Bodega in Bournemouth

My trousers literally exploded with the joy I received from eating the magical Tapas at Bodega. My arms fell off with the simple amazingness of the place. I shall return for another round of excessive fantasticness very soon. By the way did I mention it’s quite good there?

Went for the first time recently, and we had a fantastic evening. Great service from the staff and really helpful on recommendations. Really enjoyed the 2-4-1 on cocktails pre 7pm... A great environment and will definitely be looking to go again.

Stumpled across this place quite late after work one evening, was such a great find. Can not wait to return for tapas food, just had a drink at the bar and it was so quaint & fancy . Really great guy behind the bar so attentive & kind offering us breads,oils olives ect....... the pino was great! lovely little place. will 100% return .

I was looking for to a few drinks here , we arrived after ten and were told the bar was closed!! The fact that on the website it says 12am close and it obviously isnt is trades distraction ...

Probably the best tapas we've ever had

Food is very average and small portions. Service is slow even when they weren't busy. They added two cocktails to our bill by mistake - luckily I checked. Overall disappointing experience, best avoid.

Bodega is superb. Last came pre lockdown when it was superb also. Tonight the food and atmosphere were great complimented by excellent, friendly service. Best Spanish place in the area by a mile.

Bodega Sunset Cruise is advertised as a bottomless Cava cruise. We paid £60 per head in advance to find that after setting off, we were offered only Prosecco, without any advance warning. This is a straightforward misrepresentation that is both baffling and ruined our evening; if we had known Cava was not being offered we would not have booked the trip. Why a Spanish themed restaurant would substitute a vastly inferior Italian product is beyond comprehension. My complaint was met with a polite apology but no offer of compensation, which would have been a more reasonable response. We have had many happy evenings at Bodega with friends and family, so we are particularly disappointed. Jonathan Cook

Friendly staff, good food and cocktails

We went on a Thu eve and it was a lovely atmosphere, everyone just chatting away over food and drink, the food is the star of the show, it's so lovely to have some authentic tapas, it really did remind us of our Spanish holidays. Each dish we had was so tasty, can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! Service was great and staff very happy. We had a great eve out.

I didn’t know what to expect in terms of quality but Bodega exceeded all my expectations. Great Spanish tapas, probably one of the best I have ever tried in the U.K. Service was also very attentive. I will return for sure.

Had a really great time, went for brunch, the sangria was lovely, the texeira was great and goats cheese and bread and the prawns and everything!! Highly recommend

5/5 - I've been several times, for just drinks, drinks and food, private parties and now a firm favourite the bottomless brunch! Every time I've been the service has felt perfect, attentive and friendly in the right amount! The food is great!! The bottomless brunch is generous and not rushed!! We've just booked to have our next brunch next month! The break with the sausage meat cooked on it is amazing!!! Thanks team! :)

Great wine, cocktails and Tapas

Have been in here a few times and has always been very good. However the last visit was very poor. The person behind the bar didn't seem to know how to serve cocktails properly and I was given an incredibly small glass considering the price they also forgot the finishing touch to the cocktail and I had to ask. My friend also ordered a glass of red wine which the person struggled with and was from a bottle that hadn't been opened so had not had time to breathe. Very poor service

Fabulous service, wine and food!!!

We called into Bodega this evening for a quick drink, what a find! The barman was very welcoming and made me a lovely cocktail. The house red was delicious too, according to my other half. A lovely tapas bar, give it a try 😊

Pop in for tapas and a nice bottle of wine. You won’t be disappointed.

It has a lovely atmosphere even when we went early in the evening. The food is good without being exceptional. The sausage with 'romesco' sauce was odd; just a paste spread on a rather flavourless sausage (not pictured). Other bits of food were tasty. Had a glass of sangria which was delicious! And the cocktails are also great. Lovely staff and got a tasty sherry to finish the meal.

We are Spanish and we can say that you can have authentic Spanish tapas here. We loved the pan con tomate, morcilla and chistorra, with a fantastic cheeseboard. Thank you Karen for making us feel at home.

