. I went back to speak to the guy at Hiburger to find out why the hour closure. He said they did that at all their venues. It was good to reset the kitchen. He said their hours were on Instagram. Fair enough but this needs to be on the Boneyard website as well. If I had known this I would have left my visit to a time when both places were open. So if your going to Boneyard on Friday or Saturday Hiburger is closed between 4 and 5. Hiburger is open on Sunday between 12 and 6. Pizza and Wingit doesn't close between 4 and 5.

The Boneyard is good when big events are on in the city, lots of food to choose from if hungry, also some TV's to watch sports.

A more community-conscious approach could enhance the restaurant's reputation and prevent potential legal misunderstandings. I hope this feedback is received in the constructive spirit it is intended. I look forward to seeing positive changes that respect both the restaurant's ambience and the community's needs.

Possibly visited here wrong time of year as it's outside and was very quiet. The food trucks weren't open. Can imagine it would be great in summer.

Nice location and atmosphere.. we were visiting Belfast for weekend and came across this establishment . However, the cost and quality of the cocktails we ordered was not up to scratch. Two tiny cups of mojito, less than 300mls and mainly ice was £15.90. Extremely expensive for what we got, I was disappointed.

We went to The Bone Yard to watch rugby. The place was so packed, great vibes and atmosphere to hang out at.

Didn't have food but it dis look good. Was a great atmosphere abs the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The toilets (even though were portaloos) were clean.

Excellent place for a summer Saturday drinks with friends. Excellent service and loved the music. Variety of ages attending too. The food is an absolute must ... simply mouth watering from both the pizza and the chips van. Will definitely be back

This was my 1st visit to The Bone Yard. We enjoyed a great night with our family and friends. Would definitely come back.

Nice place but very busy, more for the younger people. Live music playing, which was a bit loud. But it was nice & roomy. There is plenty of seating, but when busy, but may be waiting for a while to get a seat. I didn't have any food here, but there was a pizza stall & burger bar & Taco stand and another, which I can't remember what it sold,

Fantastic for an afternoon in the sunshine & for a night out. Very good drinks selection though don't sell alcopops like blue WKD etc. We went on Saturday 10th June there, it was emo music & loved it. I loved every other song & my friends loved all the music. It is a bar service, you go to the bar for drinks. The same applies with the food 'stalls'. My friends & I will definitely be back time & time again.

Nice place to visit, The venue does not take cash which is annoying, and is quite expensive, but there is a great young vibe to the place. The whole venue seemed non judgemental which is something that more places need to adopt. Lovely and warm under the heat lamps even in mid September The staff were very friendly and on the ball with things. Good range of music as well. Well worth a visit

Expensive for drink in plastic marked tumblers. Portaloos - not great. Better to venture into Wetherspoons and use a proper toilet. Basically it’s the rear of the buildings of that row, has a tarpaulin tent up, fake grass on the ground, picnic tables, patio heaters and portaloos. You can get food from a truck parked in the place. A guy looking after the toilets was selling stuff - a candy lollipop for £1! His table was covered in 4 packs of toilet roll. This place is random!

Booked a table for 9 people for birthday party 3 taxis to the place only 2 be told we can't go in because 1 person was tipsy some crack to my other 8 guests that's bad you would get better door staff in Castle Street

1 of the best beer gardens I've been in will diffenitly be back plenty of space loads of seating and pods only problems are the queues for bar.

It looks amazing, love the graffiti art work and the covered area. Such a cool vibe. However the queue for the bar was so so slow which was a bit of a let down.

Good atmosphere and great food. I had cajun chicken topped fries. The gentleman in the scran van was very patient with all my questions about the food. The only down side here is the toilets. They are not the cleanest and I recommend you take your own toilet roll. We wouldn't stay for longer than 2 drinks now due to this

Boy has this gone downhill. Started visiting during lockdown due to open air and found the whole place and experience really good, but very recent visit and really disappointing. The layout of the tables and booths and quality of them is thrown together to squeeze as much as you can in, the bar staff have obviously lost touch with customer service and clueless about barrel management preferring to just gulder with each other and also the table clearing staff must have been off that day. Thank goodness there are lots of other better options in the area.

It's a good outdoor space. Which has a canvas roof and picnic benches. A few nice armchairs on the side livingroom style. Place was empty and still a queue for the bar. Bar wasn't stocked with basics like whiskey.. Portaloos out the side when you need to go.

Booked a container at the Bone Yard for 3pm for the Gold Cup (they had specifically advertised they were showing it). When we turned up the place wasn't even open and didn't plan to open until later that evening. Had to make other plans. Pretty disappointed not to even be contacted to be told before turning up

Great outdoor bar with a large area and plenty of seats, covered and no covered. Nice design with container style booths available as well as more picnic style benches. Food van also available offering tasty food when you get hungry. If you like The Bone Yard you should check out Pug Ugly’s down the street which is owned by the same company.

Boneyard is a good spot for groups and relatively covid-safe apart from the toilets. It didn't appear that they were cleaned regularly and the girls had no soap or sanitiser in them? Might be an idea to have more sanitiser points around. They also charge you an non-refundable £5 per head for a seat for 2.5 hour booking which doesn't come off of your bill which i think is a bit steep. Drink prices are average, food is very nice.

The only photo I can share of the food from this place is my empty plate! I got the halumi burger from the food truck in the bone yard and it was absolutely out of this worls, I would not hesitate to travel back here for that burger alone! The atmosphere in the boneyard was also lovely, loads of seating options and great selection of drinks

Visited here with friends recently and quite honestly I`ll never be back as some of the staff are just incredulous regarding how they speak to the customers.Downright rude and seem to be on some sort of power trip. Management needs to address this quickly or their custom is going to take a major hit on their investment of somewhere that could be a really good venue. The food was a plus.

Food from the vans was fantastic. Night was however spoiled by unsmiling, unfriendly & incredibly rude bar staff. Got the impression serving drinks was beneath some of them; as was the ability to utter pleasantries such as please or thanks! Having worked in hospitality a long time I can honestly say I wouldn't employ the majority of them.

Ok venue. Booked and paid for a container for 9 people, our party was squashed into half a container with adequate seating for 6 people.

booked for 4 people to ensure a seat, only to be emailed that my £20 is non refundable! £20 to sit down absolutely ridiculous!!!! you could at least take it off the food bill. Sangria was vial, it was a mix of ice and lemonade and paid £12 for it. absolute rip off!! The only saving grace was the food, the food truck served lovely food with lovely service! you could do better bone yard! Never book a table here people!

The food is worth the trip. However football over the loud speaker on a saturday girls day out, the £60 deposit to get in, having to que at the bar and the drinks are questionable. Thanks but no thanks. Not what we thought we would be getting. The manager Helen is lovely though.

There Boneyard is a class joint. Good music, good vibes, no trouble and quality service. A great place for anyone and everyone to have fun. The whole time we hadn't a bother in the world. Everyone was kind and welcoming. A great spot for a hens or stag night. A true class act in Belfast.

Was there on Saturday wouldn't recommend the place for hens as they werslow with drinks and then bring the wrong drinks bouncers wer rude and we didn't do anything wrong told us to drink up as are table time was nearly up wen we had a hour and half left to go and they charge you to sit outside in a hub won't be back and it was our first time there

Amazing food! Massive portions on the loaded fries! Think i had the pulled pork loaded fries and them and the chicken burger was fantastic! Highly recommended!

Quirky back yard boozer, with good street good

Bouncers are so friendly, service was a bit slow but for such a booming bar it’s understandable! So handy to order drinks on the app and the drinks were unreal! Amazing atmosphere too
