Piccolo locale al piano seminterrato abbastanza spartano. Tuttavia piatti veramente deliziosi e porzioni molto abbondanti. Se siete in zona e vi piace il genere… assolutamente da provare!

Bonda Kitchen in Paddington specializes in Malaysian food hence its Halal dim sum offerings. What makes their dim sum good is that it does not contain lard which causes bloating and indigestion in my case. The dim sum offerings were a little different and unique like the duck shao mai which we ordered. Also ordered roast duck with rice and some blue coloured Smurf crab and prawn dumplings. The crab and prawn dumplings were pretty much how I expected them to be, the duck shao mai was a bit different to how I expected it to be. Shao Mai filling is usually minced meat mixed with some flour but the duck shao mai was literally chunk of pulled duck meat which made it quite meaty and a little dry. Last but not least was the roast duck which turned out to be sliced pieces of aromatic duck served with rice and not roast duck. Anyway, the duck was quite dry that I felt that it was either left over duck that was refried or duck fried twice as the meat was literally quite crispy and dark brown. In a way it reminded me of Indonesian smashed duck. To summarize, I felt that the dim sums fared better.

Loved it, fast, delicious, friendly Malaysian food and dim sum. I had the nasi lemak ayam berempan, fried chicken with rice, salad, sauce, crispy fish and peanuts, washed down with a chinese tea

Tanti punti a favore per questo piccolo locale: - Pochi tavoli - Piatti abbondanti e di qualità - Possibilità di avere la “doggy-bag” (la busta con gli avanzi) - Menù molto vario

Bonda Kitchen is the epitome of a hidden gem. A tiny basement Malaysian restaurant tucked away in Paddington. We went on a Wednesday night, it was mobbed so I’m glad I booked a table. All the food is Halal and the restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol. Dim sum was awesome. Some of the best Har Gau I’ve ever tasted. Loved how colourful some of the selections were. Duck sui Mai also deserves a mention. We had a half portion of the spicy chicken bao, really enjoyable but wish I went for the rendang. Definitely going to go back for the laksa. Expect to spend £25/30 a head

This place is great. Food was wonderful. We had some dim dum and Prawn fried rice was awesome. Service was excellent. Music was 90's pop, which was a little strange. I would add this to my must stop location when in London!

Locale che paga lo scotto di essere in un seminterrato. Arredo minimal, personale molto cortese anche se parecchio inesperto. Cibo decisamente buono ed abbondante. Con un po’ di rodaggio può diventare molto interessante

Bonda Kitchen’s Malaysian cuisine was new to me. I had a green tea and a prawn laksa nyonya. The curry laksa is a thick broth with halves of an egg, chicken strips, and prawn, with tofu puffs. I could barely eat it, because it was so large and so spicy. The price was no panacea for the spice pain: about $21 including the “optional” tip, but that is probably average for this level of restaurant in London. I conclude that my tastes do not include mortification even though I usually enjoy spicy foods. This is not a criticism of the cuisine but of my current ability to enjoy it. If I had ordered a sweet tea, I would have enjoyed the laksa more. The restaurant was small and sparely functional. The service was good. For those who like Malaysian, this is probably a great restaurant.

Quiet out of the way place. You have to look for it. Staff was wonderful and attentive. I played it safe and got prawns and fried rice, my wife got the crispy duck. We got Appetizers-crispy squid and gyoza. Everything was great. Good flavors and hot. (Not spicy, but fresh). Would definitely recommend.

Another chance find today: this little tucked away in a corner downstairs Malaysian restaurant. We had some of their dumplings, chicken soup and chicken with rice, all delicious and with quite authentic flavours. Excellent find, we loved it!

This restaurant has the best Malaysian food I’ve ever tasted. I loved it so much I went back again on my stay in London. Don’t listen to any bad reviews. The price was reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food! 10/10 would definitely come again when I’m in London.

Amazing and authentic food, the most authentic and delicious in London! Okay, service is not like being in a big fancy restaurant but it is adequate and to be honest we arrived shortly before closing time but were promptly seated and served our wonderful food. Having eaten we were approached by perhaps the owner and the chef who all wanted to know how the food was so we appreciated the personal touch. Honestly the food was exceptional, having travelled in Asia extensively we appreciate the full flavours - thank you and good effort!

Went here with my colleagues a few weeks back and the food is well tasting, although slightly pricey, and the atmosphere is very nice. However, problem for us was: one of our party members has nut allergy. As always, we made that very clear at the beginning of our visit and was assured that no dishes would contain nuts. That they are in fact completely nut-free as a restaurant. Half an hour in to our visit my friend got an allergic reaction and had to use an EpiPen and go straight to the emergency room for treatment. The staff, kept claiming that it couldn’t possibly come from the restaurant, and claimed that it might potentially be someone at another table having a snickers bar (or similar). From his long experience of this allergy, this is not how my friend has an allergic reaction. It was clearly something he had put in his mouth. We suspect that someone in the kitchen might have brought in something that contained nuts and that it had accidentally found itself into the food being served. There’s no other logical explanation. An error that, literally, could have been life threatening. Although apologetic, the staff made zero attempt to rectify the situation. We had to have our dinner abruptly interrupted by long conversations about what had happened, without anyone showing any interest to rectify the situation. We were asked to fill out a form, but since then there has been no further attempt from the restaurant to make right for this situation. I’m very disappointed by their handling. We left after our meal. They agreed to remove my friend’s meal from the final tab (no brainer). But that was all. I have waited to write this review to give the restaurant an honest chance to rectify their huge mistake. But I feel that their grace period has now ended. BE WARNED: Under no circumstances visit this place if you have any allergies. They clearly don’t take their responsibility seriously.

I was super impressed with the lemon ginger tea there. Real squeezed lemon juice, zesty ginger. Served hot to warm me up in cold weather.

Nice people Awful food. The sausage sandwich was dry and greasy at the same time. Coffee is not good. I always want to support small businesses but there is a limit.

Excellent Peruvian food in London, with a slight modern twist. Service is very attentive, and everything is really well made. Decided to go for a la carte instead of the tasting menu. The corquetas weren't as good as I would expect from a place like this. But everything else we ordered was great. The causa was probably my favorite, but then again it's probably one of my favorite Peruvian dishes in general. The food came at the right pace, was well seasoned, and the atmosphere was relaxed and not uptight. I also really like the decor they have there.
