Bombay Bicycle Chef in Wandsworth

I tried the chicken korma and it was Incredibly AMAZING.. I loved it! Good portions and nice service.. clean environment.

It used to be a good food and good customer service. Lately they have reduced their discount to 30% while the food quality gone down the hill.

The restaurant has a very contemporary look & feel, with decorative transparent element bulbs across the ceiling. The staff were very polite and welcoming. We were there for valentines, and the room was decorated with red heart shaped balloons. We were presented with a complimentary serving of poppadoms' along with the various dips. We had the "Bombay Chicken", Cubes of breast chicken cooked with gravy of ginger, garlic, coriander, onions, green chilli, and fresh tomatoes. It was very spicy hot but managed to maintain its full taste & flavour throughout, excellent! Also the "Chicken Madhurai", breast of chicken marinated in herbs and spices, grilled in clay oven and cooked together in a rich tomato sauce and green chilli, not as hot but equally tasteful and moreish! Both dishes were distinctive and different to what we have tried before in other restaurants and are highly recommended. Along with the main dishes was a very generous helping of Pilau rice, plain Naan and a vegetarian side dish of "Gobi Sabji", fresh cauliflower, cooked with tomatoes, onions & peppers. Balham is excellent in the evening and this restaurant adds to the area with an excellent standard of cuisine & presentation, it is highly recommended.

The service here is wonderful and the food is just exceptional, all dishes have a slightly unique taste to your standard indian food - even better! The Tikka masala is amazing and it is incredibly reasonable. Currently they are offering 40% off eat in Thursday- Saturday! 10/10. Nowhere else is better to go than here, I had the freshest , tastiest tandori meat grill, and a rich creamy, fresh chicken korma that I was dipping my sweet nan into because why have wbu boundaries at this place , it’s where you go to be in good heaven and pay a better price than anywhere.

Based on the ratings I was looking forward to sampling the food here. Poppadoms arrived promptly 5 mins after order, followed very swiftly within 5 minutes by my main course. Chicken was tough, suspect reheated given the relative quick time it was served When challenged I was told by the waiter that he was told when to bring my main course out. My response was that he was front of house and thus it was his role to control the delivery of food and ultimately ensure the satisfaction of the guests. Admittedly they didn’t charge for the poppadoms or main course which was a good gesture however I would have preferred a better experience. On receiving the bill, I asked for a VAT receipt to be told that he couldn’t provide one as the Manager wasn’t on shift that night!!!! Not good, maybe if you visit, you need to state that you don’t want to be rushed
