Went with a partner for a celebratory Lunch, upon arrival, we were told after being seated and given menus that the restaurant was not going to open due to an electrical fault, we were very disappointed but understood, the after care and attitude was terrible, they made it quite impossible to rebook, and were extremely unhelpful refusing to refund the money, the place also looked grubby and tired to be honest, avoid as lots of better options I'm sure

From the moment we were greeted in a friendly professional efficient manner by Kelphina on entering the restaurant we could not have been more pleased or impressed with our experience at Boisdale Belgravia. Food was excellent and atmosphere first class a perfect place for a get together with friends.

My partner and I dine out very frequently, it’s a passion of ours and after a recent trip to Scotland we decided to try The Boisdale. I wish our experience at The Boisdale had been a pleasant one but unfortunately this was not the case. The service was pushy and inattentive, the food was quite frankly awful, we had alerted the waiter who did not give us much of a response and brought over our bill in full even after we had made him aware that the food had not been satisfactory. The wine however was delicious (credit where credit is due). After following up via email several times we were told someone would come back to us which they did not. Appalling customer service. I would avoid this restaurant at all costs, spend your money on a much more pleasant dining and culinary experience, somewhere that would be memorable for the right reasons.

We were so looking forward to our night at Boisdales but it was quite disappointing. The food was very good the live music and atmosphere but the service was awful. Really awful. After being seated we waited 15 minutes to order a drink and that was only because we went up to the bar. We constantly had to chase for more water and drinks. At one point in the evening when I caught the eye of the waitress she came over and rudely said ‘you want something?’ It was also really cold where we were sat by the stage as the doors were kept open. This place is dining out on an old reputation but I’ve had better service in Pizza Express

I booked via open table and had the confirmation ti confirm yet the restaurant failed to humour the booking, which is against the law, so wasn’t given the offer I booked for. Regardless that aside.. 1. Bread was not warm 2. Main courses came when still having starters. Asked if ready said no and still served. 3. Steaks well done not medium rare. Noted would re do but not 3 sides, or keep these warm, so these would get cold so had overdone steak, which was also cold after finishing starters, 4. Sides - brocolli was 3 pieces and neeps and carrots all 1.5 tablespoons of mash - very very small portions 4. Service not great and manager came out and didn’t even look at my phone or booking and said no, which is not in line with regulations, as if booked offer has to honour. I noted booked didn’t care. Also I said perhaps contact open table again he didn’t care so happy to breach rules and regulations (re if offer a price and agree booking at the price it’s binding).

I was first introduced to Boisdale of Belgravia in January 2003 and have been returning whenever I visit London. On my most recent visit in November 2024, my wife and I had an early dinner at this Scottish steak house. The service is friendly and attentive. My wife had Lobster Fettuccine, some of which I ate, with a Spinach side and I had a Green Salad followed by an eight-ounce Filet with Green Peppercorn Sauce and Mashed Potatoes. For dessert my wife had Sticky Toffy Pudding and I had Chocolate Cheesecake. This was a great dining experience. Reservations are recommended.

We enjoyed our time in Boisdale the service was top notch on the dining side. And the service was nice during our dinner event exceptional. Unfortunately I would not say the same for the cocktail I took (old fashioned) was really sweet missing balance my colleagues who took the same shared my experience. Concerning the cigar area it is an amazing place to be I would just recommend the service to let you a pair of matches at the beginning in case you don’t bring yours and take more time to light up the cigar. The single staff member who took care of the area seemed overwhelmed also and could not give us the best service in the cigar area

This is our second time visiting this establishment. Came for the haggis. My husband loves this dish very much. Today is November. Before that we were in July. I took a minute steak, back and and mashed potatoes. I liked everything. The only thing I didn't really like today was the service. Not very attentive, in my opinion. At first a girl served us, but at the end of the day the shift changed and she left without saying anything. Usually the waiter warns that another waiter will serve the guests. So, I had to constantly call the waiter; I rarely came by myself. Next on desserts for three. We took cheesecakes, beautiful, but not particularly tasty, in Russian they would be plasticine. Was the wine great? We took Californian. The place itself is colorful. Everything is fine.

Decepcionado y no volveré.

I specifically mentioned nothing spicy and was brought a quite spicy dish, which I could not have. In terms of service, this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. We were brought the bill 3 times and each time with a different amount and “apologies for the mistake”. We prepaid for the set menu and music online but on the final bill we appeared to be charged AGAIN for the items in the set menu as well as other items that we did not order or recognize. I am glad I checked but I had to send the bill back on three occasions because they would remove the iteams I would point out to add others. By the end I gave up but what was supposed to be an enjoyable date night ended up a very stressful and unpleasant evening.

