Bombay Spice in Norwich

Had a lovely meal for the 15 I had, can't beat this place no better place value for money wise in Norwich. Would like to try some of their hotter Currys next time. Tikka masala here I could just eat buckets of it's that flavoursome and the chicken is fresh too it seems. Doesnt really deserve such a low rating. As to me there is only one downside, that the naan isn't made in house and is the usual ones that go cold too quickly. Thanks for a nice meal Bombay spice and sorry one more thing you have definitely put too much salt when it comes to the chicken but I still enjoyed it

Second time ordering in a row and that is testament to how good the food was, and how affordable the curries are here. Their Pathia is second to none and everything we ordered tasted good. I've had some really bad curries lately and whilst I don't like to leave bad reviews it's only fair the good ones get good reviews.

Incredible sag paneer and the vegetable malayan is an amazing veggie option - mild but really flavoursome. Food is always ready quickly. Knocked one star off as I've had some pretty dry naan here but overall tasty and reasonably priced

normally our food is delivered in great order,but this time i wasnt impressed with my food,the poppadums were all broken into little pieces,and the food was not as hot as it has been in the past,infacct my rice was nearly cold,was really dissapointed especially for how much it all cost,however because my food is normally really good i will buy froom them again and see how it is next time and hopefully it will be as good as it had normally been

They forgot the rice with my order so had to bring me another one, which by that time my food was cold.

3.5*. Arrived hot and was nice. I do live quite close to this Indian so I’d be surprised if it did arrive cold. Had better Indian food, equally had a lot worse. Bread and rice was lovely, curry was nice but had nicer. Overall decent. Thank you. Great value for money as I ordered the set menu.

Love the food usually. Today's order was tepid, and I had to heat it up in the microwave. Also, we are vegetarian, and 70% of the curry mains were potatoes, I would expect other vegetables.

Both of us believe that this was the best meal we have had delivered from Bombay Spice. I have used them more than a dozen times now and do not now order from anyone else. I had the Meat Rogan (hot) Special Offer 3 meal and my friend had the Chicken Balti. Fantastic.

My food was foul and I thought I ordered a Korma my other orders were tastless watery no spice yet they call themselves bombay spice I do not recommend this place to my worst enemy sort it out bombay or u will end up going bankrupt. The only good think I can say is the receptionist was pleasant and correct on est time of delivery all be it he forgot my onion bajees. Before tonight I was a regular customer I think I will go back to Indian flavours from now on.

Really poor, cold thin hard naan, could just recognise the mushroom bhaji, bhuna ok but dansak a poor stew with wood lumps in. Never again.

Really disappointed as they are usually so good, Chicken Tikka had 3 less than bite sized pieces of chicken in it, also the vegetable korma was swimming in oil. Not up to the restaurant's usual very high standards :(

Food was 20mins early than we asked (we even asked for a later delivery because we’ve had this happen before) - The food was totally amazing as always but what has happened to the dips and naan bread size? They were very small and not shareable

Bombay Spice is a corner Indian takeaway in the St Augustine area of Norwich. It is very simple to order on line. The menu is a mixture of old favourites plus some more exotic selections. Delivery is very efficient and the food arrives hot and delicious. If there was a 41/2 stars for food and service I would have given that. Excellent.

Really disappointing. Most of the dishes were extremely greasy, even the pot of lime pickle was just a pot of oil with 2 bits of lime in it. Definitely not worth the price we paid.

The food needs to fill the container and not be half empty

The chicken tikka jalfrezi was under half When I opened the container rip off for the money……… as was missing at least half of it

Wonderful food - non greasy, very tasty. Food was late but that was due to an issue with the delivery driver and one of the chefs delivered it themselves. Very good service

Repeatedly cancelled my takeaway order without explanation.

