The starter cruspy squid was nothing like crispy, rather the dish was very oily obvious that the oil was not hot enough, hard and no taste. The thrice cooked chips underdone not eaten, spoke to the waiter but no response as it was her 3rd day working. Had the fillet steak, not cooked and sauce had very little peppercorns, how can a simple sauce can be difficult to achieve. Very disappointing, will not be returning. Boisdale no more fine dining and very overpriced for poor quality tasteless food.

Wonderful experience of Scottish cuisine without needing to travel north. Tried haggis for the first time and the entire party decided that it's great tasting not "an acquired taste". Next year's European trip with include Edinburgh, so guess what will be on the menu there--haggis!! Service was impeccable the ambience was cozy and romantic. All of the food was outstanding. We will definitely be back the next time we are in London (next October). Highly recommended by all members of this travel group.

Ok so tried Belgravia as very disappointed with Canary Wharf Staff very friendly and attentive We had Sunday jazz lunch as a gift plenty variety on the menu starters were excellent roast beef was ok probably wished we had ordered something else as roast pots were hard work and the beef was average .live music brilliant 3 sets. table all afternoon we arrived at 1pm but to be honest you could order food later wish we had as it was a bit rushed Only downside was the extra charges not Included in the gift .. bread £5 supplement for cheese board wine list quite pricy settled for a bottle at £55 which was one of the cheapest but decent and quite a hefty service charge But Wonderful ambiance within the venue and will visit again but without the gift and drinks your looking at minimum £250 - £300 per couple ( if you enjoy a nice wine and a cheeky gin and tonic )

Service was really bad—second time I’ve been there in a row where this has been the case. Very slow; impossible to get a drink; never done and check in; food was cold by the time it arrived; two steaks…didn’t bring any steak knives…had to walk up to bar to get those; 20 mins just to get the check. Long time customer, but I don’t get what’s going on there.

Booked as a post theatre experience on the basis other branches namely Canary Wharf and Liverpool St have always been impressive. I can't fault the food, starters were on point, fish of the day was also cooked well with nice flavours. I do have to question the service which always contributes significantly to any dining experience especially at these prices. Waiting staff came across as under trained and far too informal, with one young lady waitress constantly referring to my partner as "darling". Perhaps it was the early timing of my booking, I'm sure with live music the ambience goes up a notch but this was a below par dining experience compared to other Boisdales.

We loved our Concert night at Boisdale Belgravia. The quality of the food served was top. Service was very busy as the place was sold out however they were ready to compensate the waiting time with a nice dessert without asking. A bit disappointed by the compulsory Service Charge debited on the bill which could not be tracked in the receipt of our expensive Concert+Dinner ticket of GBP 267. We however unhappily paid, staff explanations were vague.

My Wife and I with her Canadian family members ,finally visited Boisdales in Belgravia, after meaning to for many years! My family is Scottish with Hielan ancestry and Clan Ranald on mothers side. So I was entrigued to visit a London enclave of the Clan, after previousely enjoying the seat of the Captain of Clanranald. On arriving we were graciously greeted with hospitality that wouldnt be out of place in Culloden house, where we also stayed on a milestone birthday to visit the battlefield. I can honestly say that Boisdales has the ingrained ethic of highland hospitality running through every stone and Tartan weave. Nothing was too much for the staff, who were happy and cheerful instead of the often surly attitude one often meets in London. There was music provided by Connor Selby a blues artist, which as a blues band leader myself I thought was an added treat. I would love to play a set there myself. The lager offered to us upstairs in the Cigar and smoking area was amazingly good, as was the dram of Laphroaig served with the correct water to cut and savour, ice was provided for those who use blended whiskey as a staple. The main room was beautifully lit and with gleaming glass and silver ware, whic gave it the ambiance of a major celebration of life. The black faced haggis which people often say is offal, was in fact a complete shock to the Canadians who wolfed it down as their starter, despite being at first wary! My spouse said she would have that as a main course any day it was truly amazing. The fillet steak was a beautiful cut of beef, my wife had Lambs liver and I had the burger which was clearly made from premium beef. The food was faultless as was its presentation. The atmosphere was relaxed and service was perfect, no calling or hand gestures needed to attract staff, they appeared as if by magic in their kilted uniform. My biggest surprise was the bill, as I was aware this is a premium establishment and I expected to pay accordingly given London and Belgravia pricing. I can honestly say that food and drinks for 4 persons with spirits, cocktails and beer came to less than half of what I expected ! The main point being that there are places in central London charging more for mediocre fayre, with Boisdales you get real value for your money, you can be sure that what you order is going to be the very best, and we were amazed at how good the food and drinks were. As you know, Scots are not known for throwing money away, and I can swear on the Dirk that I was never happier paying a bill in my life. I am sure that anybody attending would also feel the same, even a Campbell from Argyle would have to agree, that if you want to be sure of a good night, and happy guests without risking disaster, there is nowhere better than BOISDALES ! I recommend this establishment totally Yours Kenneth R Muir

Popped in on a recommendation whilst on the way to France to play pool for England, from reception through to leaving the staff were superb. I was totally underdressed as I'm travelling from London to France and only wear shorts when travelling. So even though I felt underdressed they made me feel like I've drank in there like a regular. The venue is in its 35th year now and I can't see it declining any time soon. A must visit but a huge heads up, if you want to go after 7pm book in advance with a package they offer as this place is busy nightly with live music 7 days a week.