Booked as a post theatre experience on the basis other branches namely Canary Wharf and Liverpool St have always been impressive. I can't fault the food, starters were on point, fish of the day was also cooked well with nice flavours. I do have to question the service which always contributes significantly to any dining experience especially at these prices. Waiting staff came across as under trained and far too informal, with one young lady waitress constantly referring to my partner as "darling". Perhaps it was the early timing of my booking, I'm sure with live music the ambience goes up a notch but this was a below par dining experience compared to other Boisdales.

My Wife and I with her Canadian family members ,finally visited Boisdales in Belgravia, after meaning to for many years! My family is Scottish with Hielan ancestry and Clan Ranald on mothers side. So I was entrigued to visit a London enclave of the Clan, after previousely enjoying the seat of the Captain of Clanranald. On arriving we were graciously greeted with hospitality that wouldnt be out of place in Culloden house, where we also stayed on a milestone birthday to visit the battlefield. I can honestly say that Boisdales has the ingrained ethic of highland hospitality running through every stone and Tartan weave. Nothing was too much for the staff, who were happy and cheerful instead of the often surly attitude one often meets in London. There was music provided by Connor Selby a blues artist, which as a blues band leader myself I thought was an added treat. I would love to play a set there myself. The lager offered to us upstairs in the Cigar and smoking area was amazingly good, as was the dram of Laphroaig served with the correct water to cut and savour, ice was provided for those who use blended whiskey as a staple. The main room was beautifully lit and with gleaming glass and silver ware, whic gave it the ambiance of a major celebration of life. The black faced haggis which people often say is offal, was in fact a complete shock to the Canadians who wolfed it down as their starter, despite being at first wary! My spouse said she would have that as a main course any day it was truly amazing. The fillet steak was a beautiful cut of beef, my wife had Lambs liver and I had the burger which was clearly made from premium beef. The food was faultless as was its presentation. The atmosphere was relaxed and service was perfect, no calling or hand gestures needed to attract staff, they appeared as if by magic in their kilted uniform. My biggest surprise was the bill, as I was aware this is a premium establishment and I expected to pay accordingly given London and Belgravia pricing. I can honestly say that food and drinks for 4 persons with spirits, cocktails and beer came to less than half of what I expected ! The main point being that there are places in central London charging more for mediocre fayre, with Boisdales you get real value for your money, you can be sure that what you order is going to be the very best, and we were amazed at how good the food and drinks were. As you know, Scots are not known for throwing money away, and I can swear on the Dirk that I was never happier paying a bill in my life. I am sure that anybody attending would also feel the same, even a Campbell from Argyle would have to agree, that if you want to be sure of a good night, and happy guests without risking disaster, there is nowhere better than BOISDALES ! I recommend this establishment totally Yours Kenneth R Muir

My wife and I had a fantastic night out here, good food, good cocktails, good service and great music - there really is not much to not like. Some of the reviews on here are almost unrecognisable relative to our experience of the venue and I can only assume that it was bad luck and/or management have taken action. Our waitress - Esther - was excellent despite being very busy. The venue is small but despite this you could find yourself further away from the artist than you would like - pay more for better seating. The food is good and there is more flexibility than the menu might suggest, keep an eye on the extras as they really mount up. The acts come on at 9.30 the ideal time to have dinner is about 7.30, we were there too early, much after 7.30 and you could be eating through the show and when it is super crowded - not very romantic. The bottom line is that you will spend quite a lot of money here - if you do not want to do this, then do not go as it will spoil your enjoyment of the music. Go large here, get a good table, enjoy the food and drink and the wonderful live music.

Boisdale is an excellent traditional restaurant with very efficient and friendly staff and a Scottish theme. There is also live music on many evenings. For those who like a cigar, there is a rooftop facility for this. The list of whiskies available is truly impressive.

Great seats next to the small stage gave us a good view of the performers. A decent selection of food made all courses interesting, with Kir Royal to start, a nice white wine with the main meal and a Cointreau to end.

Wonderful lunch - beautiful food, excellent wines, superb service and not that expensive. (More than one vegan 'choice' would have been appreciated, however).

Jazz brunch at this beautiful Belgravia restaurant. A famous genuinely old Scottish eatery a stones throw from Victoria Station. Food was a mixture of traditional Scottish fayre and contemporary top notch cuisine. The music was provided by an excellent accomplished jazz group with a singer who had a win in Britain's got Talent under his belt. The building is of Georgian origin and retains a lot of the original features and flavour giving a wonderful atmosphere. The service was exemplary and unobtrusive and although a little on the pricier side for drinks then wine was excellent and the cocktails delicious. Highly recommended for a good long Sunday lunch.

