I wanted a takeaway and delivered (5 people) , but there wasn't any prices on the menu. Shame, good reviews as well.

Sadly wasn't the best this evening The mixed pickles was just mango chutney, no lime pickle, no onion mix The chicken in the madras curry was tough, and not a generous portion mainly sauce.. and although the delivery is literally 2 minutes up the road, the food was only luke warm!

Impromptu visit with my friends as I really curry and was pretty hungry. Never been there before. Food was pretty generic. We othered a few dishes . Mine was a butter chicken tikka . It was syrupy sweet, it felt like I was eating a bowl of sugar with coconut. Very unpleasant piece of chicken which I spat out and left of the plate. Dahl was thick and dry. We ate it, we were hungry , so didn’t complain. But it was not good and today have gi symptoms to go with it. Which makes me wonder if that chicken was off. Not worth another visit. Staff friendly but very slow service

I do not understand why anyone would eat anywhere else but Bollywood's in Collier Row, the food is amazing, the staff are amazing, and they go above and beyond to accommodate and make their visitors feel welcome. Love this place ❤️

Service was awful, slowest I’ve ever seen in my life and the restaurant wasn’t even full. Asked for jugs of water and glasses 3 times before having to get up and go to the bar ourselves to actually get them. Would put a drinks order in and then be chasing missing drinks. Curries were okay but definitely not worth the wait.

It's bollywoods and food is good

Lovely food, good service, attentive staff, will definitely revisit. But need to allow tipping via contactless card payment. Who has cash nowadays?

What a great experience we had as a family at this restaurant, my family love coming here and the food is beautiful and very nicely presented. Such a personal feel here and all the waiters are so polite and couldn’t do enough for you. The owner is also a lovely guy and makes you feel right at home and takes time to get to know you. We had a birthday meal booked tonight and we called the owner up and told him and when we got there the table was decorated and there was balloons and even better there was a cake at the end. Couldn’t fault this restaurant at all and definitely 100% recommended this beautiful restaurant to anyone. They also have theme nights there and my mum and dad are going to a Michael Jackson night in a couple of weeks! 10000/10 .

The waiter was really attentive couldn't fault the service at all. The food was so nice the best Indian food we have had. Definitely going back there. The price was good too & it included drinks!!

Dubious after reading other reviews but I can honestly say in our experience we were impressed- great management attentive staff our requests dealt with no problems extensive food drinks menu; beers on draught & great cocktails! Thanks guys see you again soon

Just have to say..... home now with my husband. We went to Bollywoods in Collier Row, and it was a fabulous meal, haven't been for a while and was dubious how it would be. But the food, the ambiance, and the staff were 100%. Would recommend this restaurant all day long. Will be returning very soon. Thank you Bollywood, we had a lovely evening👍👏👏👏☺️

I’m not usually one to review but this has been the only place which consistently provides good food and great service! It’s always a buzzing atmosphere when I eat in, the manager and team always make an effort to check in regardless of how busy it is and the service is consistently prompt. Lastly, not to mention the food tastes equally good as a take away! Bollywood is a family favourite to say the least.

We had a lovely evening on 24th Jan for my friends birthday. We have been having takeaways from them for years but nothing beats a night out. Staff, food, service all brilliant.

Good food. Have been here before about 7 years ago to dine in. Went back last night. We enjoyed the okra, Garlic chilli paneer and chicken curry all eaten with chapatti. Not too expensive and portion size was enough for 2 of us. Staff member was friendly and attentive and very courteous and kept his cool even though he was only one working working the phone and front desk and serving tables. Would go back again. The place was very clean. Choice of music could be better to create a more relaxed atmosphere but not marking them down for that.

Visited Bollywood After a long time the food is great the service is excellent me and my family have enjoyed the evening no doubt we will definitely be back next time we are in the area

Ordered a take away for collection of quiet a large order. Firstly 3 items were missing,and what looked like mice droppings were in one of the pilau rice! There was another occasion where I had a slight issue with an order from here and the manager was EXTREMELY rude with no manners what so ever so I didn't even bother making any complaints this time around. I should have learned my lesson from then but never the less,I shall never be eating from this place again.

We have just had the worst ever experience with this restaurant tonight. Firstly after taking our food home which is a short 4 minutes drive, the food was stone cold and our 2 garlic naan was missing. We made a telephone call to the manager who was very rude and dismissive; he had no interest in listening and instead said that it’s only my opinion of the food and he has 50 customers that disagree. The food was inedible and had clearly been sat on the side drying out and going cold. What a shame that this once outstanding restaurant has sacrificed quality and customer care for pushing out cold food and playing roulette for food standards to come knocking. Beware - if you decide to order - cold food and absolutely no satisfactory resolution when attempting to speak to the manager.

