Over £100 for 2 and unfortunately we left hungry. The food still tastes good, but portions have shrunk significantly and rice is now extra. We've been coming here, maybe a couple of times a year for about a decade. Sad to say, that last night was our last visit. For a place that charges around 40 to 50 quid a head, napkins like tissues are a ridiculous economy. It makes the experience feel cheap from the start. The starters were microwaved, I don't expect to pay these prices for food out of a microwave. The sticky rice could be cut with a knife, again, nearly a fiver for a cup of rice, get it right. Our mains were OK, nothing spectacular and I suspect the sauce on the crispy chilli beef is the same sweet chilli sauce out of a bottle served with the prawn crackers. Despite going to some length to ask if we could have noodles with spring onions and beansprouts without the tofu or meat, we got a totally different noodle dish. I like others, object to the 10% service charge. I tip when I receive good service automatically, but I expect it to be my choice. Bit surprised it was empty when we left. Great shame, we used to love coming here.

Made the worst choice of restaurant tonight. Thought this is better compared to Mango-T, unfortunately I was wrong. Serving is a pea size and this is Britain, where in grown people if not fat were tall which are being served with a kid size portion. A bowl of curry worth 16.95 served in the tiniest bowl. I wouldn't recommend, specially if you're looking for a restaurant that will quench your hunger. Plus a 10% enforced tip, never thought tip is as compulsory as vat. Wouldn't mind tipping if servers did extraordinary, wouldn't mind if the serving was justified. NOT GOOD VALUE for MONEY. A V O I D

Although the food was tasty we felt it was over priced. 2 very small starters consisting of just 3 small spring rolls and 3 small chicken satays cost £17 for example. We discovered our table was sticky and even after mentioning this to the staff it was not cleaned. Also they added a 10% service charge to everything so be careful if ordering drinks because even the beers I went to the bar to get myself and put on the tab incurred the additional service charge, remember this is a pub!

My wife, my parents and I came here for a meal to celebrate my wife’s new job. We used to come here a lot when I was younger and really loved it, so I was excited for my wife to try the food. The place itself is pleasant and relaxing – we sat upstairs in a small, quiet room over the pub. For starters, my dad and I had the vegetable tempura and my mum had the tofu satay (which were fine), while my wife had the Tom yum soup with prawns. I didn’t try it because I don’t eat seafood, but it was a tiny portion for £8.50 and she said it was the worst Tom yum soup she’d ever had – the only flavour was salt. Then, the mains. My mum had specifically not gone for the vegetable tempura for a starter, which she loves, because one of the mains consisted of “chicken or vegetables deep fried in Thai tempura batter”. However, there is no tempura if you get the veggie version; it’s a tiny amount of fried tofu sitting on some sad-looking vegetables and a few chunks of pineapple. For £16 (not including rice/noodles)! My tofu dish was similarly dismal and overpriced, but the plain noodles I ordered for £6 were basically a big wad of rice noodles which were impossible to disentangle (I don’t think they’d been tossed in oil to separate them). Worst of all though, my wife, who ordered the crispy chilli beef, discovered a long black hair underneath the beef. We didn’t want to make a big fuss, so she fished it out and put it in an empty rice bowl. However, when the waitress came to collect the plates, I pointed out to her that there was a hair in the beef – that’s literally all I said about it. She was apologetic and when she brought the bill, they’d taken the price of the rice off (assuming the hair had been in the rice). I thanked her but informed her that the hair had actually been in the beef (again, that’s all I said; I simply corrected the assumption it had been in the rice). The next thing I know, the owner is storming out, waving the bill at us accusatorially and demanding we explain why we asked for a refund for the beef. For the next few minutes, she berated us – saying that we shouldn’t have eaten the dish if it had a hair in it and claiming that it was generous enough of them to discount the price of a rice. It was surreal – there was no acknowledgement of any wrongdoing on their part. I explained that I’d never even asked for any sort of discount, but apparently committed to pillorying us, she went round and around with the same accusations. In the end, she stroppily asked me if we wanted to refund the beef, but I told her not to bother. The confrontation completely ruined our evening, and probably wasn’t pleasant for the next table, either. It’s the only time in a lifetime of going out for meals with my family that we’ve refused to pay the service charge. What’s more the food came to around £140 (sans tip) and was absolutely awful.