My wife and I had a fantastic night out here, good food, good cocktails, good service and great music - there really is not much to not like. Some of the reviews on here are almost unrecognisable relative to our experience of the venue and I can only assume that it was bad luck and/or management have taken action. Our waitress - Esther - was excellent despite being very busy. The venue is small but despite this you could find yourself further away from the artist than you would like - pay more for better seating. The food is good and there is more flexibility than the menu might suggest, keep an eye on the extras as they really mount up. The acts come on at 9.30 the ideal time to have dinner is about 7.30, we were there too early, much after 7.30 and you could be eating through the show and when it is super crowded - not very romantic. The bottom line is that you will spend quite a lot of money here - if you do not want to do this, then do not go as it will spoil your enjoyment of the music. Go large here, get a good table, enjoy the food and drink and the wonderful live music.

Jazz brunch at this beautiful Belgravia restaurant. A famous genuinely old Scottish eatery a stones throw from Victoria Station. Food was a mixture of traditional Scottish fayre and contemporary top notch cuisine. The music was provided by an excellent accomplished jazz group with a singer who had a win in Britain's got Talent under his belt. The building is of Georgian origin and retains a lot of the original features and flavour giving a wonderful atmosphere. The service was exemplary and unobtrusive and although a little on the pricier side for drinks then wine was excellent and the cocktails delicious. Highly recommended for a good long Sunday lunch.

An interesting first experience of this Scottish themed restaurant. Well known highland delicacies such as: iberico ham with Spanish tomato bread, fettuccine, okra spinach and chickpea Thai curry and Russian Oscietra caviar demonstrate the versatility in Boisdale’s cheffery. It was excessively noisy on a Thursday lunchtime due to large groups dominating the dining room. My avocado, beetroot and purple kale salad starter was certainly generous (unnecessarily so) and was indeed seeped in salad cream which disguised the flavours of the ingredients. My minute steak (pink only) was nicely seasoned, the spinach was slightly undercooked, truffle and Parmesan chips were very tasty. Service was very good, polite and professional staff were attentive and on hand when needed. I liked this place, it deserves to be doing well, and was almost full during lunch.

We had a set menu, which is fine but NOT worth the price I paid. My steak was MR but one of the driest and flavorless steaks I’ve ever eaten. My friend had the venison sausage and it was just ok. The entertainment was ok, it appeared he really didn’t want to be there. The best part of the evening was the Prosecco and the staff tried to take it when it wasn’t even finished. We chose to dine at Boisdale because of its menu and the live entertainment. This British restaurant is located in Belgravia, London. This unique upscale restaurant has a lively atmosphere. Nice vibe and decor. Tables are very close to each other though. Great selection of food but the service was poor and so slow from the very beginning. It got worse when this place got busy as the live band started around 9pm. I had half a dozen of natural oysters for starter. Fresh and meaty. My main, the Fish Pie was loaded with generous amount of seafood and so delightful. Everyone else was happy with their food too. We had to wait for quite awhile to get attention to order for some desserts. We almost changed our mind for it. Anyway, the sticky toffee pudding was delicious but we’re all agreed that it would be nicer to have it with ice cream instead of cream. Their bar is in a separate room and on the right side of the restaurant. Restrooms are located upstairs. We’re not impressed with the service. Our server wasn’t attentive and seemed too occupied. Probably the restaurant was too busy but NO excuse!

Also we had booked a table in the room with no music (on purpose) but were sat in the main room with music when we arrived and realised when we got the bill that we had to pay an extra £40 for that option. Maybe a little warning would have been nice? Overall a really disappointing experience.

A highly anticipated dinner that didn’t quite live up to expectations. The service was rushed and inattentive. Staff were visibly on their phones rather than table-side. The food was mediocre on the whole. The atmosphere, lighting and decor can’t be faulted. The live show is worth experiencing.

I've been here more times than I can recall. Welcoming staff have always been the highlight, and coupled with live music and a wide drinks choice we've always had great evenings. Whether it's a bottle of Gavi, cigars or a bottle of whiskey we've never had before, every night has been excellent.

First time at Boisdale Belgravia on Friday evening. We had booked dinner and show tickets to see Vanessa Haynes. It was a fantastic evening. The staff were superb from start to finish. Really friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. We had the salmon and crispy squid to start and then the luxury fish pie and fillet steak. All excellent, as were the drinks. The show was amazing. Vanessa Haynes is off the chart as a singer and performer and the band were top class musicians. A must see as they are booked through next year already. A very special birthday celebration night!

Such a great spot for a Sunday lunch - atmosphere was amazing and really enjoyed the jazz band playing. Service was amazing and everyone looked after us so well. Sadly the beef was really poor - had a lovely flavour but it was so fatty and hard to cut through - was disappointing as everything else was great.

The staff was rude and rushed. We felt neglected most of the evening having to ask for more water and drink refills. My son and his girlfriend ate oysters and got seriously ill! Called Boisedale Belgravia to speak to the manager about the BAD OYSTERS and staff member would not even give me the manager’s last name. Not a nice place. Very downmarket and will never go back.

Quo Vadis is a gem in Soho—combining charm, history, and exceptional food. The atmosphere feels warm and intimate, with a touch of understated elegance that makes it as comfortable for a casual meal as it is for a special occasion. There’s a timeless quality about the place, a sense that it belongs to both Soho’s vibrant past and its present. A restaurant that feels personal, welcoming, and consistently excellent—a rare find.

Very little song selections. Several songs would “break” the system and the mics broke twice.

We popped in to make some enquires regarding coming for a pre Christmas lunch, the staff were so welcoming & very helpful with our request.. One of the ladies at reception showed us the restaurant which looked lovely...we came back a bit later to have a drink in the bar, which was lovely, bar staff were polite & equally welcoming. Looking forward to returning soon.
