Eat Pho - Authentic Vietnamese Restaurant in Bournemouth

This restaurant is now under new management so you disregard any reviews from the beginning of the year and before. It used to be one of favourite places to eat as everything was freshly made and at reasonable prices. We mistakenly went there again under the new ownership and it's not the same. The microwave was in active operation, the waiter didn't understand any questions related to allergies, service was slow, they wanted to add mandatory tip, the food portions had shrunk, the quality gone down, and the prices up. Unlikely to return.

Most of the meal was loose in the plastic bag, which is no way to eat noodles. The one meal that was still in the container had half of a plastic sauce cap in in.

Foreign object in food. Food was cold and also burnt. Quality was awful. DO NOT EAT

Food was mostly inedible due to being cold and not in the containers. Called the restaurant, who were rude and uncooperative. Told us to bring the food back to them before closing, which is ridiculous, and then said they did not do refunds of any kind.

They tried to charge a tax on top of my bill, I refused to pay that extra tax since there was no explanation for it, they wanted 10% on top of the price shown on the menu. Not going back, I felt I was being scammed.

Went for a quick lunch.My 7 year old granddaughter loved the noodle soup

Came here yesterday and had a worst food and service experience ever. The foods didn’t taste good as a picture. The stick the pictures of foods on the wall but it’s not available to order The service was terrible and still charge near ly 20£ for doing nothing Had to get up myself to take fork and spices The waiter was very slow and seem doesn’t know anythings As a Vietnamese person i wouldn’t recommend it here

Good service. Good food and variety. I came here from london for the beach and also wanted to experience vietnamese cuisine everywhere so came here to try. It did not disappoint at all. I will definetly be back and I 100% recommend.

Edit: This once was my favourite Pho in the country, genuinely, but they've changed their broth to one heavily soy sauce based which really isn't good. There is also a mandatory 10% service charge when paying by card, which is pretty extortionate. I also had a poor delivery experience another time where it didn't show up. - - I was genuinely close to tears upon taking my first sip of their Vegan Pho. I've been trying Pho in every city and country I've visited for the past couple of years, and this is hands down the best I've come across. The selection of mock meat and vegetables worked really well, and the star of the show was the broth - absolutely incredible. Like a hug in a bowl. This'll be a must visit any time I'm back in Bournemouth.

We were welcomed with a very friendly greeting and this was followed up by great food, freshly cooked and very tasty. I'd recommend thin to anyone in the area looking for a good Asian restaurant.

Made a special trip here, having lived in VN for 6 years it's a rare treat to be able to enjoy some authentic food. Sadly they closed almost an hour early, we arrived at 21:10.

My partner and I went in for some dinner. We were greeted by Hannah and got sat down. The atmosphere was nice and cosy. Hannah was very lovely and made us feel very welcome. The food came at a good speed, we didn’t wait too long for our food. Also, the food quality was great as always.

I like this restaurant, food is good and decent in the area, I go there with family one a week sometimes twice but last two time I had my curry noodles it was different from before! It was watery not as appetising and tasty like how it used to. And I just wanted to point it out!

I have ordered pork chop noodles salad and meaty spring roll, prawn crispy. The noodle was ok , it was authentic Vietnamese style. But the meaty spring roll was not fresh inside. And without any dietary equipment. Total £25 I was spend

Starters were very tasty, spring rolls and chicken skewers. Mains were Pho and Wok fried mixed meat noodles both were very tasty too. Pot of green tea also. Good value for money. Good service too.

Best noodles I have ever had; even though I am vegetarian and allergic to soya ; the chef cooked special vegetarian noodles soup for me which was not part of the menu. Great service and fresh high quality ingredients! Highly recommended !

I've been visiting this restaurant for 8 years now, and it never fails to impress. It's the only Vietnamese place in Bournemouth that serves authentic food and not something for foreigners. The owner is incredibly friendly and knows how to make customers happy with excellent treatment. It's truly a delightful dining experience! I also order from them which is a plus! Toilets and the entire restaurant are always spotless.

I always enjoy the food here. It's very fresh, healthy and full of flavour. The staff are polite and friendly. You may have to wait a little bit longer for the food but it's worth it, as the chef makes it from scratch. It doesn't compare to any other Asian food I've had. I ordered the vegan pho. I was served with a smile and the chef came out to assure me it was vegan. It was one of the most delicious meals I have ever had. Just wonderful. Full of flavour!!! Cannot wait to go back next time I visit Bournemouth. Do not miss this place.

If I was sentenced to death, the last meal I would request would be noodle soup(v) from here. If the world was ending, I would eat from here so I could die happy. I would drink the broth itself like a cocktail if I didn't need it for the noodles. If I had to choose one meal to have for the rest of my life, it would be this. If... Anyway you get the gist. Compliments to the chefs!!