Takeaway only at the moment but still great staff fibbing great customer service. Good quality good at fair price

Our first visit to a restaurant since 16th March 2020 due to the COVID-19 virus. Big mistake choosing Bollywood’s in Collier Row. The restaurant was packed no such thing as social distancing here. This restaurant knows how many diners they have to cater for but they run out of beer, mixers and food. Our table was not laid out properly and after a wait of 80 minutes when we were told they could not fulfill our order it was time to leave. Worst experience ever never again. I would rather a frozen meal from Tesco than a meal from Bollywood’s

Had a lovely meal at Bollywoods, food was superb. Social distancing was applied. An enjoyable evening. Highly recommended

I ordered from Bollywood’s last night, opened up all of our food it was piping hot and tasted really nice. First time ordering from this Indian take out and I would defo order again it’s beautiful. My little sister is really fussy with her food but she actually really enjoyed it too.

We ordered a takeaway for delivery as it’s one of the few places open during the lockdown. Arrived in 50mins as they said it would and couldn’t fault anything.

Sorry to say after 1hour 20 minutes wait my order came .all the food was cold .it was the same the latest time I ordered from here . I have been a customer since it opened . But will now be looking for a new one . as this is not acceptable .for the money I spend there .

Waited over 2 hours for delivery ... when it got here driver was rude ... starter was raw and cold popadoms soft and chewy no coconut Chucky (ordered and paid for ) 11 shrimps in prawn korma so chewy could not swallow swimming in oil cold ... rice hard sticky and cold ... have been using them for a while but last few times every aspect has been disgraceful.... do not use !!!

I have heard a lot of hype about this restaurant so we went. The food was ok,nothing special, service was quick enough, I had garlic,ginger, chicken tikka, the wife had,buttered chicken,plus pilau rice one naan bread between us Two beers, two g/ts £54 my point is I think it's over priced for what we got. But go you might like it, but now we've been I can safely say will be going elsewhere. (Over rated)

Great food definitely worth a visit

We’ve been ordering from this place for years but never again, took 1 hr and 15 mins tonight to deliver a chicken tikka jalfrazi that was water, oil and had 4 pieces of chicken in a large portion tray,,,, full of large onions to bulk the tray out and only added to the flavour by giving it a bitter and burnt onion after taste. king prawn Pathia was worse than a micro meal and what makes Bollywood even worse, is they add a couple of £ to each order which thy have been doing for months when you ask them the price instead of calculating it yourself, Robbin thrives that have gone downhill and have no loyalty to their customers that have perceived throughout the months believing they would get back to good quality, quantity and service. People don’t waste your money!

Ordered a take away from this restaurant. All delivered by Deliveroo on time. The Chicken Rogan had half a tomato and the whole thing when put on the plate was a watery mess. Tipped nearly half a cup of water out of it. No Taste at all. and probably the worst meal I have ever had. My wife's King Prawn Balti was just as bad although she said it had plenty of prawns in it. Plain Nan was also burned on one side. Aloo Gobi was white in colour with once again a wet sauce in it. Will not use this place again.

I have never had a bad meal from here. If you like a good curry this is the place to go to. But this is just my family's opinion. The staff are frindly most of the time and the service is pretty good although if it's busy they can be a bit slow.

Loveky clean restaurant, staff friendly and helpful. Great food when you sit in and eat. Bit hit and miss if you phone in for a take away.

Overpriced food! After paying the bill we saw hundreds of ants under our table, on the wall and on the skirting board. When we told the waiter, he offered us a free drink. We'll not be going there again.

Last night my husband and myself went to Bollywoods for yet another wonderful meal and evening.. We started with Poppadoms and their chutneys ... so very tasty. . For mains we had Bombay Sizzling Tava ... this dish is fantastic... with onion rice, onion bhaji ( lovely and crisp ), cauliflower bhaji, and peshwari nan bread.What a wonderful meal. Brilliant atmosphere and packed... people coming and going. . The takeaway was in full swing as well.. we've had takeaways from here.. but you can't beat a great night here, such a beautiful place to be in. Staff great as always.

