Walked in and ordered a drink...no issues. Asked for a portion of sausage roll...which was on display in the counter next to the bar....but under cling film...to be told "Sorry Kitchen is closed" 😂 Wasn't asking for a meal, just to reach under the cling film and get a piece of sausage roll, which might I add, was.....£4.50! Bizarre customer service! Then the staff stood there having a beer! Never right this place! Give a man his sausage roll and stop using cling film as a magical force field that cannot be penetrated after 10pm!! 1st and last time at BOD trentham!

An identity crisis. Is it a pub? café? restaurant? bar? It’s a café, as I was told when I queried a 1 hour 30 minute wait for food today. We’re not a restaurant, it’s a small kitchen. We can’t cope with al of the orders. The sever didn’t seem that bothered and verged of being rude when he told me this, when I said it’s not even busy today. So why then is there a full menu available? It’s BOD’s 5th Birthday. How can they not have cracked a 1h30 wait for breakfasts in that time frame? Odd. Lots of people came and left. We only had a coffee. Perhaps they can afford to see money walk out the door? If you have a lot of time to waste waiting for relatively simple food, then please go here. If not, plenty of places to go to. A shame, as we’ve been here a few times. We won’t be back to meet up as a group of friends. A very odd experience today.

Employe Staff with Customer skills might help. Woman with a bob (manager ?) occupied a seating area to herself asking customers, who sat there when she left it vacant for a few minutes, to move. ( Customers pay your wages madam !). She Sat on her own the hour we were there keeping the barrister busy delivering drinks and food to her. The barrister herself only smiled when servicing the same woman but had a real attitude with other people as if she didn't like customers or want to be there. Asked couple next to us if they were seeing what I was seeing and the response was "that's the kind of customer service you get here unfortunately", so wasn't just me ! Seems the staff need a shake up ? 😞

We saw this when staying in trentham and thought we would try, gobsmacked at the price of a cup of tea 3.10 and it wasn't nice.breakfast was ok sausage was very nice I asked for scrambled and got poached- I personally think for the price of breakfast you should get more on it like black pudding and a hash brown I ordered my little one some cheese on toast which took ages to come out and they over charged us.I personally wouldn't go back very expensive.

Tried to book a table as there was 9 of us. We were told we couldn’t book and just had to turn up. We then waited an hour and a half for food. When we bought this to the staffs attention we were told “there’s a lot of you and we’re only a small kitchen?” Really disappointing service and the food wasn’t even hot when it finally arrived.

It took over 50mins for our food to arrive and when it did it was like warm, undercooked and poor quality. Very disappointing experience especially as we were with friends and looking forward to a Sunday morning breakfast.

We used to love going the the BOD for catch-up with friends, breakfast, lunch, few beers etc. Sadly its taken a downward spiral. The last 3 times we've been in for food over the last month or 2 the kitchen has been closed. The last time being 2nd December. Arrived to meet friends for Christmas get together and were told no food service, no hot drinks and no bar service at all for at least 30 minutes - it was well over 1.5 hours so we left (they may as well have closed) . This is becoming a regular occurrence. Some of the staff are OK but the majority are rude and miserable and never very welcoming. Food hasn't been that great recently either with some of it significantly over priced. We used to go to the quiz however unless you were friendly with certain members of the bar staff you're lucky to get a table with all the prime tables being held back for their mates. Think it needs a good shake up and a change of management and staff.

Good atmosphere, good food. Bod is well loved by locals for the beer, breakfasts, quizzers, ladies who lunch, pre-Trentham concert drinks. There are always nay-sayers but it’s busyness, compared to competitors is testament to customer satisfaction.

It is always a pleasure to visit the BOD Trentham. The beer is amazing, with lots of choices and sampling preferences, or new experiences is always encouraged. The staff remember names and led by Jon are polite and certainly very keen to please. Whilst I rerely eat there we hear some amazing positive comments. The food on display is always fresh and looks amazing. A key feature of the BOD Trentham is it being a 'community venue' with locals and visitors of all ages interacting and catching up on news and events. Whilst nothing can be perfect, this venue is as close as you can get and is certainly worth a visit!

