Food was not nice, one item missing, still not delivered nearly 30 minutes after calling. Worst Indian I’ve ever had. Will not be ordering again

Oil had leaked all over the bag, Curry was so oily I opened it and actually poured a bout 3 tablespoons worth of oil off the top. It arrived luke warm. let down this time.

Goan chicken is the best curry I have ever had, delicious 😋

Food wasnt very hot and the onion baghees were missing. It was 20 mins late. Just eat are refusing to refund the onion Baghees so I am not happy! I wont be ordering again.

The Food was really bland other than the mint sauce and the portion size of the starter was a joke ( 4 small pieces of chicken that didnt even fill up the pot it was stored in) I dont think ive ever witnessed a smaller portion size over all.

Arrived cold. Ordered at 19:00, arrived 20:37. Said it was out for delivery at 19:40, the restaurant is a 6 minute drive away.

Quick service, lovely takeaway. Its also good that the they read the note of where to deliver and driver thanked me for the note of where to deliver to.

food was of bad quality and taste, most likely the worse curry weve had. Me and my wife couldnt even finish it and was so annoyed as weve waited for 2 hours from the time we ordered! food was over a hour late and restaurant didnt really care!! Don't say food is coming in a certain time frame then deliver it hour later. Very disappointed as we used Bombay for years before then moved away and now we've come back and the food and service has gone down hill dramatically!!

This was the worst Indian I have ever had most of the food was inedible due to it being extremely spicy even though they are not a ‘spicy’ dish. Most of it went in the bin! The chicken tikka masala which is normally a mild dish was extremely spicy, missing the mango chutney off our order and we was send a garlic nann instead of a plain nann. Will not be ordering from here again

only 1 dish from 5 was edible. meat tandoori starter. the outher dishes were floating in oil and the prawn dish only had 3 prawns. to finish with, the nan breads were too thick causing them to be burnt on the outside and not fully cooked on the inside. mostly now in the bin

We spent £30 and almost all the food is in the bin. Where do I start? All dishes were swimming in half an inch of oil. My starter contained two prawns, my main course contained four tiny pieces of fish. The sauces (and the prawns and fish) were flavourless, just hot. The naan breads were burnt on the outside, thick, stodgy and inedible. There wasn't a single redeeming feature - this is the very worst takeaway I've had in my life, and I have enjoyed many over the last 30 years. If you enjoy a lovely curry don't have anything to do with Bombay Blues.

25 minutes before earliest delivery time. Read delivery note. Despite coming so early all of the dishes were luke warm at best. The samosa/vegetarian starters needed more cooking. Lamb pasanda had very little lamb. Quorn tikka was best dish. 4/10

everything was rather banned other than the bhuna and the madras was extremely hot it was even un eatable even tho it said mild and the lamb was super fatty

the delivery driver called my phone rather than buzzing my intercom and asked me to go down to him which isn't a problem. but when I went down he had left the stuff on the door step and was driving away.

The potion sizes are so small, didn’t get all my items, food was rubbish and salty, will not be ordering from here again

Terrible service, late is understatement was more than an hour, changed the delivery date from 19:32 (when I ordered) to 20:20. We ordered this over two hours ago and have only just got it. They lied about how long it will be said the driver would be 5 minutes and 30 minutes they showed up. Ended up having our food rushed and didn’t get what we ordered. We got the wrong naan bread orders. Naan was burnt. Not satisfied at all. We were lied to when we kept calling them. As if they forgot the orde

All dishes tastes the same and so salty not very hot. The garlic nan was just garlic chunks thrown on top of a naan

Very dissatisfied with Asar lamb dish ,tasted chemical and very chewy the lamb had to discard and request refund .Absolutely disappointed and let down .

Food wasn’t great was warm when it turned up and very oily the chips I paid £3.50 I got about 12 and they was undercooked and soggy not happy when I paid £25 to just be thrown away

Had a takeaway last night that we had to wait nearly 2 hours for my other half called them said it was delivered to and address near ours so I knocked at door as know the people had not received the dinner so they lied when we stated that we would be leaving a poor review the person on other end of phone stated he cared not as they have lots of followers his arrogance was overwhelming shame used to order here and never had drama before don't know if it's new owners but won't be back shambolic service and even worse rotten attitude no care for the customer and they tell lies

Don't even want to give this restaurant a 1 star what an awful food. Was uncooked and tasted rank. Spent alot of money just to put it in the bin

Awful delivery driver. Verbally abusive to my neighbour - an elderly lady battling cancer. Left our food on the wet ground outside whilst arguing with our other neighbours too! I’m honestly shocked at what happened. Will not be ordering from here again.

My son always gets the delivery from the door, but just hearing the Asian happy chappy say "Luverly Jubbily" has made my year. I just love him.

I ordered a korma and rice which were just okay. It wasn’t the nicest meal I’ve had. The bread was cold and burned and the mint sauce looked and tasted off. Overall, I won’t be ordering again.

Delivery driver was rude and ordered me to come outside of the flat to meet him so he didn’t have to exit his vehicle. The fish dish had far too much onion and very little fish. The Korma was very nice as was the mussala. Very little cheese in the cheese nan. Overall, dissapointed.

The delivery was punctual, and the food met our expectations. Despite arriving slightly cool, a quick microwave and oven reheating resolved that issue. The flavors were decent, just prepare to reheat. We would use again though.

