The food is always Great! And the service is just as good! Never had a bad meal from here. I highly recommend a visit or a takeaway.

Very clean restaurant tasty food and great service. We had a large table of 10 of us they managed to keep all bills for food and drinks separate without any problems . Well organised service can definitely recommend.

Great menu. Friendly service. Good quality food. So good that the following Saturday we had a takeaway delivered to our home. Tke takeaway was to the same stanard.

A close friend of mine moved to Woodville a few years ago and had yet to try this restaurant (preferring Barton Marina restaurants or eateries closer to his old home) so I suggested when I was next in the area that we tried Bombay Spice for a meal and a catch-up. Both of his neighbours swear by it. We arrived just before our booking time (there's a free car park directly opposite, by the nursery) and were shown to our table on the ground floor straight away. The restaurant is very tidy and well-kept, with a dark purple and white colour scheme. The heart-shaped alcoves are a very pleasant feature and there are fresh flowers on the tables, so this would be a great spot for a date night! There's quite a big menu to choose from, but not overwhelmingly so and there's a lot of the traditional favourites on there. My friend chose the pasanda with lamb, I chose the butter chicken (always my first choice for an Indian restaurant I haven't been to before) and we shared a keema and garlic naan. While we waited for our main course we had a poppadom platter. The poppadoms were lovely and crunchy, dip was very plentiful - all great quality but I did particularly like the spicy chutney. The main courses were fantastic, very well-cooked, hot and fresh. They are served in small bowls so it doesn't look like much at first, but they're deeper than you expect! Plenty of sauce so definitely get a carb to help mop it up; I was very happy with the naan bread but a bit of rice wouldn't have gone amiss either - I'll know for next time. The only reason I knocked a star off is that I reckon they could do with a better internet presence - even just a Wix-type site with a submission form or an online booking system. I wasn't able to understand the chap well over the phone and vice versa due to a crackly signal, so it took a couple of callbacks and a lot of repetition. We got there in the end, but the experience would've been a lot smoother if we had that option of booking online. In the end though, we left feeling well-fed and happy with our experience. The restaurant was quiet but the service was incredibly prompt; no waiting around, yet we weren't made to feel rushed either. Bombay Spice is a bit of a distance for me as I live about 30 miles away but I'd recommend it to any Swad resident and my friend of course lives in Woodville, so they'll undoubtedly get his business again. 4 stars.

Been using this Indian for many years and still as good as ever. Usually we have a takeaway but as a treat we ate in the restaurant. The food was beautifully presented and the cheese Nan was so fresh and tasty. Can’t fault the service. Highly recommend

I live in Woodville. I go there often. The food and service is always excellent. I cannot recommend it more.

Chicken in sagwala was overcooked and very dry,meat in lamb kissan tough and hard to chew,we found one piece of tomato in the garlic and tomato nan.Overall everything was overcooked and the whole meal was lukewarm despite living less than 2 minutes from bombay spice

We have been coming here for 17 years and know exactly what to expect. Friends treated me for my birthday and it was so good. The staff are always lovely. Great service and a chat if you want it. The food is, in my opinion, the best bar none. We all had a perfect evening and can't wait for our next visit.

My partner has been using this restaurant for years (15 to be exact) and we also often have takeaways too. However on the last 3 occasions that we visited we were met with extreme rudeness and arrogance which is a shame because the food is excellent. It seems to be the man at the front desk every time. The last visit we arrived at 2205 on a Monday and was told they were closing (the door timings clearly state 2330 as the closing time). But we could have a takeaway which wasn’t ideal but agreed but then we were told we had to wait outside. I understand (being a nurse) there is restrictions due to Covid but there is no difference to eating in and sitting waiting for a takeaway and it was the way he did it too and with a smug look. Further more my partner and I have visited with her elderly father on 2 occasions who wanted to pay for the meal and when he worked out the bill ( a retired math teacher) he had been tried to be over charged considerable by pounds not pence on both occasions and even tried to argue the fact! But each time we have given the benefit of the doubt probably because this is the only restaurant locally. But on reflection from our last visit it seems Mr Arrogance at the front has the attitude that as he’s the only restaurant in the area he can be as rude and complacent about it as he wants. So we have have come to a decision never to use this place again even though the food is excellent, may the idiot at the front needs to be as good at his role as the chef is. We will be using either the little take away down the road in future and for meals out we found an excellent Gurkha restaurant in Burton which is worth the taxi ride rather than putting money his way again, which is often twice a week. Never again!

Our first time eating in rather than a takeaway last Monday. We took my best friend and her boyfriend so they can see how good it is. Well yet again we were impressed. Absolutely love it here. The food is amazing!! Just wish they’d make my naga sauce hotter 😋. Thank you so much for a lovely evening. We will 1000% be back. The Bacon family.

We order from here every time we want an Indian curry - which is quite often. We will never go anywhere else now. The service is amazing, we never ever have had a problem with our order, and the food is honestly amazing. I’m always excited for my next Indian takeaway from here 😍 you do an amazing job here guys! Never disappointed either with a takeaway here or a sit down meal. Pleasant staff, great choice of curries and you can watch your meal being cooked in the kitchen. Recommend

Slimey curry..The Worst meal I've had in 20 years..Why did I pay the bill..Maybe I've gone soft..Now I'm at home I wished that I refused to pay...

This has been our favourite curry house for the last 12 years for both sit in and takeaways. Recently the food standards seem to have declined, food is too greasy, stale poppadoms delivered, and naan bread dry and chewy. Not sure if this is just a blip or whether things are on the slide? Also not taking cards over the phone for home delivery is a real pain.

Do not use this sh*t hole!!Rats spotted near bins!! curry pot down the road even grimer wouldn’t bother there neither gave me the change for a 10 when I gave them a 20 but was quick enough give me the proper change when confronted like he knew what he’s was doin.-_- don’t trust the fockers!!! Have a full English at home

Popped in for a curry and a drink this wkd,the food quality is good having tried the tikka masala washed down by a nice pint of cobra, worth a visit

After eating here for over a decade and finding the food wonderful we are at a point where ordering a take-a-way on a Saturday night is our only option due to having small children. However, as much as the food is lovely, the ordering & delivery process is very disappointing recently. There is often over an hour wait for delivery and the person taking the order has been rude & understanding when we've queried whether our order is still on its way after waiting longer than the stated time. All in all.....Great food - crap service.