Tried 3 beers over two nights and they were all off in terms of gas etc - the bar staff knew this and staid they had had complaints re gas with soft drinks etc .’ Staffed with kids who don’t give a monkeys about customer service - go elsewhere there are proper pubs nearby where they don’t think they are something they are not!

Went in for a coffee with friends. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff. Especially young lady named Lisa. Nothing too much trouble for her. Food bit dear. And no free biscuit with our coffee. Which normally get if batista style coffee

This is my second attempt at a review after my first review was rejected for telling the truth - so here goes. Went here for lunch with my parents, just to check the place out. We should have gone to our usual eatery instead. Bod Trentham is situated on a pretty nasty junction of the main road A5035 (Longton Road) and Barlaston Old Road. It used to be the local Nat West Bank and before that Trentham Police Station. When we got there, the place was very quiet. There were two people in the middle of a working lunch discussing how to get their employees onto minimum wage and another chap on his laptop. We sat down and after waiting not too long a time to be fair, ordered. Now I have to mention that the pint of Titanic Plum Porter I had was amazing - one of the best I'd ever had. Whilst waiting for our order to arrive, there came a loud sneeze from the kitchen, followed by hacking coughs - not very hygienic. I guessing this came from the "chef", who appeared wearing a tatty black hoodie and a bandanna - bearded, but no beard net! I ordered the Beef and Gravy Ciabatta and it was dreadful! The "Ciabatta" was more like a cheap bread bap, the beef, (I was expecting sliced beef off the bone as I'd had elsewhere), looked like it was a slice of beef taken from a packet from Aldi. The gravy was the worst I'd ever tasted, not flavour, very watery and weak - I just left it. The meal came with a handful of plain crisps and a small amount of very dry salad. A very poor show indeed and not worth the money. Staff - very poor. They all drifted around looking like they didn't want to be there, either that or it was a case "minimum pay, minimum effort". Didn't engage with us at all and no enthusiasm whatsoever. The management seriously needs to get a grip with this establishment. Park - Forget it! There is only one parking space at the rear of Bod, which is reserved for handicapped visitors. This however always seems to be permanently occupied. There are local streets, but as Trentham is a VERY affluent area, the locals have made it permit parking only. So, either walk or go by taxi. Will not be going again!

I had the misfortune to visit your trentham site on 13th Jan 23,shocking service 40 mins for 2 breakfasts and a piece of toast for my 2 year old grandson!! to top off the experience it was COLD when it arrived. asked the staff to replace - no apology just disappointed looks as if to say how dare you complain 10 mins later it arrived this time it was hot. at the end i was asked how it was and when a mentioned it was a poor experience with slow service the reply was well it only took 40 mins to serve you!!!!! it was not as though you were busy at the time. sorry i will not be attending any of your establishments again if this is the level of customer service that you offer. i except it is difficult to recruit staff at the moment but with this team representing you it is unlikely that trentham will remain open much longer . at best i think that there is a training need

We called in for a drink, as usual the Titanic steerage beer was tasty real ale. However, the place was cold, heating off. We sat by a radiator then realised it was off. Even fire exit wide open... Bod Staff need some training... so miseraerable. I think they feel they are doing customers a favour by being there and serving. A smile would be good...at the very least.

The tables were not cleared. It took 15 minutes to serve a plate of soup with bread rolls (actually warm baguette halves with butter - nice)

I have driven past many times and it is always busy so I thought it must be good! I was mistaken, it must just be the only place open. The oatcakes and the cheese were completely tasteless, the bacon was only half cooked with uncooked white fat - horrible. Sausage was ok. Waste of money for me because we couldn't eat any of it and it was too far to return. Won't be going again.