Really really tasty food. We got 3 vegan dishes (vegan options clearly marked) and the portions were huge and tasted very fresh. Really welcoming, relaxed atmosphere and look forward to visiting again!

The food was fine, nothing life changing but decent for the price. The service was incredibly slow. It seemed like the one and only waiter - while nice enough - had no idea what he was doing. Also given that there were hardly any other customers there, the food took a very long time to arrive, especially strange when you consider Vietnamese food is normally very fast. Maybe a ton of deliveries going out the back door? Who knows, but overall an underwhelming experience.

Beef pho, beef betel and spring rolls are absolutely delicious here. Chicken pho lacks in flavour, and the desserts are a bit lackluster. However the team and atmosphere here are great, I will go back for the delicious pho 💖💖

This has become my favourite place for Asian cuisine locally. Great little Vietnamese restaurant near Bournemouth’s town centre. I had the spicy chicken wings which are the best I’ve tried. Noodle dishes look good. The prawn summer rolls, spring rolls and the crispy whitebait are also great starter options. Service is not fast but worth waiting for.

Love this cosy restaurant, the decorations are full of cultural touches, I have never been to Vietnam, but this restaurant is recommended by a vitamin friend,she told me the food here taste almost like eating at Vietnam. The chicken wings here is delicious, if you are KFC lover , you’d better try this dish , it won’t let you down , as an Asian personally I don’t like fried rice, friend ordered it and persuaded me to try it, oh my god it is so tasty 😋, and good size too! The second time I came here with other friends, waiting a little longer than the first time, but you can tell they are busy with deliveries, the waiter is very polite warm and chatty , the food just like first time, pleasant and taste just like it looks , I definitely recommend this local restaurant [ThumbsUp][ThumbsUp][ThumbsUp]

Do you want Pho that will hit the spot? Then please don't go here! Even if mediocre Pho is OK with you this will disappoint you. Just walk a few minutes down the road to a proper Pho shop that will be cheaper and leave you satisfied. Avoid.

Been here a couple times. The food is good. My first time I had the seafood (be aware the broth is made from meat stock) and it was very tasty. Today I tried the vegan spicy noodles and it was so good (I'm not vegan btw). The atmosphere is pretty basic. Service is good but depends who is your server. If you're after good, wholesome tasty food and don't mind a cafe atmosphere then give this place a try. You won't regret it

First time eating here, but definitely not the last. It's on our list for our next visit to Bournemouth. Very basic interior (wooden tables and chairs) which might put you off. Don't be out off. The food and the service were excellent. The fried chicken wings were to die for, they and the rest of the food was wonderful! Great friendly waiter. On our bucket list for a re-visit next time we are in Bournemouth

Excellent Vietnamese restaurant. Never had a bad meal. Pho, noodles, salads and curries. You cannot go wrong. Everything is incredibly fresh and bursting with flavour. The owner is incredibly serious about the quality of food and you gotta love him for it. I honestly wish I could visit more often.

We’ve been visiting a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in Europe. The noodles soup has already bean sprouts in it. So it was not crispy but the soup was tasty. The service was slow.

One of my favourite restaurants in Bournemouth. Food, been here a few times and the food and welcome never fails. Summer rolls are amazing, the dipping sauce that comes with them is so full of flavour. Went again tonight, this time tried something different and had the seafood salad. It was delicious.

This is a little gem in Bournemouth. The food is super tasty, the portions generous and the staff is always friendly. They offer takeout too! Would definitely recommend, the Noodle Salad with pork is a favourite!

We come here every time we are in Bournemouth. It’s not cheap, but food is nicely presented and it’s very nice. Very attentive service from the beginning to finish, too!

Salt and pepper chicken wings are amazing, the pho was great too, lots of depth in flavour in the broth.

Very happy evening eating here with the family, trying something new. It’s not a ‘posh’ place, think of a locanta or small cafe, but that’s the style here - just clean tables, no linen and table decs, it’s about the food. Quite right. Food was well presented and hot, tasty and thoughtfully seasoned. Staff helpful and attentive to us ignorant newcomers. Prepared well for a peanut allergy among us, very inconvenient if you are a Vietnamese chef! Thanks people, hope to be back soon. Recommends; chicken wings starter, duck fried rice, special fried rice, and of course the Pho (pronounced “fow”). Went for a walk and ice cream after! MCR evening.

The starters were excellent but the pho was not. The spices and herbs were badly balanced with one prominent note overtaking the dish and ruining the other flavours.

Need more places like this in UK...