Food was over an hour late no apologies from the takeaway customer service as bad when food arrived it was stone cold will not be ordering from them again

Truly the worst Indian I have ever had. Food arrived and hour and a half late no apologies from anyone even when I called they were rude and seemed like they didn’t care and kept giving me excuses then they said it was our fault apparently the driver came and knocked then left which I looked at my door cam footage nothing which I told them but they still ignored then when I tried cancelling the order they said they wouldn’t be able to do that as I paid my card so I had to wait for the food, Now the food stone cold not an ounce of flavour two if the curries I ordered had different names but tasted the same with all rices and curries only being half full nan was see though thin the poperdoms were stale all in all the worst Indian I have ever had I can understand them being busy but if that’s the case then just let us know STOP making excuses

EWW AVOID !! I have never tasted such a horrible taste of Indian food Popadoms were really stale , onion bhaji tasted like flower balls, You are up against sone really lovely Indians The whole thing was off from sauces to main Would never recommend, awful tasting food I now feel quite unwell and put most of it in the bin And arrived cold

Food was really cold by the time it arrived. Naan was literally stone cold.

Delivery was very quick, and the food was hot. However the naan was chewy, there wasn't much chicken in the curry, and the rice was watery.

I had a really disappointing experience, despite being a regular lover of Bombay Spice takeaway. After over an hour delay in the arrival I called the establishment and spoke to the handler, I was extremely understanding of the delay but was informed that the delivery driver left an hour ago so this couldn’t be the case. They kindly send another delivery out (this time to my address correctly) and I then received a call ten minutes later accusing myself and my household members of stealing an order even going so far as to comparing accounts with the second driver to accuse my housemate ‘the short girl with dark hair’, demanding that we either return the food or pay for it ‘when the delivery driver arrives to confront us.’ I then received a call twenty minutes later informing me that a ‘funny incident’ had occurred where the delivery driver had delivered to the wrong address and the call handler proceeded to laugh. I didn’t receive an apology for this threatening behaviour, so really disappointed that I’ll have to order elsewhere from now on. As a household of girls this was very intimidating and uncomfortable.

My favourite place to order from but unfortunately today wasn’t happy with my order food was really cold and chips were soggy? & you forgot onion banjis but when I called you didn’t offer to replace my onion bahjis you said you will owe me some next time I order which is fine but for nearly a £40 meal which is a lot of money I didn’t feel it was very good for that amount of money today usually i never have a bad thing to say

We ordered an everyday special offer (bhuna, bhajis, bread, and papadam) and a Pathia. The curries arrived on time and were warm. The value for money was good as each dish had lots of chicken. We spent £15 LESS than we did on another restaurant and the food was better. We will be ordering again!

DO NOT ORDER HERE - HORRIFIC SERVICE!! We ordered for a family night in.. we were missing multiple items, when we called to raise the issue, we were greeted with raging abuse down the phone calling us liars, even though we had the order in front of us. Plus it arrived late.

Rude, disrespectful and horrible man horrified by the order we received missed many dishes and was argued over the phone. If you can’t handle just eat or Uber or Deliveroo then come away from the disgusting DONT ORDER HERE !!!!!!!!

To be fair, I'm not sure what I expected from getting a 'meal deal' but it's definitely quantity over quality. Naan - OK lots of salad and onions, rice and lovely soft potato and spinach,but the chicken tikka starter was the size of a small egg and the main course korma was exactly three small chicken chunks floating in a jar of sauce. It was really disappointing because the main dish and starter combined were small and not especially tasty. Still... What do you expect for a meal deal, really?

I ordered a lamb madras rice nan bread and a can of coke the portions are so small with five smaller than an oxo cube pieces of meat to much sauce £16.30 they charged with home delivery, it would be OK if they increased the meat portion and size of the meat chunks.

The guy was a bit late. The lamb dopiaza was spilt all over the bag. It wasn't very hot.

It's easy to tell why the head chef won "chef of the year 2015" full on flavour! Generous portions. My Advice: They have a long queue for those ordering over the phone/ online and a Short queue for those who stay and wait. Can be the difference between waiting 15 and 60 minutes

The food was a little watery and under spiced and sadly the food was reeeeeeaaaaaaally late. Really lovely people when I called the restaurant to check on the order, but unfortunately after waiting so long, the food ended up being quite disappointing

The food arrived lukewarm, the King Prawn puree was more slop than being presentable or edible, the chicken tikka massala was more sauce with hardly any chicken 5 small pieces to be exact, as for after taste left by the poppadoms was just vile. Upon ringing the restaurant the person on the phone just kept saying what do want me to do about it. Soo in short is was most disappointing, bad food and very bad customer service. Would never ever use again, first time of ordering and most definitely the last.
