excellent food as usual one of the best Indian restaurants in westcliff

The food was very flavoursome with good size portions. Arrived on time and hot, the red sauce was amazing very glad I choose too order from Bombay Blues will definitely be returning.

was over 2 hours from ordering to delivery, too late & too cold to eat it then so it's essentially a wasted evening and waste of money. it's a shame as usually these guys are great, but a massive let down tonight will send me elsewhere next time

really disappointed with the food tonight. usually its so good but tonight it was oily and greasy, couldn't really taste the food due to the amount of oil in it. No popadum came with the order and the delivery man didnt call me when he was outside as requested as my downstairs neighbours have kids and don't want to wake them up when knocking loudly in the door. definitely the worst experience I've had with bombay Blues but as they're usually so good, it could just be a very bad day at the office

Ordered through just eat and received a notification saying the food had been delivered. An hour later and after multiple attempts to call them I gave up. Update - Ordered a Chinese and then the food arrived minutes before the Chinese. This was 2 hours after the order was placed. Food was decent enough just a shame about the lack of communication from the restaurant.

Food was late. Delivered in a cool box. Food was cold

The restaurant failed to tell us the food would be late until I submitted a request for information as the app was stating the food had been delivered. They gave an updated time. The food was still later than this by 15 minutes. The restaurant did not care that they took 1hr & 45mins to deliver food and failed to compensate because the food was delivered after all. The food then came cold. Poor service from the restaurant overall.

This order never turned up. Not happy

Waited two hours for the food. Left feedback via app that we were still waiting and got told to call the restaurant. Tried numerous times for an hour but never got through as phone left to ring. No apology made when delivered. Food was cold & salty

I had to ring them as they put delivered but it wasn’t delivered as they wanted to make sure they got a good review. When the person answered the phone he was very rude as I questioned him why have you put delivered but my food wasn’t delivered he said well you got to wait for your food so I will not be ordering anything from them again as this is unacceptable. The food is now 10 minutes late and cold

Brilliant food! Only fault there was oil spill from the pots and has stained our kitchen. 🤦🏼‍♀️ will know for next time! 😄

Highly recommend! Clicked to pick up by mistake on the app, gave the takeaway a call and explained what I did by mistake and they were very happy to deliver to me!

Small portions for the price. Too much onion in curries, and they were not properly cooked. Hopefully, it will be better next time.

Oil had leaked all over the bag, Curry was so oily I opened it and actually poured a bout 3 tablespoons worth of oil off the top. It arrived luke warm. let down this time.

I ordered the set menu for delivery with what was supposed to be a chicken bhuna but not sure that is what I got. The curry was just meat and sauce and the sauce is like Ford radiant red, if you Google chicken bhuna none of the images are this colour. The flavour is not unpleasant but has ZERO spiciness and tastes sweet like a korma. The pilau rice is not particularly flavoursome and comes in hi vis luminous green/yellow. The Bombay potato actually looked as it should and was a good portion but a bit cold but tastes nice. I ordered a spicy poppadom which came folded and I'm not sure why. All in all it wasn't terrible but I definitely wouldn't ever order again and would tell people to avoid unless you like your curry looking like someone went mad with a paint set and despise spice.

Food wasnt very hot and the onion baghees were missing. It was 20 mins late. Just eat are refusing to refund the onion Baghees so I am not happy! I wont be ordering again.

The Food was really bland other than the mint sauce and the portion size of the starter was a joke ( 4 small pieces of chicken that didnt even fill up the pot it was stored in) I dont think ive ever witnessed a smaller portion size over all.

Arrived cold. Ordered at 19:00, arrived 20:37. Said it was out for delivery at 19:40, the restaurant is a 6 minute drive away.

Quick service, lovely takeaway. Its also good that the they read the note of where to deliver and driver thanked me for the note of where to deliver to.

food was of bad quality and taste, most likely the worse curry weve had. Me and my wife couldnt even finish it and was so annoyed as weve waited for 2 hours from the time we ordered! food was over a hour late and restaurant didnt really care!! Don't say food is coming in a certain time frame then deliver it hour later. Very disappointed as we used Bombay for years before then moved away and now we've come back and the food and service has gone down hill dramatically!!

This was the worst Indian I have ever had most of the food was inedible due to it being extremely spicy even though they are not a ‘spicy’ dish. Most of it went in the bin! The chicken tikka masala which is normally a mild dish was extremely spicy, missing the mango chutney off our order and we was send a garlic nann instead of a plain nann. Will not be ordering from here again

The food tonight was excellent.

We spent £30 and almost all the food is in the bin. Where do I start? All dishes were swimming in half an inch of oil. My starter contained two prawns, my main course contained four tiny pieces of fish. The sauces (and the prawns and fish) were flavourless, just hot. The naan breads were burnt on the outside, thick, stodgy and inedible. There wasn't a single redeeming feature - this is the very worst takeaway I've had in my life, and I have enjoyed many over the last 30 years. If you enjoy a lovely curry don't have anything to do with Bombay Blues.

only 1 dish from 5 was edible. meat tandoori starter. the outher dishes were floating in oil and the prawn dish only had 3 prawns. to finish with, the nan breads were too thick causing them to be burnt on the outside and not fully cooked on the inside. mostly now in the bin

25 minutes before earliest delivery time. Read delivery note. Despite coming so early all of the dishes were luke warm at best. The samosa/vegetarian starters needed more cooking. Lamb pasanda had very little lamb. Quorn tikka was best dish. 4/10

everything was rather banned other than the bhuna and the madras was extremely hot it was even un eatable even tho it said mild and the lamb was super fatty

the delivery driver called my phone rather than buzzing my intercom and asked me to go down to him which isn't a problem. but when I went down he had left the stuff on the door step and was driving away.

The potion sizes are so small, didn’t get all my items, food was rubbish and salty, will not be ordering from here again

Terrible service, late is understatement was more than an hour, changed the delivery date from 19:32 (when I ordered) to 20:20. We ordered this over two hours ago and have only just got it. They lied about how long it will be said the driver would be 5 minutes and 30 minutes they showed up. Ended up having our food rushed and didn’t get what we ordered. We got the wrong naan bread orders. Naan was burnt. Not satisfied at all. We were lied to when we kept calling them. As if they forgot the orde

All dishes tastes the same and so salty not very hot. The garlic nan was just garlic chunks thrown on top of a naan

Very dissatisfied with Asar lamb dish ,tasted chemical and very chewy the lamb had to discard and request refund .Absolutely disappointed and let down .

Food wasn’t great was warm when it turned up and very oily the chips I paid £3.50 I got about 12 and they was undercooked and soggy not happy when I paid £25 to just be thrown away

Had a takeaway last night that we had to wait nearly 2 hours for my other half called them said it was delivered to and address near ours so I knocked at door as know the people had not received the dinner so they lied when we stated that we would be leaving a poor review the person on other end of phone stated he cared not as they have lots of followers his arrogance was overwhelming shame used to order here and never had drama before don't know if it's new owners but won't be back shambolic service and even worse rotten attitude no care for the customer and they tell lies

Awful delivery driver. Verbally abusive to my neighbour - an elderly lady battling cancer. Left our food on the wet ground outside whilst arguing with our other neighbours too! I’m honestly shocked at what happened. Will not be ordering from here again.