Lovely food, absolutely vile delivery staff. Didn’t ring the bell and rung me to say he will take the food back if I don’t come out now. Rude wouldn’t hand me the bag instead put it on the floor and kept complaining about the lack of house number even though there is one. If you want a decent Indian takeaway then stay away from here! My husband ordered takeaway recently and it was fantastic. I oder this evening and was bloody awful!! Firstly, I left instructions to call as no doorbell. We heard someone banging on front door, hubby went and the driver told him to go out to main Rd to bring it in. Husband refused and rightly so. Food was full of curry powder not a decent Jalfrezi, chilli rice was lukewarm and mostly full of onions. Basically it was revolting. I called to speak with manager who tried his best by bring a new prawn jalfrezi and bombay potatoes and informed us that we were the 2nd complaint regarding driver tonight. I argue that I was discriminated against as being female. This was denied. So why when my husband ordered previously it was that good? All of the dishes including replacements were floating in ghee( clarified butter) and as soon as some drained off there was more floating to the top. Obviously they do not need the custom, as no way are we using them again. If we could have left the spaces blank upon ratings then trust me, I would have done. I prefer to write good reviews but sorry to say, not this time.

Food was OK. But leaving out one of the main dishes spoilt the who meal having to wait for it to arrive so the rest was cold and I don't have a microwave

First- I ordered this on way home, it took an hour to get delivered.. However one of the reasons I'm so annoyed is that when it said it was out for delivery- IT TOOK 20MINS TO GET TO MINE!... The restaurant is only 6 mins drive away! Second- Food was only just about warm, nothing was actually hot at all, was waiting on the doorstep for the food and it wasn't even in an insulated carry-bag or anything, just packed into the carrier bag and that was it.. VERY DISAPPOINTING! Third- I called the restaurant twice but NO ONE COULD BE BOTHERED TO ANSWER THE PHONE!! It kept on ringing til it just cut off... so trying to find out what was happening with the delivery (as it was taking 20 mins to get here). So one star for each this time around, disgraceful service which is shocking compared to other times, no apologies either. Next time I'll go back to the other one I order from.

Normally i got to another local to me curry house, however the price's have gone sky high hence trying Bombay blues. Decent amount of curry for three of us for 28 quid... And delivery was bang on time. The quality of the food was outstanding and piping hot!! The vindaloo was spot on as were the prawn puree s! Really jolly delivery man as well.... Definitely be back for more.

Food was excellent. Whole family commented about how good food was. Really nice flavour and nicely spiced.

One day I ordered dinner and gave my credit card details for home delivery. They failed to deliver in-spite of that when I called they asked to come and pick up and I said we ordered for home deliver and there is no one at home who can drive to the store . I was told rudely that some one have attempted delivery and they gave strict 10 min to come and pick up when I say no they refused to deliver or refund and when I go there they alread closed . That’s how I lost money and no food that day. I had to make a dispute from my banker. So unprofessional

I don’t know how this restaurant has low reviews. The veggie options are great and it’s rare to find that around southend for similar restaurants !! 10/10

Just moved here so trying out an Indian ..Not very nice... Chip portion size wasn't even enough for 1 person and for £3 not worth it at all. Biryani the lamb was just fat and the jalfrezi chicken was soggy chicken and didn't taste right. Spent £37 not worth it at all don't rate it at all.

Not all my order, late by 30 mins even tho a road away wouldn’t mind but over £50 order. Won’t be back

Food as always was delicious. However, i ordered an hour in advance of the delivery time and it was still half an hour late.

I think the driver got hungry on the way because we only received 12 chips in a bag... Curries were very good flavour wise and sauce was good but very stingy on the amount of quorn. Kashmir & special rice both very nice. Naan nice and fresh. Sagg Aloo whilst a side was the star of the whole meal... No poppadom or salad given. For a first time order 6.5/10

The food as always was lovely, however I did the pay with cash option, the driver literally handed us the food and vanished so fast, he was on the phone obvious to anything.He left we checked to make sure it was cash and hadn’t paid by card not realising and it was cash. He didn’t come back or call. 24hrs later he bangs on our door telling us we had to pay which I had no cash on me, he then wanted to come back. Called restaurant who didn’t seem bothered how rude this was! Won’t be using again!!

Reasonably priced delivered on time and hot. Shame that the food was not as good as when we ate in the restaurant a few weeks ago, unfortunately some of the lamb in the dhansak was rather tough

Made an order over the phone.. they didn’t take our order correct.. when he re read our order back he said it so quick that I didn’t hear him only charge for 1 items when i actually asked for 4. The food was cold, greasy just not nice at all.. I called up to complain about the missing items for him to tell me that I was wrong. Yet he was in the wrong. If I could give 0* I would……

Food extremely late. Rang the restaurant twice. Apparently the driver had taken multiple orders. After the second call they said they’d ring the driver then call me back. Not only did they not call me but then wouldn’t answer the phone. Food finally arrived was almost thrown at me by the driver who was not apologetic in any way. Food is so cold and may have been in the containers for 40 minutes or more. I had to throw it away. Absolutely disgusting service and atrocious food. Will never

We always order from Bombay Blues as they are consistently excellent.

We made a large order and received a main dish we didn’t ask for, and didn’t receive two main dishes. Upon calling the restaurant the manager was rude, dismissive and made me out to be lying about the incorrect delivery. It’s a shame, as we’ve been loyal customers for decades but after the way we were spoken to we won’t be ordering again. A shame, as the food that did arrive was apparently tasty as always and the order was slightly early!

The food was amazing, nice portion size and great flavours. Well worth the wait.