We really loved this place. Great atmosphere. Staff nice and attentive. Food was lovely, highly recommend the pork cheek as one tapas dish, so tender and delicious. Good wine list and cocktails. Would definitely go again.

Only open for a week, but felt like we had stepped into a bit of Spain. Smallish choice of food on menu which I liked - don’t spend ages scrolling through a huge menu. Food was excellent - the fish and meat were superb. Nicely finished off with cheese and a good, strong coffee. Service was excellent, really made to feel welcome. We will definitely return. Could become a regular haunt!

If you love a continental lunch of cheese, meats, bread and wine then you come to the right place. Fran was our host, an amazing young lady with great knowlege of the produce sold, no hard sell just great advise, definitely would want her on our team.

Lovely wine bar / shop - cozy atmosphere, excellent choice of wine that you can pair with cheese of your choice. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Small cute outside area to the rear. Highly recommended if you are in Christchurch.

Great knowledgable staff, we gave a vague description of what red wine like (& don't like) and were given a delicious bottle within our price range. they were even happy to chill our red ~ do it ! Bar staff were friendly and happy to chat with us when not serving other customers. We came back a couple of times during our holiday and the welcome & service was always fabulous. Very lovely.

Very very happy making. Love the bar stools & slate (I think?!) bar, love the knowledgable bar staff (who aren't trying to flog the most expensive wine) who took our vague description of red wines we like and gave delicious offerings in the price range we set. Provided plenty of water and were happy to chill our red wine (not wierdos). Have yet to try the bottle of red fizz we left with. Thoroughly lovely.

We planned to come here during our trip to Christchurch but it was closed at 5.30pm on a Monday - very sad!

DJ'd a 50th Birthday there on Saturday night. A very nice, clean, well maintained wine bar. Very friendly and professional staff. A nice sized venue for a birthday party with 50-70 people.

Had a fabulous time here with a group of girlfriends. Booked a table, telephone service was very polite and cheery. When we arrived we were offered a choice of where to sit and when we asked to change to a different table they were very accommodating and happy to do it. Corey was brimming with wine knowledge and helped us choose a wine that we all liked. The charcuterie board we received was delicious and the locally supplied crackers, cheeses and olives were delicious. All in all a fabulous night and would recommend to anyone who hasn’t tried before! 👍🏼👍🏼 definitely an example setter for running a friendly and successful bar

Great vibe but miss their champagne beer

We arrived early and already no baked Camembert on an already limited menu. We enjoyed the cheese board, bread was delicious and the white sangria was rather nice too. Would definitely return.

We had an absolutely gorgeous cheese board. Even though we had already been out to dinner we couldn't resist the amazing cheeses and pâté.

Our favourite watering whole of Christchurch the cheese board to share is lovely .The place has a grate feel about it The guys who work there are very passionate about the drink and plater boards and know their stuff .... Well worth a visit

Located in the heart of Christchurch this wine bar has a great selection served in traditional surroundings and decor. The staff are friendly and it’s a great place to meet friends. The food menu is small and the quality needs to up its game.

Went here as a b’day meal with friends and found the booking that we had made was lucky to be honoured by them and lucky to be open as we were told they had a party the previous night. The drinks offering was very limited and the food this evening seemed to fit as long as we were understanding that the night before had taken the best of their offering. Empty Jamon and limited offerings due to the busy day previously. Food that we did get was ok and the bill was surprisingly reasonable.

I thought it was good value for money. Although the wine seemed to be pretty pricey.

Andy and his team from Bodega did our wedding reception in my garden for over 100 people. They did a fantastic job and Andy came up with some great suggestions that worked well on the day. The mobile bar set up is stylish and contemporary in appearance which looked lovely in my garden. I highly recommend Bodega for any events.

I booked a private cheese & wine tasting with Bodega for my friend’s hen do back in April and I can highly recommend them. They came to my home, they provided everything needed and we had such a fun night. Considering it was Andy’s first hen do he came across really calm and confident and made it really interesting. He brought 3 different wines, perfectly paired with 3 different cheeses and there was plenty of both to go round for 3 generous glasses per person - definitely worth the money. It’s definitely something we’d like book again. Thank you Andy & the Bodega team!