Wildly overpriced and the portions are absolutely tiny. Completely overpriced with food portions too small! ❌ For example, I ordered spring rolls from the menu for £6.50, I assumed that this would be a fairly substantial side but when it arrived it was 3 small spring rolls out of a packet with a tiny salad leaf garnish. That equates to around £2.17 per 7cm long spring roll. The food was reasonably good though and so was the service so I am giving 2 stars. However, the bill for as modest meal for 4 people with mains and starters and a single bottle of house wine came to over £180 and I was still hungry which seemed pretty ridiculous. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Disappointed, the only word i can realistically come up with. Prices can usually be justified more often than not, regardless of where you order from but every so often there comes a time when someone just takes the proverbial. The prices here are borderline shocking as it is especially when you look at what you get for the money, but if that wasn't enough the quality of food was only slightly above average at best. I have had far better quality, bigger portions and significantly cheaper at other Thai takeaways so i am wondering where the justification is? Probably won't order from here again and it will be off my recommendation list.

Given other reviews we were very disappointed. Told we could amend a dish to make it less spicy for one of our party (they usually cook to medium-hot apparently) so asked for this to be done and it wasn’t. Other dishes were, unfortunately, somewhat bland or average. Eg: tempura starter’s batter soggy because the side salad was wet. In addition it was pricey for the level of food received and then a 10% service charge was automatically added to the bill which added £15 to a meal no one really enjoyed. We were a party of three and next to the serving hatch so felt the service charge was somewhat unjustified on this occasion. I really wanted to enjoy this place as had heard good things but was left disappointed overall.

The taste is average. After taking two bites of the fried vegetables, I discovered that there was a plastic bag inside. It was really disgusting! After telling the boss, he only gave us a different plate and said it was a bag containing vegetables. This reaction is really unacceptable. Not even an apology. How on earth do you fry the packaging bag together? Will preheating plastic be toxic? What should we do if we eat it? A store that doesn't even care about hygiene. A store that doesn’t even have service. It really can be closed. Reply What a professional kitchen that you can fried the vegetables without seeing the plastic bag? You corrected the issue is what you have to. What if someone eats the plastic bag? Is it a thing that you can correct? And still without apology, it seems it’s not a big deal for you from the start.

I ordered from this place as a takeaway expecting a large meal for the price. What I got shocked me to bits. The dish is £14 (ignoring delivery fees) and I was still hungry after finishing it and I'm a slim guy. I can't deny it was delicious, so I can give 2 starts just for that.

As usual the service was excellent, the food arrived promptly and was hot, delicious, and in good supply. What more can you want?

We have been going to this restaurant for about 10 years, we don't go often probably about 8 times in the 10 years, the food has always been lovely quality and the price OK considering it's in the middle of Norwich city but we went there a couple of weeks ago, both had a starter, then one main and a side plus 2 beers and a lemonade. The food was still very nice but we thought the bill would come to about £60 as normal and were a bit shocked when it came to £76 so we looked and we had been charged 10% service charge, now it may have always been like that but we don't think so, plus there was a young lad serving us rather than the mature ladies. We were not informed about the service charge before and only noticed it after we had paid because the bill came at the same time as the credit card machine.

To be honest this is the first Thai restaurant I've been to (I tried it because of the lamentable lack of decent Chinese places in Norwich), so didn't really know what to expect. Had Chicken Gang Pa curry with rice and bottle of beer. It was nice, though quite runny, had to use a spoon instead of knife, presumably this is normal. It's hardly cheap, bill £21.40, dearer than the Indian I had the previous night. The curry was £12.75, beer £3.50, they say they don't make a service charge for under five people, so the rice must have cost over a fiver. And I wasn't best pleased that having paid with £25 cash, the waiter gave me change of £3.50, muttered something and then tried to whisk it away, as though I had consented to them having it as a tip! Next year in Norwich I'll eat in Wetherspoons and save a tenner.

Excellent food and great menu, ...only problem being that you'll just want to order one of everything !

ordered a takeaway twice from here as our local curry house; the men inside are so lovely and kind, the food is cooked to perfection, all of their vegetarian dishes can be made vegan (apart from the cream based ones) leaving lots of choice, and they offer nhs discounts! highly recommend to all 🤍