I always appreciate the deco inside Boisdale, cosy and original. Food is good, brasserie like. Service could definitely be improved though. Not cleaning table before dessert is a no-go in a restaurant such as Boisdale.

An interesting first experience of this Scottish themed restaurant. Well known highland delicacies such as: iberico ham with Spanish tomato bread, fettuccine, okra spinach and chickpea Thai curry and Russian Oscietra caviar demonstrate the versatility in Boisdale’s cheffery. It was excessively noisy on a Thursday lunchtime due to large groups dominating the dining room. My avocado, beetroot and purple kale salad starter was certainly generous (unnecessarily so) and was indeed seeped in salad cream which disguised the flavours of the ingredients. My minute steak (pink only) was nicely seasoned, the spinach was slightly undercooked, truffle and Parmesan chips were very tasty. Service was very good, polite and professional staff were attentive and on hand when needed. I liked this place, it deserves to be doing well, and was almost full during lunch.

I had lunch here with a friend on Easter Sunday. Almost everything was great , apart from my lamb, which was inedible. I told the server. She apologised. However, no money was deducted from my bill. If food is inedible, I shouldn't be expected to pay for it. Very disappointed with this establishment.

One of my most favourite restaurants in the world!!! I wanted to try haggis and did some research about the best restaurants in London who offer this traditional dish. I was not disappointed. :) The food quality was out of this world and the service was excellent!!! I want to be back when I will be visiting London again.

An ideal place for a mid-week catchup with friends. The restaurant is ideally located just 5 mins walk from Victoria and the food was good, service excellent and the ambience great too.

Kinda rude not to mention discriminatory to first tell me there is no option to book for 1 person and then tell me to come with someone so I can buy two tickets instead of one.

Celebrated here my son's 30th birthday, with family and friends, a table of 16. We sat in The Courtyard and enjoyed the live music too. Vanesa sang that night Aretha Franklin's songs and she was astonishing. She generously dedicated a happy birthday song to the young man, which made it a memorable celebration. The food was delicious, the service was great and I must thank Alina one more time for pampering us all. The entire team was kind and helpful, during the planning phase as well. Big thank you!

Everything you'd expect from a fine dining establishment of their stature. Their gin and juniper cured venison is one of their really unique dishes.

We had a fantastic evening at Boisdale Belgravia (see spoiler et the end). Our first time there, and the atmosphere was perfect. It was busy, but you could easily hear each other: the staff were terrific; the food and wine were excellent. Loved it. The only horrific moment was when Nigel Farage slid in and, like the Grim Reaper, crept through the dining room, grinning mendaciously through his nicotine-stained false teeth. Other than that, highly recommended!

I booked this as a special dinner for my birthday. We paid for premium seats to hear Stephen Triffitt, we were sat in the middle of the room where I continuously got bumped into. We had a set menu, which is fine but NOT worth the price I paid. My steak was MR but one of the driest and flavorless steaks I’ve ever eaten. My friend had the venison sausage and it was just ok. The entertainment was ok, it appeared he really didn’t want to be there. The best part of the evening was the Prosecco and the staff tried to take it when it wasn’t even finished. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you just get the regular menu, which looked better than what we were offered! So disappointed.

We chose to dine at Boisdale because of its menu and the live entertainment. This British restaurant is located in Belgravia, London. This unique upscale restaurant has a lively atmosphere. Nice vibe and decor. Tables are very close to each other though. Great selection of food but the service was poor and so slow from the very beginning. It got worse when this place got busy as the live band started around 9pm. I had half a dozen of natural oysters for starter. Fresh and meaty. My main, the Fish Pie was loaded with generous amount of seafood and so delightful. Everyone else was happy with their food too. We had to wait for quite awhile to get attention to order for some desserts. We almost changed our mind for it. Anyway, the sticky toffee pudding was delicious but we’re all agreed that it would be nicer to have it with ice cream instead of cream. Their bar is in a separate room and on the right side of the restaurant. Restrooms are located upstairs. We’re not impressed with the service. Our server wasn’t attentive and seemed too occupied. Probably the restaurant was too busy but NO excuse!

Stayed on our wedding night a month ago and I'd made the mistake of not actually booking the hotel (despite being quite sure I had). I tried to check in and when it transpired that I hadn't in actual fact booked a room, the manager (a French man) was exceptionally rude and unnecessarily aggressive towards me inferring I was lying when it was a simple mistake. There were spare rooms and I booked one, which I would not have done if it weren't for the circumstances. After I said "well we don't have to stay here if you have a problem" he backtracked on his rudeness slightly. It was a really uncomfortable way to end our day, made slightly better by a colleague of his meeting us on the stairs and apologising on his behalf. Would never stay here again and very much regret having to part with our money on the night.