Went to the restaurant was no sign that the meat was halal the website also had no sign. When my main came out I had a hair in my food yuck. Got told their is no women but it was short to be a mans hair. Under food handling and food hygiene it is vital to wear protective clothing and hair piece when asked to see the chief I got a refusal. Will not go back again unless you like hairy food

My friend and I went to this restaurant as it looked quite nice from outside and the menu looked good. The food itself was tasteless and sweet even the curry dishes and so oily. Will never go again. The service was very nice but so disjointed with the food.

I have always enjoyed my meals in Bollywood but this evening was such a disappointment the meal was nice but my Tia Maria coffee had bits in the bottom which I assumed was coffee. I was then given a shot of Tia Maria at the end of the meal and there were 5 ants in it. I then realised I had swallowed quite a few in my coffee. I told the staff and all I was offered was a fresh drink from a new bottle. No reduction in the price of the bill and one member of staff found it all very amusing. I will not be returning!

I have been a customer at Bollywood both eat in and takeaway for a number of years. Last night I made a takeaway order via Just Eat because I could not get through on the phone like I have done a number of times. The food arrived late and the order incorrect for example ordered lamb and THEY SENT CHICKEN and order a other meal of curry but was to spicy hot to eat complainted to both Bollywood and just eat, after a number of calls, Bollywood manager said who’s to say the chicken come from us? Really !!!!!!!! And Just Eat said could not refund because they are a third party and are not responsible for the service or quality of the food ?

Nice meal, good food, slow service. I just feel we were charged more than the price stated in their menus. I didn't check till I got home. We won't return.

The variety of food on the menu is amazing and the food itself was delicious, so fresh and vibrant will definitely be going again. Was at this restaurant last evening with my family for my birthday. The staff are very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble even though my 1 yr old grandson made an absolute mess on the floor with his food. Food was fantastic and was all served at same time for all of us. Have been here before and look forward to going back very soon

Me and the wife went here early ,only one other couple in there at the time , ordered our food ,the onion bhajis came to us very crispy and black burn marks all over them , we complained they took them back and returned with 2 new ones which were exactly the same .So we tried them but left them to the side , ordered 2 chapattis they we very crispy as if they had just been heated up they wasn’t fresh, so couldn’t eat them , the Bombay potato had a tast to it as if they had gone off so didn’t eat them ,staff didn’t ask if we wanted a 2nd drink, and when we asked for the bill it took over 30mins in the end we got up and went to the bar to pay our selves , we didn’t pay for 2 items the chapattis and onion bhajies, only had 2 Curry’s , 2 Rice’s , 2 nans, Bombay potato which was off, one cobra , and a coke still came to over £40 , when complained to the staff they couldn’t care less , this used to be a good place to go we stopped going there and now we remember why , shockingly pre heated food small portions , they still can’t make fresh chapattis and the service is terrible, the bar staff then tried to offer us an after 8 while standing at the bar paying normally that’s brought to the table once you ask for the bill, THE BEST INDIAN BY FAR IS STILL SPICE IN BARKINGSIDE HIGH ST ,

Never been in this restaurant before. So on my visit what did I think........ beautiful decor, I just loved it. The staff were very polite and the service was excellent. Now for our food........ this was extremely hot and tasted delicious. I’d like to thank all the staff here for a very pleasant evening and a delicious meal

I do not know what has happened here in recent months... still busy but gone very down hill. Food was bland service was slow and the chicken shaslik smelt so burnt and strange completely put off. Manager not the friendliest, wouldnt have us say anything was wrong eventually agreed to remove the dish from the bill. Also check your bill if eating in on our last visit they added some unusual extras (sides and drinks) we didnt have. We won't be back!

I placed an order for a takeaway for a a family gathering at home. We have used this Indian restaurant many many times before. The food was no where near the standard we were used to. The portions seemed very small and the source very watery. The whole family commented on the standard of the food, we spent £94.25 and it was most disappointing. Time to try somewhere else out. We took my brother in law there a couple of months ago, he was over from a Toronto, this time we used the restaurant and the service wasn't great. Bollywoods set the standard but I think it has drastically dropped.

We always loved this restaurant so we're happy when ordering was made easier by being on Just Eat. This is the second takeaway we've had and it's awful. Both dishes were so red in colour it looked luminous and this time round we've been delivered a mixed grill and a chicken tikka so dry I couldn't cut it. I understand they are dry dishes but it was inedible. Also ordered the fried onions and they didn't turn up so absolutely no flavour to the meal at all. Complete waste of money. We won't be using them again. Such a shame as always a favourite of ours.

You should try spicy chicken tikka curry with Pilao rice. Sohel Special.
